Vandread GA: The Second Stage

Chapter 7: Roar of the Phoenix (Part 2)
April 20th 3818 AD; 3:30 pm (1530 hours)
*(Continuing where Part 1 left off)*
On the other hand far away, Bella was patrolling around the TPSDNS Solaris with Steve, Lilo, and Nami when all of a sudden, her OS started to go crazy and before she could think, the Aqua Calypso powered up and sped off in a random direction. This forced the ship and its escorts to go after it wondering all one thing: what the hell was going on?
Back with the Nirvana forces, Meia and Arthur gave one command together to both forces under their respective commands in a very loud, and clear voice so everyone knew that the operation was about to go down.
"All right! Let's roll! Commencing Operation Deep Core now!"
All forces proceeded to engage the enemy while Pyoro shouted baby Miranda's false name which earned him a whack by Julian along with a glare. The Harvester forces started to fight the Nirvana forces thinking that they were going down. The copy Nirvana once again transformed into a robot form and charged.
Barnette and Julian zipped through enemy fire before firing the "Panic" devices Parfet designed and improved on from the Pan Gundam as the unit was designed for anti-Harvester combat in the first place along with the Eos Gundam and its stolen siblings the Helios and Selena Gundams.
The device worked like a charm as all of the Nirvana forces zipped past a good amount of enemy forces without any opposition as seconds later, Barnette contacted Parfet about the good news.
"Parfet, it works! We can use it now!"
On the other hand, Meia contacted Hibiki to form Vandread Meia, "Hibiki, we're forming up."
"Roger that!" Hibiki shouted.
Vandread Meia was soon formed seconds later and charged forward instantly with the Pan Gundam following closely behind. Then the Harvester forces got back up quickly much to the surprise of everyone.
"Damn, these bastards get up fast…" Hibiki said.
"Hey, watch this then." Julian said from her Gundam.
The female Nirvana Gundam pilot activated a few buttons, which a screen popped up; Julian quickly selected her targets, and fired the "Gremlin" program at the Harvester machines. The result was the Harvester machines suddenly stopping and to everyone's surprise, they began attacking each other.
"Now that rocks the house…" Hibiki said.
Meia then contacted Barnette and Dita to give them an order, "Dita, Barnette follow us closely."
After both females replied roger, Vandread Meia continued to plow through the Harvester machines still active while Brian and Arthur followed closely behind. A few more Harvester machines got destroyed which was due to Bart providing fire support.
"Is that you Bart?" Hibiki asked.
"Don't worry guys! Leave the rest up to me!" Bart shouted.
Misty then came on with a revelation while pointing towards the enemy, "Um…the remaining enemy forces are that way."
"I can barely see what's beyond that." Ezra said while near Misty.
Bart looked at where Misty was pointing and gulped before he replied, "Oh shit right I, can do this!"
The Harvester copy of the Nirvana fired an explosive energy ball, but it missed its targets as Vandread Meia, Archangel Fujin Gundam, Pan Gundam, Eos Gundam, and the Saber Vulcan Gundam dodged the rapid fire when all of them got close to it.
"Whoa, incoming!" Brian shouted while dodging a Seed Ship.
Eventually, the Infiltration team bypassed all of the Harvester forces that were trying to stop them and upon seeing the hole, Meia spoke one thing quickly as the group got closer
"There's the hole in the ship!"
"Alright then, let's go!" Hibiki shouted.
As they flew closer to the breach in the ship, Barnette spoke, "Dita, Julian follow them and the two other Gundams."
"Roger that!" Dita and Julian shouted together.
With that said, all pilots entered the maw of the massive Harvester ship. Inside the ship, Brian resisted the urge to throw up because to him, it looked like something out of a horror movie due to its design.
"Whoever designed the interior should so get their ass kicked…" Brian said to himself.
Amarone on the other hand back on the Nirvana reported the progress of the mission, "The insertion team has successfully entered the enemy ship."
Inside the massive Harvester ship, the team was barely dodging the shots by the internal security system no doubt designed in case someone was able to successfully enter a Harvester Battleship.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! It hurts-pyoro!" Pyoro shouted from Julian's Gundam.
Vandread Meia was briefly hit, but it continued onwards while Barnette fired a pair of missiles to help the team get in further past the internal security devices. Brian and Arthur on the other hand were dodging every shot thrown at them along with Dita. On the Nirvana, Jura was watching the fight go on and decided to go and help out.
Duero stopped her and spoke, "You know I can't let you go until you've fully healed Jura."
Jura looked at Duero and spoke, "I know that, but I'm almost ready to go again and besides, I love Arthur and if he dies, I rather die along with him. So please give me the means to allow me at least to help them out a bit."
Jura then left after receiving pain-killers and this time put on her pilot suit before heading out to try to help the infiltration team while at the same time, Bella arrived unexpectedly and her Gundam dove towards where the infiltration team was almost like magic.
On the bridge of the TPSDNS Solaris; Ashley couldn't help, but be frustrated and spoke to herself in a low voice while face palming herself with her left hand confusing her crew mates greatly.
"If we run into the Nirvana, we seriously need a talk with Magno."
On the other hand the infiltration team was getting closer to the heart of the Harvester ship and Meia spoke an order to keep everyone focused as they kept flying towards their destination.
"Everyone, keep going straight. We're almost there."
"Yeah, nothing we can do except head forward onwards!" Hibiki shouted seconds later.
Eventually Barnette got hit which everyone got concerned and Meia spoke, "Barnette! Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine and don't worry about me. I'll catch up with all of you in a second so, go on ahead." Barnette said.
Brian and Arthur on the other hand didn't heed her words and flanked both her left and right sides of her Gundam/Dread to help protect her and keep her up with the rest of the team. On the Nirvana, the bridge crew continued to report the progress.
"The infiltration team is about to reach the very central heart of the enemy Harvester ship." Amarone said.
Buzam said nothing as the team got closer to the core of the Harvester ship while Bella on the other hand arrived on the scene where the Nirvana was along with the fleet following behind her when she spotted Jura's Dread/Gundam in mobile armor mode flying towards a gaping hole in the Harvester Battleship.
Without hesitating, she flew after her wondering what was going on while Ashley got in contact with Magno, which surprised the elderly pirate leader quite a bit. The shock wore off as both the 1st fleet of Terrain Prime and the Nirvana forces banded together against the Harvester forces.
Inside the core of the Harvester ship, everyone was in brief shock at the size of the core of the Harvester warship as they had never seen anything like it before, but soon shook it off as they resumed their mission.
"All right then…Barnette, Arthur, Brian, and I will take care of the enemy while Hibiki, Dita, and Julian will cover Pyoro." Meia said.
"That's right everyone, work hard-pyoro…" Pyoro said seconds later.
Hibiki turned and looked Dita to tell her the next step of the plan, "Did you hear that UFO Girl? You're next up!"
"Okay Mr. Alien!" Dita shouted.
Vandread Meia split apart and Vandread Dita was formed while the Pan Gundam got near them and released Pyoro. Pyoro spoke as he swam towards the core with the "Panic" Virus program.
"Yeah! Swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim-pyoro."
The remaining rest of the infiltration team covered the Pan Gundam and Pyoro as both went to work. At the same time, both Bella and Jura were playing the same game of dodge-the-lasers while the infiltration team kept guarding Julian and Pyoro.
"Pyoro, Julian how are things going?" Barnette asked.
"Still working on it and you can count on us-pyoro!" Pyoro shouted.
After a little work with Julian's help, the human and machine duo found the main circuit board or at least a small part of it which Pyoro spoke in excitement as Julian smiled at the good fortune.
"Ah-ha! Found you-pyoro!"
On the other hand, the rest of the team were trying their very best to buy Pyoro and Julian time while not getting killed which Hibiki asked Pyoro something quickly as he spoke up.
"Are you two done yet?"
"NOT YET!" Julian and Pyoro both shouted together.
"Hibiki! Dita! Below you two!" Barnette shouted seconds later.
A Harvester copy of Vandread Meia was trying to flank the Vandread, but thankfully the two pilots stopped it before it could do any damage to the team by grabbing it after dodging it.
The Vandread tossed it away with Hibiki shouting, "I said you guys are annoying!"
A second later, the Vandread destroyed it, but then an uninvited guest decided to show up and it was none other than the Harvester copy of the Nirvana that was very keen on having a second round with them.
"I got this." Meia said while going after the Nirvana copy.
Just then, the Harvester machine fired scattershot laser fire forcing everyone to scatter to avoid getting hit. The machine then stood on the webbing around the core to try to get the pesky humans.
Barnette then spoke to Julian and Barnette about a progress update, "Pyoro! Julian! Any good news yet!?"
"Almost there…pyoro." Pyoro said in a strained voice.
On the other hand, Jura and Bella got right at the entrance to the core of the Harvester ship when a swarm of Harvester copies of the Knight, Samurai, Spartan, and Amazon Vanswords blocked their way.
The copies were soon taken care of and upon entering, they saw the copy of the Nirvana about to squash Barnette and smack away Arthur which both took action. For Barnette and Arthur on the other hand, the grip of Hades and Thantos was about to get them when they got an unexpected pair of saviors.
"Jura! Bella? What are you two doing here!?" Arthur and Barnette asked together.
The face of Bella appeared on a screen in the cockpits of all of the pilots as she spoke, "Well for me one minute the OS on my Gundam acts all crazy, next minute I'm here as for Jura well, she just wants to fight alongside you guys particularly Arthur for a reason."
"Yeah, yeah, stop messing around you folks and take care of them already…" Jura said.
Duero then came on and spoke to Jura in a concern matter, "Don't do anything crazy or foolish because the anesthetic I gave you won't last long. Not to mention Arthur will be a bit mad for you doing this stunt."
"Relax, that's why I'm hurrying up." Jura said.
Arthur then came on next despite the chaos going on and spoke, "Squadron Leader Eden, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING! You're still not fully healed yet so, you should withdraw now before you aggravate your injuries further."
"Hey now Arthur is that-"
Jura didn't finish when Bella interrupted by speaking to the couple as they had more pressing concerns than what was going on at the moment with a stern look on her face.
"Hey, hey, hey now save it for the honeymoon comrades we still have a battle to win okay."
This made both pilots blush heavily while Hibiki spoke, "Trying to take the glory all for both of yourselves? Bella and Blondie?"
Meia spoke to get everyone's focus back on the task at hand, "All right everyone focus; Jura, Bella, Brian, Barnette, Arthur, and I will focus the enemy's attention on us while Dita and Hibiki will aim for the enemy mech's legs."
"Not a bad idea then." Hibiki said.
Vandread Dita aimed its cannons at the support beam the Harvester copy of the Nirvana was on and fired causing it to fall backwards taking it out of the fight temporary. Hibiki then turned and spoke to Julian and Pyoro to see how they were doing.
"Hey Pyoro, Julian, if you two take any longer, we're going to beat the enemy before either one of you two can." Hibiki said.
Pyoro nearby just grumbled one thing as he and Julian worked, "What a pompous, arrogant guy-pyoro…just you wait and see-pyoro."
"Yeah I know he'll get his ass kicked for that and besides, the virus should be activating…..now!" Julian shouted.
The same virus that had crippled the Nirvana months ago was now being used against the Harvesters. Dita smiled and spoke of the perfect irony being used against the Harvesters who took advantage of them when the same thing happened to them not too long ago.
"It worked! They're hurt and down now! We've succeeded!"
Outside, the Harvester forces suddenly shut down allowing the Nirvana and Terrain Prime forces to take advantage of the open opportunity to attack to gain the upper hand on the Earth war machines.
On the bridge of the Nirvana, Belvedere confirmed the virus activation to Magno and Buzam along with the 1st fleet of Terrain Prime as she spoke the good news to everyone within listening range.
"Enemy flagship and all remaining Harvester forces are now silent."
Ezra smiled and spoke to her daughter, "Pyoro-chan and Julian did it!"
"All that is left now is to get those kids that went inside out now," said Buzam.
Back inside the core of the Harvester Battleship, everyone breathed a sigh of relief and Hibiki spoke to everyone present at what looked like a victory and that they could all head on out of the area.
"All right, let's get out of here."
"Roger that, I'll help retrieve Pyoro now." Barnette said.
Pyoro nearby flailed his arms and legs around while floating in zero gravity spoke with a stern and rather unhappy voice as he was impatient of being picked up by his allies.
"Hey now! Come and retrieve me quickly-pyoro! I'll haunt you all for the rest of your lives if you leave me here behind-pyoro!"
"Heh, geez…" Hibiki said.
Before anyone could move to retrieve Pyoro and leave, all of a sudden out of the blue, the Harvester copy of the Nirvana came back to life for some reason. This freaked out the group and before anyone could react, the copy Nirvana fired a scatter-shot beam at the group. Barnette and Julian were the only ones not hit by the blast.
When the two Mejere females regained their bearings, they were treated to a scene of utter devastation as their comrade's machines lay seriously damaged by the attack.
"Barnette, we need you and Julian to get out of here." Meia said with a groan.
"Yeah and besides, Pyoro's too loud, he gets in our way sometimes." Jura said.
Barnette shook her head and spoke, "No! I can't just leave all of you here along with Julian!"
"Barnette, Julian listen to us. You both need to get out of here because someone or some group needs to tell others how to beat theses monsters. We knew the risks of this mission and knew if we didn't come back alive, someone would tell the story of us so we'd be remembered for generations to come. Tell Victoria, I'm sorry I let her down again." Arthur said.
"Barnette, it's okay. Dita won't lose…I will not let everyone look sad anymore not as long as I have friends with me." Dita said seconds later.
"Dita…Arthur…" Barnette said somberly.
Just then, the Harvester copy of the Nirvana prepared to finish off the three Gundams, there Dreads, and the Vanguard off with one final shot just as another Gundam team was arriving ironically through the same hole as the Harvester machine made as it prepared to fire seconds later.
Hibiki shouted one seemingly last thing, "Barnette! Julian! Get out of here!"
"NO! I can't!" Barnette shouted.
Time seemed to slow down as the Harvester copy of the Nirvana then fired a deadly red energy shot that moved towards the crippled machines and the Elemental Crusaders arrived trying to save them, but they were too late as the shot hit its mark seemingly destroying the seven machines.
On the bridge of the Nirvana everyone was in disbelief as Amarone spoke, "The infiltration team…I'm detecting no response."
"Same here, I'm not reading any other signals other than the ones from Barnette, Julian, and those other Gundams including the Valkyrie." Celtic said while wearing a nun outfit seconds later.
Inside the core of the Harvester Battleship, Barnette was in disbelief as did Julian and the Elemental Crusaders. Seven of their comrades were dead or so they thought and just before anyone could do anything along with Barnette and Victoria were starting to cry, something happened.
A ball of energy appeared from the fireball in front of them and next thing anyone knew was that a large, humanoid mech appeared in the energy field like a phoenix rising.
Victoria spoke only one thing, "Whoa."
"Whoa Nelly." Omar said in shock.
The light died down and then, Pyoro spoke just one thing, "What! I'm in the center!"
The fire died down showing the new mech; it had six wings like a Seraphim angel, was decked out in a fusion of Spartan, Samurai, Roman Centurion, Rajput, and Knight-like armor along with a few other designs that showed the mech was like Divine Seraphim from Heaven itself. Pyoro on the other hand, discovered that he was in the center chest plate much to his shock.
The unknown mech sported a sliver-white color for the primary color, had a metallic black and metallic aquamarine for secondary colors along with a light purple color as well. No one could see the weaponry on it, but it looked powerful.
Everyone nearby in the core of the Harvester ship and far away were stunned and Buzam on the Nirvana's bridge broke the silence as she then spoke up in a bit of shock at seeing the new mecha.
"Can it be that the three Dreads, the Vanguard, and the three Gundams along with Pyoro have combined into one mech?"
"Magnificent." Magno said.
Back inside the core of the massive Harvester ship, the powerful mech stood where it was while inside the cockpit, everyone regained their bearings and where they were; Hibiki and Dita were sitting in the center much like how they did in Vandread Dita, Meia sat behind them facing backwards, Brian and Bella were near the three but with Brian facing towards their left while Bella was facing towards their right, Jura on the other hand sat below Hibiki and Dita before a counsel of controls, and Arthur sat right next to her to her left.
"Man, now this is power and I can feel it coming from this mech." Hibiki said.
Dita got excited and spoke, "Oh wow! Oh wow! Oh wow! Oh wow yes!"
"Reminds me a bit of a Power Rangers megazord cockpit." Brian said.
"This is truly beyond our comprehension or understanding." Meia said seconds later.
Jura looked at the controls in front of her and spoke, "What is this? I have to control all of this?"
"Um, Jura we have bigger things to worry about like that massive monster in front of us!" Arthur shouted.
True to what Arthur said, the monstrous Harvester machine was getting ready to attack again which prompted Hibiki to speak at Jura and Arthur while everyone sat inside the Super GunVandread's cockpit.
"Hey you two, don't just sit there and do nothing! Do something!"
"Hey, I'm still hurt you idiot!" Jura shouted.
A hand on her left shoulder from Arthur reassured her and Arthur spoke, "Then let's all work together then and see what this mecha can do."
Jura nodded and both she and Arthur together pressed a series of buttons just as the Harvester copy of the Nirvana fired on them which the Super GunVandread formed a protective shield around it and its allies.
"Whoa, that's incredible." Barnette said.
Everyone agreed as inside the Super GunVandread, Hibiki then spoke, "Oh yeah, we can do it. Now then, let's show that Harvester scum the taste of our true power and strength!"
In a move like something out of Voltron, the Super GunVandread summoned a powerful sword with its hands, which was a curved, yet deadly blue-green katana-like blade that radiated power.
It swung its blade a bit before it charged forward in a speed that made any Vansword High Maneuver-type look slow and then sliced the Harvester copy of the Nirvana clean in half vertically before slicing it in half horizontally destroying it for good.
The battle was over and the Nirvana and its allies won the battle, but at a heavy price paid; Gascogne. Everyone observing the battle stood in amazement as the powerful mech stood proud along with the Eos, Pan, Valkyrie, Warrior, Ninja, and Blitzkrieg Gundams respectively stood near it.
"Enemy forces have lost control, all units have stopped." Belvedere said.
"Confirmed, enemy flagship is silent for good." Amarone said a few seconds later.
"Yeah! We did it!" Misty shouted.
Magno chuckled a bit before speaking, "Those are some great, fantastic kids!"
As the Super GunVandread left the deactivated Harvester ship before splitting back into its separate forms with Pyoro in the Archangel Fujin's cockpit with the other Gundams following, Bart looked outwards towards the silent enemy fleet before looking at his hands and arms.
"Am I going to combine with them as well and what would happen?" Bart asked himself.
Bart didn't have to worry about that for it would only affect the enhanced Dreads, Gundams, and Hibiki's Vanguard and not with the ship itself.
The heroes had won, but at a cost; Gascogne as everyone soon realized grimly and somberly one thing; in any battle or conflict yhat without sacrifice, there could be no victory against the Harvesters in this battle.
Everyone soon headed back to their ships to rest and remember Gascogne…
