'Hm. How quaint.'

I am sat within a shack of some sort, all around me are fragments of broken furniture, shattered glass, hell, even a collapsed wall.

I sit in a pool of dried blood from who I assume used to be the owner of this new vessel of mine.

You have been reborn! You are welcome!

I am the Departed Immigration and Complementary Enlightenment System! But you can call me D.I.C.E.!

Floating before me is a screen... of some sort.

A gamer system more than likely.

Why 'Departed Immigration and Complementary Enlightenment', you might ask?-

'I didn't.'

Well, my creators really wanted to get an acronym that spelt Dice! Simple, right?

There is a reason to this madness, however, this system allows you to become a d&d character! Incredible, right?! However, it's not the average D&D system, you don't exactly get Exp... what you DO get however, is a little something called 'Electrum'.

We will get into that in a moment! First let's make you, shall we?

A vicious smirk steadily appears on my face. 'Oh? Is that so?'

If you couldn't tell, I am- or, well, was- a massive D&D nerd... creating absolutely BUSTED abominations against the Gods was indeed a fair pastime. Hell, I even managed to break one so badly he was able to compete with gods at only level twenty-one.

To put that into perspective, that is like a small kitten killing a fully grown body builder. Most of even the weakest gods, hell, weaker than DEMIGODS were level twenty and had an extra twenty hitdie strapped to them. And in D&D even the smallest level difference was a big thing. A level five nine times out of ten could never win against a level ten... and that one win was from being incredibly lucky or having some sort of gimick that perfectly counters the level ten.

Of course, good ol nicky couldn't really fight against anything beyond a 'lesser deity' but... eh, you win some, you lose some.

And I am about to absolutely break my new body... pushing it beyond the limits of what is 'normal' and creating some sort of affront to God.

If you haven't already noticed, the DICE system automatically aligns itself to whatever system you are most familiar with.

Name:

Level: 0

Class: None

Race: Human

Stats:

STR: 0
DEX: 0
CON: 0
INT: 0
WIS: 0
CHA: 0

Now, a couple things might be going through your head right now, primarily, 'Why aren't I dead. A living creature with 0 in stats literally cannot function'. And well, it's quite simple. This is the tutorial, friend! Rules don't apply here! First, shall we roll your stats?

The sound of dice clinking around from somewhere causes me to smile slightly. Ah... a nostalgic sound.

Statistic 1: 17!

Statistic 2: 16!

Statistic 3: 18!

Statistic 4: 13!

Statistic 5: 12!

Statistic 6: 12!

'OHOHO! Fuck yeah! That's like, INCREDIBLE stats. I could be practically ANY class with that.'

I tilt my head. 'oh? Now that is a good idea... why don't I just recreate Nicky. I have the stats for it. Hell, I'd probably be even better than he ever was with this nonsense.'

My hands become just a blur as I quickly fill out my character sheet.

Now, these classes function practically the same as they did in your original 3.5 system, however, there is a massive change you will find in this system, as previously stated, you won't get any exp. What you do get, is Electrum.

Electrum is the shop's currency, the shop allows you to purchase Levels, Skill Points, Feats, Items, Stat points, race changes, templates, class swaps, and even special rules like 'Gestalting'! The regular way you get 'Electrum' is by gaining 'achievements', completing quests appointed by the system, or through completing bounties by killing 'Elite' enemies... which is technically a quest now that I think about it.

Anyways, there is a second way to gain Electrum!

For standard classes, every seven days you survive you will gain 1 Electrum for every level you have, to save up for anything worthwhile you'll need to save up for quite a while~

However, there are a second set of classes that allow you to get much more out of surviving day to day! The NPC classes!

Every day your survive as an NPC class is a victory, thus, every day you live, you gain 1 Electrum per level of an NPC class you have.

However, if you are a true dare devil, and TRUELY believe in your skill, you may select the weakest of all NPC classes, the 'Commoner'! Every day you survive as one of those, you gain 2 Electrum per commoner class level! Potentially allowing you to get the good stuff in an extremely short time!

I finish my character sheet in about thirty minutes... level one characters really don't get much of the good stuff, do they?

A new screen appears before me.

Would you like to give yourself a penalty for extra Electrum? You may choose a penalty from a list if you really want, hell, you could even pick all of them if you wanted!

"Show me the list." I mutter.

Character Start Penalties:

Note: with the system, these aren't permanent. If you choose to maim yourself, you will remain maimed until you manage to gain powerful enough spellcasting to fix it, or simply pay the system to fix it for you.

Limb Loss: 1000 Electrum
You may choose one of your current 'Crucial Limbs' to sacrifice in order to gain more Electrum.
Special: This can be chosen multiple times, the amount of Electrum increasing by 50% for every additional time past the first.

Mute: 500 Electrum
You sacrifice your voice for more of that sweet, sweet, Electrum

Deaf: 1000 Electrum
You sacrificed your ears for more Electrum-

I stop reading the descriptions as it mostly seems to be things along the line of 'blah blah blah, Penalty for Electrum.'

Blind: 1000 Electrum

Meager Fortitude: 500 Electrum

Child-

Wait, child?

Child: 100 Electrum
You start out with the 'Young' Template. Dear god. I wonder how you remove it!

I shake my head and continue on, scanning through the list to completion.

'hn.'

I take Weak Fortitude, Weak Will, and Poor Reflexes, each simply lowering my 'saves' by three each, leaving me with two zeros and a negative two.

Those will probably be annoying to start off with, but the pros outweigh the cons... I studied quite a bit of the shop while I was creating my new body, and having an excess to start out with gives me hundreds of advantages... even just those three give me fifteen hundred more electrum. To put that into perspective... to get to level two... I only need one hundred.

I decide to take 'Noncombatant' and 'Shaky' as well, adding on an additional eight hundred electrum.

I tilt my head to the left and right, then quickly apply my new surplus of points.

Name: Ern Marrow

Level: 4

Class: Sorcerer

Race: Silverbow Human (1/8)

Stats:

STR: 16
DEX: 17
CON: 11 (13-2)
INT: 12
WIS: 12
CHA: 18

I let out a quiet chuckle as I stand to my full height, my body is young and my skin is slightly pale, I glance into a nearby piece of shattered glass to see a strikingly handsome lad, about sixteen years of age, no spots of ache, nor any sort of unappealing trait, he has short brown hair with silver highlights throughout and his brownish red- mahogany eyes gleam with a slight darkened mischief.

I turn my head slightly and study my jawline, a smug smirk on my face. "Damn... those eighteen points in charisma really work wonders."

I take a step forwards and blink as two screens assault my vision.

Due to incredible Dexterity, 'Shaky' has been removed.

Due to Incredible Dexterity, 'Poor Reflexes' has been removed.

Due to Incredible Strength, 'Noncombatant' has been removed.

'oh? Ohohoho! Wonderful! That means I basically got thirteen hundred points without any downside!'

I cup my chin as I look to my health... a small thirteen...

A normal 'decent' sorcerer should have around double that by now... at the very least over twenty, yet here I am with nothing more than thirteen.

Ah well, it'll pay off in the future.

I smile into the broken mirror and run a finger along my teeth.

All perfect.

Thanks Charisma.

Thanks to being a level four, and min-maxing the hell out of my spells, I'm basically untouchable.

I still have a couple more electrum left, two hundred in fact, so why don't I just quickly spend it on something.

Is it possible to purchase items with this? That'd-

items 99 Gp and under are on the house! You can take them all for free! Just keep in mind you have a slight cooldown. Try not to crash the economy!

"…"

'They just gave me infinite wealth... I am going to abuse the absolute fuck out of that.'

I won't use it quite yet, of course, I'd like to only use it when needed or when I am completely and totally safe within a town or village. If I use it now, well, then I'd have to carry around whatever I make, and who knows when I might need a potion of some sort.

I slowly make my way towards the collapsed wall of the shack, straightening my clothes as I do so.

'now... let's just see where I a-'

A Quest has been received:
Where in the worlds am I?
Find out what Universe you are currently in: [ ]
Rewards: 100 Electrum

'…'

'Yes. That.'

An alert appears in the corner of my vision.

There is magic in the air, every breath you take revitalizes your magical core and grants you more power. Your spells now completely refresh after an hour of rest instead of eight hours.

"…"

My smirk is evil enough to potentially cause serial killers pause.

"Well... that's useful."

I still have no clue where I am, but this buff to my magic is definitely welcomed.

I slowly step away from the burned house, my clothing looks mostly unaffected, just a little ash around the end of the sleeves and ankles... but luckily... it doesn't have the 'this guy was brutally maimed in his own burning house' look at all!

I let out a low hum as I pat myself down.

Now I just need to find some sort of village.

I shift my backpack's strap and continue walking forwards.

I have been wandering for around six hours now... I feel no real tiredness quite yet, so that's nice... additionally I have been following a road for about an hour. I am bound to get to some sort of town or village soon.

I frown as a singular person walks into view, he is rough looking, with leather armor and a large cleaver at his side, he has a scar running down his cheek and short brown hair tied up into a ponytail.

"Alright, kid, if you want to get through here, you have to pay a fee. If you don't... well..."

He steadily grips the cleaver and smirks. "The price is everything you have in that backpack, there."

I blink slowly and glance around, I see slight shifting in the bushes, the gleam of an arrow from up in a tree, and low crackle of someone stepping on a twig as they try to sneak through the brush.

"hm." I hum as I abruptly turn around. "Nah, I don't want to go through there."

"WRONG ANSWER BRAT!" The man shouts as he rushes forwards, drawing his cleaver as an arrow is fired, I take a step back, avoiding the arrow as a man rushes out in front of me, a third leaping out of a nearby bush.

'Four in all, hm? Doable.'

I point my right hand under my armpit, my index and middle fingers coming to rest against his sternum as his eyes widen, his arm is slung back in preparation to slash me, he wasn't expecting my sudden backstep.

My thumb cocks like the hammer of a gun as the man is launched backwards, blood spewing from the corners of his mouth as a red beam of what looks like a mix between fire and magma pierces cleanly through his chest.

"SHIT!" I hear the one in the tree shout as I whirl around and point my finger at him, my eyes briefly widening as a red magic circle appears around the fingertips.

"HE'S A MAGE-*Grk-*

A corpse falls from the tree, eyes wide as a small coin-sized hole passes cleanly through the center of his throat.

I turn towards the guy rushing at me from behind, snagging a crossbow bolt from a holster at my waist, his eyes are wide in horror, and he seems to be slowing his charge.

The crossbow bolt in between my fingertips takes off like a missile, clearing the distance between us in the blink of an eye, it lodges into my target's leg, just above the knee, my aim had been a little bit off, but that bolt is enough to take him down for now.

The man collapses as I turn to face the last guy in this little bandit group, he turns and quickly tries to run away, but all he gets for his efforts is a laser beam to the back that sends him collapsing forwards.

I slowly walk towards the last bandit, the one who had been tripped by the bolt through his leg and smile down at him.

"P-Please don't kill me." The man blubbers as I hold out a hand towards him, palm facing him as he sits up.

I give him a kind smile. "Tell me where you hide all of you treasure and I'll let you go... don't try lying to me, of course, I have a magic item that will alert me if you do so... and I can promise you... if that happens... you won't like what I will do next."

"W-W-We have a camp about two hundred feet off the path in that direction. I-It has everything we have. P-please don't kill me!"

I smirk.

*FWOOMPH*

A massive rainbow cone of color explodes down at him, kicking up dust that slowly puffs outwards, the cone didn't even last for half a second, it was there one instant, and gone the next.

The mans eyes roll back in his head as I grab his collar and steadily drag him off the road.

I pull a scroll out of my bag with one hand, and as I sit the man down, I open it, I read over it, formula scrawled across the parchment paper, the runic lettering glows brightly as the paper quickly turns into ashes.

I point out into the street towards the two corpses, then to the one slumped beside the tree. "Drag those over here."

I crouch down next to the unconscious man. "Hn... this is my first time... why couldn't it have been with a hot girl or something."

I sit up the unconscious man as he slowly returns to consciousness, he groans and writhes slightly, still unaware of what is happening to him.

"Where..." He whispers absentmindedly as clarity returns to his eyes, he shakes off his stupor just in time to see my hand inches from his face.

"ohgod-"

*FLASH*

I tilt his head and grimace as I stare at his neck.

Well... there's no time like the present... and I am getting a little hungry.

My teeth sink into his jugular vein.

Blood isn't as bad as I thought it would be...

Vampirism does have its perks... even if it is stage one of eight.

I glance to my health.

I have gained some temporary health from draining that man's blood. Quite a bit, actually.

I'll have to slowly purchase the rest, of course, but I'd like to focus on leveling for now... besides, if I progress too far without having the prerequisites for vampire lord, I'll die in the sunlight.

To turn a base vampire into a vampire lord, you need several things, first, you need to have broken free from the control of- and have slain your 'Sire', the person who turned you into a vampire, but seeing as how nobody turned me into a vampire, that has been checked off. Next, you need to have lived as a vampire for one hundred years, a large issue, yes, but by paying slightly more you can just ignore that prerequisite, next you must create ten vampires themselves and survive an assassination attempt from one of them, easily accomplishable, just create a load of vampires, release one from your control, and smile as he attempts to take your head off in a feral rage at losing his humanity and whatever horrendous things you had forced him to do by this point.

The final prerequisite is to be above 'level ten', normally, in D&D, to be above 'level ten' you had to actually be a level eighteen vampire due to bullshit level adjustment- I mean, really, why do they have eight level adjustment when they die if they even look out the window! Liches are just slightly weaker vampires- without the extreme light weakness- and they have a level adjustment of FOUR! Why the hell do vampires have an EIGHT?! Don't even get me started on Dryliches. Adding charisma to health is an absolute abomination for undead.

Luckily, with the system, I can get that.

I shake my head and continue walking along the path, slightly shifting my backpack full of stolen loot.

Another lucky break for myself is that as a step one vampire who is only capable of dealing constitution damage, through a small oversight in the rules, technically my temporary hitpoints last forever.

Current Hitpoints: 23/13

If I was even a step two vampire, who could deal 'drain'- also known as 'permanently fucking a stat till a certain spell is cast on it'- my temporary hitpoints would last an hour... now I just have extra health until I get pimp smacked by Natsu or something...

Oh yeah, I'm in the fairy tail world.

I figured it out after a minute of pondering about why the money in the bandit's bags looked so familiar.

Which means yaaaay free electrum.

Anyways, back to my earlier point, for a vampire to become a vampire lord, ignoring the one-hundred-year requirement thanks to the system, it would cost thirty thousand Electrum...

Absolutely ridiculous.

For me to get that, I'd have to first claw my way up to level ten, then quietly wait for... a little under fifty-eight years...

That is completely and totally unreasonable, considering my body's age, and seeing as how I am more than likely a good three or four years before 'Canon' I do not have the time to piss about and wait.

That leaves me with two options to gain my upwards of one hundred thousand electrum, taking into account the price for steadily evolving my vampirism and leveling up.

The first, is do an absolutely metric ASS LOAD of quests... I might be able to accomplish that in under a year if I can manage to find a bunch of good ones.

That of course means I'd have to complete a quest worth a little more than two hundred and fifty experience a day...

It's not like I won't be doing this option... it's just that I won't be accomplishing it very quickly.

The second option is an 'auction'.

What's an auction you ask?

A screen pops up in front of me.

Welcome to the Auction House!

I quickly look into a random room; it is apparently the 'low' room.

Rias Gremory's Panties: 1 Electrum.

"…"

User 349990 has bid 2 Electurm.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I quietly whisper.

User 253412 has bid 5 Electurm.

'Why are these fucking idiots bidding on this?!'

User 349990 has bid 10 Electurm.

User 412135 has bid 11 Electrum.

To put this 'electrum' nonsense into perspective, one electrum is worth one hundred gold in the 'd&d' market... you could buy a 'Bracers of Armor plus one' with the amount they are selling Rias Gremory's panties for... of course, items eventually start costing more and more... I think it's around fifteen thousand gold that multipliers start getting added to the cost of magic items, but still...

Why.

Going Once.

Going Twice!

Going Thrice!

SOLD! Rias Gremory's Panties has been purchased by User 253412 for 26 Electrum!

The other way for me to amass currency really quickly is through this system.

I quietly tug my backpack off my back and look inside it, I cast detect magic and slowly look around.

Only my few scrolls are magical- oh wait!

I reach in and pull out a single ring.

'what the fuck is this?'

I focus my detection on it.

'It has... Faint... Evocation!'

Really faint... evocation... considerably weaker than my own scorching ray.

Fuck.

I cup my chin and let out a low growl as I stuff the ring back into the bag.

The next time I level up, I really should get identify.

The only way I can see myself getting to my true status in a reasonable time, is by grabbing a rare item of some sort... maybe I could grab the celestial spirit keys? But then there's the problem of me sending away the only way to summon the celestial spirit keys...

Hm... I don't want Zeref winning, of course, but at the same time, if I get to a high enough level, I'll have a spell specifically for dealing with him... but who knows if I'll actually get to that level... and he might just manage to pass my save dc.

But how do I make money from this shitty world?

'…'

I could pull off the classic d&d dream and rob a magic shop... that'll maybe get me one thousand electrum... depending on what good stuff they have inside.

I slowly blink as a genius ploy makes itself known. 'oho... now that is a good plan. It really just depends on where I was placed within the story, I suppose.'

I'll figure that out soon.

I calmly sip on my drink as I glance across the road, standing there is a mass of girls, cheering and shouting wildly at a man with dark blue hair, and a tattoo above his eyebrow that looks like two 'C's back to back.

'So canon begins, hm?'

I smirk slightly as I watch a pink haired idiot get the shit kicked out of him by a bunch of mind controlled nonmagical girls.

I have been in this town for around a month... time flies when you are having fun, hm?

I watch as the man floats up on a massive pillar of pinkish fire, he winks down at the horde of girls.

My eyes are drawn to his hand where I spy two magical rings, one charm, and one sleep.

They are pretty decent... such a shame that I have other priorities.

Tonight... a man dies...

I have planned this day ever since I arrived in this town.

I had planned to enact it after planting dozens of bombs at the other side of the town, but the battle between two fire wizards that level half the town works just as well.

The glass window pops out of the frame as a white paste turns into dust, I manage to catch it before it shatters against the ground ten feet below, my target is asleep on the other side of the room, I creep inside and place the window back into its place, making sure to keep it in place with several castings of the cantrip 'Stick'.

I creep across the room, a small pickaxe looking weapon in hand, the back is thick, short, blunted and dull, but the front is long and pointed, perfect for murdering.

I loom over a sleeping man, he is a balding man with two pointed tufts of green hair on either side of his head, he is fairly old, his face sunken and wrinkly, his nose is pushed inwards and looks more like a pig's nose than a humans', additionally he has massive red lips.

I lift my weapon and look for a spot to aim, my eyes trail over him before I swing the pick downwards, striking him right in the temple.

Besides a small jerk, he doesn't even react at all.

I pull the pick free from the side of his head, cleaning the blood and gore from it with prestidigitation.

'I need to toss this in the ocean.'

I look across the room to see a large glowing line across the top of the walls.

I slowly walk over to a portion of the wall, then slide a small board downwards, turning the magic alarm off and causing the line to dim.

I smirk and nod once.

I had to do a lot of spying to get that knowledge.

I unlock the door and slowly creep down the stairs, before I get into the main room, I pull down another board, deactivating a second alarm.

That one required me to sneak my familiar inside.

I step into the main shop and beam the packed shelves a good-natured smile.

'well, just as much as when I last checked in... well, except for Plue's key... I might as well give Lucy that one, it probably wouldn't sell for all that much.'

Magic crystals line the shelves, a crystal ball sits atop a pillow, magic books line one shelf, and potions of all sort line another. Hung from the ceiling are several magic brooms, a magic lamp, and some weird pink line thing with large orbs around it.

And all of it is mine

I take off my backpack and sit it on the counter, I pick up the first item and grin as I stuff it inside.

I shake my head and with a wave of my hand, a ghostly appendage reaches up and removes a broom from the roof, I grab hold of it and slide the entire thing within the bag, despite the broom being much longer than the backpack is tall.

'I can clear this place out in ten minutes, easy peasy.'

I stand atop a cliff as I watch a large boat smash into the dock.

"Hm. Just like canon." I mutter to myself as everything pauses for a moment. "Well, that's to be expected. I haven't done anything yet... but soon... ohohoho soon."

A screen floats before me.

First Crime:
All evil geniuses need to start somewhere, and it looks like yours is robbing some poor non-mage blind.

Bonus Objective 1:

Bonus Objective 2:
Steal 25% of the items within the store: [x]

Rewards:
550 Electrum, 'Black Market Connections' achievement, +1 to all stats, 1 free magic item of up to 2000 Gp

A smirk appears on my face as I look over the last two rewards, hell, even the last reward would have ABSOLUTELY made this worth it. But the prior two? Man. For these rewards I probably would have even challenged Natsu to a fight.

Black Market Connections:
The gold limit for 'free' items within the shop has increased from 99 GP to 150

Even adding a SINGLE gold piece to my shop limit opens up dozens more options, but an entire fifty one more? There's almost no spell component I can't just zap into my hands.

I watch a purple laser arc across the town, sending an absolutely massive plume of smoke to rocket upwards.

One of the buildings was already smoking, but it's not like anyone will know that after today.

I slowly nod as I turn and begin slowly walking away. 'Next stop, Magnolia.'

I quietly sit within a room, bag sat beside me as I reach in and pull out a small box with a crystal orb on the front.

'ah, the thing from the show.'

I grab onto a scroll and open it, causing the piece of paper to glow brightly as the spell is cast.

Colors Magic: Pocket Dresser: (Caster Level 1)
Functions as the cantrip 'Prestidigitation', yet can only change the color of clothes, due to the much more limited range of usage, instead of the clothes effected changing back after 1 hour, they now revert back to the original after 8 hours. This item can be used 10 times every hour before it is forced to recharge.

'hn. Sell.'

I reach into the bag and quickly pull out the remaining thirteen small boxes and hold out my hands towards them, with a flash they all disappear into the system as the auction box slowly seems to calculate their worth.

*Ping*

A small screen pops up.

Base Auction Price per unit: 5
Auction Method: Staggered One at a Time

Would you like to auction these items? (Yes/No)

I mentally select 'Yes'

These items will be removed from your world entirely. Unique or One-of-a-Kind Items will be lost forever. Are you sure you wish to auction these items? (Yes/No)

I select 'Yes' again.

Adding Auctions to List.

"…"

Of course, the items wouldn't immediately go on auction, there are like half a million of us... possibly millions. Those other dudes are probably clogging the auction with their DXD panties and what not.

I grab the next item and another scroll.

I have spent about a week stockpiling identification scrolls... something that wouldn't have been possible had I not gained the 'black market connections' thing...

Barrier Crystal: (Caster Level 5)
When more than one of these are set up, they create a weak barrier that springs in between the crystals. This barrier is always 10 feet tall, and always has a roof provided more than 2 crystals are used, for every crystal used beyond the first two, the caster level of this shield goes up by 1. no person nor attack may pass through the barrier, magical or otherwise. The barrier has 5 Hp per caster level, damage reduction 5/magic and completely recharges within a day, however if the barrier is broken, the crystals used have a 5% chance of breaking.

'hm...' I hum as I tilt my head, as I look down at the large purple crystal sat upon a sharp silver Pitton, the silvery metal seems to coil around the crystal and has a flat coin-shaped indent at the very top, presumably used to hammer this into tough materials.

These are pretty decent. Five health per caster level, that means at minimum it would have twenty-five health... then there's the damage reduction against nonmagical weapons.

How many of these do I have?

I look in the bag, smiling at the number of them.

Twelve.

I could have a fairly complex shaped barrier with seventy five health if I really needed... that could survive a maximized caster level tenth fireball incredibly easily.

With my current best attack I would have to shoot this thing at minimum five times before it broke, and that's only if I manage to roll max damage each time. I could roll minimum every time and be forced to shoot it nineteen times... which I couldn't do, in complete honesty, I only have four second level spells, but I should probably still sell it... in a world where everyone uses magic, a main aspect of the barrier would be completely useless.

Yeah, I'm going to sell them in a set of twelve.

I drag out the rest and place them into the system as well.

*Ping*

Base Auction Price for a set of 2: 25

It seems like the bare minimum I can do is sell them two at a time... eh, that sort of makes sense. It would be a dick move to only sell them one at a time.

I change it's 'Auction Method' to 'In Bulk' then slowly nod as I watch the price jump up from twenty five to two hundred fifty. It seems I get a small bonus for selling them all at once.

You have gained 11 Electrum.

'oh hey. That's pretty good.'

I pull out an absolutely massive lamp, it is about three feet long, has one handle at the back, and one near the base of the nozzle, frankly it looks like you are supposed to hold it like a minigun.

I grab another identify scroll and use it on the lamp.

Scorching Burner Lamp: (Caster Level 8)
This special magic item can transform pure magic into a myriad of fiery effects. You can use this lamp as a focus for your spells, and may sacrifice them at your leisure. For every spell level you sacrifice, you grant this lamp one charge.
Current charge: 0/5
1 Charge: Kelgore's Firebolt (Caster Level 5)
2 Charges: Scorching Ray (Caster Level 7)
2 Charges: Aganazzar's Scorcher (Caster Level 8)
3 Charges: Fireball (Caster Level 8)
4 Charges: Blast Of Flame (Caster Level 8)

My eyes grow wide as I slowly look over the lamp. 'I... may want to keep this... for a while at least.'

This seems to be the best object in the store, because I distinctly remember there was only one of these in there... which means that those three brooms would be the next most expensive items?

I shove the massive genie lamp flamethrower back into my bag and pull out a broom, then once more a scroll of identification.

Flying Broom: (Caster Level 5)
You may channel magic into this broom to grant you the effects of the 'fly' spell. For every 3 spell levels you grant this broom, it allows you to fly atop it as if you had the 'Fly' spell cast upon you.

'keep one, sell the other two.'

I pull the other two out of the bad and place them in the system.

These items will be removed from your world entirely. Unique or One-of-a-Kind Items will be lost forever. Are you sure you wish to auction these items? (Yes/No)

I select 'Yes' again.

Adding Auctions to List.

I sort of wish it would stop giving me the 'one of a kind items' alert.

I roll my eyes. 'ah well.'

I get an alert from my familiar.

Scary. Red head. Armor. Shiny horn.

'ah. Erza is back... which means tomorrow is when I initiate my plan...

My plan to steal Lullaby... the demon flute of death.

I calmly sit in the corner of the train, quietly glancing over to the blonde girl, red head woman, and black haired dude calmly step out of the train, leaving their unconscious pink haired friend behind.

I gain a small smirk as after a few minutes I feel the train begin moving.

My eyebrow is slightly twitching at the concentration it requires to keep up this illusion of an empty seat.

"Wow... looky here. It's a fairy tail wizard. How's the guild treating you these days? Is it worth stickin around?" I glance over to see a dark haired man kick Natsu in the face.

"Don't act all high and mighty just because you're in a legal guild. Blindly following whatever the magic council tells you. Wanna know what you look like to us? Harmless little flies."

'Dear god. This guy is a fucking idiot. You have the death flute ON YOU. Why are you drawing so much attention to yourself. If it was anyone other than Natsu they would have eviscerated you by now.'

I smirk as I cast a new spell I had gained.

My auctioning had given me enough points to level up once more.

My body becomes completely see-through as I dispel the simple cantrip keeping me hidden.

I stand up and slowly creep closer, walking past the two as I sit across the way from where Natsu is getting a face full of foot.

Natsu's hands light on fire. "You-"

He seems to realize he is still on a train and gags, faceplanting on the floor a moment later.

"Pathetic!" The black haired man scoffs. "Let me show you how it's done!"

I watch as three tendrils of magic shoot out from a magic circle below his feet, arcing upwards and smashing into Natsu's chin.

With my detection magic, that places as a 'weak' aura... so it's below third level spells... but that looks more like a love tap than an actual attack.

The train's breaks slam on, causing the two men standing in the aisle to get thrown to the floor, my eyes lock onto the wooden skull flute that clatters to the floor.

The black haired man shakes his head. "Ugh- shit!"

He sees that the flute is on display.

I stand up, snatching the flute and rush past Natsu's prone form.

"WHAT?!" The man roars as all he can see is a floating flute quickly making its way down the train car, I slip the flute into my coat, causing it to disappear as well.

Three tendrils of shadow shoot towards my back, but Natsu rises to his feet and punches the shadow magic user right in the jaw, unknowingly helping me out.

"WHAT DID YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAID FAIRY TAIL WAS NOTHING MORE THAN FLIES, HUH?!"

I open the train car door and step in between the two train cars, I hop off the train entirely, landing on the magic broom I pull from my back, I then take off like a bullet, flying far away from the track.

I pull out the flute again, and with a mental flick it disappears from the world, into my auction system.

'shame that I couldn't identify what it did.'

Base Auction Price: 7500

'ohohoho HELL YEAH.'

With two mental flicks, I send the flute off into the auction.

'I shake my head. Shame... I didn't get enough from the quest to level up again.'

I'll definitely get enough from the auction, however.

I still need to sell all of the other items I got from the magic shop as well. I've got tons of spell books- which I may keep- and dozens of potions.

I am woken up in the middle of the night by an alert.

You have gained 25700 Electrum

I focus on the screen and let out a low hum. "Huh... shit..."

I calmly take a sip of my drink as I gaze over the massive fairy tail building, dozens of rods made of steel pierce it cleanly.

'Hm. It's about that time, no?'

I shake my head slightly and let out a quiet sigh. 'Sort of a shame that there's no way for me to profit off of this... or is there?'

I scratch my chin at the slowly setting sun.

"Master! The darkened steel dragon stalks the streets!"

My bat familiar's shrieky voice makes itself known via telepathy.

'hm... maybe... y'know what? Fuck it.'

I locate my familiar with a few mental prods, and see that he is actually fairly close.

Pov: elsewhere

"Levy run! We'll hold him off! Get back to the-

"Iron Dragon: Club!"

"Gaaah!"

The blue haired girl flinches as she hears bone crunch, the black haired phantom lord mage's leg turning into a large metal beam and smashing into her friend's face, snapping his head backwards and sending him sprawling onto the pavement.

"Droy!" The orange haired fairy tail mage shouts in rage as a magic circle envelopes his feet, he blurs towards the phantom lord mage, whirling around and kicking towards his chest.

The man slowly raises his arm and smirks as it turns grey.

*CLANG*

There is a cracking sound as the fairy tail mage cringes.

"Geheheh." The enemy mage chuckles as he raises his other hand and punches the speed mage right in the face. "You fairies are pathetic!"

He twists through the air as he falls, landing roughly on the ground, face down.

He looks up lets out a roar. "Levy RUN!"

He is knocked unconscious as a metal fist smashes into the back of his head.

The red-eyed phantom lord mage slowly looks over to the blue haired solid script mage.

The girl's breath catches in her throat as she slowly steps backwards.

"Please run." The mage chuckles. "Geheheh."

The fairy tail mage turns in place and rushes down the street, hyperventilating as she does so, she has to get back to the guild! It's not that late, people still should be there!

Her breath becomes misty as she sprints around the corner of a building, coming out as puffs of steam, she feels the sheer temperature shift and flinches as she smashes face-first into something.

She falls back and stares up at a new figure, he towers above the prone girl as he glances downwards, his red eyes gleaming slightly in the darkness, he has a small perturbed frown, he has brown hair with silver highlights, he wears a sideways black ascot around his neck, dark clothes, and a black hooded cloak around his body.

"Are you alright?" he asks as he crouches down, holding out a hand towards the blue haired girl.

The girl quickly blinks off her shock and quickly shouts out. "Look out! He's after me!"

"Iron Dragon: Club!"

The teen's gaze snaps upwards as his eyes narrow; he holds out a hand-

*CLANG*

He stops the attack that was rocketing towards the back of the girl's head with one hand, the metal bludgeon bends around his fingertips as he shifts his grip.

Everything is silent for a moment. "Who the fuck are you?"

I silently stare at the phantom lord mage, Gajeel.

"Who the fuck are you?" He growls as I let go of his club, he quickly retracts it as I stand back up and step over Levy.

"A traveling mage." I answer evenly, his attack really didn't do that much damage to me... only ten points to my temporary health- which I had a lot of.

Probably due to it being blocked and weakened by my several shielding spells.

"Well, you see, traveling mage." The iron dragon slayer sneers. "I have business with that girl behind you. Step aside or you'll regret it."

"Hm." I hum before gaining a small smirk. "Somehow I doubt that. What are you going to do?"

"Hmph. A tough guy huh?" Gajeel grins. "Well now... I would normally love to stay and kick your ass and make you cry for mercy, but for now? I've only got so much time."

"Boze. Sue." He commands.

Two figures leap down off a nearby rooftop and stand beside the man as I raise an eyebrow.

One is a bald dark-skinned man with sunglasses, the other is a dark skinned girl with short greenish hair, a gem on her forehead, and a purple hat with two little antennas.

"Hm." I hum as a smile slowly creep up onto my face. "Now this might get interesting."

"Blue haired girl. Get lost. You're in the way." I deadpan as I glance behind me.

She flinches at being noticed and shakily gets to her feet and quickly runs away. "I-I'll go get some help! J-just please hang in there!"

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" The iron dragon slayer roars as his feet turn to pillars, he rockets forwards as the other two mages begin casting magic.

I do two things at once, firstly, I grab a folded square of paper and send it rocketing towards the two mages as I cast a cantrip, then I bring out a scroll and cast that, rendering the area around the two mages completely silent, the paper reaches the zone as the first's spell flickers out, a large magic circle appears below me as I cast a third spell.

"Dispel magic: Automatic failure."

The piece of paper glows brightly as it lands in between the two mages.

*FLASH*

There seems to be an absolutely silent pulse of magic that crashes into the two mages, sending them flying in opposite directions, the silence follows the bald teen, as he smashes into a stack of garbage cans, no audible noise leaking out, while the girl smacks into the opposite wall with a dull crack.

The magic circle below me disappears.

With a burst of speed, I blur in front of the dragon slayer and clothesline him, sending him rocketing backwards as I complete my lariat.

He lands with a crouch as he narrows his eyes, he glances back towards his two companions and lets out a growl. "Worthless."

His two companions are both barely conscious, the girl in fact just slipped into unconsciousness.

Gajeel slowly stands up. "You are annoying... I am going to kill you."

"You are welcome to try." I hum as pull out another origami square of paper, across the side, written in texted styled like Nordic runes, are the words 'I Prepared Explosive Runes This Morning.'

It is flung across the short distance as I cast another auto fail dispell magic, Gajeel leaps away from the piece of paper as it explodes, the force carrying him backwards as he lands with another crouch.

He takes a deep breath, cheeks bulging as he cups both hands in front of his face. "Iron dragon... ROOAAAAAAR"

A twisting whirlwind absolutely full of sharp metal shards rockets right for me, but I simple hold out a hand, creating an absolutely massive block of wood, five feet tall, five feet wide, and five feet thick, I am forced to crouch slightly as I am taller than the block itself and I don't feel like eating dozens of sharp metal shards.

The block slides back an inch which is absolutely surprising considering it actually weights two thousand pounds. The whirlwind batters the block for another six seconds before it stops.

I peek out to see Gajeel rocketing forwards as he sings out an arm, transforming it into a large steel blade.

I duck his slash and uppercut him, causing him to let out a small grunt as is other arm transforms into a sword much like the first, he swings his new sword appendages around wildly as I backpedal in short singular steps. His reach is longer than mine, so if this keeps up he will eventually cut me.

I point a finger at him, causing three beams of red to arc from my finger tip and head right for his chest, his eyes widen and he barely crosses the two blades in front of his chest, the beams strike the blade and create three red-hot spots in the metal.

My foot comes up and smashes into his crossed guard, sending him sliding backwards.

I watch as the mage's skin darkens to a sickly grey, his flesh reflects the light of lamps surrounding us.

"I'm finally deemed enough of a threat for you to get serious hm?" I hum with a small smile.

He narrows his eyes as he points a sword arm at me.

"Well, I guess I should take you serious as well..." I state as I flash him a cocky grin, as flick out a scroll, a massive magic circle appears below me, my shoulders slump as my muscles bulge, my hands twitch as I begin steadily growing larger and larger, my fingernails grow to sharp points as my face elongates, grey fur rapidly spreads across my body as my teeth become sharp and canine, two ears sprout from my head as my hair becomes nothing more than a grey mane.

I stand at more than nine feet tall, my muscles bulging, a tail sprouting from my back as my clothes shift slightly to adapt to my new form.

I let out a howl that rattles the surrounding area as the dragon slayer's eyes widen, before he lets out a low chuckle. "Ghehehe."

He assumes my added bulk made me slower. And normally he'd be right...

I blur across the short distance between us as his eyes widen, he slashes both arms in front of him as I leap, landing on the side of a lamp post which snaps like a twig under my new weight and momentum as I leap off it.

He barely has time to turn as I grab onto his face with one of my large hands, I pick him up and let go, his momentum carrying him upwards about five feet as I grab onto his ankle, he lands a weak slash on my chest, one that doesn't even break the skin due to the lack of force behind it, I slam him onto the ground as hard as I can, cracking the pavement and creating a large crater as I do it thrice more. I whirl around and hurl him down the street as dash after him, catching up with him before he can crash into the far side and slashing him across the chest, tearing his leather vest and cutting a set of four thin scratches in his metallic skin as the force of the attack makes him do an impromptu barrel roll.

'hn. He probably barely felt my little Broly impression.'

I grab onto his head and smash him face first into the ground, I then drag him beside me as I get onto all fours and rush down another street, carving an absolutely massive trench in our wake.

I swing Gajeel upwards and hurl him into the sky.

I hold out a hand as a large magic circle appears before me, three more beams shoot from it, each fiery orange in color, but they are slightly larger than before, each smacks into the dragon slayer and carries him higher, I do it once more before I look up at him with a satisfied wolfish smirk.

He crashes to the earth about one hundred feet away moments after I raise a hand, crashing through a stall and bouncing slightly against the pavement, he lets out a wheeze as his nonmetallic back smashes into the earth, green lines of energy writhe throughout him as he lets out a hiss, I slowly approach as my 'Bite of the werewolf' and 'Enlarge Person' spells dissipate, my clothes shifting to fit my humanoid form snugly, I place my hands in my pockets and smirk down at the dragon slayer.

"What did you do to me?!" He growls as he is surprisingly still alive and still conscious.

This motherfucker just fell more than fifty feet without any sort of magical protection- due to a timely dispelling- and had taken two negative levels from my scorching rays.

My eyes trail the tendrils of sickly green magic as I gain a small sly smirk. "It's simple... fuck you."

There is a loud clang, causing me to glance to the side, standing there is a red-haired woman with skimpily made armor that has four large wings, dozens of swords styled after the armor floats around her.

I let out a low hum and gesture towards the prone phantom lord mage. "Are you with him?"

"No. I am not." She states giving the prone man a glare. "I am here to assist you, but it seems like it won't be needed."

"No, no it won't." I agree with a slow nod.

I point a finger at Gajeel's face as I hear the broken cart shifting slightly, a rune appearing at my fingertips that slowly rotates.

I glance down at him and smirk. "By all means... if you like dying, try to escape again."

His red eyes narrow at me as he scowls at me.

"If you will allow me." The woman states as she walks over, footsteps clanking with every step.

She requips a pair of handcuffs. "These are anti-magic cuffs... designed to hold magical criminals..."

She stops before Gajeel.

"…"

*CLANG*

She slams the handcuffs into his face, causing him to let out a grunt.

"…"

"Oops. I seem to have missed your wrists. I am just oh so blind with rage that an insignificant insect like you would harm my family."

"…"

"Hm."

The woman turns to look at me and bows her head. "Thank you for helping Levy... who knows what this bastard would have done to Jet, Droy, and her if you weren't here."

"Master Makarov wants to thank you himself. He's at the guild hall, I know you aren't a part of our guild, and the master's wants or words have no hold over you, but please."

"Hm. Alright." I shrug as I turn and begin walking in the direction of the destroyed fairy tail guild hall.

At least she doesn't see my satisfied smirk as I continue onwards.

I strut into the destroyed building's cellar with a purpose, I spy a hunched old gentleman about three feet tall wearing an orange and white jester uniform, quietly fuming down at the table.

*Ahem.* I cough, gaining his attention.

"What can I do for- oh... you are the one who took care of my children hm?" He seems to look me up in down. "You're quite powerful for your age."

"Being unaffiliated with any guild means certain guilds, legal or not, feel like they are better than me and will try fight me sometimes, so it helps to be strong when you have nobody who has got your back." I shrug with a small smile as I take a seat across from the old man.

"So, Fairy Tail's going to war, hm?" I ask with a small smile.

"It is..." He growls before he seemingly remembers what I have done. "Where are my manners?!"

He bows his head at me. "Thank you... from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for protecting even one of my children."

'maybe I can play it off like this.'

I hold up a hand. "Don't thank me. It was never my intention to help her. That other guy just pissed me off. Simple as that."

The old man gives me a sly smirk. "Ah, I see, so you are that type, hm? I've seen your kind before. Still. Thank you."

"I'm sorry if that guy pissed me off earlier, maybe the other two could have benifited from my actions as well." I frown as I look over to a group of fairy tail mages fuming.

"You have done enough, lad, they were just shaken up a bit... who knows how badly they'd be hurt if that little shit had been allowed all the time he wanted to torment them."

I frown and glance downwards, letting out a low hum as I stare at the table.

"Well, seeing as how I am mildly irked at phantom lord at the moment, I feel like I should help you all out. I'm something of a traveling salesman... and I have quite a few wares of the... explosive variety... I'll give you some, and we'll call it even if you use them on those phantom lord bastards."

"This is not your fight, lad." The man sighs.

"It became my fight when one of their S class mages tried to murder me." I smile as I sit my backpack on the stool beside me.

I reach inside and pull out a large crate and place it on the table. "Boom. Here's some non-magical grenades."

I pull out a book next, and give it a hard look before placing it back in the bag. "Yeah, not giving you that. That's my 'oh fuck. A dragon' weapon. Also it may or may not be capable of wiping out a small town, haven't exactly tested it yet."

I frown and cup my chin. "Hn... this is all I can give you."

I scratch my chin and let out a low hum. "I guess I can also give you a couple useful rumors I have heard. These are actually confidential, and like, I probably shouldn't know these, but hey, they attacked me first, so I might as well mess with them as much as possible."

Makarov raises an eyebrow at me as he glances to the box off explosives. "Any help would be appreciated. We are in your debt."

I raise a finger. "Firstly, sort of common knowledge, but Phantom Lord has five 'S Class' mages, the first is Gajeel, the iron dragon slayer, and the other four are a couple of schmucks called the 'Element Four'. The first, is a pyromancer who uses rainbow fire, bit of an arrogant prick, but not all that bad of a dude, the second is a depressed woman made literally out of water, it rains when she is sad and she is always sad due to people not liking the rain- and by extension her, not a bad person at all, probably the one who has committed the least atrocities within the phantom lord guild, then you have the fucked up ones, the earth mage takes pleasure in using the memories of his foes to his advantage, brutalizing them and mocking them as he does so, and from what I have heard, his ultimate spell locks someone in eternal suffering, forcing them to re-live their worst moments over and over as their bodies are turned to stone... and finally the most dangerous, air guy, he can disperse a person's magical power completely. Practically killing them."

"Second. Phantom lord's actual base of operations is a massive robot spider that has a cannon capable of leveling cities, said robot spider can transform into a golem capable of casting abyss break at massive scale, with the element four being the power sources to the spell."

I hold up a third finger. "And finally, the excuse they are using to start this guild war, a man named Jude Heartfilia put out a quest to return his daughter home."

The man narrows his eyes at the last statement. "This is... troubling. I was unaware that phantom lord had such firepower at their disposal."

"Allow me to predict what might happen in the coming day, the attack on your members was to make all of you incredibly angry, kicking the proverbial hornet's nest as it were, causing you to gather your members and blindly rush towards their building in Oaktown, you bust in there, blow shit up, and you rush to go confront- what's his name- man to man, guild master to guild master, but uh-oh, it was a trap, and the air element four scatters your magical container, leaving you for dead. Fairy tail retreats back to the city of Magnolia with their tails between their legs as phantom lord marches up with their massive death building."

"After that." I smile. "Who knows what happens. It's likely none of this will actually happen, but it would make since for them to take out their biggest threat- you- immediately and permanently. And seeing as how I doubt any of them would actually be able to kill you, well, this is basically the only way. So watch out for... Aria I think his name was?"

I stand up slowly and nod once. "Anyways, I feel like I have meddled enough, I hope you win."

I pick up my backpack and put it on and give the old man a nod, then begin walking towards the cell door.

"Can I have your name, lad?" He asks.

I glance back. "It's Ern. Ern Marrow."

I smirk as I sit back in my room. 'Well, that gave Fairy Tail a good impression of me, now if it ever came to a situation of someone figuring out my evil nonsense, fairy tail would be more inclined to believe me over them.

I'm seen as a 'good guy'.

Now I just need to pump my Dcs higher for when I get ninth level spells.

Play nice. Get to level eighteen. Be vampire lord. Gain mind rape spell. Make subtle changes to memories that make them slowly loyal to me.

That's literally what the spell is called by the way.

I tilt my head. 'but what then?'

I pull out a mostly blank book and draw some more explosive runes in the pages.

After completing seven more pages I nod once and slip the book back into my bag.

I should probably get started on my army-

I pause as I look through the dozens of magic books in my bag.

'or... I could do this.'

My hand glows briefly as I cast a spell and bring out the large stack, I touch the cover of one and flinch as knowledge makes itself known.

Oh my god... this spell is so fucking overpowered.

Scholar's Touch: (Level 1 Spell) (Divination)
With this spell you can touch a book or scroll and absorb the knowledge contained within as if you had just read it. This is equivalent to a solid reading but not deep study the character does not gain perfect recall of the information, just whatever he would have gotten from reading it completely once. If you can't read the language of the source, the spell has no effect

Sort of weak in game, but the sheer possibilities with it in 'real life' is astounding.

I reach over and touch another book, this one teaching about basic fire magic.

I can do this an unlimited number of times for the next sixty seconds or so, by the way.

I reach over and touch another book, then another, then another.

'how many of these do I have?'

An achievement has been gained:

Studious Mage:
Read 5 magic books despite them having no effect on your spellcasting.
Rewards: +1 Additional Level 1 and Level 2 Spell Added to Your Spell List.

A grin splits my face as I read over the achievement.

The main flaw of a sorcerer is their lack of options when it comes to spellcasting... they can cast one thing or a handful of things really well and at a moment's notice, wizards have basically endless spell books, and get spells early, but sorcerers with no stats can cast spells twice more than they can. A wizard maxes out at four base spells per day per level of spell, the sorcerer maxes out at six. There's also the flaw that the wizard has to actually prepare what he wants to cast that day, unlike the sorcerer's I need that now so I'll cast it now' approach.

So while a Wizard could currently have around six or seven fifth level spells right now, yet only be able to cast two of them- plus maybe more if they have a high casting statistic-, I only have one fifth level spell that I can cast four times.

An achievement has been gained:

Studious Mage II:
Read 25 magic books despite them having no effect on your spellcasting.
Rewards: +1 Additional Level 3 and Level 4 Spell Added to Your Spell List, +10 Free Skill Points

'Well. This changes things...'

Studious Mage III:
Read 50 magic books despite them having no effect on your spellcasting.
Rewards: +1 Additional Level 5 and Level 6 Spell Added to Your Spell List, +1 Int, +15 Free Skill Points

I had burned through all of my stolen magic books for these three achievements, and yes, sadly, I won't be able to do anything with this knowledge, any time soon... theoretically, it might be possible for me to learn Earthland magic, but that takes time... a lot of time...

Maybe it's something I can do once I before functionally immortal and during the seven-year time skip coming up.

I quickly scan through my character sheet.

Ern Marrow:

Name: Ern Marrow

Stats:

I let out a small hum as I quickly allocate my new spells.

'let's see here, let's grab Ray of Clumsiness for the first level, Locate Object for second, Alter Fortune for third, and Explosive Cascade for fourth.

Finally Teleport for my fifth le-

Please Select a 6th level spell.

"…"

Level 6 Spells 1/1

'w-what?'

So, apparently my system allows me to cast sixth level spells despite not gaining access to them for another two levels... I think I have figured out what happened. Due to that one achievement, I got, I gained a free sixth level spell etched into my spell book, technically granting me the ability to 'cast' spells of sixth level, now, I don't physically gain any 'casts' of sixth level spells until twelfth level, yet due to my insane casting stat of twenty-seven, I get bonus spells. Two additional first, second, third and fourth level spells, and one fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth... if I accomplish the next level of 'studious mage' I predict I might be able to cast even seventh and eighth level spells.

I sit in a library as I cast my next spell, a small magic circle is being sketched on the back of my hand, so far, there's a sliver about a sixteenth of the way around.

It'll take another like six and a half before that is complete, nor can I do any 'strenuous actions' beyond casting this spell, but when it's done, It'll basically give me some 'lore' about the object in question I am studying, this only really effects 'legends', also known as incredibly powerful objects that or people- but the object in question that I am looking for definitely falls into that category.

If I grab a hold of it, and sell it, I'll more than likely be able to progress straight into my vampire lord status... because after all...

Immortality is hard to come by.

I read the newspaper with a small smile.

"Fairy Tail crushes Phantom Lord completely and utterly after an assault on their mages. Phantom Lord Legally Disbanded."

Hell, Phantom lord didn't even get to use their giant robot.

Sad.

The train slides to a halt with a hiss of steam, causing me to stand up and fold up the newspaper under my arm.

I glance to the forming magic circle on the back of my hand with a frown. I don't even think I need this anymore. I had to dispel it a couple hours ago when I had to fight off some phantom lord mages.

I absolutely abused the fuck out of fairy tail's sudden declaration of war. According to the magic council handbook I read in six seconds, all assets of a guild disbanded by the magic council is legally property of the magic council. It's a shame that there won't be any assets when they eventually find that husk of a golem.

Sadly, I couldn't sell the entire thing in one go, but I did sell quite a few pretties, the magic lights, the lacrimas powering said magic lights, the appliances, all four of the large spider legs as those turned out to be massive hunks of adamantine, and every single magical book within the guild's libraries... provided that they didn't look useful... I kept the ones that looked useful.

Looks like Makarov took my advice. He kicked Aria's ass and beat down every single mage in his way... they even took Lucy with them, rendering Sol and Juvia practically useless, they apparently called Jose, letting him know the situation, and he was forced to teleport over to the phantom lord building, as Fairy Tail had practically beaten everyone there at that point. He then got hit by a Fairy Law.

Meaning the main phantom lord building was practically untouched and everyone was gone when I walked in.

Of course, a couple phantom lord mages came back while I was scrapping it, they apparently abandoned the rest, decided to try and make as much profit as they could, and came to ransack the phantom lord building.

Sadly, I already called dibs. So, I simply turned invisible before they saw me, locked them in a large stone cube, and blew them the fuck up with 'Explosive Cascade'

Honestly, the adamantine legs are what sold for the most...

And I have already reached my goal... a single leg has like, ten thousand electrum worth of adamantine.

I think I have reached my goal, at least...

If not, I do have the Jupiter cannon stored within the system, ready to be sold at a moment's notice.

I experimented a little bit, and apparently, I can carry objects in my system as long as I don't close the window or click 'accept' when I have it in the auction panel, and when I stop trying to sell it and select 'no' the item in question pops out of my inventory nearby.

I glance to the forty five thousand electrum sitting in my bank.

'ugh. That probably won't be enough.'

I mentally select 'yes', selling the Jupiter cannon off to the many other DICE users out in the world.

All that remains for my transformation is to find a nice dark space to stay for a couple days.

It is incredible that I have managed to nearly reach my goal after these two short months I have been here... but I am still far too weak. With my current strength, with my detect magic spell I was able to determine I was barely a rival for Erza... and that is unacceptable.

With my current strength.

Who knows if that will change once I ascend to vampire lord status.

Oh right... I forgot about needing ten spawn and surviving an assassination attempt.

I let out a low hum and shrug. 'ah well, let's take a swift trip to Hargeon, vamp some people, then ascend to my next state of being.'

I sit up a table as I stare down at a twitching corpse, a little boy, about five years old has an almost lifeless expression as he stares blankly down at the dead body.

I prop my head up and let out a small huff, my fangs glint in the darkness as I run a hand through my glossy brown hair

The corpses eyes snap open, his eyes are blood red with slitted pupils, much like my own.

He slowly sits up, causing the boy to flinch. "D-Dad? You're alive?!"

His eyes slowly look around the room before locking with mine.

My smirk grows as I gesture to the boy. "Kill him."

His arm lashes out, long fingernails sinking into the boy's throat as his body is flung backwards.

Tears drip from the boy's eyes as I smirk. "You are released from my control..."

The man flinches, looks around, locking onto the prone form of his child, he blurs over to his and kneels beside him. "Tommy! Oh my god! Wh-"

He freezes, head slowly and almost robotically turning towards me, burning rage radiates from him as his eyes narrow, his pupils reducing to slits. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOUUUUU!"

He lets out a feral roar and lunges for me-

I hold out a hand towards him, creating a magic circle that launches three beams at him, they strike head on, the first two reducing him to nothing but dust, and the final striking the far wall, causing a few superheated embers to appear at the base.

I let out a low hum as I mentally purchase something, my body glows briefly as I stand up, muscles becoming much more defined, but very much so keeping an athletic, almost athletic swimmer's build... I walk across the room as I look down at the bleeding out boy.

An achievement has been completed:

'I'll check it later.'

"This world is nothing but a simple play for me, and that means nothing is more heart wrenching than a boy with a traumatic backstory out for revenge." I slowly state as I point a finger down at him. "I am a firm believer in... no witnesses. No revenge plots. No chance of survival."

I lower my finger and smirk, two crossbow bolts float out a quiver and stab into the boy's throat and chest.

"Have to be careful, of course, if I punch you to death, you'd turn as well."

I pause. "Wait... didn't your father kill you with a slam attack? reasonably you should be turning as well. hn. well, it looks like this building is going to have to burn more violently than I expected."

The bolts pull back and clean themselves of blood, then simply float back into my quiver.

I float slightly above the ground with my newfound telekinesis, then coat the floor in grease with a scroll, it immediately ignites, turning the surrounding floor into a burning inferno.

I wordlessly teleport away.

I reappear floating above a metallic tower with a smirk, a plume of fire shoots out the side of it.

It looks as if dozens of pipes have coiled around a sort of center spire, and within it... is something that I need.

Or rather, someone.

With another teleport I appear within the building, the room is styled much like a Japanese bridge, pink cherry blossoms drift down from the ceiling, the room is thoroughly destroyed, a woman lays in a pool of her own blood staring up at the ceiling, she has pink hair, wears Japanese geta, and a loose-fitting kimono.

Her hair is long and pink, the same shade as the falling petals, she has a beauty mark under each eye.

I slowly walk over and look down at her.

Her green eyes slowly look to me. "Another Fairy Tail wizard? here to look upon the defeated?"

"No... I am not affiliated with any guild, currently."

"Oh?" She mutters, blood seeping from the corner of her mouth. "Well, you will die among them. Etherion strikes within ten minutes. It will kill us all."

She stares up at the ceiling once more, the corners of her mouth turning upwards. "Truly a fitting end."

"Would you like a second chance?" I slowly ask.

"Pardon?" She mutters, eyes slowly returning to me.

"Would you like another chance at life?" I repeat.

A small smile appears on her face. "Is this one of those 'you can be redeemed' speeches, because I might just kill myself faster if it is."

I let out a huff of amusement. "No... people like us deserve no redemption."

"Like us?" She echoes.

"Murderers, thieves. People who do not blink at killing to get what they want." I elaborate.

"Ah I see, you are requesting an alliance." The girl mutters, brief moments of life returning to her eyes.

"Indeed." I slowly nod. "Here you lie, defeated, bloody and dying... yet with me, you will become stronger, faster, more durable, and gain eternal life, but above all else, live beyond today... all it costs... is your humanity."

"I have no humanity left." The woman whispers. "I am a monster in human flesh."

"If you agree... you will indeed become that." I smirk. "To tell you the truth, your compliance isn't necessary a factor... I can- and will- be doing what I plan to do to you whether you agree to it or not... one just grants you slightly more freedom than the other."

The woman lets out a small hiss and winces as I cross my arms and smirk down at her. "So... what will it be."

"I suppose I might as well join you." The woman mutters. "May I get revenge on the S Class mage that put me in this position?"

"No, sadly not." I sigh as I shake my head. "She is still needed for the future... and I have personally seen what happens when you harm a Fairy Tail member, it's like kicking a hornet's nest... nobody wins. Especially not us, god like powers be damned."

"hm." The woman mutters. "I assume you will be freeing us from this tower before we are both slain?"

I reach down towards her and grab her shoulder, then with a flash we are no longer in the tower of heaven.

I look down at her as she bleeds on the floor of the nearly pitch black stone room, my red eyes glow in the darkness as I stare down at her I see her eyes widen briefly.

"Now..." I lowly hiss. "I want you to think... happy thoughts."

I bite on my thumb and drip blood on her face.

She flinches with each drop.

"What are you-" she begins, only for a drop to slip past her lips.

"Alright good." I cut off "You've drunk some of my blood, now for the fun part."

"W-What?" She asks as I sit her up.

"Oh, right... you can't see." I mutter as I look around the room, in the corner is a single coffin. "Ah well, I don't have any light spells prepared, but you'll gain night vision soon enough."

I sit her up roughly, causing her to let out a pained hiss as I tilt her head to the side.

"W-What are you doing?!" She whispers in quiet panic.

"I'm going to drink all of your blood."

"T-That would kill me!" She gasps.

"It would..." I agree with a small nod. "But you'll rise again in one to four days. Far better than your current form."

"…"

"I'm taking your silence as consent." I whisper into her ear before my mouth reaches her neck.

*SPRT-*

"KYAAA!"

I watch the pink haired woman let out a quiet groan and slowly sit up, hand brought up to her head. "Where-"

Her eyes widen as she hops to her feet and gains a considerable distance from me with one simple hop.

I smile at her from where I am sat on a coffin. "Welcome back to the land of the unliving."

She freezes and slowly looks down at her hands.

"W-"

"You are a vampire now, congratulations, you are my first 'spawn'." I announce slowly as her gleaming red eyes look up and lock with mine.

"Vampire?" She questions. "You mean those S class monsters that are destroyed on contact with sunlight?! The ones that need blood to survive?!"

"The very same." I nod.

Her eyes widen immensely as she looks over me. "B-But you're not hideous! And you aren't using any magic to change your appearance! O-Oh gods! What do I look like now?!"

I slowly blink. "Pardon?"

"Everyone knows that vampires are pale and horrid monsters with long ears and hideous appearances!"

"…"

I quietly stare at her as I cup my chin. "Hn. Well. You're wrong. And to answer your question, you look exactly the same as you did when you were human, not you just have fangs, red eyes, and your skin tone is slightly lighter."

"What you are thinking of, is a nosferatu... feral vampires... I am a real vampire... if I had to make a comparison, it would be like trying to compare Vulcans- those hairy ape things- to humans. They can both speak, use magic, have apposable thumbs, and can think coherent thoughts... yet a Vulcan isn't a human, is it?"

I point to the woman. "You work for me now. I granted you a new life when you would have surely perished, granted you extraordinary abilities, and even eternal youth. Now you must serve me in your second life."

She takes a step back as she slowly feels around her face, she lets out a quiet sigh of relief now that she can see she isn't completely deformed.

"I see. I suppose this is acceptable. I did more or less ask for this." She nods once. "May I get your name? It would be beneficial to know the name of my... master, is it?"

"Ern. Ern Marrow."

The woman bows her head at me. "My name is Ikaruga, master."

"I am glad that we could reach an understanding." I smile as I get up slowly walk towards her. "It is night, so let us walk and talk, we can return here when the sun is about to rise. Also, you can just call me 'Ern'."

The woman slowly begins to walk behind me as I explain the basics of vampirism.

"In vampire society, spawns, much like yourself, are primarily created for two reasons, the first, a desire for cohorts and companions- or rather, minions- capable of surviving longer than a few decades, or for lust... you are in the first category, but you are pleasant to look at, so who knows."

"I suppose I should talk about your new abilities, yes? These are practically the only reason you joined me so I might as well~ firstly, you are far stronger, faster, and charismatic than the average human. If before, you were a five out of ten appearance wise, you're now about an eight or a nine. Next is your flesh, much more durable than a humans' you will resist nonmagical weapons making it near impossible for a non-mage to harm you, and even with them it might put up some resistance."

I pause in front of a large stone slab, I push it out of the way and calmly float upwards, landing atop a raised piece of stone for the bunker I was just in.

I reach downwards and allow the woman, Ikaruga, to grab my hand and get pulled up. "Thirdly, you have incredible healing capabilities. You'll be able to regenerate wounds that would kill a normal human in moments. The crippling and mortal wound that woman inflicted onto you would be nothing more than a temporary inconvenience as you are now. Perhaps taking you out of the fight for sixty- nay- fifty seconds at most."

"Next, you are slightly resistant to electrical shocks and the cold, considering you are now dead... mental magics will no longer work on you, you do not need to sleep, eat human food, breathe, and you are even completely immune to disease."

"Additionally, death magic will no longer work on you." I add on as an afterthought. "Being 'Dead' has its downsides, however, healing magic is now harmful to us."

I pause as I glance back to her. "Also, your ovaries somehow still work despite being dead, so don't go sleeping around thinking you'll be fine just because you're dead. And before you ask. It's just magic. Go with it."

She interjects as we continue quietly walking throughout the darkened forest. "How... do you know that?"

"I'm a second-generation vampire that was born from two other vampires- the human looking ones, not the pale gremlin things. Additionally, dhampirs exist... half human, half vampire. Typically made from a male vampire deciding to rape women and let them live, but it's also possible for female vampires to hook up with humans."

"…" she is silent for a moment. "I... see."

"Being a vampire grants several fun abilities as well. You can use charm magic by gazing into someone's eyes, you can turn into a gas at will, you can transform into a myriad of animals, summon a pack of beasts to do your bidding, and can walk upon walls or ceilings as if they were solid ground." I glance back and give a 'kind' smile. "All these benefits are really worth the weaknesses that come with them."

"Oh." The woman mutters, "The sunlight?"

"One of many, I'm afraid." I sigh. "You see, Sunlight is the biggest, followed shortly by running water, you cannot cross rivers on your own and have to be carried across, additionally if you are submerged, you will die almost as fast as if you were just in sunlight. Then there's the flaw that you can't enter a private building without permission- yet public ones such as shops, town halls, and restaurants are free game. You will have to try and trick people into welcoming you inside. Next are people presenting holy symbols... the gods don't really like us preying on their worshipers, so we are unable to approach anyone actively holding out a holy symbol. Finally, a wooden stake to the heart kills us... until it is removed... where we will promptly reanimate unless our body has been destroyed."

"What about garlic" she questions. "I heard myths that vampires couldn't stand garlic."

"A complete myth." I scoff. "Garlic thins the blood so it is easier to drink."

"I see." She mutters as we come to a stop on a hill overlooking a small village.

I gesture towards the village. "Well, why don't we find you a decent meal?"

My pink haired companion looks to a ring on her finger as she uncomfortably casts a glance towards the sun beating down on the two of us, she is cloaked in slight darkness, the sun bending around her as I calmly sit out in the daylight, sipping a red drink of unknown origin.

It's blood. If you really couldn't tell.

"May I ask what we are doing today?" The girl across from me slowly asks.

"it is quite simple." I answer, my mouth not even slightly moving as I use my telepathy to converse with my spawn. "We, single handedly, are going to slay the dark guild known as the Oración Seis."

The woman across from me is utterly silent for a moment. "Ambitious."

*This is where i stopped writing*

This is all I have written of this so far, yet another d&d fic for the trash bin, I was looking over the recent fairy tail 100 year quest chapters and I thought to myself 'fuck... someone evil with meta knowledge could really demolish this world if they wanted to', so I made this, someone who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty if it means getting what he wants.

Anyways, this is probably the last variant I'll do of this sort of 'Dice' system, I hope you all enjoyed my first legitimately evil character!
