Chapter Three
The descent from thirty-thousand feet to the ground was perfect. Well, it would've been if not for an unexpected gust of wind that separated me from Agent Maddow's team.
After stripping off the parachute, I pulled up the blue force tracker on my Division Nineteen issued smartwatch and discovered I was off by a freaking mile.
"Saber Five, this is Saber One. Come in," Maddow said to me over the radio. In any other circumstance, my callsign would be Cat Zero-One. But since I'm on Maddow's team for this mission, I was going to be referred to as Saber Five.
"I'm here, Saber One. Team status?"
'We're all here. Reddington's team is going to approach the farm from a different direction. We've confirmed that you're one mile east of our position. Sit tight and we'll come to you."
"Roger, Saber Five out."
So here I was in the middle of ass nowhere Tennessee. Clear blue skies and flatland for miles around. But my observation of the sights was suddenly interrupted.
"You there, help me. Help me."
I spin to the left with my rifle ready and saw a blond woman in a yellow sundress running towards me. She instantly stopped when she saw my gun but kept pleading. A quick scan from my scope confirmed that she was not Brittany Gomez.
"Calm down lady and tell me what's the problem."
"You have to get me out of here. The monsters are coming. I've escaped from their farm three times before and every time they would find me and bring me back. This is my fourth attempt, they will kill me for sure if they catch me again."
"Saber Five to Ice Queen, are you hearing all of this?"
"Affirmative and…look sharp, you got to unidentified contacts coming towards you. The same path the lady took."
I instantly run past the lady and told her to stay behind me and cover her ears. I scan the distance through my scope and instantly spotted them. Two men by looks of it. One muscular, one average looking and both wearing animal masks. Mr. Muscles was wearing a bull mask and Mr. Average wore a sheep mask.
"Hey freaks, I am Agent Selina Kyle of the OGA. You have ten seconds to turn around or I'll shoot."
"Don't waste your breath. They never respond to talk," the lady said.
"Very well then," I replied. I lined up Mr. Muscles first then gave him the classic double tap, two to the chest, one to the head and down he went. But his partner continued on like he didn't give a shit. So I simply repeated the process.
Some monsters they turned out to be. Before I could tell General Hayes that I just eliminated two targets, I heard Maddow's voice.
"Friendlies six o'clock," she said as the team converged on me and the lady. I heard Gates ask for her name.
"Michelle," she replied.
"How many more of those freaks are there?" I asked.
"Lots, but you people should be more than a match for them. When you reach the farm, kill them all and burn the town too."
"Why the town?"
"Because they are all involved. Be it on the farm or spying for it."
"Involved in what?" Michelle contorted her face into an ominous look.
"You'll see when you get there."
"And how do you know, they have spies?" Gates inquired.
"How do you think I ended up getting recaptured three times," Michelle shouted.
"Calm down lady, our boss has a Blackhawk inbound to pick you up and take you far away from this area. I don't know where exactly, but rest assured that you won't have to worry about the monsters ever again." Maddow said.
"Please don't make me wait by myself."
"We won't," Maddow replied.
It took an hour for the Blackhawk to arrive. It landed quickly and Michelle was placed on board and whisked away. We asked her if she by any chance saw the woman we were looking for while we waited. Sadly she did not.
With Michelle on a flight to safety. It was time to pay Old McDonald's farm a visit, rescue Brittany and waste anyone who got in our way.
I had no doubt we would succeed. Sure there was twelve of us on the field, but behind us laid an army.
