Chapter Thirty Three: Hello Again
Dear Diary,
It's been quite a while since I've written anything, but boy is there a lot to talk about. Although the last time I wrote anything was the day before the gang and I went on vacation, a lot has happened since then. Seeing Tails and a pregnant Cream, finally meeting Shadow's parents, making new memories, and even hearing about Sonic walking in on Sally cheating on him. Of course the idea of Sally being unfaithful wasn't shocking, but it's not everyday that you walk in on the act.
I could go on and on about all that, but what I really want to talk about is that Raven is coming to town. Shadow finally messaged her about this paternity test and she agreed to do it. I guess she's really confident about it.
This whole situation is so stressful. I love Shadow so much, and I wish he didn't have to go though this. Also, who knows what the results will even show. At first, I was always confident that the results would be negative, seeing as how Raven has cheated on Shadow multiple times throughout their relationship. But there could be a small percent chance that Shadow really is the father.
Like I told my girls, as long as Raven doesn't come in between us, I don't care what the results are.
Aside from this whole baby drama, Sonic seems to be feeling better as each day passes. From what I heard, he's been getting close with Mina. She seemed really nice and cool when we met her in California, but hopefully they just stay friends for a while longer. I don't think Sonic is ready to be a father, especially for to a little girl that isn't even his, not that there's anything wrong with that.
But I am glad that he's getting over Sally. His life would of been a complete shit show if they would have actually gotten married. As for Sally, all I can hope for her is that she uses protection I guess. I'm sure she'll be able to find somebody in this world that wouldn't mind how she is, although that seems hard to come by.
Well, I should go. I have to mentally prepare myself for today. Hopefully it won't be a shit show.
Today was the day. At least one of the worst days that was happening right now. Today was the day that Raven and Sage come to town, and Shadow was full of mixed emotions. In a matter of hours, he had to come face to face with his obnoxious ex, and be in the presence of his maybe baby. Even though Shadow was the one to contact Raven and get her here, he didn't think he was ready to face all of this head on. But he knew he had to do this, for the sake of his sanity that is. He knows he can't go any longer with this saga that he didn't ask for.
Shadow finally sat up from his bed, his head spinning from all the scenarios that was filling his mind. He lazily got up from the king sized mattress and dragged his feet over to the bathroom. When he flicked the light on, he stared at his reflection, seeing the stress that was written all over his face. His eyes were red, and slight bags were forming due to sleepless nights.
The ebony hedgehog heard the sound of his phone going off, and picked it up from the nightstand. There on the screen was a notification, stating that he received a text from his ex.
'I hope you have an open room for your son, he's gonna need it! xoxo'
Of course, another taunting text from her. He's been getting these ever since he told her to come.
He paused his plan on taking a much needed shower and walked down the hall from his bedroom. The next room over was used as a guestroom. He opened the door and looked inside. It was a simple room filled with the necessity's. A bed, a nightstand, a dresser, and a TV mounted on the wall. He started to imagine what the basic room would look like if it was a nursery instead. A crib replacing the full sized bed, a changing station taking the place of the nightstand, and possibly a rocking chair would be added. Instead of the dresser being empty, it would be filled with baby needs likes diapers and little onesies for the baby to sleep in.
The idea of having a nursery didn't scare Shadow, or even having Sage there drove the thought away. It was the idea of Raven that made him want to run away screaming into on coming traffic. The black feline would drive Shadow mad if she had to be here for their supposed son.
With a deep sigh, Shadow walked back to his room to take a shower. He hoped that today wouldn't be as a bad as he thought it was going to be.
"Sooo today's the day we get to meet this lovely person we heard so much about, huh?"
"Unfortunately."
Rouge and Blaze showed up at Amy's house upon her request. The trio were seated on the couches in the living room, mugs of coffee in hand as the pink hedgehog rubbed her temples with her eyes closed, clearly stressed.
Rouge leaned over and smacked Amy's hands away from her head. "Don't let this hussy make you this stressed, you'll get wrinkles."
"Kinda hard not to when she'll be here in a few hours," Amy said with an emotionless voice.
Blaze looked at her friend, thinking of the right words to say to comfort her. But what can she say? She opened her mouth a few times, but no words came out. Eventually she asked, "When is she coming exactly? And where is she staying?"
"Well it's about 2 o'clock now, so I think her flight should be coming in by 6. There's a hotel not far from here, so she'll have easy access to drive Shadow crazy."
"Look," Rouge started as turned to face Amy. "When Raven gets here, it's not like she has to see Shadow if he doesn't want to. She's grown enough to order herself a uber or something to get to the hotel. That way, Shadow has at least half a day to prep himself when he does actually see her."
Amy nodded her head a bit, relieving some of her worry. Blaze also agreed and chimed in. "Out of the three of us, Rouge is definitely the more vocal one. What if she comes along with you guys as a way of emotional support?" The ivory bat gave her a look, making the lilac feline add in something else. "Or have Rouge there as a body guard type of thing?"
"Oh gosh, could you Rouge?," pleaded Amy as she clasped her hands together, desperately begging. "I know Shadow is going to be there, obviously, but I need someone there if she decides to start something with me."
Rouge giggled as she flipped her hair. "Of course hun! I've been dying to see this bitch ever since you told us about her. Besides, Shadow is the greatest guy you've ever dated so I need to keep her away from him, although I know for a fact he wants nothing to do with her."
Amy hugged her friend and dropped her head on shoulder, letting go a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much!" She leaned back into her seat on the couch and ran her hands through her hair as she sighed. "Tomorrow afternoon is when we go to the clinic to do the test."
"Trust me," the bat said as she looked at both of her friends. "That bitch will be put in her place if she decides to act out."
Up high in the sky, enjoying her first class flight, was no other than Raven. The black feline was reclined in her large seat as she watched a movie as she munched on a bowl of fresh fruit and sipped on a glass of orange juice. Her infant son was in the seat next to her soundly asleep as he was bundled up in a thick white blanket.
Raven looked to her right outside the window and deeply sighed. 'I still can't believe this is actually happening', she thought to herself as she gazed at the clouds. 'Shadow is finally going to have no choice but to be a father to his son. And get back with me. It's only fair to our son, I can't Sage growing up without a father. What kind of mother would I be to let that happen?'
Of course Raven wanted her ex boyfriend for more selfish reasons other than being a father to Sage. She wanted to get Shadow away from Amy. Sure, she never met the girl, but Raven wants things to go her way. If she wants something, she'll find a way to get it.
A few hours went by, and before she knew it, they landed at the airport. Raven lifted her sleepy son up in her arms, gathered her things, and eventually got off the plane. As she started to make her way to baggage, she took her phone and planned on calling her ex boyfriend to pick her up from the airport to take her to the hotel. When she unlocked her phone, she saw that she had already received a text from Shadow.
'You can text me whenever you land. I won't be there to pick you up. I can order you a ride to pick you up, or a can have a friend of mine to come get you. Let me know.'
Raven rolled her eyes, clearly frustrated after reading the text. She wanted to start argument right there, and complain as to why he can't be here to pick her and Sage up. But she figured she'll have her time to start something with him tomorrow. She's didn't want to take a uber because she didn't want to get in a car with a random stranger. So she decided to go with the second option.
'Fine. Send your friend over.'
Over at Shadow's house...
"Okay man," the black hedgehog locked his phone and place it in his pocket. 'Looks like you get to meet Raven and have some one on one with her after all."
Sonic pumped his fist as he cheered to himself. "Gonna pick up myself a hot little thing," he said slyly as he rubbed his hands together. "I can't wait to get my hands on some nice bi-"
"You're just picking her up from the airport," Shadow interrupted as he started at Sonic with a deadpan face. "Plus, she has Sage with her. Remember that?"
The blue hedgehog rolled his eyes and waved his hand. "Yeah, yeah Shads, I remember. Look, you said before that you wouldn't if I were to hook up with her."
"You're right. I know don't care at all."
"Sooo, I'll go and pick her and her kid up from the airport, take them to the hotel, then keep her company if you catch my drift." Sonic raised his eyebrows up and down as he looked at his friend with a smirk and half lidded eyes. "Just see it as a way of me doing you a favor. That way, I'll be keeping her company the whole time she's here, and she won't be bothering you and Amy."
"Or this is just a way for you to get a quick nut," the black hedgehog replied. "Like I said, do what you want. Just use some heavy protection before she ends ups pregnant and start doing the same thing to you."
Very excitedly, Sonic grabbed his keys from the hook and quickly walked his way out of Shadow's house. He jogged over to his red Corvette, got it, and sped away to the airport.
About thirty minutes or so went by before Sonic finally got to the airport. Shadow told him that Raven was aware of who would be picking her and Sage up since he showed her a picture of the green eyed blue hedgehog. Sonic drove carefully past other pick up destinations from various other flights. He looked to his left as he scanned every person to see if they were the cat he was looking for, all while he made sure to not hit any other cars around him.
Suddenly, after what felt like forever, he finally found her. There Raven was, standing near a bench as she chewed gum while scrolling through her phone. She wore a tight fitted sweat shirt and sweat pants that showed her very curvy figure. His green eyes looked her up and down, landing on her face. He could see why Shadow was attracted to her, besides the other obvious things.
He carefully parallel parked his car beside where the feline was standing. After putting the car in park, he turned it off and stepped out the sports car, turning around and getting a good look at her. He smirked as he walked his way over to her. He cleared his throat, effectively grabbing her attention from her phone.
"Hey there. My name is Sonic. I'm a friend of Shadow's and I'm here to pick you two up." He smiled at her, quickly taking a glance at the baby that was fast asleep in a stroller. "He extended his hand out to her. "You must be Raven."
The black feline quickly checked out the attractive hedgehog in front of her and smiled sweetly at him. "Why yes I am," she responded as she grabbed his hand and shook it. "And you must be Sonic."
"Indeed I am. Shadow was a bit backed up with some things so I volunteered to you both to your hotel."
Raven held the urge to roll her eyes and grinned instead as she kept eye contact. "Well thankfully you're here to pick us up."
Sonic took her luggage and popped the trunk to his car. He stuffed it inside and took the smaller luggage and placed it beside the other one. Raven carefully grabbed her sleeping son from his stroller so that Sonic can close it up and place it in the trunk. Once everything was away, Sonic opened the door for the mother and closed it once she was settled in the seat.
The blue hedgehog quickly ran over to the drivers side and sat inside, quickly starting the car and swiftly drove away. As he drove, Sonic tried to make small talk with the attractive black cat. He didn't want to talk about Shadow or anything to do with the situation as to why she was here, he was sure that she knew that he knew everything.
"Sooo," he started. "Is this you're first time here in Miami?"
Raven shook her head as she looked out the window, admiring the sunny sky above. "I've been here quite a few times. With some friends of mine and once with Shadow."
Sonic chuckled awkwardly at the mention of his friend. "I guess that visit here made him want to move here, huh?"
"Yeah, among other things," Raven replied bitterly as she rolled her purple eyes. Suddenly, Sage reached up with his tiny arms to his mothers breast. The tiny hedgehog had woken up a while ago and was starting to get fussy.
"Aww someones hungry," commented Raven as she lifted Sage up. She then turned to Sonic. "You don't mind if I breastfeed right? I don't have a bottle prepared right now."
Sonic felt his cheeks get hot and his throat dried up. He quickly cleared his throat and looked away so that she couldn't see him blush. "O-Ofcourse not! I mean, you are a mother and that's your child so why wouldn't you feed him?" He blabbered away as he scratched his neck. "I don't see why people get so offended by it. It's completely natural!"
Raven noticed his nervousness and smirked, finding it funny to see this grown man blush. "Exactly," she zipped down her jacket and pulled down her tank top to let her left breast free. "I wish everyone thought of it that way."
Ever so slightly, the blue hedgehog took a quick glance to his right. He looked just in time to see the full, big breast spill from the tank top and the nipple that seemed to be leaking of milk. He looked a head just in time some that the feline wouldn't see him taking a peep.
It wasn't long before they arrived at their destination. Sonic parked his car right by the entrance of the hotel. The two got out the car and the blue hedgehog unpacked the luggage from the trunk, taking it inside for Raven as she pushed Sage in his stroller. Checking was pretty quick, and soon enough, the trio were up on the tenth floor.
Raven swiped the hotel room key and opened the door. "Shadow did a good job," commented Raven as she looked around the room. The suite wasn't too big or small. The room they entered was a small living rom with a couch and flatscreen tv mounted on the wall. The kitchen was at the end of the room. Through the double doors on the right, is the bedroom with a queen sized bed.
The black feline pushed Sage's stroller near the couch, took her jacket off, and tossed it on the piece of furniture. She sensually massged her tender breast and turned around to see Sonic placing her luggage agaisnt the wall. "Thank you so much for taking us here, Sonic."
The blue hedgehog looked up and noticed what the single mother was doing, quickly blushing again. "Ahh, no problem," he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm sure you're pretty tired. It's been a long day."
Raven continued to massage her breast, fully aware of what she was doing. "It sure has. Ugh, my back is aching and I'm just sooo sore! Breast feeding sure does take a toll on you."
Sonic cleared his throat and watched as Raven bent forward to strecth her back, taking the oppurnity to look down her tank top. "You know, I can give you a massage if you like?"
"I would take your offer, but I need to give Sage a bath and out him to bed." She approached Sonic and swiftly wrapped her arms around him for a hug. "But I'm sure I'll be free later tomorrow for it." She hugged Sonic tightly, making her big breast push up agaisnt his chest.
He wrapped his arms around her small waist, smirking in response to her invitation. "Of course, just let me know when you're up for it."
After saying they're goodbyes, Sonic left the hotel, feeling great about himself and looking forward to tomorrow. After giving her son a warm bath and feeding him again, Raven had out the baby to sleep. She got into bed and watched TV with the volume low enough to not wake up Sage. She knew that tomorrow, would be the day of the test. At least she had some potential fun to look forward to.
It was the next morning, and a particular pair of hedgehogs were not looking forward to it. Amy and Shadow were both awake in the pink hedgehogs bed, both of them not wanting to leave it. They've been awake for a while talking to each other, stalling because they both knew what today was.
Shadow had to come face to face with Raven. Amy would finally see Raven in person. And it was the day of the paternity test.
"Okayyy," Shadow dragged out with a sigh. "I think it's time we get up."
Amy groaned with displeasure. "Yeah, I guess." She got out of bed and looked over at her boyfriend. "Think of it this way, once you do the test, we can leave. The test takes a while to get the results anyway."
"I guess you're right," he said as he stood up.
After a few more motivational words from the pinkette, the couple started to get ready. About an hour later, the two were dressed and ready to go. Shadow drove them over to the clinic. Standing outside was Sonic and Rouge. After parking the car, the couple walked hand in hand over to their friends.
"Hey buddy," Sonic greeted as the couple approached them. "How are you?"
"I'll be fine once this whole thing is over."
Rouge nodded her head. "I'm with you there. I already had the honors of meeting Ms. Raven," she said sarcastically.
Amy winced. "How is she?"
"Let's just say I'm not a fan," the bat replied.
Amy looked around the parking lot in search of the cat in question. "Where is she?"
Rouge pointed behind her. "She's inside. She was checking in when we stepped out here."
Shadow sighed heavily as looked past Sonic and Rouge, looking at the front door to the clinic. Just inside is his ex girlfriend and her son, his supposed son that is. As much as he wanted to grab Amy and drive back home, he knew he couldn't run away now. He had to be a man and face this situation head on. Sensing Shadow being hesitant, Amy grabbed her boyfriend's large hand in her small one and gave it a squeeze. She knew that he was scared, but she was going to be with him no matter what.
With a deep breathe, Shadow lead them inside the clinic, with Rouge and Sonic right behind them. As the door opened, the bell above it rang, alerting the people who were already inside. Among those people was Raven, sitting in a chair closet to the door with Sage strapped in his stroller right beside her. She looked up from the magazine she was reading and smirked as she made eye contact with Shadow, who grimaced in response.
"Hello again, Shadow."
