topsyturvy-dream Totally dedicating this chapter to you, thanks for the great ideas! :)

My eyes slowly fluttered open to find Sasuke barely an inch from my face staring accusingly at me.

"Were you doing that on purpose?" He asked.

I studied his face for a moment, trying to figure out what he was talking about, it wasn't easy when I had just woken up. Unlike me he looked like he hadn't slept much at all.

"Doing what?" I yawned.

"You kept touching me…" he mumbled, already getting his answer from my oblivious reaction.

I definitely hadn't been aware of the mischief he was implying my hands had been causing while I was fast asleep but there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to tease him a little though.

"Where was I touching you? Why don't you take my hands and show me?" I suggested sweetly, laying my hand on his bare thigh. I spotted the twitch in his underwear and moved my hands a little higher.

"Was it here?" I continued.

Sasuke froze, his eyes glued to my hand, he was unsure of how long he would be able to bear the torturous ascent my hand was slowly making but was reluctant to move it away. He didn't want me to know how much I was affecting him already. Just as my fingers brushed against his balls, I stopped, I could hear Yoichi fidgeting, like he always did just before he woke up. I jumped out of bed and started to dig through our luggage for the presents we had brought along with us. It was going to be such a special day, I just knew it.

Yoichi was calmly analysing the book in his hands, it was the first present he had opened. He was sitting in the middle of the room, wrapping paper scrunched at his feet, trying to figure out how to do the difficult techniques involving ninja wire that were explained on each page. It definitely wasn't a book he had ever seen before and he had been reading advanced books for a while.

"I'll teach you." Sasuke said, sitting by our son and ruffling his spiky black hair.

Yoichi raised his eyebrows and looked into his father's eyes, he really hoped he meant it. He really treasured the times they had trained together but he had become more used to training either by himself or with me, he couldn't be sure if his father would really find the time he was promising to give him.

"Really?" Yoichi asked almost shyly.

"Of course." Sasuke smiled, handing him another present.

Yoichi truly believed him, his happy little grin returned and he began ripping the paper from his next gift, his eyes full of excitement. The custom made holster that appeared made quite an impression, it had been specially designed with the Uchiha logo on and Sasuke had filled it with top quality ninja tools. Several new outfits followed, with each top also bearing the Uchiha crest, as well as a few more new books which didn't receive nearly as much attention as the book Sasuke had chosen for him but Yoichi was equally grateful for everything we had bought for him.

"This is definitely my best birthday so far." Yoichi said, he was smiling but he was crying at the same time. I curled my arms around him, pulling him into my embrace and Sasuke did the same.

"I'm so sorry we weren't together for all of your other Birthdays,Yoichi." I apologised, kissing the top of his head.

Regret was an awful thing for both me and Sasuke, it was one of the reasons we tried so hard to be good parents but no matter what we did we couldn't bring back lost time.

"You couldn't help it. Those bad guys took you and Dad was trying to get you back, right?"

We had always been honest with him, after five years without parents, we owed him that at least.

"Right." I sighed.

We had breakfast at the Inn, the elderly lady who served us and the other guests seemed to be looking after us on her own that morning so I offered to help her out. I collected all of the dirty dishes and carried them into the kitchen for her. She explained to me that her daughter, who usually cooked breakfast, had been suffering with awful morning sickness with her first pregnancy and her husband was busy running a shop that they also owned in the village.

"Did you have any morning sickness when you were pregnant, Emiko-san?" she asked, joining me by the sink.

"I don't think so, it seems like such a long time ago now."

The things I remembered most about my pregnancy were Yoichi's kicks, missing Sasuke and my ice cream craving but I didn't want to tell her about any of them, especially the ice cream, everytime I thought about it I was reminded of the different ways me and Sasuke would eat it.

"Time for another one soon then perhaps?" she smiled kindly.

"I hope so." I replied, placing the last dish to the side and drying my hands.

Yoichi's high pitched screech hit our ears, followed quickly by a stream of excited laughter. I had no idea what was going on but he was definitely loud enough to wake up any guests that might have still been sleeping.

"I'm sorry, he's a little over excited. It's his birthday today." I quickly explained, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Oh yes, I remember him telling me when you all checked in yesterday. He's six today isn't he?" The warmth in her smile reminded me that she too was a mother.

Because our trip had been kind of spontaneous we had planned on having another celebration when we got home with friends but the day wouldn't be complete if Yoichi didn't have a cake and some candles to blow out. Looking around the spacious kitchen I was standing in I hoped the elderly lady standing in front of me was as kind as she looked.

"That's right. Could I ask you for a really big favour? Can I use your kitchen to make Yoichi a cake? It would only take me about an hour."

"Of course! I would offer to make it for you but I can tell this is something you need to do." she replied.

I thanked her and went to find out what Sasuke and Yoichi were up to. The other guests had disappeared back to their rooms and it seemed like Sasuke was telling our son a story, it must have been a good one because Yoichi was hanging on his every word.

"Come on you two, let's get ready!" I grinned, clapping my hands together.

Luck must have been on our side because the sky was a beautiful, clear blue and the bright sun promised a hot day. A cool, gentle breeze whipped through our wet hair as we swam in the crystal clear water. Yoichi was an amazingly good swimmer, darting past us almost silently with an enormous grin on his face. It was taking a whole lot of willpower to stay focused on him and not allow my eyes to explore my husband's body. I had seen him topless countless times but there was something different about him in the water. Maybe it was the way he was threading his fingers through his soaking wet hair to push it out of his face or the way the sun was beating down on his skin, I wasn't sure what it was but he had suddenly become even more irresistible.

Sensing my gaze lingering on his chest, his hand found mine under the water and slowly drew me to him. It wasn't just me that was finding being so close in such revealing outfits difficult. Sasuke's eyes were locked onto my chest. My bikini certainly had Sasuke's approval! His fingers caressed my shoulder before toying dangerously with my bikini strap.

"If you tell me you give up I might just take it off." I said quietly enough for only the two of us to hear.

He briefly closed his eyes, when he reopened them they were steady and calm.

"I was just making sure it was on properly." He assured me with a grin.

Yoichi suddenly jumped onto Sasuke's back, "You had your guard down!" He laughed.

"Maybe I was just trying to lure you into a trap!" Sasuke laughed, turning round so I could tickle Yoichi under his arms until he dropped into the water with a splash.

"Hey, no fair!" he giggled, splashing us both.

Yoichi's next idea was very ambitious, he had decided to try and make Konoha out of sand. I had no idea how he was going to do it or if he would even have the patience for something that was bound to take hours but I couldn't wait to see the result. I made our home, even if it didn't look much like it at both Sasuke and Yoichi very kindly insisted that it was really good. Sasuke set himself the task of forming the gates at the entrance of the village as well as the surrounding wall and Yoichi had started on the academy.

As it neared midday, more families started to appear. Yoichi spotted the kids from yesterday and waved them over to help him on his project. They were holding blue popsicles, which of course made Yoichi want one too.

"I'll go and get us some." I offered, rummaging around our towels for my top and skirt.

Sasuke got to his feet, an unintentional frown appearing on his face, "No, I'll go. I'm quicker."

The truth was that he just didn't want me wandering around alone in the village. He knew it was safe and he was just being overprotective but he couldn't help it.

"Okay." With a sigh, I abandoned my search and sat down on one of the towels to watch Yoichi playing with his new friends, whose parents were making their way over to us.

Sasuke crouched down in front of me, pulling on his top. He then found my clothes unbelievably quickly and handed them to me. I didn't need to ask him why, we had been together long enough for me to know that he didn't like other men looking at my body, especially when he wasn't around. If I didn't want a popsicle too I might have refused just to score a few more points in our little game, jealousy always seemed to make him need to have me.

As Sasuke sat watching me, wide eyed, with my popsicle he started to regret getting me one at all. My tongue would glide slowly along the blue ice before popping it between my lips and sucking it, all the while I seemed to be giving him a silent invitation with my eyes. He found himself digging his fingers into the sand, willing himself to think of something else, anything else but he couldn't, all he could think about was making me use my tongue and mouth on him instead.

"What's wrong?" I asked, wondering why my husband was staring at me so intently.

He groaned in frustration, I had got him again without even meaning to!
