"Do I have everything?.. Yes." Brittany held her carry on bag over her shoulder as she walked through the terminal to her gate. The 5 hour flight from San Diego to New York was going to be point A to point B. Jesse had volunteered to bring her to the airport that night in their last goodbye before the tall blonde could make her way back home. It was a cool night with clear skies, the perfect weather to fly in. Something less for her to worry about.
The clock hanging from the tall wall read 12:45, she had 2 hours before she was due to board her flight. By time she got to the east coast, it would technically be about eleven o'clock when she touches down east coast time. It would be Saturday; usually Quinn was a morning bird anyway, so she was positive that someone would be awake by time she got there.
Her phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out and read a text that was sent from Quinn.
Hey B, u awake? I kno it's kinda late, but i have a question.- Quinn
She took a seat at one of the small cafe places and took a seat.
Nah, im awake. What's up girlie?- B
Im gonna call u- Quinn
Her phone chimed and she answered upon the first ring.
"Thank goodness. I still haven't decided which suit I want to wear and I'm so very indecisive." Quinn whispered.
Brittany giggled. "I thought that you already did? You sent me a picture of it like a week ago."
"I mean that was what I was going to pick, but I changed my mind."
"Of course."
"Hey hey, don't judge. Look, I have a couple pictures of me trying each of them on and I'm going to send them to you and tell me which one you think looks the best. Okay?"
"Okay, and why are you whispering weirdo?"
"Well, um, Mercedes is still sleeping and I came out into the hallway to talk."
Brittany facepalmed, realizing that it was in the high hours of the morning over in New York. "Q, send me the pictures and then go back to sleep. I'll take a look at them and tell you later what I think."
Quinn shook her head, but realized that her friend couldn't see her. "Oh come on, just look at them now and then tell me what you think."
"You are such a nervous wreck right now Quinn."
"I am not a nervous wreck Brittany, I'm simply a perfectionist."
"You sound like Rachel Berry right now."
Quinn gasped. "I do not-" She was interrupted by someone grabbing the phone.
"Nervous wreck in deed, Quinn will call you back tomorrow Britt." Mercedes said slightly annoyed.
The tall blonde laughed and picked up the menu, listening to her blonde friend complaining in the background to her mate. Mercedes came back to the phone. "I know it's pretty late over there, what you doing up so late?"
"Uh...just up reading a bit. I saw this nice book in the library and thought I'd check it out." It wasn't a total lie; she had the book inside of her carry on bag.
"Ok. Well get some sleep. Let me get this wreck to bed, I'll make sure she remembers to talk to you tomorrow."
"Alright, see ya."
"Bye girl."
Brittany shook her head and slid her phone onto the small table to continue scanning the menu.
.
.
Mercedes walked into the room and shut the door catching Quinn's small glare. Said girl stood still against the dresser with her arms crossed. The other girl rolled her eyes. "Who are you looking at like that?" She lifted an eyebrow. The blonde quickly looked away and huffed. "Yeah thought so. Now bring your little pale butt back to bed. It's damn near four in the morning."
"No."
"No?"
Quinn uncrossed her arms gripping the edge of the dresser. "You heard me."
"Hm, ok. Why do you want to be stubborn?" She asked sitting at the edge of the bed.
Instead of responding, she just pouted and huffed again.
"Okay." Mercedes crossed her legs and leaned back against the bed. "You do know that there's no rush in finding a suit right? Hell, you could wear sweatpants and a t-shirt and I'll still think you're the sexiest woman alive." She smiled.
Quinn shrugged. "I just want it to be perfect."
"And it will. Relax." She reassured her.
"I guess."
"You know I'm right." They were still in silence before the dark skinned girl stood and walked toward her mate. "Now, come on and lay with me. If we stay up any longer I'm not gonna be able to go back to sleep." She ran her hands along pale arms until she got Quinn to uncross them.
"I don't feel like sleeping now." She sighed.
Mercedes tilted her head. Her mate was always an early riser, so maybe she really wasn't going to sleep anytime soon. "Well since you're going to be awake, you might as well put me to sleep then, hm?"
Quinn lifted a perfectly sculpted eyebrow and smirked. "Oh really?"
Mercedes took the girl's hand and ran it toward her center. "Really."
The smell of her mate's arousal filled her senses and her hazel eyes slowly turned neon green. "You know what?.." She pushed the girl backwards until she fell back over the bed. Quinn crawled between luscious thighs and leaned forward. The fingers ghosting over lace panties, slipped inside, and teased around in the puddle that greeted them. "I can do that."
Santana walked along the sidewalk to her favorite coffee shop, She could have taken her car, but it was a beautiful day outside, so she opted to take a breather. When she arose out of bed, she heard her two best friends going at it like rabbits; a walk through the city would do her some good to let off some steam.
'Must be nice…' She thought. It was late May and she still had another month to go until Brittany would return to New York. The time was ticking slow and eating at her nerves. The last time she saw her mate was a year ago; she couldn't wait to finally be in her arms again, for good this time.
Speaking of her fiance…
"Hey, Britt." She held the phone to her ear.
A swellful smile came upon her lips. "Hey, love. What are you up to?" 'WIFI on a plane, best idea yet' Brittany thought.
Santana sighed sadly. "Just heading to the coffee shop down the road from home. Cedes and Lucy Q are going at it like dogs in heat and I just couldn't concentrate."
"You miss me, huh?" She bit her lip.
"Is that even a question?"
Brittany shook her head. "I know you do. Won't be too much longer San."
Santana pushed the door open and was greeted with the cool AC, which still did nothing to calm her senses. "Ugh, I'm so strung out, it's not even funny."
The blonde smirked, shifting in her seat to aleve the pressure building in her jeans. "Hell when I get back, we can spend all the time you want getting reattached with each other."
Santana felt the heat rise in her face and to other areas. Yes, she was slightly turned on, didn't even have the heart to tell the girl it's reacquainted, not reattached. Either way… "I have no qualms with that amor."
"Mhm." 'Could this flight go any faster…' "Got any plans for the day?"
Santana slid into a small booth away from the chatter of the cafe. "Yeah, maybe. Quinn wants Cedes and I to come out with her to this club called Bounce. Kitty and another one of her colleagues suggested they should have a much needed night out. Guess it has been a while. Before that, the three of us are going to do some shopping after we meet up with your dad; he has some news for us coming down from the Elders apparently."
Brittany's eyebrows furrowed. "He hasn't mentioned anything to me about the Elders. Why hasn't he told me anything yet?"
"He probably just thinks you're busy right now and usually you are." Santana shrugged.
She went for a rebuttal, but instead said, "I'm sorry, Santana."
"No, no. It's fine Britt." The latina couldn't help the sound of her voice however.
Brittany hung her head, guilt-ridden. "No, it's not fine. I'm sorry that I haven't been answering your calls or returning so often. We just got so caught up over here and there was a lot to take in-"
Santana interjected. "Seriously, Brittany, I understand how hard you work. No need to apologize." She said softly.
The blonde took a moment to take a breather. She loved what she did, but she knew what the drawbacks were. Still though, she couldn;t help but feel bad. "Okay. You know I love you right?"
Santana smiled. "I know amor, I love you too. I've never felt like you loved me any less."
Brittany took a quick glance at her watch 'four more hours'. "These days will fly past, trust me. I'll be there before you know it Santana."
"You sure will."
The two lovebirds continued their conversation well into Santana's meal. A frame popped into Santana's peripheral vision as she hung up the phone. Elaine stood with her macchiato in hand, slightly smirking at the young latina.
"Hello, fancy seeing you here, huh?"
It took all of Santana's bearing to keep herself from rolling her eyes. "Elle, hello."
Elaine let out a small laugh. "It's Elaine, remember? I hope I'm not imposing on your free time. Just thought I'd come and say hi."
"Uh, no I was just on the phone with my fiance. Other than that, I'm just chilling." She stressed.
"Gotta get away sometimes, I guess." The tall brunette twirled her drink in her hand. "Mind if I sit?"
Quinn's words from the other night played in her head. '...actually a pretty cool person, with a great personality…'. Eh she seems nice, maybe they could be friends. "Go for it."
"Thanks." Sliding into the other side of the booth, Elaine began again to sip her drink. "So, are you coming out with us tonight?"
"Us, as in?"
"Yeah, Kitty and I asked Quinn if she wanted to hit the club tonight. I figured she would extend the invite to you and Mercedes since you three kind of come in a package deal usually." She explained.
Santana laughed slightly. "That's kind of true. Except, usually it's four of us. Brittany won't be back for another month or so; when she does, we'll be the ultimate package deal again."
"Brittany, huh? I'm guessing that's your fiance?" Elaine was quick to put the cup to her lips to hide her scowl.
"Yep."
"Hm, ok. So, how 'bout it?" She pushed. "I remember the number you wore for the night at the Gala. I can't wait to see what you got up your sleeve tonight…"
Santana crossed her arms and gazed at the girl. If there was a way to roll her eyes out of her own head… "Guess it wouldn't hurt. Maybe Cedes doesn't have anything else to do tonight either, so yeah she'll probably be there too."
A little bit of joy can upon Elaine's features. "Awesome." Her phone chimed, cutting into her conversation. "My apologies, looks like I'm needed elsewhere."
"It's all good."
Elaine took another swig of her macchiato and stood. "So, catch you later tonight."
"Mhm." Cup to her face, Santana pulled out her phone and scrolled to Brittany's contact and hit the message icon. She sat with her phone, ready to send a text to Brittany about her new fan. The idea bounced in her head for a few moments. Elaine doesn't care much about her already being in a relationship. A serious one at that… Her free hand ran through her long curly waves. Taking a deep breath, she clicked off her phone screen and downed the rest of her black coffee.
"Whatever." She grabbed her purse at her side. "I need a drink."

.
Mercedes slumped against the vanity mirror, eyes barely fighting to stay open, heavy breathing and lingering touches. Quinn leaned into her mate, her head resting in the crook of the dark-skinned girl's neck.
Quinn shifted slightly and slid her length out of her mate with a shuddering breath. Kisses trailed from neck to plump lips. The couple were lip-locked for a couple seconds, before the blonde pulled away. "You know, you were supposed to go back to sleep hours ago." She giggled.
The other girl gave an equal grin and ran her hands over Quinn's pale shoulders. "See, I was, but I don't know what happened." She moaned.
"I think I may be rubbing off on you." The blonde smirked.
Mercedes rolled her eyes playfully. "No seriously, maybe. A shot of energy just shot through me and I couldn't stop."
Quinn nodded, pulling her mate off the vanity top and easing her to her feet. "That's common between mates. You are familiar with the term pheromones, right?"
"Mhm." They slid onto the bed facing each other.
"Well, it's like I give off pheromones that can have a direct influence on your psyche and hormones."
Mercedes lifted an eyebrow. "So what, you got me hypnotized or something of the sort?"
Quinn planted a quick kiss on her and exhaled, flopping back onto the duvet. "You can say that."
"Huh. Interesting." The two relaxed in silence until a thought came to Mercedes. "What is it that Britt's dad wants to talk to you and Santana about?"
Quinn shook her head. "I honestly have no clue baby."
"Do… Do you think something is wrong?"
Quinn took a moment to think to herself, blankly staring at the reflection of her and her mate. "I think if there was something wrong, Britt would've known first or maybe he would have waited for her return to telling us all together. Sliding off the bed, she picked up the articles of clothing, carelessly thrown around the floor from earlier escapades. "So, to answer your question love, no. Things may be okay… For now, at least." The blonde threw the clothes into the basket near the wall and opened the bathroom door. "Are you gonna join me, or do you want to rest? No funny business, I promise." She smiled.
Mercedes shrugged and sat up straight. "Yea sure. No funny business though. You promised me that we could go shopping today. Santana may be on her way back by now…"
"No problem."
A few hours passed and Brittany's plane finally touched down in LaGuardia Airport. Again, she slipped into a small cafe after exiting the terminal, deciding to have a little relaxation before calling a cab to get home. Just as she guessed, her plane landed a little after eleven in the morning. Some time before her flight landed, the latina told her that they were still at the mall and were going to be there for a while until it was time to meet with her father. He was in town from Lima and decided that they could meet with him in the City.
That gave the tall blonde just enough time for her to head to their home and get changed for the night out. This served for an even better surprise, given that also the gang were getting ready and leaving Kitty's small apartment to go to the club.
.
.
The cab finally pulled up to the townhome. Brittany climbed out, buzzing with excitement, not even bothering to wait for the driver to retrieve her bag from the trunk for her. Walking blindly out onto the curve and waving a thanks to the driver, she didn't pay attention to the jogger on the sidewalk coming her way. She heard a small 'shit' and quickly shifted her body out of the way at the same time the jogger gracefully spinned out of the way.
Elaine's eyes flashed topaz for a split second as she monouvered herself to spin to the side. Her nerves slightly shook at the intrusion. "Careful blondie." She growled under her breath.
Brittany huffed. "Sorry." Elaine popped one of her earpods back into her ear and continued down the sidewalk, rolling her eyes.
Upon opening the front door, Brittany paused to take a deep breath. "Finally." She smiled. Everything was just as how she remembered, save from a few more photos and new addition of furniture.
The full moon shined bright and young as the group hopped out the 2 cabs they rode in. They made their way into Bounce, surprised at how fast they got through the front entrance.
Santana's eyes went big. "This place is huge." Quinn nodded in approval at the scenery.
Mercedes started to jig from side to side, already feeling the music of the place.
Elaine smirked and nodded. "And, the bartender service is definitely a plus." She spotted Santana and Mercedes hooked to the spot they found and dancing together. "Kitty, Quinn, y'all want to go for a drink?"
Quinn smiled. "Hell yes, let's go."
After a while, the three settled at the bar and began to knock back shots and beer back to back. Mercedes and Santana, still on the dance floor, grabbed drinks from the bartender's walking in and around through the club. The dark skinned girl laughed loudly, throwing her arms around Santana's shoulders.
"I think it's going to be one of those nights." She smirked looking over at the trio at the bar, clearly already halfway drunk. Though, she can guarantee they've drunk way more than she has and will later. 'Damn werewolves'.
"Oh yeah, you already know. I can feel everything about the moon in my veins right now." Santana grinned ear to ear. "Come on, let's take a picture and send it to Britt."
Over at the bar were gazing at the crowd. Quinn tapped Elaine and Kitty on the shoulder. "Thanks for inviting us out. We honestly didn't think it would be jumpin' like this."
Elaine pat the girl on the back. "Of course. We can't be caught up in studying and jittery all the time. Plus, I know you've been nervous about the wedding, so Kitty and I wanted to make sure you relax a little."
Kitty tipped her drink to her mentor/friend. "Exactly. And I'm so not trying to think about senior year. So, before the chaos begins, I'm gonna milk this summer for what it got." She said, downing a shot.
Emersed into conversation and the loud music above them, they hardly paid attention to the tall brunette guy walking up to them.
"Hey ladies. How's your night?" The guy softly smiled. Quinn nodded in greeting. Elaine and Kitty turned at the voice. His eyes fell onto Kitty and his grin grew. Elaine looked to the short haired blonde and raised an eyebrow.
Kitty tilted her head with a smirk and eyed the guy from head to toe. 'Jackpot', her thoughts loud and clear for Quinn and Elaine to hear. "It's going well, but I have a feeling it's about to get better. Who are you?"
Feeling good about getting the girl to talk to him, the guy stuck his hands in his pockets nervously. "Ryder. You?"
"Kitty." She purred.
Ryder blinked a few times. He could've sworn her eyes flashed a cold bright blue. "Uh, you wanna dance?"
Kitty threw back her shot of hennessy and took his big hand in hers. Looking back at the other two, she threw a peace sign up and laughed.
Quinn laughed along with her. "Oh jeez, here it goes."
Elaine hummed. "She's going to tear him apart later tonight, isn't she?"
"Is that even a question?" She responded.
Elaine shook her head. "No doubt she will." Her brown eyes settled on Mercedes and Santana. Her friend's mate was clearly drunk as she giggled as she danced. She saw her eyes land on Quinn. "Seems like someone else wants a piece of a blonde too, eh?"
Quinn grabbed her corona from the counter and rolled her tongue across her sharp teeth. "She's gonna get more than a piece." She growled.
Elaine followed her line of sight again and it landed on Santana again. She felt her blood rise as she traveled her sight over the skin tight black dress the latina wore. She walked a step behind Quinn as they approached the two. Mercedes immediately pulled her mate to her body, running her hands through her hair.
Santana noticed that Elaine was making her way over to them and looked away. Elaine, not deterred, lightly stepped behind and leaned into her. Santana gave a tight lipped grin and raised her eyebrows. She turned her head. "Not so close there tiger."
Elaine laughed and licked her lips. "We're only dancing Santana, promise. No crazy shit." She said, placing a hand on her stomach.
The latina felt herself being led to the rhythm of the song. The bass banged through the speakers, and she took a shot from the bartender walking around with it. The alcohol and music put her in a slight trance. Elaine kept up just fine with her, and she couldn't help but think about the blonde that she would rather be dancing with.
Elaine pulled her closer and continued to move to the music.
.
.
Brittany looked in the window of a car to check and make sure her outfit was still good. Her black and dark blue long sleeve cut off shirt snug tight to her torso, going right along perfectly with the black fitted cargo joggers she wore. She decided to leave her hair in nice waves flowing long around her shoulders and back.
She peered at the photo on her phone, a picture her mate sent to her a little while earlier, and smiled; the caption, Wish you were here was sent right after. As did the rest of the crew earlier, Brittany didn't have to wait in line for a while. She stepped in the scene and could feel the vibes of the club. The pull in her body moved her towards the left side of the club, directly toward her mate. She couldn't spot her yet, but she knew she was there.
Quinn was about to take a shot when stopped, shot glass close to her lips. "What…" Her body slowly stopped dancing as her nose flared, causing Mercedes to turn around.
"What is it?"
Quinn cocked her head to look over at the side where Santana and Elaine were still dancing together. A flash of blonde hair popped into her peripheral vision. Her hazel eyes went wide as she saw Brittany making her way to the two. "No way." A grin formed ear to ear as her excitement increased. "Brittany's here!" She nodded.
Mercedes looked in the direction she nodded and her eyes too went wide. "Well I'll be damned…"
Elaine had her front pressed against Santana as they swayed to the hard bass coming through the speakers. The latina persisted to keep a safe distance between the two of them, but the other girl would slowly step into the space, slightly pushing up into her. She had to admit, the girl had a sense of suede seduction to her. Nevertheless, even with all the alcohol and music placing her in a trance, a shiver ran through her body that she couldn't place.
Brittany shuffled past a group dancing and in her field of view was the back of Santana's posture. It was until she saw Elaine perch her face on the side of Santana's neck, where she stilled. The sight rattled her to the core as she stalked up to her mate.
Santana felt a presence behind her and before she knew it, two pale arms wrapped themselves around her waist and roughly pulled her into the body behind her. She cut herself off from yelling at whatever jerk decided to touch her when she inhaled sharply- a sense invading her psyche. 'Brittany?' Her head craned to look at the face behind her. Brown orbs ran over the pale face and long blonde hair she craved to touch since what it felt like eternity. The blonde's jaw clenched tightly and the latina felt Brittany's hands pulse as her nails elongated.
Elaine stumbled back, alarmed by the slight intrusion and growled. Her sight locked onto bright silver orbs that flashed in the pulsing lights of the club.
The low growl was left upon human ears as Kitty and Quinn's eyes radiated slightly with caution.
Kitty tore her lips from Ryder's and did a 180 from the young man pushed against the wall. Searching from where Elaine was, she found her. The young woman's body locked and a blonde attached to Santana, matching her posture.
