Like I said before, I'm so sorry! I know this chapter is short but I promise to get better! Also I decided to go ahaead and continue (obviously) I'll probably edit some old chapters but until then please enjoy!

Chapter Thirty Two: Trouble is Near

June 29

"I can't believe this is actually happening."

Inside of a cozy apartment, clothes were being tossed around all over the floor as a certain black cat was rummaging through her closet. Raven had been anticipating about this trip for the last couple of days, and the day was only a day ahead of her. Her son Sage was crawling on her bed as he played around with his toys.

Raven had come home early from work in order to get her things ready for her trip. As she packed various items in a large suitcase, she thought about the email that her ex had sent her days earlier. She couldn't believe that Shadow had finally come to his senses. She he didn't admit flat out that he's the father, but talking this step proved something to her.

The black feline made sure to pack her best outfits possible. Various tight fitted dresses, heels, jeans, tops, skimpy bikinis, and even lingerie.

"I'm sure Shadow would be excited to see me in this again," she said to herself as she held up a sexy piece of lingerie.

Of course, Raven had other plans in mind other than proving that Shadow was Sage's father. She planned on getting him back. Although it's more lust than love, she figured it'd be easy getting at him once it's finally proven Shadow is the father.

Raven paused her packing and went over to her bed to check up on her son. The baby hedgehog was chewing on one of his toys as he laid on his back with his legs kicked up in the air. The mother cat crawled on to the bed nuzzled her face into his, making him giggled and beam up at his mother.

"Are you excited to see daddy?" she asked him as she kissed his chubby cheeks.

Sage clapped his hands together, not totally understanding what was happening, but happy that he was getting kisses.

Raven went back to packing. After about an hour, she was was finished. She had her suitcase packed and smaller one for all of her son's things. She walked over to a full length mirror and looked at her reflection.

Her body looked fantastic after having Sage about six months ago. Her breast were full, her stomach was cinched and toned, her hips were wide, and her long ebony legs were lean and soft to the touch. She purred in delight of her appearance as her fluffy tail moved slowly behind her.

"Can't wait until tomorrow."

Sonic has been doing better since the whole Sally drama happened. And a lot has changed in a matter of a few days. Sonic's mother had come to the house and fixed up everything from the dramatic day that took place in the master bedroom.

Aleena bought new bed sheets to replace the old one. She rearranged the room, cleaned the floor, she even went as far to buy her son a new flat screen for his bedroom.

His siblings have also helped the blue hedgehog. Sonia had stay over for two nights with her brother and cooked for him as she kept him company. Manic immediately took Sonic out to the bars to make Sonic feel better, and he even convinced the blue hedgehog to pawn the engagement ring, resulting in Sonic is getting lots of money out of it.

Sonic also officially cancelled the wedding, obviously. Doing it actually really made him feel better, it was pretty much his closure for himself. He knew that it would take some time to completely get over everything, but he didn't know he'd be feeling so good so soon. But his family wasn't the only reason why he was in a good mood.

Sonic had been in constant contact with Mina since the day he came home. She was the first person that he told himself about what happened to he and Sally. And of course, Mina had been very supportive of Sonic.

The newly single hedgehog was relaxing in his bed as he was facetiming with the beautiful mongoose.

"I have not moved from this bed since I've been home," he said as he stretched his arm over his head. "

Mina was sitting on her couch with her hair up in a bun and a cup of ice coffee in her hand. She giggled as she shook her head. "Don't you think it's time to get up and do something productive? We've been talking for two hours!"

Sonic pretended to be insulted as he faked gasped. "Well damn! I'll leave you alone then!"

Mina rolled her eyes. "I wasn't complaining, drama king!"

The hedgehog chuckled as he repositioned himself in bed. "Anywayyy, what fo you have planned for the rest of the day?"

"Well I just gotta cleanup the house up before Lily's dad comes over to drop her off," she responded. "He took her out today so I'm sure she'll be pretty tired when she gets here. What about you, bum?"

"Bum it out I guess," Sonic replied as he yawned. "Now that I'm a newly single man, I can just lay here and not nagged to death, so that's one thing."

Mina sensed some hurt in Sonic's joke. "Are you sure you're okay? I know we've already talked about it, but you can tell me."

"Trust me I'm fine," Sonic said as he smiled. "Talking to you really helps, but it would help even more if I could get a hug, but you being across the country doesn't really help."

The mongoose blushed slightly and smiled back. "Just pretend I am and I'm sure you'll feel it."

The talked for a few more minutes before they both hang-up. Sonic always felt good when he got to talk with Mina. She was the perfect shoulder to cry on during these last few days, and he thanked her every chance he got.

Besides talking with Mina, Sonic has been talking with the rest of the gang as well. The guys have taken him out a few times throughout the week. He told them that he was feeling much better, which brought up Mina as being part of the reason why.

The guys suspected that something was happening between the two, but Sonic insists that it's nothing but a platonic relationship. Although, he can't deny that Mina is incredibly attractive.

He also couldn't help fantasizing what could happen between them.

Over at a fancy restaurant, the girls were enjoying a nice outing together. They all just finished eating dinner and were now sipping glasses of delicious red wine.

"I bet they'll either get together or they'll probably stay friends and hook up once."

Amy and Blaze looked at Rouge and laughed. The current topic of conversation was of course about Sonic and Mina.

The pink hedgehog took a sip of wine and ran her fingers through her hair. "I'm sure nothing serious would happen between them immediately," she said. "Obviously he's attracted to her, we all noticed in California. But I don't think Sonic was jump into another relationship after all that happened."

"You have a point," agreed Blaze. "What do do you think Sally is doing now? And where is she even living?"

Rouge scoffed and rolled her eyes. "I'm sure she's just fine. Now that we know Scrouge was involved in all this, I'm sure she got some money out it and is living comfortably." The ivory bat finished her glass and poured herself some more wine. "She's probably hunting for her next victim to get a ring out of it."

"Sounds about right," Amy said. "Anyway, looks like Raven will be here tomorrow." Amy moaned with disgust.

Rouge gulped down her wine. "So soon? Didn't he tell her all that like a few days ago?"

"Yeah but it seems like she really wanted to get her," the pink hedgehog said as she sighed. "But anyway, I just can't wait for this whole thing to be over."

Blaze nodded her head, seeing where her friends frustration is coming from. "What do you think the result will be?"

Amy shrugged her shoulders and drank some more wine. "At this point, I'm not really sure. I just hope that whatever happens, Raven will back off of my boyfriend."

"Oh don't worry honey," Rouge said. "When she gets here, I'll be sure to keep a close eye on her."

After some time, the girls said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. When Amy got home, she showered and got dressed her pajamas. She chatted on the phone with Shadow for a bit till he had to go to bed. Afterwards, she decided to make a phone call to Shadow's mother, Victoria.

The two talked for a bit when Amy decided to bring up the reason why she called.

"I'm not sure if Shadow has told you, but he actually got in contact with Raven about taking a paternity test a few days ago, and I think she'll be here tomorrow."

"Don't worry dear, I'm quite aware," said the older hedgehog. "How do you feel about all this?"

Amy hummed in thought. "Well I've talked about this with Shadow already. I don't care if he's the father or not, either wouldn't bother me. I just hope that this whole thing does come in between him and I."

Victoria sensed Amy's stress, seeing as how this is a stressful situation. "Shadow is crazy about you Amy. He knows by now whats good for him and what isn't. If there's one things I know about my son, is that he learns his lessons quickly. And this demon of a woman was for a lesson."

Amy listened to her boyfriends mother advice and took it all in. She knew Shadow was all about her, she was just nervous as hell for this woman to show up and raise hell. But she knew she had to be confident. She can't show Raven that she's weak and anybody could walk all over her.

After a few more minutes, the conversation ended. Amy yawned and got into her bed, under the comfortable sheets. She knew that she had to be ready for tomorrows unavoidable drama.
