Pride of Your Soul

Chapter 35: The Absolute

AN: Oh it looks like you all generally liked Absolute Kyurem. That's good, I was kinda worried about how that would've been received.

Now for part 2 of Kyurem's bullshit. Because this part of Kyurem might be more divisive.

FantasyLover88: Yeah Ghetsis and the Shadow Triad are finally dealt with after everything they did. Yeah without a visual interpretation Absolute Kyurem can be kinda hard to picture, but glad you liked the results!

Tony Anderson: Oh don't worry it'll get cleared up soon.

TheDarkMaster4000: Y'know if you keep poisoning my drinks I just might die and take this with me to the grave. Lol but glad you particularly liked the last chapter.

WarriorElise: Glad you liked the last chapter and everything that happened! Also glad you like Absolute Kyurem!

Jeck: Thank you! And to be fair, no one knew that Ghetsis' cane doubled as a Colress Machine. And yes, Kyurem will still try to destroy Unova. Because grudges die hard, and without it there'd be no final boss.

RedPkmnMaster: We'll get to that, don't worry.

dumbgumshoe: LOL

Alright now onto the story!

Colress panted as he reached Ghetsis' console. It was a rather gruesome battle all things considered. Colress loathed to admit it, but Ghetsis' team was far more balanced than his own, which comprised of mostly Steel-types. Taking out Darmanitan and Seismitoad first was a priority that Colress needed to fulfill if he wanted to win. Fortunately, while Ghetsis' Pokémon were indeed powerful, they were also overly sadistic and thus predictable. Without the madman's guidance, they only cared for attacking what was in front of them. This made for systematically taking them down much easier of a task. Although considering how much of a heavy hitter each opponent was, that was not saying much.

After several close calls with the Darmanitan and Seismitoad, along with the nuisances that Eelektross, Ferrothorn and Cofagrigus proved to be, Colress was able to overcome Ghetsis' team; the very team that slaughtered Roy's own team in cold blood ages ago. It may not be as good as defeating Ghetsis himself, but Colress felt that he got his revenge against the man for what he did to Roy by defeating his team's murderers.

With no more distractions or obstacles, Colress accessed Ghetsis' console, easily hacking through all the securities the man had prepared.

"And..." Colress said as he rapidly inputted his code, before pressing the enter button. "That should do it."

Colress pulled up the map that displayed all the active genesects, before smiling as one by one, all the genesect blinkers turned from red to black, indicating that they were all shutting down throughout Unova.

"Good," Colress nodded. "That takes care of that problem."

Rotom zipped around, floating near Colress' head. Colress petted the wisp fondly, before glancing around the cameras. It would seem that the grunts still in the ship were in a state of disarray, panicking like headless chickens not knowing what to do. Colress could not help but feel pity for the grunts, both inside and outside the ship. They were all being fooled by Ghetsis into thinking that their cause was just; that they were liberating Pokémon just like they did before, albeit in a 'wilder' method.

"This is what happens when you stop thinking for yourself," Colress said. "You reduce yourself to nothing more than a herd of mareep blindly following the houndoom."

Upon glancing around, he noticed that there was one camera that was not responding. Colress checked the camera to find out that it was none other than the camera installed in Ghetsis' cane. The mechanical cane that was purposed with one of Colress' machines. Colress frowned. Ghetsis would never let his cane get destroyed. It was too useful to him to just simply sacrifice. Not to mention that the cane was rather sturdy, meaning that it would have taken a considerable amount of force to damage it, much less destroy it.

There were a few conclusions Colress could easily come up with. One conclusion, and best-case scenario, was that the others were able to defeat Ghetsis before he could achieve his plans, and simply destroyed the cane with whatever amount of brute force they had at their disposal. Another conclusion was that they were still fighting him, but the cane got destroyed in the process, most likely caught in the crossfire if that were to be the case. The conclusion that was the worst-case scenario was that Ghetsis managed to achieve his plans with Kyurem and merely discarded the cane, since he would no longer need it...

Colress shook his head, not wanting such thoughts to flood his mind. They had a group of talented trainers with an army of powerful Pokémon, which included legendary and even mythical Pokémon. No matter how mighty Kyurem turned out to be if it somehow managed to absorb both Reshiram and Zekrom, surely they could stop the dragon before–.

A faint, but distinct roar permeated through the stern of the ship that he was in. Colress never heard this cry before. But he could feel his skin shudder greatly, as he subconsciously recognized just what exactly made that cry.

"...From one problem to another..." Colress muttered as he inputted something into the console, before heading out of the room.

Before he left, Colress glanced to Ghetsis' defeated party. Scowling, he motioned to Beheeyem, who nodded and lifted them all up using a strong Psychic, before carrying them with him as he along with Colress' party followed after their trainer. Regardless of whatever happened, he would rather not come back to these animals waking up and trying to kill him again.

Kyurem let out a mighty roar that echoed throughout the room, everyone doing their best to go against the sheer magnitude of the roar from blowing them away. Nate gritted his teeth, glancing down to his team. They were still unconscious, having been wiped out from Kyurem's previous Ice Burn attack. Nate needed them now more than ever.

Cobalion, Virizion and Terrakion lunged forward, swords brandished and ready to strike Kyurem down. With a valliant war cry, the three Swords jumped up and brought their blades down upon Kyurem. The dragon raised one of his arms up, blocking all three swords with ease, his hide proving to be too tough for the Swords to slice through with ease. Kyurem snorted, before swinging his arm away, flinging the Swords away from him as well. The Swords landed back on their feet, but Kyurem was already one step ahead, having already prepared another storm of Fusion Bolts and Fusion Flares.

"-Ooooh shit...-" Terrakion mumbled, gawking at the barrage.

"DRACO METEOR!"

As Kyurem launched the Fusion Flares and Fusion Bolts, a shower of meteors rained down towards them, colliding with each ball of fire and lightning, causing a slew of massive explosions that saved the Swords from being pelted by fire and lightning. They glanced around to see Hilbert, having sent out Latios, before sending out Samurott and Shiny Haxorus.

"Razor Shell! Dual Chop!"

Roaring, Samurott and Shiny Haxorus charged for Kyurem, wielding their own blades to combat the dragon. That was when everyone else realized that they could send out their Pokémon, and proceeded to do just that. Samurott and Shiny Haxorus both brought their blades upon Kyurem, but the dragon blocked them the same way he did the Swords of Justice.

"Blizzard!"

Before Kyurem could fling them away, Samurott unleashed a harsh blizzard straight into Kyurem's face. Kyurem growled before pushing them away, staggering back slightly and clutching his face in annoyance. Kyurem glared at Samurott and Shiny Haxorus, before sending a wave of sharp icicles shooting out of the ground, heading straight for the duo. The two jumped asides, allowing Heatran to unleash a huge blast of fire, stopping the incoming icicles and blasting them with ease. On top of Heatran was Victini, who was glaring at Kyurem. Kyurem sneered at the two Fire-types as all the other Pokémon accompanied Heatran and Victini. He glanced around, seeing Latios and now Latias, accompanied by the various aerial Pokémon, including the Forces of Nature, Flygon and Mandi.

"No matter how many of you gather, ants are still ants," Kyurem snarled, glaring down upon the Pokémon that stand in his way. "Out of my way, or be squashed under my force like the ants that you are!"

"GO!" Hilbert yelled out.

Flygon, Latias and Latios unleashed their own respective Draco Meteors at Kyurem, who flew back to avoid the gigantic meteor shower, as Mandi and the Forces of Nature pursued.

"Dark Pulse!" Rosa commanded.

"Hurricane!" Hugh yelled out.

Mandi unleashed a beam of dark rings at Kyurem, while Tornadus unleashed several blades of air at him. Kyurem defended himself from the attacks, before summoning several Fusion Bolts and launched them at Mandi and Tornadus. The birds avoided the barrage to the best of their abilities, but ultimately got caught and shot down by the electric onslaught. Landorus and Thundurus, meanwhile, powered through the Fusion Bolts and charged for Kyurem, ramming into the beast. Kyurem was pushed back, while Thundurus and Landorus continued the assault, shooting several Thunderbolts and Stone Edges at Kyurem. The barrage of attacks relentlessly pelted Kyurem, creating a large cloud of smoke that obscured Landorus' and Thundurus' vision.

"-Why the hell did that Electric attack work on me...?-" Thundurus coughed. He was supposed to absorb electricity. Why did Kyurem's Fusion Bolt work on him?

"-Did that work, at least?-" Landorus asked.

The two legendary Pokémon eyed the smoke carefully, waiting for any signs of Kyurem. Suddenly, two glowing eyes illuminated through the smoke, startling Thundurus and Landorus and making them back off. They stopped abruptly, upon realizing that a myriad of sharp icicles were floating around them, with no room of escape.

"-When did he–!?-" Landorus yelled, before he and Thundurus were assaulted by the icicles from all around.

Landorus and Thundurus were taken out instantly, falling to the ground just like Mandi and Tornadus did. Kyurem flung his arm to the side, clearing the smoke that covered him. To everyone's dread, the attacks they fired off at him did not seem to do any meaningful damage. If anything, it only seemed to further irritate Kyurem.

"-DON'T FALTER NOW!-" Cobalion roared as he, Terrakion and Virizion went back into the fray. This time they were accompanied by Heracross, Nina, Bisharp, and all three samurotts. Kyurem clicked his tongue, before proceeding to slam his claw into the ground, causing a massive earthquake to invade the room. The three Swords, Nina and Bisharp expertly maneuvered themselves on the rocks that formed from the earthquake to continue their pursuit on Kyurem, while Heracross simply took flight. Meanwhile the samurotts brought out their blades and slashed through all the debris that threatened to hit them, before charging forward and jumping at Kyurem.

Growling in annoyance, Kyurem flew up and proceeded to sink his claw into the ceiling and drag it across, creating a massive rock slide to bring his opponents down. The swords avoided the rocks and slashed at Kyurem with their blades. Heracross and Bisharp powered through the rocks and attacked Kyurem with Megahorn and Iron Head respectively at the chest, while Nina careened to Kyurem's head with a Flare Blitz, creating a loud thud that echoed throughout the room. To their shocks, however, Kyurem was not fazed by the attacks, much like before. Kyurem slammed his head against Nina, sending her straight into the ground with a loud blow. As Heracross and Bisharp jumped back, Kyurem quickly snatched them in his claws. As they struggled to break free, Kyurem let out a hiss, before compressing burning energy into his claws. Heracross and Bisharp cried out in pain before they found themselves encased in Fusion Flares within Kyurem's claws. Kyurem then glanced down to the three Swords and hurled the two Fusion Flares at them.

"HYDRO PUMP!" Rosa and Hilda yelled out.

Shiny Samurott and Ottavia got in front of and shot out their own Hydro Pumps at the Fusion Flares. The Water-attacks collided with the Fusion Flares, but the massive fireballs showed no signs of slowing down.

"HYDRO CANNON!"

A massive ball of water shot out from behind the swords, careening into the Fusion Flares and extinguishing them, unleashing a giant burst of steam in the process. Heracross and Bisharp, who were trapped within the Fusion Flares, flew to the sides, crashing onto the ground. The Hydro Cannon came from Samurott, who had quickly spotted the Fusion Flares forming and prepared the attack right before Kyurem had thrown them at the swords.

"-Oi, I dunno how long we can last at this rate,-" Samurott said to Hilbert. "-Nothing we throw at it looks like it's doing any damage!-"

"I know," Hilbert grumbled, getting in front of N. "But we can't just give up now!"

"Then will you simply keep struggling against me?" Kyurem asked, seemingly challenging Hilbert and N. "Without your precious Reshiram and Zekrom, you two are nothing but mere mortals. Your attacks mean nothing to the absolute!"

"Then how about THIS!?" Hilda yelled, flinging a pokéball at Kyurem.

The pokéball opened up, and sent out Regigigas, who descended down upon Kyurem, slamming him into the ground. Not even Kyurem could shrug off the sheer weight of Regigigas, as he let out a pained growl upon contact with the ground. Hilda then sent out Shiny Whimsicott as a follow-up.

"Worry Seed!" Hilda ordered.

Shiny Whimsicott shot out a seed and hurled it at Regigigas. The seed made contact with the goliath and sunk into it. Several lights began to flash within Regigigas' black holes, before the titan let out a loud roar and crushed Kyurem into the ground.

"Why you...!" Kyurem snarled, before curling his claw into a fist and jabbing at Regigigas' head.

The punch was strong enough to force Regigigas off of Kyurem, allowing the gray dragon to get back off of the ground.

"Miss Hilda!" Rosa called out, catching the woman's attention. "Can you lend a hand?"

Rosa beckoned to Gustav while pointing to Shiny Whimsicott. Hilda glanced at the two Grass-types, before catching onto what Rosa wanted to plan.

"Whimsicott!" Hilda alerted the cotton Pokémon, pointing to Gustav. Shiny Whimsicott obliged, before grabbing Gustav by one of his arms and heading over to Kyurem with the mushroom in hand.

Kyurem eyed the two Grass-types, but had to shift his attention immediately back to Regigigas, who charged at him without any hesitation.

"Crush Grip!"

Kyurem tried to claw at Regigigas, but the giant swatted the attempt away, before grabbing Kyurem's maw and crushing it within his grip.

"Ice Punch!"

As Kyurem struggled to break free, Regigigas covered its other arm in an icy coating, before proceeding to slam the icy fist into Kyurem's gut. Kyurem gagged, before proceeding to bring up several icicles from the ground to stab Regigigas in the torso. The giant let out a pained groan, but did not drop its attack. Shiny Whimsicott managed to carry Gustav high above Kyurem while the dragon was busy dealing with Regigigas.

"Now, Spore!" Rosa yelled out.

"Assist him with Hurricane!" Hilda commanded.

Gustav aimed his arms at Kyurem and shot out several spores, which Shiny Whimsicott scattered across with Hurricane, coating both Regigigas and Kyurem with the powder. While Regigigas showed no signs of halting, Kyurem caught whiff of the Spore, before finding himself becoming increasingly drowsy.

"Get back!" Hilda ordered Regigigas, who complied and released Kyurem from its grip and stepped back, letting the dragon fall on his feet. "That's good for you?"

Rosa nodded as she glanced down to Eve, who had been spamming Calm Mind this whole time. Gathered to her sides were Magmortar and Carracosta, who were preparing their own attacks. From above, Flygon, Latios and Latias loomed, awaiting their next orders.

"Magma Storm!" Hilbert commanded, where Heatran let out a high-pitched scream and unleashed a torrential inferno at the sleeping Kyurem trapping him in a giant vortex of magma and fire.

"Now! All at once!" Rosa yelled out. "Eve, Hyper Voice!"

"Magmortar, Fire Blast! Carracosta, Stone Edge! Flygon, Draco Meteor!" Hugh yelled out.

"Draco Meteor!" Hilbert and Hilda yelled out in unison.

Regigigas, the three swords and the three samurotts moved out of the way, while Shiny Whimsicott floated above with Gustav in her arms, landing onto Latias' back. Once everyone was cleared out, Eve let out a massive scream, sending out giant pink waves of sound at Kyurem. This was accompanied by Magmortar's Fire Blast and Carracosta's Stone Edge, while Flygon, Latios and Latias summoned another massive meteor storm to careen down upon Kyurem. All the attacks collided with the sleeping dragon, creating a huge explosion that overtook the room.

"No matter how strong Kyurem might be, he's still a dragon," Rosa commented as she shielded herself from the resulting explosion. "This should've done something...!" Everyone waited in anticipation as the smoke rose from where Kyurem stood. Kyurem's eyes suddenly glowed, before letting out an enraged roar that cleared the smoke away, along with pushing everyone except Regigigas back from the pure force of the scream.

"N-No way...!" Hugh gasped. "He withstood all of that!?"

"Wait," N said, noticing how Kyurem was showing a slight pant. "It may not be much, but Kyurem is taking damage."

"Really?" Rosa lit up. "Eve! Geno!"

Eve and Geno nodded, as the metallic bug transformed into their flight mode. Eve hopped onto Geno's back, who took flight and flew towards Kyurem.

"Victini!" Hilbert yelled, signaling his mythical Pokémon to assist Eve and Geno.

"You go too, Meloetta!" Hilda called out.

Victini and Meloetta nodded as they flew after Eve and Geno. Kyurem glowered at the group, before glancing up to the three dragons that hovered above him. One thing at a time, Kyurem thought to himself, as he gripped his claw. A storm of large icicles formed around the group of dragons, before launching themselves at them. The dragons frantically dodged the incoming icicles, but there were too many icicles travelling way too fast for them to keep up for long. The icicles ended up ravaging the three dragons and shooting them down; Shiny Whimsicott and Gustav frantically jumped of Latias as she fell to the ground. This, however, left them open for the icicles to target them instead, desolating the Grass-types in a similar fashion that the dragons just experienced.

Kyurem then glanced down to the creatures on the land, before conjuring another set of Fusion Flares and launched them below. The swords got out of the way, while Magmortar, Carracosta and the samurotts moved to defend the humans from the barrage of fire. The firestorm cleared up, but to their shock, Heatran had taken too much damage from the Fusion Flares and proceeded to collapse.

"Heatran!?" Hilbert gasped. Heatran's ability was Flash Fire: he should have been able to absorb the Fusion Flares with impunity, yet Heatran had failed to do so and was defeated as a result. "How the hell...?"

"Get him!" Hilda growled to Regigigas.

Complying with its master's orders, Regigigas roared and charged at Kyurem. The dragon glared at Regigigas, but was interrupted by Geno shooting Techno Blasts at him. Kyurem's ire was now on Geno, as the automaton flew around, with Eve firing off Hyper Voices from above while riding Geno. Before Kyurem could deal with the new pest, Regigigas made itself known, punching Kyurem straight in the face. Kyurem glowered at the goliath as it went for another punch. Kyurem dodged the second punch, before returning the favor by punching Regigigas in its face. As Regigigas staggered back, Kyurem slashed at the goliath a few more times, before grabbing it by the shoulders and bashing his head against Regigigas' face. Kyurem then raised up his claws and brought them together, before swinging them down upon Regigigas, slamming him into the ground.

"Regigigas!" Hilda cried.

As Regigigas tried to get back up, Kyurem growled as he ripped a rather large and sharp chunk of rock from the ground and lifted it high up above the titan, eager to silence one of the few things that can actually match up to him. Geno acted quicker, however, and blasted the rock into pieces before Kyurem could use it to murder Regigigas. Kyurem growled and shot his glare at Geno, who was flying around him. Eve kept firing off Hyper Voices at Kyurem, which for some reason hurt much more than it had any right to do.

"I don't know what exactly you are," Kyurem snarled, glaring pointedly at Eve. "But all I need to know is that you are a pest that needs to be swatted."

"Relic Song!"

From below, Meloetta let out a rather serene song, invading Kyurem's ears with its angelic tone. Kyurem grunted, before starting to feel drowsy once more. After the song ended, Meloetta changed forms; her long green hair changing for an auburn high bun. Seizing the opportunity, Geno charged forward while shooting more Techno Blasts at Kyurem, who was too drowsy to react properly. The lasers pelted Kyurem's face, before Geno slammed into him with an Iron Head, which allowed Eve to scream a Hyper Voice right in his face.

"GRAAAUGH!" Kyurem snarled, stepping back. "You aggravating nuisance!"

As Geno retreated, Kyurem whipped his arm, sending a volley of Fusion Flares at them.

"-Hang on,-" Geno said to Eve, who clung tightly to Geno's cannon as they sped away as fast as they could away from the pursuing Fusion Flares. Kyurem looked around, noting how Geno was flying around behind him, before firing a lone Fusion Flare to where Geno was forced to escape to. Geno saw the incoming Fusion Flare, and proceeded to turn their body around, forcing Eve off of them as they took the Fusion Flare, followed by the several other Fusion Flares that were chasing after them.

"-Geno!-" Eve cried out.

Geno fell to the ground like a downed plane, crashing against the cold rock surface with dimmed eyes. Eve landed roughly near Geno, where she rushed over to check up on them. "-Are you alright!? C'mon!-"

Thundering footsteps alarmed Eve, who looked up to see Kyurem, staring down upon her. Quaking in fear, Eve stepped back away from Kyurem, before bumping into a wall behind her. Kyurem readied his claws to finish off Eve after the latter had proven to be a nuisance that Kyurem might actually have to worry about.

"V-create!"

"Close Combat!"

As Kyurem brought up his claw, Victini ears began to burn an intense yellow flame, as a red aura surrounded him. Victini let out a cry as he charged at Kyurem, specifically getting his attention away from Eve. Kyurem turned around, before meeting Victini's V-create to the face, engulfing the head in a vortex of violent infernos. Meloetta followed closely, slamming her foot straight into Kyurem's chest while the dragon was distracted with an ignited head. The two small mythical Pokémon were about to charge in for a second strike, but Kyurem grabbed them with one claw despite his head being on fire and encased them in a giant ball of electricity. Kyurem then turned his direction to the group of trainers, before hurling the Fusion Bolt at them.

"SHIT!" Hilbert yelled as he realized their current defense had no resistance against electricity.

"VIRE!"

Suddenly from behind, Vire jumped in front of the group and spread his arms out, taking the Fusion Bolt head on to defend everyone. The Fusion Bolt exploded in Vire's face, but otherwise the Electric-type was fine, save for some slight damage. A defeated Victini and Meloetta were in his arms, which he gave back to their respective trainers.

"Nate!" Rosa exclaimed as everyone turned around to see that the boy was back in action, much to their relief.

Kyurem looked up in alarm, seeing that Nate was indeed able to fight again, with Luca, Bo and Deo having joined Vire's side in the forefront. Kyurem then quickly glanced to the side, seeing Brav grab Eve and Geno with his talons, before retreating back to the human's side.

"So you're ready to fight once more," Kyurem said to Nate.

"Took me a bit to fully heal everyone," Nate shot back. "GO!"

Luca prepped her staff, as she and Deo charged forward at Kyurem, the Swords of Justice and two samurotts accompanying them once more. Kyurem readied himself, before he felt himself involuntarily stagger.

"Hm?" Kyurem muttered, glancing down. To his surprise, there were several vines wrapping around his foot, with Serperior near the foot in question. Kyurem growled as he tried to stomp on Serperior, but the snake was too slippery for him, and quickly retreated back to his trainer's side. Kyurem dismissed Serperior in favor of fending off Luca and the Swords of Justice. The five Fighting-types and two samurotts engaged battle with Kyurem, swinging their weapons against him before backing away to avoid whatever high-powered projectile the dragon would send at their way.

"How long do you think it'll take the Leech Seed to weaken him?" Nate asked Hugh as they monitored the fight.

"Completely? I couldn't even begin to imagine," Hugh responded. "Maybe like an hour or two?"

"Can we even last that long?" Rosa asked as she healed Eve.

"It's an option at least," Nate muttered. At this point he would gladly take any method that had a chance of stopping Kyurem, no matter how unlikely they seemed.

"But still...something's off," Hilbert muttered, getting everyone's attention.

"What's wrong?" Hilda asked.

"Heatran was defeated by Fusion Flare..." Hilbert said. "While Electivire didn't absorb Fusion Bolt..."

"...Wait yeah..." Nate said. "Vire should've absorbed Fusion Bolt with Motor Drive."

"So...do you think it's because of Kyurem's ability?" Rosa asked.

"Most likely," Hilbert nodded, glancing at the conglomerated dragon. "Reshiram's Turboblaze and Zekrom's Teravolt...they both ignored their opponent's abilities in battle. It would be likely that Kyurem's original ability is something similar, if not greater."

Nate stared at Hilbert, taking in the deduction he made, before glancing to the rest of his party. "Zoro, Brav, go help the others. Bo, Vire, you stay back. If Kyurem decides to target us, then we'll need you two to deal with the Fusion Flares and Fusion Bolts."

"-Roger, Boss!-" Bo exclaimed.

"-Alright,-" Vire nodded.

Brav and Zoro nodded, before they took off into the fray. N, in response, proceeded to send out his own zoroark.

"Please help them," N said to Zoroark. Zoroark stared at Zoro, before nodding and chasing after him.

"-You want us to provide any support?-" Ottavia asked Nate.

Nate glanced over to Serperior, who was purposely avoiding catching Kyurem's attention. "No, stay back. If we can keep Kyurem from noticing Serperior, then the Leech Seed will whittle away at his life."

The three Swords kept slashing at Kyurem with Sacred Swords, while backing off away from Kyurem's striking range. Kyurem growled as he noticed Luca was firing off Aura Spheres at him from afar. While they did not do much damage, it was annoying nonetheless. Kyurem punched at Luca, who sidestepped away from it, letting the claw sink into the ground. Luca and Deo took the opportunity to jump onto Kyurem's arm and charge forward to the head. Once they reached the shoulder, Luca and Deo jumped off towards Kyurem. Luca hurled her staff at Kyurem, hitting his eyes with the energy-based weapon. As Kyurem cringed in pain, Luca charged an Aura Sphere with all her might, while Deo brought up his Secret Sword. Luca fired off the giant Aura Sphere, while Deo slashed at Kyurem, nailing him with two powerful Fighting-type moves. As Luca and Deo jumped back, Zoro took the opportunity to sneak behind Kyurem and climb onto his tail, before jumping onto his back. By the time Kyurem noticed, Zoro was already on top of his head.

"-Take this!-" Zoro growled as he slammed a Night Daze onto the dragon's head.

A giant crimson aura engulfed Kyurem's head, while Brav and Zoroark lunged at Kyurem with Brave Bird and Night Slash respectively. The combined forces was enough to topple Kyurem, making the dragon fall on his back as Zoro jumped off to safety.

"-Mama!-" Zoro called out, realizing that his mother was fighting alongside them.

Zoroark looked up, acknowledging her son, before staying on guard. She could catch up with him later. There were bigger things to worry about at the moment. Seeing Kyurem toppled over, Cobalion, Terrakion and Vizirion jumped onto the dragon, pointing their blades at his throat.

"-Your rampage ends here, monster!-" Cobalion declared.

"Don't get so cocky, you mongrels!" Kyurem snarled as he summoned several Fusion Flares and Fusion Bolts directly above himself, aimed at the Swords on his chest.

"-Incoming!-" Terrakion yelled, alerting the other two.

The Swords jumped off as the barrage of attacks rained down, hitting Kyurem in the process. The dragon then proceeded to get back up, not at all fazed by his own attacks.

"-Well, that's not good,-" Shiny Samurott muttered.

"-Yeah he can't even hurt himself!-" Samurott cried indignantly.

Kyurem lifted an arm up and brought it down upon the two samurotts, who immediately blocked it with their swords. It took the combined strength of both of them to prevent Kyurem from outright squashing them. Grunting in pain, the two samurotts shot their Ice-type attacks at Kyurem, forcing the dragon to lift his arm and move away from them, giving the two breathing space.

"-How many hits to the face can this guy even take?!-" Samurott growled. "-I swear to Arceus we've thrown everything at him at his face, and he's still acting like we're nothing but sewaddles!-"

"-More than enough, apparently,-" Shiny Samurott grumbled. "-To him, we might as well be sewaddles.-"

"While this was amusing, I can't waste more time entertaining you mongrels forever," Kyurem announced as he rose up to the air. "I'm going to finish this, if you don't mind."

The purple energy that glowed from Kyurem's body radiated stronger, as Kyurem brought his claws together and created an orb of purple energy.

"What the hell is he doing?" Hugh asked in alarm.

"STOP HIM!" Nate yelled.

Kyurem's white wings and black muscles glowed purple as his tail almost exploded with purple energy as the orb began to grow bigger. All the Pokémon launched their strongest attacks in a frenzy at Kyurem, desperate to stop him from doing whatever it was he was planning. Kyurem shrugged them all off as the orb hovered above Kyurem's claws. The orb was visibly containing explosive purple energy from Kyurem, ready to implode at any second.

"This is the power used to quell a warring civilization eons ago..." Kyurem chanted, his tone making it increasingly ominous. "All shall be reduced to null! That is the declaration of my anger! My resentment! My despair! Witness oblivion!

"TERMINAL VOID!"

Kyurem whipped his arms to the side, launching the orb into the air. The purple orb disappeared, before reappearing above everyone.

"EVERYONE TAKE COVER!" Hilbert screamed as everyone scrambled to do just that. Bo, Serperior, Ottavia and Vire got in front of everyone to shield them from the attack that was about to come.

Everyone else near Kyurem jumped back in alarm, but that did little to help as they were defenseless against Kyurem's attack. The orb gathered ominous purple energy into itself, radiating an equally ominous aura that filled everyone with dread. The orb then shrank into a miniscule size, before it quickly expanded into a gargantuan purple explosion, swallowing everyone and everything in the room without remorse.

"-Ugh...-"

Eve grunted and groaned in pain, groggily waking up. "-Huh...?-"

The fox slowly got up, her body riddled in agony. "-What happened...?-" she asked as she looked around, before horror flooded her expression and thoughts.

The cave looked devastated, most likely from that last attack Kyurem did. Eve looked in front of her, finding an unconscious Rosa.

"-Rosa!-" Eve cried out in dismay as she rushed over to her. "-Rosa!? Rosa!?-"

Rosa groaned painfully, before opening her eyes to see Eve. "Eve...you're alright...thank goodness..."

Rosa smiled, before proceeding to collapse again. Eve looked around, before realizing that she was the only Pokémon left who was still active. All the other Pokémon were collapsed on the floor in total unconsciousness. Bo, Ottavia, Serperior, Vire, the Swords, everyone was down. Eve was the only one standing.

"-Y-You guys!-" Eve cried out, frantically looking around for anyone who had managed to survive the attack.

"Hm, so you still stand."

Eve froze up, before slowly looking up to see Kyurem standing above her, his yellow eyes gleaming menacingly. The fox quivered in terror, only letting out fear-induced squeaks as she stepped back.

"Among you all, you are the only one who managed to withstand my Terminal Void," Kyurem commented. "Come to think about it, what are you anyways? I've never seen anything like you before...are you perhaps foreign from this land?"

Eve tried to make a reply, but words failed to form in her throat, the only thing that Eve could utter was pure and utter fear.

"But why only you?" Kyurem asked. "Is it perhaps you have some kind of blessing that shields you from even the mightiest of Dragon attacks? A typing that is new to Unova? Or perhaps an ability? Your attacks should not have harmed me that much, considering they should be Normal at best."

Kyurem lowered his head until it was right above Eve, who lost her balance and fell onto her knees.

"How shall we go about testing this hypothesis?" Kyurem asked sadistically. "Shall I keep throwing you into the void to see if that was just a fluke or not? Or shall I throw my other attacks at you to see if you are immune to those as well? Or shall I simply test my own physical strength and see if you are immune to that?"

She was going to die.

It did not matter whether she was immune to Dragon-type attacks. It did not matter whether her typing was advantageous against Dragons. Not even the Swords of Justice could stop Kyurem. There was no way she could defeat Kyurem on her own. Eve could not even find the strength to stand up against the evil monster that threatened her home.

As Kyurem gripped his claws, a lone Aura Sphere shot at Kyurem's back. Kyurem looked behind him to spot Luca, barely clinging onto life while having shot an Aura Sphere at Kyurem defiantly.

"-I...won't let you...-" Luca growled tiredly.

"-M-Miss Luca...!-" Eve almost bawled.

"So you withstood the attack as well," Kyurem said, before noticing how much damage she actually took from his Terminal Void. "Although not quite as well as you'd had hoped, I'll assume."

Eve was too busy staring at Luca that she did not notice a shadow creeping over her. Eve looked up to see that it was Nate, who looked even worse than Luca, shakily clutching his knife in his hand and glowering at Kyurem.

"-N-Nate...!-" Eve gasped.

Kyurem glanced to Nate, now looking much more surprised. "...So how did you survive? I know I was holding back somewhat so that you humans didn't outright die, but you should've been knocked out for a good while at least."

'-He was holding back!?-' Eve mentally paled.

"I'm gonna have to apologize to Bo and Vire later," Nate coughed. "They took the hit for me. And even then, I'm just barely standing."

"You two always seem to impress," Kyurem said, glancing at Nate, before looking over to Luca. "Not just me, but I'm sure you never fail to impress your peers.

"But...I still question why you two, of all beings, oppose me now. After we formed a pact to seek vengeance against humanity for what they did to us. Why now? Would you two have still been on my side have you not met the humans you have met?"

Nate glanced down to Rosa and Hugh, who were unconscious just like everyone else. Indeed, Nate wondered, what would he had been like had he never met Rosa and Hugh? What would his life had been like if he had managed to escape the Aspertia Academy and Cheren, and never had to go on the journey with the two?

"...Well...most likely yeah," Nate admitted. "If I had never met these two idiots, then odds are that I would've still been your dog. I would've still been hunting down Reshiram and Zekrom. I don't know how, but I would've gotten them to you. And I would be by your side as you destroy Unova. But then that lime-haired idiot over there asked me something, and honestly, I would've been left asking myself that if I had destroyed Unova with you.

"...And then what? What would I have done after Unova was destroyed? Would I have been fine with killing innocents who're caught up in it all? And that's when I realized...I didn't know what I wanted to make of myself. I simply wanted a place. A place where I felt needed. Where I felt accepted."

"I would have certainly given you such a place," Kyurem scoffed.

"Maybe," Nate replied. "...But at the cost of countless innocent lives suffering or even dying? Then how would that make me any different from the humans I despise so much? When I felt the slightest bit of hesitation at that, that's when I realized that...I'm not as heartless as I think I am. I would've felt guilt knowing that innocent people and Pokémon were killed off with those who deserve it. That's when I knew that I wasn't really like you; that I could forgive those who wronged me.

"But for the longest time, I was afraid that if I turned my back now, I would've lost everything I worked for, and go back to be an outcast that no one wanted or accepted. That crippling sense of despair was something I was too afraid to go back to. And then..."

A fleeting image of a certain pink-haired girl popped up in his mind. A rather faint, but genuine smile crept up on his face.

"I was told that there were people who would accept me."

"So you abandoned our pact when you learned that there was someone who would accept you?"

"I abandoned it because I knew that what you're doing would not only take away my place of acceptance, but everyone else's," Nate said. "And I know I'm a hypocrite at times...but I don't want to keep piling up the contradictions..."

Kyurem stared at Nate, seemingly taking in his words, before glancing back to Luca. "And what is your reasoning? Is it merely because you follow Nate?"

"-To be honest, that's half of it,-" Luca said. "-I'm perfectly content with following Nate's lead. And then he got me thinking too. My parents died, but so did his father. And he suffered at the hands of humans longer and worse than I ever did. If he's willing to forgive and forget, then who am I to keep holding a grudge? Besides...I'm pretty sure my mother and father wouldn't want me to go down this path.-

"-No matter what, I will always stand by Nate. If this is the path he chose, then that's the path I will choose.-"

"So that's the verdict, Kyurem," Nate said, glaring at Kyurem determinedly. "I'm going to protect Unova. I'm going to protect this land, and the people important to me, who taught me everything I know now. Even if that means I have to defeat you."

Kyurem stared down at Nate's, his vibrant, yellow eyes staring into Nate's tired, but determined brown eyes. They did not look dead anymore. They were radiating with life.

"...Very well," Kyurem said. "I'll give you one final chance to stop me."

Nate narrowed his eyes as Kyurem went on. "I am heading to the land between reality and dreams. The place where we last met. That land shall be the stage for our final bout. If you do not show up within an hour, then all is lost for you. Prove to me that your ideals and truths can prevail over my madness. Show me the resolve you humans cling onto."

Without waiting for a reply, Kyurem spread his wings out, before lifting himself off the ground and flying out of the cave, leaving a strong gust that threatened to blow everyone off the ground.

Colress was about to head into the cave, when a gargantuan creature suddenly flew out of the cave.

"WOAH!?" Colress yelled, keeping himself from flying off the stairs.

The scientist got back up and glanced behind him, spotting the giant dragon that flew out of the cave.

"Is that...?" Colress asked as his Pokémon regained their composure from the sudden dragon. "...That can't be good."

Colress immediately rushed into the cave, praying to whatever god was out there that everyone was alright and not dead.

The ongoing battle between old and new Team Plasma came to an abrupt halt, as a giant dragon flying out of the cave at breakneck speed startled everyone.

"What the hell was that?!" Rood yelled, looking up to the skies and seeing the dragon fly off.

"OOOOOOH!" Zinzolion gasped in borderline ecstasy. "KYUREM! That must have been Kyurem!"

"That's Kyurem!?" Rood gasped.

"It must have absorbed Reshiram and Zekrom!" Zinzolin deduced. "It must have regained its true power! And it's now heading to destroy Unova!"

"No way...! So did...Lord N fail...?" one of the old Team Plasma grunts asked dejectedly.

"Wait, Lord Zinzolin!" one of the new Team Plasma grunts demanded. "What do you mean 'destroy Unova'? I thought we were going to take it over in the name of Team Plasma!"

"We are," Zinzolin replied. "But that requires the land to be ravaged and ruined first!"

"So Kyurem's going to destroy Unova!?" another new Team Plasma grunt gasped. "That's not what Lord Ghetsis told us!"

"That's what we've been trying to tell you!" one of the old Team Plasma grunts yelled heatedly. "Ghetsis was lying to you guys this whole time! And from how he said it, it looks like Zinzolin was in on it too!"

All eyes of the new Team Plasma were now on Zinzolin. They all regarded their superior with contempt and betrayal, but the man did not care, opting to laugh hysterically at the sight of Kyurem.

"I must witness the destruction Kyurem will bring upon this land!" Zinzolin yelled excitedly as he sent out his cryogonal, who wrapped its chains around him and lifted him up to the skies.

"Lord Zinzolin!?" one of the new Team Plasma grunts yelled. Zinzolin paid no mind to his subordinates, manically flying to where Kyurem was headed.

"Well, it looks like even Zinzolin abandoned you all for his own fetishes," Rood said to the new Team Plasma grunts. "Now do you see? Ghetsis, the Shadow Triad, Zinzolin...they were all using you as pawns for their own gain! None of you all mattered in the end to them!"

The new Team Plasma glanced at each other, unsure of what to do now, having been abandoned by their leader.

"If you still wish to see Unova in one piece, then I suggest that you all head back to the ship and stop Zinzolin," Rood said. "Or at the very least flee the country if it comes down to it."

"W-What will you all do?" one of the new Team Plasma grunts asked.

Rood looked up to the sky. There was no way any of them could stop Kyurem.

"We will do whatever we can to help," Rood said. "Whether it be warning the masses about the upcoming calamity or evacuating as many people as needed. We must do what we can."

"Then...you wanna come onto the ship?" one of the new Team Plasma grunts asked.

"That would be helpful, thank you," Rood said as he glanced over to his comrades.

"Lord Rood!"

Rood looked up to see Rook, rushing to the group. "Ah, Rook!"

Rook panted heavily when he reached the group. "I'm sorry...it took me so long to get here..."

"Nonsense," Rood reassured Rook. "You did well. Now come along."

"Huh?" Rook asked, glancing up to see that Team Plasma members of old and new were now one big group.

"We must do what we can to help the people of Unova," Rood declared.

"The place where we last met..." Nate muttered to himself as Colress rushed into the room.

"You guys!" Colress yelled out, running up to the group. "What happened!?"

"Well..." Nate muttered. "I got good news and bad news. Which one do you wanna hear first?"

"Well...I suppose the bad news," Colress muttered, bracing himself for the worst.

"Alright, bad news: Kyurem absorbed Reshiram and Zekrom," Nate said, confirming Colress' fears. "He beat us to a pulp and flew off to destroy Unova."

"...So what's the good news?" Colress asked.

"Oh Kyurem killed Ghetsis and those ninja bastards," Nate said, pointing his thumb behind him. "The ninjas were vaporized, but Ghetsis' remains should be around there...somewhere..."

Colress glanced over to where Nate was pointing to but could not find any bloody entrail that would indicate that Ghetsis had been murdered.

"Oh he was probably vaporized by that damn attack Kyurem did," Nate said as he took out five Revive crystals and used them on his team. "But good timing. I need you to take care of the others."

"...What are you planning?" Colress asked.

"I'm going after Kyurem," Nate told Colress.

"You're what!?" Colress yelled as Nate revived the rest of his team. "You're going after Kyurem by yourself!?"

"Someone's gotta go stop him," Nate said as he healed his team. "And at this point, it looks like I'm the only one conscious enough to do it."

"-B–But he beat us all up!-" Eve protested. "-You can't go by yourself!-"

"Kyurem said I only had an hour to stop him," Nate responded. "...There's no time. I have to do this."

Eve gave Nate a rather worried look; he was a friend that Eve got to know. A very important friend. She did not want to see Nate go fight that monster by himself. It was too dangerous!

Nate merely chuckled, before kneeling down and petting Eve on the head. "Thanks for worrying about me. But I'll be fine. We'll all come back. Promise."

"-...Promise...?-" Eve asked Nate.

"Yeah," Nate smirked as he glanced over to his team. "This is your one and only chance, by the way. If you wanna bail, then..."

"-Of course not!-" Bo rejected Nate's offer with his usual vigor. "-We're with you no matter what, Boss!-"

"-We've come this far,-" Vire said. "-Might as well see this to the end. I'd feel like a douche if I just left you when you need us the most.-"

"-My masters tried and ultimately failed to stop Kyurem,-" Deo responded coolly. "-Thus, it seems only fair that I pick up where they left off and stop Kyurem. I would feel more confident with you guys, though.-"

"-This is what N and Mama wanted to stop,-" Zoro said. "-To protect Unova from Ghetsis was their wishes. Their desires...I'm gonna grant that for them.-"

And finally, Brav and Luca stared at Nate; their human family.

"-You're daft if you think I'm going to leave you rapscallions go off to your deaths by yourself,-" Brav snorted. "-To protect their children is the role of the parent, is it not?-"

"-We're by your side no matter what,-" Luca declared. "-For better or for worse...until the very end, we've got your back, Nate.-"

"Figured you'd all stay, you suicidal bastards," Nate shook his head. "But I suppose you're all my suicidal bastards."

Smiling genuinely and gratefully, Nate recalled them all into their pokéballs, before facing Colress. "Colress, take these guys onto the ship. Yancy and her family should still be in Lacunosa Town. Go find them and get them onto the ship. If I can't stop Kyurem, then I want you to get them away from Unova."

"...Then that would mean no one would be able to save you," Colress frowned.

"I know the risks," Nate sighed.

"Are you telling me to leave you to die?" Colress asked. "I wouldn't be able to face Roy knowing that I let his son die."

"I'm pretty sure Dad would have done the same thing," Nate countered, catching a surprised reaction from Colress. He may not remember much about his father, but Nate does remember what kind of person he was. If he was still alive and in Nate's shoes right now, Nate was confident that Roy would have done the same thing.

Colress stared at Nate for what seemed to be an eternity, before the scientist relented with an exasperated sigh. "You've really grown. Very well. I'll make sure your friends are safe."

"Thanks," Nate smiled, before taking out his Xtransceiver.

"Do you even know where Kyurem is headed?" Colress asked.

"He said 'the place where we last met'. He's not talking about the ship, or else you would've noticed," Nate said as he flipped through the menu before finding a certain icon. "...Do you happen to know about Entralink?"

"Entralink?" Colress asked. He recalled hearing about it in research papers from his colleague in the past. A place between dreams and reality, if he recalled. "...Are you saying he's headed there?"

"Yeah," Nate nodded as he pushed a button.

-Would you like to access the Entralink?-

A mechanical voice asked Nate from his Xtransceiver. Nate pushed the 'Yes' button, confirming his desire to access the Entralink. Within moments, a portal of light surrounded Nate.

"I leave my friends with you, Colress," Nate told the scientist.

"Acknowledged," Colress nodded. "...You are the bravest boy I've ever met. No matter what, you did your father proud."

"Keh!" Nate snickered. "...Later."

The portal of light burst into a harsher light, teleporting Nate away to the Entralink. Within seconds, the boy had vanished completely right in front of Colress.

Nate found himself teleported to a lush grassland, as far as the eyes could see. Giant bridges arching from the north, south, east and west extended out to the skies. The breeze that raced across the grassland felt cool and refreshing on Nate's tired and sweaty skin. He glanced over to the middle of the grassland. A giant, spiraling tree stood tall in the middle of the land. Standing in front of said tree, was Kyurem, who was staring at said tree. Seeing as Kyurem did nothing but stare at the tree, Nate slowly approached Kyurem.

"Do you know what this tree is, Nate?" Kyurem asked, not turning around to address the boy.

Nate stared at Kyurem, before staring at the tree. "...The Entree, right?"

"The Entralink is a land that exists between reality and dreams," Kyurem said. "It hovers above Unova for eons now. The Entree is the anchor that keeps the Entralink within the heavens. It is the symbol of the dreams of the people and Pokémon of the land. The truths and ideals of Unova. Its size shows how fervent the dreams are."

Kyurem and Nate stared at the tree for a while, before Kyurem gripped his claw. Nate arched a brow as he watched Kyurem lift his arm up.

"Wait, what're you–!?" Nate yelled, before Kyurem swung his arm out, swiping his claw at the Entree, slashing it down in half. The tree collapsed to the ground with a loud thud. A violent quake invaded the clearing, as Nate saw one of the nearby bridges beginning to collapse and reduce to dust. The shaking never stopped, as Nate was thrown off balance, before he regained his footing. "What did you do!?"

"Have you ever wondered how large the Entralink is?" Kyurem asked, unfazed by the tremors. "It and the tree grow in size the more fervent the dreams of the people and Pokémon are. Right now, the size of this land is massive; it's almost the size of mainland Unova itself!"

As Nate got back on his feet, he glanced to the side. To his shock, he saw parts of the land crumbling off, and floating up to the sky.

"The Entree is the anchor that keeps the Entralink within the heavens..." Nate muttered. It was there when it dawned to Nate just exactly what Kyurem did. "You're dropping the Entralink onto Unova!?"

"When the Entree is severed from the land, then the Entralink is forced to reenter reality, descending to the earth," Kyurem explained, before booming. "What is more fitting for Unova than to let it be crushed by the very weight of their truths and ideals!? The moment the Entralink collides with Unova, the land shall be ripped apart by their very ambitions! Doomed to an irreparable state as the fools are crushed by their very dreams!"

"Like hell!" Nate growled as he sent his team out. "This ends here, Kyurem!"

"Very well!" Kyurem agreed. "It is ironic that you, a child whose future was stolen from Unova, now stand before me representing the fate of its future, but it is also the most fitting!"

Kyurem let out a mighty roar, the same one that flooded their ears back at the Giant Chasm, before Kyurem wiped them all out with one decisive attack.

"Truth! Ideals! They mean nothing here! All that matter is what happens here and now! This is the final stage! Fate shall decide who reigns supreme!" Kyurem declared. "Now come at me, Nate! Child of humanity! Try and overcome the myth that created Unova! The very same myth that seeks to destroy Unova!"

Yancy blinked as she witnessed the several genesects falling to the ground, having been abruptly deactivated. While Curtis, her father and everyone else was confused, Yancy let out a sigh of relief. The genesects deactivating meant that Colress was able to shut them down from the frigate. Which also meant that the genesects running rampant around the world must also be shutting down.

"Alright..." Yancy nodded.

"Yancy? Do you happen to know what's going on?" Curtis asked.

"The genesects are Team Plasma's doing," Yancy replied, confirming Curtis' suspicions. "But it's alright! The others were able to stop it!"

"That's good," Curtis let out a sigh of relief. "So they are fighting Team Plasma."

"Yep!" Yancy replied enthusiastically. "I bet they're taking care of the leader right now!"

"Well, we should go help them," Curtis suggested. "They may not need it, per say, but it wouldn't hurt."

"Yeah, you're right," Yancy agreed.

They both turned to their father, who had finally calmed down after seeing that the purple monstrosities were being shut down.

"Dad, are you gonna be alright by yourself?" Curtis asked.

"Yes...I'll be fine," Mr. Lapis said, catching his breath. "Don't worry about me. You two go on ahead. Your friends would appreciate your help. I'm sure of it."

"Dad..." Yancy said, somewhat touched about her father's concern for what they want.

"Unfortunately, you're coming with us as well."

A blurred voice pierced through the skies, assaulting everyone's ears. Everyone covered their ears, before looking up. To Yancy's shock, she saw the Plasma Frigate hovering over the town of Lacunosa.

"What is that!?" Curtis shrieked, pointing at the ship.

"The Plasma Frigate...!?" Yancy paled.

"You mean Team Plasma owns that ship?!"

"Miss Yancy, I presume?" the voice asked.

"Huh?" Yancy asked, before recognizing the voice. "Colress?"

"The situation became much dire than anyone had ever wanted," Colress said. "I suggest you come with us. Including your kin."

Yancy glanced to Curtis and Mr. Lapis, who were just as confused as she was. A ladder shot down from the deck, making its way below until it reached in front of Yancy. The girl, reluctantly, decided to grab the ladder and climb up, with Curtis and her father following suit. The ladder pulled them up onto the deck as the ship flew away from Lacunosa, where the Lapis family was greeted to a deck infested with Team Plasma grunts, wearing either the usual black uniform or the old white uniform.

"Team Plasma?!" Curtis yelped, reaching for his pokéball.

"Relax, kid," a new Team Plasma grunt said to him. "We're not gonna try anything."

"What...?" Yancy asked cautiously.

"The situation has escalated beyond our imaginations," a new voice said, as the grunts made way for Rood to walk up to them. "There is no room or time for pointless squabble."

"Ah, you're the person from Driftveil! The one with the former Team Plasma!" Yancy gasped, recognizing Rood from said city months ago.

"I feel honored that you remember someone like me," Rood chuckled, before his face turned grim. "I do wish circumstances were better."

"W-What do you mean by that?" Yancy asked. That did not sound good at all.

"Someone, please guide her to the bow," Rood said. "Colress should be able to explain the situation far better than I can."

"I'll do it, Lord Rood," Rook said, volunteering.

"Ah, you're the former Plasma member from before!" Yancy said. "I'm glad that you're alright!"

"Likewise," Rook nodded. "Now c'mon. You should hear this too."

"Wait!" Curtis interrupted. "Let me come too!"

"I don't see why not," Rood shrugged. "It won't change the situation as it is."

Nodding in response, Rood beckoned Yancy and Curtis to follow him. While being greeted to familiar faces was reassuring, that was not enough to overwrite the feeling of dread that was slowly building up within her.

Rook led Yancy to the warp panel that led to the bow of the ship, where Colress was currently steering the frigate and typing rapidly into his console. To her shock, lying in a pile was her friends, all unconscious. In another pile were the Swords of Justice, and the other two Forces of Nature, who were currently receiving treatment from Beheeyem. Several healing machines were set up on the sides of the staircases, presumably healing the parties of her friends. Eve was the sole Pokémon out of her pokéball, glancing at the pile of unconscious trainers worryingly.

"You guys!?" Yancy gasped.

The siblings rushed over to them, noting how they were badly bruised. Whatever happened, it was not pretty, that much they could discern. Whether or not it was from their cries, the group slowly groaned, slowly beginning to wake up.

"Ugh...huh?" Rosa moaned as she got up, pushing Hugh off of her.

"-Rosa!-" Eve exclaimed in relief as she jumped into her embrace.

"Eve!" Rosa exclaimed. "Thank goodness, you're alright..."

"Are we...in the Frigate...?" Hilda asked.

"What happened!?" Yancy asked Colress as everyone regained their consciousness.

"Oh good, you all are waking up. This saves me the trouble of explaining this more times than I need to," Colress replied. "Kyurem succeeded in absorbing Reshiram and Zekrom, killed off Ghetsis and the Shadow Triad, and is now trying to destroy Unova."

"What?!" everyone gasped.

Colress eyed the map that was in the corner of his calculations, where it was showing off a large red mass descending down upon another landmass. Grimacing, he typed into his computer, before pulling up what appeared to be an Xtransceiver group call comprised of four people. Yancy recognized Cheren, Bianca and Professor Juniper, but the fourth person, a rather pretty-looking woman with long dark blue hair and glasses, was new to her.

"Sorry to intrude in the middle of your conversation," Colress said to the four. "But it would seem as all hell is breaking loose as we speak."

"Colress!?" the purple-haired woman gasped.

"It's been a while, Fennel," Colress replied back. "Sorry, but we're going to have to catch up later."

"Wait, you two know each other?" Bianca asked, genuinely surprised and curious.

"Not now!" Cheren yelled. "The fact that you hacked into our transceiver call and what you just said means that everything's going to shit over there, right?"

"You wouldn't know the half of it," Colress replied before touching the map and dragging it over to the screen, where everyone could see it. "For starters, Kyurem absorbed Reshiram and Zekrom."

"WHAT!?" everyone on the comm link gasped.

"Oh, it gets better," Colress retorted sarcastically. "Kyurem killed Ghetsis and the Shadow Triad, defeated everyone else, and headed off to the Entralink."

"The Entralink?" Fennel asked, noting the map Colress displayed. "Wait...why is it descending down upon Unova!?"

"Fennel, you know more about the Entralink than I do," Colress said. "Can you tell me what would need to happen for it to have it forcibly rematerialize into reality?"

"Uh...for the Entralink to fall from the sky like this...someone must have destroyed the Entree," Fennel explained shakily, still shocked by the fact that the Entralink was falling from the sky.

"That must be Kyurem's doing," Colress grumbled.

"The Entralink right now is almost as big as mainland Unova..." Fennel said, realization dawning in her face. "If the Entralink and Unova were to crash...!"

"Then Unova would be obliterated..." Professor Juniper said in horror. "Not only would the mainland be ravaged beyond repair, but who knows what kind of seismic effects would happen as a result! Even the regions off of the mainland would get caught up in it!"

"How much time do we have?" Hugh asked.

Colress eyed the map for a moment. "If my calculations are right...then three hours at most."

"Th-three hours...?" Rosa gaped at the hopelessness of the situation. "How are we supposed to stop it in three hours!?"

"Wait..." Yancy said carefully, paling at every passing second upon the realization. "...Where's Nate?"

Everyone sans Colress looked at Yancy for a moment, before darting around the room. There was no sign of Nate anywhere.

"Colress...?" Hilbert asked. "...Where's Nate...!?"

Colress did not turn to face him. He simply nudged his head to the map. That was enough for everyone in the room to understand what Colress was implying.

"HE'S ON THE ENTRALINK!?" Hilda cried. "ARE YOU TELLING US HE WENT TO FIGHT KYUREM ALONE!?"

Hilbert immediately took out his Xtransceiver without waiting for a response, frantically going through the menu to find the C-Gear. To his shock, every option he tried only led to an error message.

"What!?" Hilbert yelled angrily.

"Given the current circumstances," Colress said. "I would assume you can't enter the Entralink using the C-Gear, given that it's now a falling continent."

Yancy then tried to call Nate through the Xtransceiver, but all she got was static. It must be due to Nate being on the falling Entralink that was messing with his Xtransceiver. She refused to entertain the other possibilities.

Before anyone could react, Cheren and Bianca's screens suddenly became darker, a dim, crimson hue invading their images.

"What the...?" Cheren muttered, before looking up and gasping. "What the hell!?"

"That's...that's the Entralink, isn't it?" Bianca paled, before bringing her Xtransceiver up to show them what she was seeing. It looked like one giant meteor, slowly descending down towards Unova.

"It's already that close...?" Curtis muttered in anxiety.

"We don't have much time," N said, making himself known, before facing Colress. "Is there nothing we can do?

"That boy is up there. Fighting Kyurem, who has absorbed both Reshiram and Zekrom and claimed their powers, alone. Is there nothing we can do to help him? Nothing at all, Colress?"

Colress scowled, considering all the possible options that could maybe save the day. They could simply focus their efforts on destroying the Entralink while Nate was distracting Kyurem. However, Kyurem would most likely notice and go after them, knowing full well that it was impossible for Nate to stop the Entralink from falling by himself. And even if Kyurem failed to notice, then destroying the Entralink would mean destroying it while Nate was still on it. If the boy failed to notice it as well, then the risk of outright killing him in the process was rather high. And even then, destroying the Entralink still left Kyurem as the main problem. If the Entralink failed, then Kyurem could simply go and destroy Unova itself.

Nate could try simply catching Kyurem; no matter what, Kyurem was still a Pokémon, after all. Colress was surprised no one else thought of it or suggested it. However, that was doomed to fail. When creating the Plasma Ball, Colress had researched every aspect of the pokéball, and found one particular flaw within its internal systems. The flaw that, in any other scenario would be insignificant, made this plan impossible. Due to how Kyurem's form change worked, the pokéball would recognize both Kyurem and whichever of the two dragons it had absorbed. The pokéball was incapable of storing more than one Pokémon at a time. The device would recognize Kyurem as two Pokémon (or in this case, three), and therefore make it incapable to catch Kyurem. Even if not, there was still the issue of actually catching Kyurem, who was more than capable of simply swatting any attempts away. Nate would have to force one onto Kyurem within the short amount of time he had, which was improbable at best.

They could always try and go to the Entralink, but was a dangerous task. Getting hit by debris, getting caught in the crossfire, having to fight Kyurem again (when they all tried and failed to defeat him the first time), and not being able to escape in time. There were too many variables that made that simple idea too risky to fully suggest. There was no guarantee that they could even get onto the landmass anyways; assuming the Entralink's mystical properties, it would not be strange if it kept intruders in or out; nor was there any guarantee of escaping safely and in time.

Really, there was only one plausible option they had left.

"Well!?" Rosa demanded. "Are we just gonna sit here and do nothing?! Let Nate die!?"

"I'd figured you would have more faith in the boy," Colress suddenly said, catching Rosa off guard.

"Wha–What do you mean?" Rosa asked.

"You're saying...that we trust in Nate to defeat Kyurem?" Hilbert asked.

"If Nate can defeat Kyurem and evacuate, then the matter left is simply destroying Entralink before it collides with Unova," Colress replied, happy that someone caught on. "A task, while daunting, is much more realistic and easier than defeating Kyurem."

"So it all depends on whether or not Nate can beat Kyurem and escape in time..." Hilda muttered.

"Time is truly of the essence," Colress said, failing to come up with any other idea. "All we can do now is pray that Nate can stop Kyurem. If he can, then we have a chance at stopping the destruction of Unova."

"So, it all comes down to Nate, huh..." Hugh mumbled. "...Damn it! Why can't we do anything!? He needs us and we're stuck here!"

"...Let's believe in him," Yancy said, getting everyone's attention. "Nate can do this. We have to believe in him. There's nothing else we can do but believe that Nate can defeat Kyurem."

Everyone stared at Yancy in genuine shock, not expecting that kind of answer from her.

"I'm going to go prepare the cannon," Colress said as he set the ship to autopilot and walked away from the steering wheel. "Without Kyurem, we need to install an alternative power source. It might not be as strong as with Kyurem's power, but it's the best we have to destroy the Entralink. Until then, it's all up to Nate."

Without waiting for a reply, Colress left the bow of the shup. Everyone else glanced to the red mass that was slowly heading down to Unova on the map. With the knowledge that Nate was there by himself against Kyurem; as Unova's last hope; they could not help but feel anxious. They all cursed the fact that none of them could go and help Nate when he would need it the most.

All they could do now is pray that Nate could somehow defeat Kyurem (when they all failed to do so as one united force), somehow destroy the Entralink before it destroyed Unova in turn, and somehow make it out safely.

They all prayed for a miracle in the face of certain demise.

Because that was all they can do.

- The user gathers an ominous energy, before unleashing it onto the field, engulfing everything into a giant void.

- The move will inflict Attack or Special Attack; whichever is higher.

- The move will target all Pokemon on the field.

- The following effects will occur if the move successfully lands and does damage to any target on the field:

The attack will remove all stat changes of all affected targets.

All lingering field effects (weather, hazards, screens, Safeguard, Mist, Rooms) will be removed.

Light Screen/Reflect will still affect the damage dealt by Terminal Void, but both screens will be removed afterwards, even if only one of them actually altered the damage done.

Substitute will be removed as well, regardless of whether or not the move would have actually broken the Substitute or not.

If the move is protected using Protect or Detect, the user will not take any damage and the above effects (if applicable) will not occur to the user. However, the effects of Protect/Detect will be removed for the rest of the turn.

- None of the effects above will occur to the target if the move fails to successfully land.

And there's Absolute Kyurem! This is essentially the data for Absolute Kyurem if he was in the games.

Everything's gone to shit, he's trying to destroy Unova with the Entralink in the biggest form of irony (to him at least), and now Nate is left to stop him! Hopefully everything was alright here.
