I ran through the forest side aching from my ribs, but I couldn't stop. I had to know what was happening. Why they have come. The one's that cast us out. Killed my dad. The wind swept through my hair and I felt my heart beating right out of my chest and it wasn't from the running. It was from dread, fear, and most of all it was from the small amount of homesickness I felt. I'd be seeing faces that were familiar but then not. I haven't for the longest time thought the Ark was a possibility anymore and I couldn't help feeling the ache I felt as a young girl wanting to go back home and play with Wells.
I skidded to a stop just outside the crash zone perimeter watching as the drop ship smoked and everything was quiet. My breathing was raged as I touched my side and leant against a tree. I jumped when I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I looked over and it was Anya. We turned to watch as there was a loud hiss. The door began to open. I watched not daring to take a breath as the door hit the ground and there stood in the doorway were…
Teenagers?
My eyes widened as a group of them stood in the doorway too scared to move out of the drop ship. Suddenly, a girl around my age ran down the ramp, hitting the ground with a thumb and put up her hands and screamed.
"WE'RE BACK BITCHESSSSSSS!"
There was a roar of excitement and screaming as more kids raced out of the ship. They began jumping up and down, horsing around as my mouth opened and closed.
I stood there shocked and then I saw someone I hadn't thought I would see in a very long time.
"Wells…" I whispered out. It was him. He looked around cautiously before walking slowly down the ramp as well.
"Prisa…are these your Skaikru?" Ayna hissed out under her breath.
I nodded slowly and then turned to her fully.
"Anya…they're kids…well actually teenagers…my age…I don't know what's going on…why would the Ark send teenagers down to earth? They have no proper training…that I can see…"
Anya shook her head pondering.
"I do not know Clarke…"
"Tell Lexa that these kids are close to no threat at all…it does not look like they have weapons or any gear…something isn't right…"
Anya stared at the children walking around and then back at me.
"Clarke…I do not think it wise for you to come out and announce to them who you are…they do not look like they would understand."
I nodded my head.
"Go to Lexa and report…come back at nightfall and meet me here. I will observe until you return."
Anya nodded and then slipped away through the forest.
It was close to nightfall when I had observed everything I needed to see. They had no idea what they were doing and why they were down here. I let out a heavy sigh. I expected so much more after years of being banished and cast out. The camp was in complete chaos. There was no leadership and the amount that was there was abusive. I turned away in disgust from the crash site just as Anya approached.
"What are her orders." I asked.
She motioned with her chin behind her. I looked, a regimen of Trikru were blended into the surrounding forests.
I turned back to the camp.
"Spread out. Unarm and take prisoner. On me." I spoke as I steeled my face. It's time to gain some insight. We moved silently as we surrounded the camp. It was almost disheartening to see how off guard and unprepared they were. The camp grew silent as they all finally realized what was happening and then one screamed and the boys began fighting back. I walked with my hands behind my back as if I was strolling through camp on a foggy morning with Anya right behind me. I sighed and closed my eyes as I approached the three boys in the middle of camp being restrained. This was easier than catching rabbit in the summer when they were plentiful.
I opened my eyes once again and realized I must look scary as hell if that was any indication from the looks on all three of their faces. Well's especially. There was zero recognition from him which wasn't really a surprise. I scanned the other two and didn't recognize them. I turned back to Well's.
"W-Who are you." He said.
I continued to stare.
"We didn't think there was anyone else left alive on Earth." He continued.
"On their feet." I barked out. All three of the boys flinched as they were wrenched off the ground.
I scanned all three of them again. The one in the middle was bloody and bruised. He had the ugliest nose I had ever seen. Broken too many times. He must be the one with the mouth. The tall and fit looking boy with curls for days on the left glared at me as they were all hauled to their feet.
"Wells. Give it up. They can't understand us. They're speaking a weird language." The left boy said as he spat blood on the ground. "They're just a bunch of savages."
None of us gave indication that we understood him, but I was royally pissed.
I continued to stand there with my hands behind my back.
I glanced at Anya.
She kicked curly in the gut and he went flying.
"Bellamy!" A girl screamed in the crowd.
I looked down at the boy named Bellamy in distaste.
"Who we are hardly matters." I spoke.
Well's head snapped up as did the ugly boys. Both surprised.
"What matters is that you are all Trespassing in our land. Why are you here."
I bore into Wells eyes.
He swallowed as he looked behind me. Most likely to gauge how much of a threat they were in and I saw his shoulders slump. He realized there was only one way to get his people through this.
"We were sent down here to see if Earth was livable. Our home is dying. We don't have any other option. We were running out of time."
He fell silent as he hung his head and I stared at him as anger built.
"So, they sent children?" I hissed out as my body bristled.
Wells visibly shrunk away as a look of shock overtook him. "Yes…I don't know why we have no option…my father said they were running out of time and most of us would die…they sent us all as a last-ditch effort." He held up what looked like a metal bracelet. "They're monitoring us."
"The Ark has been dying off for ten years Wells. The air is becoming unbreathable." I stated.
Wells stared at me as if seeing me for the first time. His jaw moved and he opened his mouth and then closed it as his brow furrowed.
I didn't give him a chance to voice the question that was written all over his face.
"Gag them. Blindfold them. We are taking them home." Screaming began as I turned to walk away. "We are bringing them to Heda we have much to discuss."
I slipped into the forest as Anya followed.
"I trust your judgment princess, but shouldn't we get rid of this threat?" Anya asked.
"We will. The only one I cared even a small amount for is down here now. The memory of that place so far away has ended. It's time to kill their communication. If they think they died, they will stay up there and die off." The fury I felt was immeasurable. So much pain, so much suffering for survival and they didn't even realize this planet was livable. Sending us ten years ago to die.
I shook my head as I got on my horse that Anya had brought for me and we began to ride to Ton DC. With the 100 right behind us being led by a rope line.
Another clan conquered. I sighed. War never ends. I gripped the reigns in my hands and steeled myself for what's to come.
This would be a long and painful process.
I just had to find a place to start.
And that's the end of chapter 15. Thank you all for your fav's, follows and reviews. I've edited this chapter and a bit of 14. I will be continuing to edit and redo the last part of this story. I will hopefully be more active with my stories. Glad to be back.
