After Sora had fought Xehanort, Eraqus had revealed that he had been inside Terra's heart and convinced Xehanort to give up. After Xehanort gave Sora the X-blade, Eraqus addressed Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. "Terra, Aqua, Ven. Forgive your foolish teacher." Ventus and Aqua rushed into their master's arms.
"Master!" Ventus called out.
"Master!" Aqua sobbed. Ventus and Aqua were both crying.
Terra approached Eraqus. "Master!" Terra threw his arms around his master.
"Ven, I put you through such a harrowing experience. And Aqua, I left you with such a heavy burden. Terra, look after them for me. Please." Master Eraqus requested.
"Don't leave us." Ventus pleaded. To comfort his students, Master Eraqus sang them a song.

Xehanort began to struggle to stand. Eraqus ran over to help him. "Here. Ready, my friend?" Eraqus asked. "Yes." Xehanort replied. They faded into light together.
