The scene fades in to show TME while he walked into the home he created in an empty lot in Station Square before he stopped in his room and sat on his bed to pull out the game he got and grins when he got a good look at it to show the readers that he got Far cry 3 before he spoke up to the readers.
"Hello everyone, and welcome to another chapter of TDS, as you can see, I got Far Cry 3 recently and I'm planning to play it, so I'll see you for the outro while I get setup." TME said with a grin on his face before the scene shifts to Emerald and the Spirit while they approach the large shrine.
?/ Shrine/ Emerald, The Spirit
When the duo got close to the shrine, Emerald's jaw had to drop when he saw the shrine in full, sure he saw it at a distance, but it looked many times bigger than it should, either the crash landing messed with his memory or this place had some kind of effect when you got close.
The Spirit stopped at an entryway before it turned to Emerald and spoke up.
"Welp, if you'll excuse me, I'll be heading on ahead, I'll be sending another Elemental to meet you." The Spirit said with a grin, and before Emerald could object, the Spirit vanished which caused Emerald to blink a few times before he sighed and starts to walk into the shrine and came up on a large room.
Though for some reason… he saw someone sleeping nearby, looked like a woman who looked like she could barely get dressed and only tossed on a tanktop and shorts, her hair was a mess and she looked like she was sleeping well which caused Emerald to rub the back of his head and tries to go by her.
However he jolts when he heard the woman speaking up.
"You know, it's not nice to just not introduce yourself… you know?" The woman said which made Emerald jolt before he looks back to see the women had opened one eye which looks right at him.
"Er… Hi… I'm… guessing you're an Elemental sent here to meet me?" Emerald asked which made the woman chuckle before he spoke up.
"Not really, was laying here napping since people rarely come by, but since the Spirit brought you here specifically, I guess I am to guide you, my name is Kamikazix, Elemental of wind and strategist of the Elemental's." KamiKazix said before Emerald's eyes widen before he got an angered look on his face.
"Wait… your the reason ...why things went like that in the Trial of Blades!" Emerald said while his energy subconsciously flared a bit, however instead of being threatened, Kamikazix just keeps her smile before he spoke up in a calming tone.
"Indeed, but it wasn't supposed to go like that, the main point was to observe and see how Nocturn and see if he was-!" Kamikazix tried to say, but had to move with surprising speed when Emerald used a chaos enhanced fist to try and attack her, but the speed she used far eclipsed his when she read his attack, but that didn't stop Emerald from attacking while he said this.
"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!?... OBSERVE!?... YOU PUT ME!, NOCTURN!, AND EVERYONE THROUGH A 4 YEAR LONG DUNGEON FOR THAT!?, AND YOU DID NOTHING TO HELP!?, NOT WITH LEONEL!?, CORE!?, LYNX!?, OR EVEN UMBRA!?, AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH LILLUM!..." Emerald roars with green and black energy pouring from him while Kamikazix just stayed silent while she dodged his attacks easily.
For a few minutes, Emerald keeps trying to attack Kamikazix with multi energy based fists while Kamikazix keeps dodging before Kamikazix decided that this was getting ridiculous before she used surprising speed to appear in front of Emerald during one of his punches and a moment later, Emerald
painfully found himself on his back and he was looking right at the ceiling before he saw Kamikazix looking right down at him with a half lidded look on her face before she spoke up.
"Feel better?" Kamikazix said while Emerald continues to glare at her before he sat up before he spoke up.
"Mind telling me where an exit to this place is?, I really don't want to get flipped again…" Emerald growled out while Kamikazix spoke up.
"Unfortunately I'm supposed to give a tour of the place by the Spirit before taking you to your teacher." Kamikazix said before Emerald sent her a glare before he spoke up.
"I rather take anyone but you and your Elemental friends… all I care for is to see Nocturn and Solar if she is here." Emerald said with a glare, however instead of getting mad, Kamikazix just shrugs before she spoke up.
"Well if you don't want Xan to teach you about Aura then I guess I could walk you out." Kamikazix said while she turned to walk away with an innocent look on her face before Emerald grits his teeth before he spoke up.
"F-Fine… I… I'll... take… the damn tour…"
Kamikazix looked to him with a slight smile before she gestured for Emerald to follow her and Emerald, with gritted teeth, followed along before Kamikazix spoke up while they were passing various rooms.
"As you can see, only Elemental's can come here, but since your unique situation technically makes you half Elemental, you have access as well, and if you brings guests, they can rest here." Kamikazix said while she showed Emerald around the guest area where many rooms were seen while he looked around before the duo went to another area.
"This is the main rest area for Elemental's, long story short, we live here when not on a mission and Kuro owns the Room of Darkness, Oceanic and Infernus normally bunk in one another's room, Terragaia, lives in the earth based room, I can go on but you get what I mean right?" Kamikazix asked while Emerald stays silent which made Kamikazix think for a second before she said this.
"Maybe we should stop by the training room after one last stop for the major rooms." Kamikazix explained to Emerald who took a moment to shrug.
"Alright, the quicker we get this done with, the sooner we can go our separate ways." Emerald said when he walked after Kamikazix who walked ahead of him before the found themselves inside of a massive room that looked bigger then a football stadium…. Times 4 with a massive gate on the far end which… showed a wall?
"What the?..." Emerald said when he saw nothing else inside of the room before Kamikazix spoke up when she passed him.
"This room is the Dimensional pathway, a place where people who are not able to Dimensionally jump normally can go through, used to be for the public but when we moved to this Dimension, we lost the locations of various Dimensions and has been inactive ever sense." Kamikazix said while she had her hands behind her back.
"So why not make them again?" Emerald asked with a raised eyebrow which made Kamikazix sigh which caused Emerald some confusion.
"We have only been able to recently locate a few, but never been able to actually go there since we were pulled away to a mission that I don't want to talk about, long story short, we were on that mission for a while and got back shortly before your and Nocturn's test, so we were not able to make fast travel locations." Kamikazix said which confused Emerald but he ignored it so he can find out of Nocturn is alright, personally he had some trouble following explanations sometimes and that was way to vague for him.
Kamikazix noticed before she shrugged it off to lead Emerald out of the room before she led Emerald deep into the shrine to show a massive gate that opens in a spiral pattern before Emerald saw it open to show a white void like area and Xan in the middle of it which confused Emerald when he thought he was getting to see Nocturn and Solar.
"Ummm…" Emerald said with a confused tone before he saw Xan look their way before he approached Emerald and Kamikazix before saying this.
"I'm guessing the tour is finished?" Xan said before Emerald said this.
"Wait, what about Nocturn and Solar?" Emerald said before Kamikazix said this when she starts to walk out of the room.
"Simple, you'll head there after your training with Xan… good luck." Kamikazix said which confused Emerald before the door to the void like room closed before Xan spoke up.
"So… from the look of things, you swallowed your pride and anger and followed the person who started this in a sense?" Xan said which made Emerald narrow his eyes before he said this.
"You kidding, I attacked her for a bit when I learned who she was and what she did but she kept dodging every attack I made and in one moment, I threw a punch at her but I was knocked or tossed onto my ass... it happened so fast that I couldn't get what happened… Am I really that weak?" Emerald said before Xan said this with a half lidded look on his face which made Emerald jolt and sweatdrop when it didn't even take Xan a few seconds to answer that.
"Pretty much... Bordux, Aggro, and the Elemental's are like… what was the term for video games again?, been awhile… ah, it would be like a level 20 character fighting a level 99 superboss, granted I'm no slouch but because of my old age even with Aura, I'm like around… an 80 to 90 superboss but I can push myself back into peak condition if the situation was right, but there's more to a battle then raw power, but I'll get to that later, for now pull yourself together so we can start the training after a few explanations." Xan said to a very depressed looking Emerald before he walked away from Emerald.
"Get a grip Emerald, he's just saying that to be kind after all, you know the saying about tough love with mortals." Onimusha said to Emerald before Emerald got up after he shook his head a few times before he heard Xan say this.
"Still you were able to get back here with everyone thanks to some moves beyond risky, minus Umbra who had another reason for sticking around Bordux, that's more than what most can say about others who would call people like you suicidal or something for taking risks like that." Xan said which did both perk yet depress Emerald a bit when he did remember the risks he made in the Trial of Blades.
"So while I can say without a shadow of a doubt, you are weak, but with my training, you may have a chance of surviving in the nightmare that is the art of battle and tactics." Xan said with a serious tone to his voice, but what shocked Emerald silent was not the way Xan said it, but the look in Xan's eyes which showed that Xan was serious about this which caused Emerald to gulp for a moment before Xan said this.
"Well?... will you take the full force of my training?, from the looks of things, it will be hell for you with this Eggman and his bots and Bordux's group… but I have a feeling you will do well if your trained right." Xan said with a wide grin a moment later which caused Emerald to remember each of his friends and allies he made on the way before saying this while punching his right fist into his left palm while both arms flared with Chaos energy for a moment.
"Alright… give me the highest level course you got!" Emerald said which made Xan's grin get bigger before he said this.
(Warning from TME: lesson from here on gets word heavy….)
"Alright… your first lesson…." Xan said while his body emits a red mist which could be Chaos energy to Emerald who gulped from how serious Xan looked before Xan said this with a look of a shockingly fast 180 when he gave Emerald an eye smile.
"To learn about Aura." Xan said which caused Emerald to fall on his face comically while Xan looked at him with a confused look with his one eye before saying this.
"What's wrong?, expect things to be more physical?" Xan said with an amused tone a moment later which caused Emerald to push himself up with a half lidded look on his face before he said this.
"You can say that…." Emerald said which made Xan chuckle for a moment before he seemed to pull a 180 again and got a serious look in his eyes before Xan said this.
"Naive!, without proper knowledge, you won't use the training to its fullest!" Xan said before bopping Emerald on top of his head with his cane which caused Emerald to grip his head while calling this.
"OW!" Emerald said before Xan spun his cane and hit Emerald in the forehead and knocked him onto his back before Emerald used one hand to hold his aching head and the other for his stinging forehead.
"Ohhh... " Emerald groans before Xan said this.
"I will say this, keep your guard up at all times, you never know when an opponent will jump out at you." Xan said before he raised his cane to block a punch from Emerald who looked pissed before Xan said this.
"To slow." Xan said with a half lidded look on his face before he moved his cane towards Emerald and Emerald fell on his ass and before Emerald could move, he got surprised when Xan placed the head of his cane in front of Emerald before Xan said this.
"Now then, since your sitting there, why don't we get the lesson started by talking about aura, the life force that everyone can use in battle and in other things." Xan said which made Emerald remember this when he fought Aggro…
Flashback… Battle in Trial of blades final floor...
"Guess you never fought an aura user after you lost your memories huh kid?" Aggro said which greatly confused Emerald before he thought back to his previous battles, none made him bounce back like that before.
"I'm guessing from your confused look that you never did, here's a lesson for you sense you'll be joining us soon." Aggro said which pissed off Emerald greatly before Aggro spoke up before he could respond.
"To make a long story short, that orange coating like aura you saw was something like armor, or if you want a better example, try standing in a blizzard with no clothing at all, even a novice of aura would get what I mean." Aggro said which infuriated Emerald before he calmed down to think.(A/N: Best I can say it watch Hunter x Hunter 2011, not a bad anime to watch.)
Flashback over…
Emerald then got knocked out of his remembering when Xan hits him on top of the head with his cane before Xan said this.
"Pay attention, I'm about to explain Aura in detail." Xan said while Emerald held his head before looking to Xan with a pissed off look.
"Hey!, I'll be knocked out and miss that lesson if you knock me out so quit it!" Emerald said with a pained look on his face while Xan gave him a half lidded look and with serious speed, hit Emerald on the head again before he starts pacing in front of a pained Emerald before he spoke up.
"First off, Aura is the basis of all life in various Dimensions... it can be used for various attacks... slow aging down greatly like Chaos energy, so that property is doubles as well and I said this to pre memory loss you... but I'll say it again and say that it can lead to you living for a long long time, and considering the cost of the revival skill you learned, then more so to be important you learn this, and Aura can be used in ways that can rival Chaos energy here, can also affect others who can't see it in ways that would either be considered supernatural or painfully horrible depending on how you use it and as long as you don't pull a stupid stunt and use to much Aura in an attack, you can recover with a good meal before or after a nap, Aura is the lifeforce of everyone after all so think of yourself as a rechargeable battery, you can recover it but if you hit zero, then its game over, some Aura abilities can use death but that's an absolute last resort that is not for you for obvious reasons..." Xan said while Emerald, though pissed and confused a bit at what his pre memory loss side heard, sat on the ground to listen which caused Xan to grin before he summoned some kind of floating diagram that had 6 icons with odd words on it before Xan said this.
"Now I'll explain Aura types and the basic steps needed to control Aura and make it into something called Nen…" Xan said before he summoned a pointer which he used to point to the top most icon on the diagram which was green and he said this.
"First is Enhancer, it's a aura type that's focused on close combat and augmenting ones body for hand to hand based battles, their normally open about their thoughts personality wise, it's a trait that most share at least so you can gauge what type of user they are most of the time by reading their personality." Xan said before pointing to the next icon which had the color purple.
"Second is Transmitters, they are normally tricky minded people, and they can use techniques that reflect that with random or unpredictable effects." Xan explained which got Emerald to think of Bordux and that fit well with him if that is the case while Xan moves the pointer to next icon that had a yellow coloring.
"Third is Emitters, normally impatient people, not detailed oriented and quick to get violent, they are similar to Enhancers in that they can be impulsive but they normally calm down and forget things easier, they normally have long range abilities as a forte." Xan explained before pointing to the red icon under the Transmutation icon.
"Forth is Conjurers, they normally have high strung or overly serious or stoic attitudes, they are normally on guard, smart, and plan things in advance which is a forte, and they can create objects made of Aura that can be used in senseable ways in and out of battle." Xan explained before he moved the pointer to the icon that looked grey.
"Fifth is Manipulator, logical people who advance at their own pace, they can argue with others but want to keep their families and loved ones safe, but are too damn stubborn about listening to others when they have their own goal in mind, manipulators are able to manipulate people, objects, like smoke or Paper that has been hardened with Aura, but that is later since I need to go over the very basics of Aura after this." Xan said before he moved the pointer to the final icon… the Blue Icon.
"Finally is specialist, they are normally loners and surprisingly popular, they like to keep to themselves but are surrounded by people, they normally as their class says, have a move that is unique to them that can't be categorized by the other 5 categories and focus on that skill only, in this Dimension's case, you may not remember him, but Sonic the Hedgehog's trait is speed, granted you can count that as physical abilities, but even if a person trained, they would not reach that type of speed with ease, and Sonic had it for years, even as a child." Xan said before continuing when Emerald looked confused.
"Or if you want to use an Elemental, Kamikazix for example, if she trained a student and got them to a sufficient level, then she can use an ability that Elemental's have to give up their forms and pass their memories and power onto their students, its not like they die, but reside deep in the students body since they are passing everything to the student, and while some others have similar abilities, the Elemental's are unique for their elemental mastery which they can pass on so you can say its one that builds power over time." Xan said while Emerald blinked a few times in realization and confusion but stayed silent since he could care less about Kamikazix right now.
Xan saw that but ignored it to continue on the lesson on Aura.
"Now for an example of Aura being used, thanks to the Chaos energy you use, your able to sense Aura somewhat and because of how strong Aggro is, his Aura was able to be seen by you, but that's only because of the amount of energy he has, while I can take him in a fight, unfortunately I don't have the same amount of power, nor am I as young as I used to be, so the Aura I have can't really be seen unless I really focus on making it show, but to sense it… well you know the term killing intent?... well…" Xan said before his one eye got a cold look and Emerald felt a pressure like no other go over him which caused him to break out in a cold sweat and he jumped back from Xan when he felt like he was about to fight Aggro again, he knew Xan wouldn't attack him with deadly intent right now, but his body just reacted on instinct and he was quite a bit away from Xan who emits a dark red mist and his features looked more… demonic or something before he recalled his Aura and chuckled at Emerald and said this.
"As you can see, while some untrained people can use killing intent, those trained in Aura or Nen can use it that way, and that it just one way." Xan said while he waits for Emerald to calm down, and a minute later, Emerald walked back to Xan, granted Emerald was shaken up but he got the idea now.
"Now then, there are various principles of Nen that we need to go over first before we can see if we can unlock the ability to use Aura in you…" Xan said before he summoned another diagram before he said this when he points to the first one on the second diagram.
"The First step is Ten, or Shroud, it is the process of keeping something called Nodes open… Nodes let Aura escape the body slowly, but Ten keeps the Aura locked around the body instead of leaking away, best I can say is that it feels like a lukewarm, viscous fluid all around your body, it helps keep the body youthful like I explained earlier so there is the reduced aging effect of this step, and Ten is also the most Basic defense against Aura based abilities, it also helps with physical defense like with Aggro and his durability as a major example, but you need to be careful if the attack is enhanced with Aura, and through constant meditation and Practice, you can do it in your sleep, it's like riding a bike or breathing, you never forget how to do it since it will be apart of your daily life, it's the easiest but the most important step as the better Ten you have the more control you have over your Aura." Xan said while he moved to the second icon.
"The second step is called Zetsu, it's the opposite of Ten in that it closes the nodes that let Aura leak out and it makes your presence harder to sense and it's perfect for trackers, but not impossible for people to sense if said 5 senses like sound and sight are high enough, even strong Aura users can hide their aura from others with this and it can be used to recover faster from fatigue, but try to keep that part for when you know your in a safe place since you would be completely defenseless from others and can take massive damage from Aura based hits, even weak ones." Xan said which made Emerald nod when he could get that, it would be like if Aggro made his presence vanish, that would be a scary thought in so many ways.
Xan then points to another icon before he spoke up.
"This next move is the opposite of Ten called Ren… in a nutshell it's... like... THIS!" Xan said before roaring when a pressure bursts from his body that knocked Emerald onto his back which made Emerald look to Xan with shock when the pressure was intense, it wasn't hostile but it did get him to realize how weak he was compared to Xan while Xan recalls his aura and he said this while Emerald slowly sat up.
"Unfortunately you can't see Aura unless it's extremely dense but you did feel the pressure it emitted, but in a nutshell, this move makes the Aura around you amplify around you and allows you to use higher level techniques and stronger power with physical attacks, but it's like a double edge sword since it can eat up Aura, one can train their Ren so it can be used longer in and out of battle, but normally it takes one month of training to only get 10 minutes out of battle, so if Ten is the defensive style of Aura, than Ren is for the offensive style." Xan said while Emerald got the analogy for the offensive style.
Xan then went to the next icon on the second diagram before he spoke up.
"The final basic step is called Hatsu, It is normally influenced by the category your in and is used to project the Aura into a special or unique paranormal ability that is normally called a Nen ability... Nen is another word for Aura, even though it's called a basic ability, it's mainly to allow the activation of a Nen ability so it's… a bit hard to just say what it's categorized since it mainly depends on the person, you following boy?" Xan said while Emerald, after a moment of thought, nods at Xan to show that he was listening and he understood which made Xan nod before he said this.
"Now I doubt I have to go over Chaos Energy with you if Nocturn went over it with you but I will anyway since I don't want questions asked later so consider this a refresher course, but Chaos Energy, while it can be branched out into elemental attacks if you remember right, can mainly classified into two types of energies, positive and negative, Positive deals with the good emotions that people feel when they want to do something good for another, while the Negative aspect can be used for evil or selfish ways to harm others." Xan said which made Emerald tilt his head before he asked this.
"Hold on, I get the positive bit, but you say the Negative part is mainly used for selfish reasons but what about the Elemental of Darkness and stuff?, Nocturn doesn't use his powers for evil reasons, and while I'll admit to a few irritable moments in the dungeon, mainly knocking Nocturn around when he does something anger inducing, but all in all, I've used both positive and and Negative to protect Lillum and the others, so how do you explain that?" Emerald said which made Xan blink a few times before he said this.
"Well the main reason is simple… and that is…" Xan said before he took a moment to think of the right words which made Emerald lean in a bit to listen before he said this.
"That is?" Emerald asked before Xan gave him a half lidded look before he said this.
"Well, you could say that Morality is relative." Xan said which made Emerald fall on the ground comically and his leg twitched in the air when he didn't expect that.
"Y-You've got to be kidding me…" Emerald said which made Xan shrug before he said this.
"Well I don't have a real answer for that, you could say that for the positive and negative traits, it all depends on the person in question on if they use either, I mean take one world or World A for instance, as long as people work in the confines of the law, some can either be saints or monsters who technically work for the kingdom, and they would still be considered good in other eyes, while for World B if two warring Kingdoms, one of Light, was fighting against a Dark themed kingdom, people of the light kingdom would vouch for the light kingdom while the people for the Dark Kingdom would vouch for the Dark so it's all a matter of perspective and whatnot that makes it hard to classify what is positive and negative with Chaos users, as for beings like Nocturn, their bodies are trained to withstand the negative traits while keeping the power in check, I mean you've been turbocharged time and again by Nocturn, so you should get why this training is necessary yes?" Xan said while Emerald looked thoughtful by that before he nods his head which made Xan nod belack before he said this.
"Now, once your training here is complete, you should be much stronger, but don't expect it to be all in one day… in fact I expect you to pass out a few times and even then I may just kick your body around while your out, tough love so to speak, the only thing I can tell you now is that with Chaos energy, your imagination is the key for making moves all your own." Xan said while Emerald looked to him with a surprised look which Xan noticed before he said this.
"What's wrong?, Afraid of getting your ass handed to you by an old man?" Xan said while he grins at Emerald who frowned at Xan before Emerald said this while the camera focused on Emerald.
"You kidding?, I came here at full… health… so… br...ing...it… on…. Emerald said before he trailed off when Xan's Shadow in front of Emerald grew while Emerald watched Xan off screen while Xan's shadow seemed to change and Emerald got wide eyes at what he saw while Xan's voice, which sounded deeper, said this.
"Well then boy… time to see the skills and tricks that you have before we get into the lessons seriously."
