Authors note: Back with a new chapter! Hopefully you all like it!

Since I've been back to writing, I think I may change some plots maybe a tiny bit. I've been drafting for future chapters so I'm trying to decide when this story should end, which won't be for a little while longer. Also, send me suggestions on what other ShadAmy stories you guys would love to hear from me! I've been thinking of some pretty great ones lately!

The next day

Inside of her hotel suite, Raven was taking her time packing her things away. She's been in a depressed since yesterday. And for good reason. She betted everything that Shadow would be Sage's father, but that wasn't the case. She couldn't believe it. She didn't want to believe it at first. She wanted to yell and curse the doctor and make her redo the test, but she knew that the results would come out the same.

Since then, she hasn't reached out to anybody that much. Besides Amy and her friends. She knew that they would be coming today to speak with her. Meaning that she would have to come clean. She knew it had to be done, but she was nervous. More nervous to talk to Amy, being Shadow's girlfriend and all.

She went to her room to check up on her son. Sage was making himself busy as he played with his toys in his playpen Raven had set up. As she looked at her son, she couldn't help but to think about a certain someone. Sage's true father. She hasn't spoken to him in a few weeks, mainly ignoring him. He tried to reason with her, but Raven was too stubborn. And partly ashamed for what she's done.

*knock knock knock*

The sound of the door being knocked snapped the black feline out of her racing thoughts. "Just a minute," she said as she quickly checked her appearance in the nearby mirror. She quickly wrapped her long black hair in a bun, smoothed out her white sweat shirt and shorts, and went to answer the door.

Shockingly, she was greeted by Amy, Rouge, and Blaze. They all smiled as each one of them held peace offerings in their hands. Amy with takeout from a restaurant, Rouge with a big bottle of wine, and Blaze holding a bag filled with baby necessities. Raven stood there with her mouth agape. It's not that no one has never done anything nice for her, she had plenty of friends back in New York. But she didn't expect these women to be so friendly with her, even after how she treated them.

"We thought it would be rude to come here empty handed," Amy said as she smiled.

Rouge nodded her head in agreement. "Especially since everything that happened yesterday, we thought you would like it."

"And of course we had to get Sage a few things," Blaze said. "Couldn't let him leave without a few gifts."

Raven's shocked face soon turned into a guenie smile. "Please come in," she said as she stepped aside to let the girls in.

"Wow it sounds like things have been getting really tense over there, huh?"

"Yeah, not the best of times as of late."

Sonic was at house, in his bedroom talking to Mina on Face Time. He was catching the single mother up with what has been happening in the past few days. Mina was also catching Sonic up with whats been happening with over in California.

"So how are things between you and the ex husband?" Sonic asked.

Mina shrugged her shoulders. "Pretty good actually. We've actually been spending a lot time together with Lily. And he's been dating again."

The blue hedgehog was intrigued by the information. "Really now? How's that going?"

"I knew that sooner or later he would find someone else to move on to, but I'm actually taking it pretty good. I mean, it's not like I can stop him, you know?"

"That's a really great way of looking at things. Sounds to me like things are getting better between you two." He cleared his throat as he thought of his next question. "Soooo, have you been seeing anybody lately?"

Mina shook her head. "Nope. I have gotten a few guys coming my way, but none of them have really caught my eye."

It's safe to say that Sonic was glad to hear that Mina wasn't seeing anybody. Sure, he had a on going sexual relationship going on with Raven, but they both knew it was just that, nothing more. Sonic is really into Mina, but he didn't want to make it known. At least not yet.

"What about you, huh?" asked Mina. "I know the last time we spoke you were pretty much over the whole saga with your ex fiance? Any lucky ladies in your life?"

Sonic chuckled. "Not really. Nothing for me to make things serious at least. Just taking my time before I take things to that level again." Sonic for sure learned from his relationship with Sally. He knew that it was his karma for every shitty thing he's done, but he didn't want that happening again.

"Have you ever thought of taking a trip to Florida?" Sonic asked. He didn't plan on asking her at this moment, but he's been thinking about it for the last few weeks now.

The yellow mongoose smiled at the sudden question. She flirtatiously twirled a lock of her purple hair around her finger. "It does sounds nice. Besides, it is summer time and I'm sure Lily would love to leave town for a bit. She's never even been on a plane before."

"Well there's a first time for everything, isn't there?"

Mina giggled as she leaned her head on her hand. "It's always so good talking with you Sonic," she said, making Sonic smile in return. "I'll definitely try my best to get me and Lily out there. It would great to see you and the rest of the gang again."

"I like the sound of that." The two talked a bit more before saying their goodbyes. Sonic smiled was from ear to ear at the thought of Mina coming to visit. He thought of the pretty mongoose often and he knew that sooner or later he would have to make his move on her. The first move being inviting her to come visit.

Sonic stood up from his bed and stretched his limbs. "Baby steps, Sonic. Baby steps."

Back with the girls, they've been eating and sipping on wine for the last few hours. Before they got to talking about Raven's situation, they've all gotten to know the black feline. She told them about simple things like her childhood and other aspects of her personal life, which eventual lead to her dating. She explained how she met Shadow through some mutual friends of theirs, and slowly began to tell of her secret.

"Where do I even begin?" Raven asked herself as she leaned back into the sofa.

"You start where ever you think is best," Blaze said. They were all seated in the small living room area of the hotel suite.

Raven thought for a bit on how to explain everything that lead to this sticky situation. "Well I guess everything started about two years. Shadow and I were at his parents wedding anniversary party they had at this fancy banquet hall. There was plenty of people there, considering how huge Shadow's family is and they amount of people they know."

*Flashback* (Flashback dialog will be italicized)

The large ballroom was filled with Shadow's family from both his mother and fathers sides of the families. Servants walked around with plates of finger foods and champagne ready to be taken. Music played throughout the ballroom as people danced and socialized. Shadow and Raven left the dance floor after a few songs. The black cat took a seat as she took a sip of some much needed ice cold water.

"We've been at the party for a while now. We were having a great time dancing and what not but Shadow started to get tired."

"With all this dancing, it's safe to say I got my dose of cardio for the week," Shadow said as he took a seat at a table.

"I knew I could out dance you," joked Raven as she sat next to him.

"Yeah yeah," the ebony hedgehog said as he grabbed a glass of water. "You're having fun though right?"

Raven smiled and nodded her head. "Of course! I mean, the place is beautiful. I'm meeting all of your extended cousins, and your mom and I have been talking all night. I just knew she liked me," she said jokingly as she flipped her long ponytail over her shoulder.

Shadow laughed at his girlfriend. Just as he was about to continue the conversation with Raven, some of his cousins had called for him across the room. "Babe, do you mind if go with them for a bit? I don't want to leave you by yourself."

His girlfriend waved her hand at him. "Go on with them. I'm sure you haven't seen them in a while. I'll be fine. Besides, I'm starving anyways," she says as she grabs a plate of salad from the server who approached her.

With that, Shadow left to be with his cousins. Being left alone, Raven started to munch on her salad. She glanced around the room, observing the scenes before her. As she ate, she took nearby photo of Shadow's parents on their wedding, which was placed on every table, and used it to fan herself. She looked over across the room to check up on her boyfriend, just to see him goofing off with his cousins, putting a smile on her face.

"Is this seat taken?"

Raven looked to her right to see where the voice had come from. Before her stood a very black handsome hedgehog. She quickly observed him, taking note of his piercing green eyes, the grayish blue stripes in his quills, and his tall, muscular frame covered in a black fitted tux. She liked what she saw.

"Nope, it's open," she answered as she turned to him. She grabbed her champagne glass and took a quick sip. "I have't seen you around here. Although there's at least more than a hundred people here."

The stranger chuckled as he swirled his drink in his hand. "I'm on of the many many cousins is all." He had a deep voice, similar to Shadow's, and it sent shivers down Raven's spine.

"Of course you are," she said as she giggled. "There's so many of you here that I can't even keep count!"

"Yeah I guess I'm like cousin number 80 around here," he joked. "I can only assume you're either a friend or girlfriend of somebody here?"

Raven nodded her head. "Girlfriend to one of your many cousins. We've been dating for a long while now but it's my first time seeing everybody. It's a bit overwhelming actually." She raised her glass, signaling to a nearby server to fill the empty glass with more champagne.

The ebony hedgehog looked Raven up and down while she wasn't looking. He had to admit, she was really beautiful. He observed her curvy figure which was covered with a skin tight red strapless dress, showing off just enough skin. When she turned back around, her purple eyes made contact with his green ones, and she smiled.

"Do you wanna dance?" he asked as he heard the music change.

Raven, with a very quick thought, said yes. She downed her new glass of champagne with one gulp and stood up. The hedgehog offered his hand to her, and she placed her small hand onto his much bigger one. He lead her over to the dance floor where other people have taken place with their dance partners.

"At first the dancing was innocent," Raven recalled as she thought of the past events. "Some good songs played and we even danced a bit of salsa when some good stuff came on. But after awhile, it felt like I lost track of time. I was having such a great time, and the songs kept on coming. Eventually it started to get a little more flirtatious."

The songs went from light hearted dance numbers to a bit more sensual. But that didn't stop Raven and the mystery man. The more sensual the song became, the closer the two came close to each other. With the help of all the liquor Raven had drank throughout the night, her dancing became more seductive. She turned around as the black hedgehogs hands rested on his shapely hips, and watched as her hips rolled slowly to the beat of the music. He lightly tugged at her hips to pull her closer, which Raven didn't mind at all. At this point, her back side was fully against him and they continued to dance seductively through each song. The very dim lighting definitely help mask the two.

After some time, the two returned to the table that they were seated at. They chatted some more with each other, flirting here and there. At this point, it was very late into the night. The mystery hedgehog stood up from his seat, causing Raven to do the same.

"I should be getting home," he said as he stretched his arms over his head. "Knowing my family, they'll be here all night."

Raven was having a great time with this hedgehog. Maybe it was the alcohol talking, but she suddenly blurted out, "What's your number?"

He smirked in response. He was a little surprised, but he gave in anyway. The two exchange numbers and were saying their goodbyes. Before he could get away, Raven grabbed his hand.

"Wait, what's your name? I can't save this number without it."

The ebony hedgehog took her hand and gently kissed the back of it. "It's Mephiles."

*End Flashback*

Raven sat there quietly, slowly sipping her wine. Meanwhile, the other three woman sat there as they were quickly putting two and two together.

"So...you eventually started to have an affair with Shadow's cousin?" asked Blaze with shock.

"Yes," Raven answered with a heavy sigh. "It didn't start right away, although it might as well have. We started to text each other every now and then, which eventually led to us actually hanging out in person."

Rouge faced the black cat. "Did Shadow know about this?"

Raven shook her head. "Of course not. I mean, at first it just seemed like two friends just catching a bite to eat or going out for a drink. But eventually, the more we started hanging out, the more feelings got involved. He would take me out whenever Shadow was wasn't around, mainly when he had business trips to take. That's actually when we started sleeping with each other."

Amy sat there taking in all the information. She didn't get it. Why would Raven do this to Shadow? And with all people, why with his cousin? She wanted to know where Raven was coming from, but she couldn't believe what she was hearing. But she calmed herself down and decided not to say anything to ruin the vibe in the room.

Blaze could feel the slight tension in the room coming from Amy. She also couldn't believe what she was hearing. She cleared her throat and pushed for the conversation to continue. "So how long was this going on for? I mean, you and Shadow were together for a long time and were even engaged."

"For a while. For the month or two, it was just sex honestly. I guess it was just a change of pace for me to be with somebody else other than Shadow. Then after a while I cut things off because I started to feel guilty about what I was doing to Shadow. Months went by and eventually that's when Shadow proposed to me. But that was also around the same time when I last messed around with Mephiles."

*Flashback*

Raven was alone in the apartment, cleaning things up while Shadow was at work. She still couldn't believe it. She lifted her hand and held it up to the light to admire the beautiful ring on her finger. She was so grateful to be at this with Shadow, but at same time, she felt awful. Here she is, engaged to her boyfriend, and she was still thinking about his own cousin.

They hadn't seen each other for a few weeks, up until a few days ago when Shadow's parents came to visit, along with other members of the family. Including Mephiles. Shadow's parents had a small little gathering at their hotel to congratulate to newly engaged couple. Raven and Mephilies kept up the act of just being friendly with each other, being sure to not be caught alone to raise any suspicions. Although they couldn't stop glancing at each other.

Suddenly a knock was at her front door. She walked over and looked through the peephole, and her eyes widen when she realized who was on the other side.

"What are you doing here?" Raven asked frantically as looked around the hallway, quickly pulling him in.

"I had to see you," Mephilies said as he turned to face her. "You can't do this."

She looked up at him with narrow eyes. "What do you mean?"

"You can't marry Shadow."

Raven rolled her eyes with a scuff. "And why's that? Because that means that we can't fuck around anymore? You and I both know what we've been doing was wrong and it can't-"

"I love you," Mephilies proclaimed as he caught her off. "And I know you love me too, don't deny it."

The black cat stood there speechless. She looked away from him and wrapped her arms around herself. "Don't say that."

"It's true," he continued. "All those moments together, and all the things we've done and the stuff we shared. I saw the look in your eyes when you looked at me a few days ago. I knew what you were feeling. I know you love me."

*End Flashback*

"It started off with no strings attached, and eventually we both ended up falling for each other."

"Why?" Amy asked suddenly. "I just want to know why you couldn't just end it with Shadow before things got so deep with Mephiles."

Raven sighed heavily as she ran her fingers through her hair. "I was being selfish. I loved Shadow but I was also starting to fall for Mephiles. I guess things between Mephiles and I would fizzle out but the exact opposite happened. We spent so much time together that it was impossible to ignore it." Raven sighed again and continue to recall what happened. "Mephiles and I...we ended up having sex. For the last time. I figured that we can say what we say, have fun one last time, and just forget about it. But a few weeks later I realized that my period was late and well...here we are."

The ebony cat felt awful as she told them everything. She could see that it really bothered Amy, rightfully so. "It's my fault that I'm in this predicament, and I apologize for being such a bitch to all of you. I just...didn't want to come to terms with everything. It all was happening so fast that I just lost"

"It's fine," Amy said as she looked over at Raven. "I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I mean, in a way, without you Shadow and I would have never gotten together. And it's safe to say that maybe you were meant to be with Mephiles. You both love each other."

Raven nodded her head. She had to agree with Amy. "Yeah. After all that, he found out I was pregnant. Of course he asked if it was him, but I decided to tell him no because I didn't want to make things worse than they already were."

"Well," Rouge said as she exhaled. "You know this is gonna have to come out sooner or later right?"

The single mother nodded her head. "Yep, can't wait to have this conversation," she said sarcastically.

It was getting late and the girls decided it was time to call it a night. After cleaning up the suite of empty wine bottles and food particles, the girls were heading towards the door. Before she could walk out the door, Raven gently grabbed Amy's hand.

"Amy wait," Raven said as she got the hedgehogs attention. "I know it's asking for a lot, but I really hope we can have a redo and have a fresh start. Also, please don't tell Shadow anything I said. I want to be able to tell him everything myself. He deserves that."

Amy looked in Raven's eyes and could see the emotions that she was going through. She nodded her head, understanding where the black cat was coming from. "I promise I won't say anything. Just be sure to tell him sooner than later."

"I promise I will."

Dear diary,

What a crazy day this has been. I'm still processing everything that Raven told us. Of all the people, it had to be Shadow's cousin. I feel like this is some weird dramatic soap opera come to life. I could only imagine how Shadow will react to all this. Will he act out? Be calm? Not even care? Ugh, who knows. He doesn't know that I was with Raven today, he just thinks I was with Rouge and Blaze. Hopefully Raven does tell Shadow everything. This isn't something that you can just brush under the rug anyway.

Any who, it's time for me to go to bed. These past couple of days have been mentally draining. Hopefully things get better sooner.

Sincerely,

Amy
