Terra, Aqua, and Ventus had defeated a rather large Unversed in Radiant Gardens. Afterward, Ventus had given Terra and Aqua lifetime passes to Disney Town. It was a wonderful moment, but that moment had to end just like all good things do.

"Listen to me, Ven. We need to get you home," Aqua stated.

"It's okay, Aqua. Trust me, that guy in the mask is history. He'll never bad-mouth Terra again," Ventus smirked.

Terra grabbed Ventus's shoulder. "You saw the boy in the mask?" He gasped.

"Y-yes?" Ventus stuttered.

"Vanitas... Ven, you let Aqua take you home," Terra ordered.

"No way! I wanna go with you guys," Ventus tried.

"You can't. We have a dangerous task ahead of us. I don't want you to get hurt," Terra explained.

"And what is this dangerous task, Terra? It doesn't sound like what the Master told you to do," Aqua brought up.

"It might be a different route, but I'm fighting the darkness," Terra replied.

"I'm not so sure. I've been to the same worlds as you and I've seen what you've done. You shouldn't put yourself so close to the darkness," Aqua warned.

"Listen to yourself, Aqua. Terra would never-" Ventus snapped.

"You mean you've been spying on me? Is that what he said to do? The Master's orders?" Terra interrupted.

"He was only..." Aqua trailed off.

"Aqua," Ventus sighed.

"I get it," Terra grumbled before he turned away to leave.

"Terra!" Ventus exclaimed.

"Just stay put! I'm on my own now, alright?" Terra shouted. He continued walking away.

"Terra!" Aqua called after him. Terra stopped and turned back to Aqua, who began to sing.

Aqua: This has to stop now
Whatever it is that you're going through
We'll fix it together, me and you
Just like we've always done

Terra: No! This has to stop now
This thing where you think that you've been my friend
And don't even hear how you condescend
The way you've always done

Aqua: Please, Terra, listen

Terra: I'm listening

Aqua: I know it isn't true

Terra: Isn't it?

Aqua: Just look into my eyes, now

Terra: Well

Aqua: I know you feel it too

Terra looked into Aqua's eyes and began to question what he had been doing. He wondered if he truly was doing the right thing.

Terra: Perhaps I do

Aqua: Please, Terra, listen

Terra: I'm listening

Aqua: I swear it's not too late
So, before another line gets crossed
And everything we've had is lost
Just wait

Terra's resolve to continue doing what he had been hardened. He had just been trying to prove himself, and Aqua would never understand.

Terra: Wait?
No, I won't wait

Terra ran. Aqua called after him, but he kept going and continued singing.

Terra: There's a line between the winners and the losers
There's a line between the chosen and the rest
And I've done the best I could
But I've always known just where we stood
Me here with the luckless
You there with the blessed
And that line between the beggars and the choosers
Is a line you never let me quite ignore
How I've tried
To jump that great divide
But I've never got the chances you were given
You don't know how much I've been denied
Well, I'm not being patient anymore
I'm crossing the line
And I'm done holding back
So look out, clear the track
It's my turn
I'm taking what's mine
Every drop, every smidge
If I'm burning a bridge
But I'm crossing the line"

Even though he knew no one was behind him or could hear him, he turned around hesitantly and thought about his friends as he continued to sing.

Terra: And for us, if we're over, that's fine

Terra turned back and kept moving on, wanting to be anywhere other than his friends.

Terra: I'm crossing the line

Thank you, Noelle Anglade, for favoriting and following.

Noelle Anglade: I had this one in the works before you said anything, so I decided to put this one up first. I like your suggestion of Gaston, but it will take some thought and maybe some time. I have a few rough ideas.
