I duck under an arrow, a long breath escaping my lips as I draw my blade, with a quick flourish, three rapidly approaching short furry goblin things with masks, gain deep wounds, two die on the spot, while the third barely survives.

I step past and slam my pommel onto the back of its head, knocking it forwards and sending it to the floor where it lays motionless.

I run a hand through my short brown hair and let out a small sigh.

These things are about as durable as papier mache.

My blade slides into its sheath as I narrow my eyes at another strange goblin thing quickly loading a crossbow bolt into his crossbow, my blade slashes out, a moment later it returns to its sheathe, and in the distance, I see the goblin thing split in half.

I didn't think this new world would have these weird... things. Good thing I chose a combat class instead of an NPC one.

I wordlessly lash out with another slash, the tip of my blade just barely scratching against the arm of the strange dark skinned goblin thing lunging for me.

Its entire arm gets cleaved off, followed shortly by its head with a second slash as I continue slowly walking.

I close my eyes and let out a slow breath, then open them a moment later with a small smile.

Another pack defeated.

You might be wondering how I got myself in this situation... it seemed like not even yesterday I was going to bed in my room...

Oh wait... it was yesterday...

I woke up about two hours ago in some sort of dungeon with a special power.

I'm like a D&D character... but instead of accumulating experience points, I gain electrum... electrum is a fun currency that allows me to purchase items, levels, feats, stat points, and more... hell, it even lets me buy special benefits like 'Maximum Health per Level' or 'Spellcasting'.

You know... these things look really familiar...

I crouch down beside one and narrow my eyes.

Black skin, three toes, extremely harry torso... or is that some sort of tribal clothing... they wear a short leather tunic over their lower half, have forearm and shin guards... on its face is a white bone-like mask with two horns pointed upwards, and painted on the front is a strange yellow symbol.

Two black horn-ear things poke out from the fur on its top half, most of them were wielding nothing but clubs, but the one in the back had a crossbow.

I cup my chin. "Wait..."

"Hili...churls?"

I'm in the world of Genshin Impact.

Fuuuuuuck.

Damn that Gacha game. Why was the only five star I ever got a fucking sword?! And not even a good looking one at that!

I shake my head. 'Well... I better just live in this world to the best of my ability. There's bound to be dozens of profits to be made.'

I glance to the side.

"Oh sweet! The shop cooldown is finished!"

I hold out a hand causing two beads of metal to appear, the first, larger than the second, and a silvery almost white metal, roughly twice the size of my thumbnail, the second, a darker silvery metal with an almost purple tint.

I'll be collecting these for the next several months...

Adamantine and Mithral. Materials that are worth hundred upon hundreds of gold...

Provided there is a fairly substantial amount of it.

My little shop system allows me to purchase ninety-nine gold's worth of stuff every hour... a single bullet sized piece of Adamantine is worth about fifty, and a single bullet of Mithral is worth about thirty... buuut I can get one that's a third larger for a little more gold.

I open a sack at my waist and put the two metal balls within, they are the first of many I plan to stuff within this sack.

You see, I chose a fairly obscure class that lets me do 'Martial maneuvers' which are basically just martial art spells.

Name: Chris Shade

Level: 4

Class: Stalker (Vigilante/Bushi Archetypes)

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Stats:

Hp: 35/35

Armor Class: 20

STR: 16
DEX: 18
CON: 16
INT: 16
WIS: 12
CHA: 12

I rolled pretty good on my stats... then I spent a couple of electrum to bring my stats up to nice even numbers. A seventeen to an eighteen, and a fifteen to a sixteen.

The shop is a wondrous thing... it allows me to buy almost anything with electrum.

Right now, it's keyed to my preferred system, first edition Pathfinder, buuuut Pathfinder is almost exactly like d&d third edition, so I could probably take a couple things from there... considering my main type of damage is sword drawing techniques, maybe the 'Iaijitsu focus' skill from there would be pretty nice. That'd increase my damage quite a bit.

I shift my backpack slightly and let out a small sigh. 'oh well. I wonder what sort of mischief I can get up to.'

"TOMOOOO-" *SLASH*

My blade cleaves through the head of a hilichurl as I grin. 'and that's fifty!'

It has been about a month since I have come to this world... not much has changed... I leveled up again, and that was nice.

I wordlessly allocate the free feat to 'Create Magical Arms and Armor'.

Normally I wouldn't be able to take this, buuut for my level five feat I took 'Master Craftsman', which allows me to use my craft check as the caster level requirement for the feat.

A shadow passes overhead.

"…"

I look up to see a purple dragon flying overhead, it passes over me, then dives towards the ground about a mile away.

Ursa The Drake:
A certain drake has been harassing Mondstat for several years, much like its ancestors before it, it is currently destroying a caravan nearby, you should help them! Who knows what sort of goodies they might offer their savior!
Objective:
Drive off Ursa The Drake: [ ]
Rewards: 2000 Electrum, 1 free Feat

'Another free feat?'

I activate one of my new maneuvers, manipulating the way time flows around me.

I blast off at incredible speed, weaving through the forest at rapid pace.

After a minute or two of running I stop abruptly, sliding to a halt as I crouch, I draw my blade and enter a stance... I slowly coat it with a poison that I slowly accumulated over the course of a day a while back... all in small doses, not enough to even slightly poison someone. But with it all gathered like this? This is a lethal dose.

I close my eyes and focus as I creep closer to the sounds of combat.

I peer out of the bushes to see a dragon, roughly twenty to thirty feet tall, and double that long, killing guards with lazy- but sadistic- motions... like how a child might burn ants with a magnifying glass.

I enter another stance and clench my poisoned blade as I put on a mask that was attached to my hip, it is nothing special, just a solid black feature-less mask, lacking even eye holes.

'let's do this.'

The mask actually does have eyes, it's just that the surface is covered in a thin film of dark cloth, this allows me to peer through it, but everyone else just sees a solid surface.

I pull up my hood.

I lunge from the bushes as I dive for the dragon's side, an orange haired teen seems to be distracting it at the moment as fire spews from the blade he is holding in two hands.

'an opening.'

The dragon doesn't even seem aware of my presence as I slide to a halt beside it, blade arced back in a stabbing motion.

I jab the katana forwards as the teen widens his eyes, the blade slides in between the large dragon's scales, slipping all the way up to the hilt.

I grin as the dragon's head snaps around, a snarl of pain echoing from its throat.

It is slightly slower than it would normally be... it looks like first the poison is working.

I leap back, leaving my weapon in the dragon's side, narrowly avoiding Ursa's snapping jaws.

It is still incredibly fast. Even as a dragon which is known to have a shitty dex stat... I would have died if I wasn't hasted right there.

"one..." I begin whispering under my breath as I draw a throwing knife from my belt.

The dragon lets out a roar as electricity crackles around its maw.

I cartwheel to the side, avoiding the bolt of lightning that arcs off into the forest behind me, causing several trees to fall, and a plume of smoke to rise.

I take a step forward as the dagger gains a menacing sheen, my arm pulled back.

My arm moves forwards, the hilt of the throwing knife leaving my fingers-

Just as it leaves my grasp, it launches forwards at high speed, like a bullet fired from a gun, it whirls through the air as the dragon flips its wings in front of it, attempting to block the attack that is aimed for its eye, the dagger pierces through the weak membrane of its wing and skids off its scaley hide, just barely scraping past its brow and bouncing off its horn.

"HEHEHEH" I cackle with a grin behind my mask, ignoring my mostly child-like twelve year old voice. "You are a threat to Mondstadt?! YOU?! PATHETIC!"

"Eight. Nine. Ten." I count as I whirl around, quickly refreshing my spent maneuvers and rushing diagonally as the dragon completely ignores its original targets and lunges through the air, I can feel a massive clawed foot smash into the ground right behind me as I continue sprinting forwards.

I abruptly shift directions, sliding to a halt and sending a spray of grass and dirt forwards as my momentum stops, I dart to the side just as the dragon's body carves a trench in the earth.

Another dagger is pulled to my hand and launched at the large beast, this one smacks into its open side but skims off the scales, doing no damage as it falls to the ground.

"Twenty five. Twenty Six. Twenty Seven." I continue counting aloud as I the muscles in my legs tense.

I leap onto the side of a tree, this with inhuman reaction speed I use the trunk as a stepping stool to jump again, the second jump catapulting me away from the dragon that smashes into the tree.

A large crescent wave of fire smashes into the dragon's side, causing it to let out a roar of pain as it snaps its head over to the aristocratic looking teen.

I take this opportunity to turn around and jab a dagger right into its forearm, its ankles begin shaking slightly.

'The poison of the Steel Serpent school does half... even if you do successfully resist it...'

The dragon's jaws snap downwards to me, but the knife I was holding is hurled up into its eye, causing it to let out a violent shriek of pain as it staggers backwards, it shakes its head, eventually slinging the dagger free, it glares down at me, an eye clenched shut, it practically ignores the blazing greatsword slash that arcs into its side... clearly I am the much larger threat.

"Forty-seven. Forty-eight. Forty-nine." I continue as I duck behind a tree.

I leap forwards as a blast of lighting crashes through the oak, causing shards of wood to pelt my back, it's prickly and does a little damage, but in the sort time I've been on Teyvat, I've had worse... fire crossbow bolt to the stomach sort of worse.

I dash in between its legs as it pounces for me, tail smashing away the aristocratic teen- oh wait. That's Diluc. This is when his father is supposed to die, right?

"Fifty Eight. Fifty Nine. Sixty."

I smirk as I turn around. "Mister dragon... you are already dead."

It whirls around, frothing at the mouth, it seems to briefly pause, its single usable eye flicking around the clearing as it stumbles slightly, blood drips from its nose and mouth and even from under its uninjured eye, it staggers forwards as if drunk, the world around it spinning, it crashes to the ground and lets out a weak growl.

I turn around and begin walking into the forest as the dragon's breath grows haggard. "Enjoy the poison."

As I reach the bushes, taking one backwards glance towards the cart, Diluc clutches his ribs as an orange haired man with a beard crouches beside his son.

"You should check the top of your carriage. There is a mechanism that looks like an insect... I think it drew Ursa to you." I call out. "I can see it from here."

The dragon draws its last breath, falling still as the poison possibly liquifies it's lungs.

I hold up a hand as I turn and walk away. "See ya. Don't get into another Fatui assassination attempt."

I hear the sound of horse hooves and slink into the brush. "Diluc! Crepus! Are you alright?! We've come to help!"

I smirk as I flex time itself once more, using my sudden increase in speed to gain incredible distance.

'ohoho! Just like that I have made more electrum than I have the entire time I have been here!'

I lounge on the bed of my purchased inn room, my feet kicked up on the small bed's footboard.

Drakeslayer:
A boy has defeated a dragon which has terrorized Mondstatd for the past fifty years.
All weapons wielded by you count as a 'Dragon Bane' weapon. (+2 enhancement bonus, +2d6 damage to creatures of the 'Dragon' type.)

I cup my chin and smirk.

Well. That's powerful.

My grin slowly grows as I purchase two levels.

I glance to my electrum balance and let out a low hum

Electrum: 2345

"Hn..."

'level seven is decently powerful. I could probably stay like this for a while. Let's see if there are any benefits I could gain.

I sit in my tavern room boredly looking throughout the lists upon lists of items. A couple things look pretty decent, but I don't feel like I absolutely NEED them right now.

'Is anything good being auctioned?'

Welcome to the Auction House! Please select a room.

Least Cost (Starting bid 1-150 Electrum)

Low Cost (Starting Bid 151-2000 Electrum)

Medium Cost: (Starting Bid: 2001-10000 Electrum)

Great Cost: (Starting Bid: 10001-50000 Electrum)

Greatest Cost: (Starting Bid: 50001+ Electrum)

The electrum prices for items are a little weird.

A single electrum is worth one hundred gold. Meaning the first room deals with items between one hundred gold, and fifteen thousand gold. After fifteen thousand, however, items gain a multiplier... for every fifteen thousand it has, the total price gets multiplied by one point five. So for sixteen thousand gold, it would cost two hundred and forty electrum, thirty-two thousand would be six hundred and forty... I'm pretty sure there are even more multipliers added at like fifty thousand... but eh, getting an item that grants you plus six in a stat would still be far cheaper than simply purchasing six stat points.

I have enough for the low cost room, so I might as well see what's going on in there.

Colada:
Original Universe of Exchanged item: FATE/Grand Order
Current Bid: 1932 Electrum
Description:
The sword of El Cid, it is said to strike fear into the hearts of unworthy opponents with a mere glance.
Functions as a +2, Cruel, Called Adamantine Saber, dealing 1d8+Str+2 base damage on a single hit, it can be called to your hand if it is anywhere within 100 feet of you, and it inflicts the 'Sickened' condition for 1 round on foes struck by this weapon if they are frightened, shaken, or panicked, if a foe is knocked unconscious or killed, the wielder gains +5 Temporary Hp that lasts for 10 minutes... finally, when wielding this blade against foes, creatures 1/2 your level must make a will save (Dc 10+your BAB+your main melee attack modifier) or be rendered shaken. Foes 1/4 your level must make a save or become Frightened, if they pass they are instead only shaken, and foes 1/8 your level must make a save or become panicked, if they succeed their save, they are instead only Frightened.

While I am reading over the wall of text, the bid has already gone up into the two thousands.

Hn... I mean, it'd be pretty cool, but nah. There are probably other things which I need more.

The item settles at a nice two thousand six hundred, which would be an item worth around sixty thousand gold... not bad, not bad. I watch as a new item shows up

Elucidator:
Original Universe of Exchanged item: Sword Art Online
Current Bid: 600 Electrum
Description:
This Nonmagical blade is an extremely rare monster drop from the 50th floor of Aincrad, in it's current unenhanced state it is a powerful item that could potentially be used all the way up to floor 55, yet when properly enchanted it could be easily used within the high 80s.
Treated as a Masterwork Adamantine longsword with the spell 'Hardening' cast upon it at Caster Level 20, additionally has 2 times more hit points as normal, and twice the hardness. This bonus is calculated after every other bonus, meaning it will gain twice the increase to hardness and health points from magical enhancement. Due to the heft of this sword, it deals 2d8 base damage instead of the regular 1d8 and applies one and one half of your strength modifier instead of the regular one.

'so, it's an unbreakable sword, then?'

'bid. Six ten.'

Current Bid: 610 Electrum

I've been looking for a good sword to enchant... this one might be THE best I could ever find. A higher base statistic and COMPLETELY nonmagical?! Sign me the fuck up!

You have been outbid!

Current Bid: 710 Electrum

I hope you fuckers realize... this means war.

'Bid one thousand.'

Current Bid: 1000 Electrum

It is quiet for a moment.

One thousand Electrum is quite a lot... it's would be enough to bring any of my stats that are sixteen or above all the way up to twenty one... then have a little change left over.

It's not quiiiite an item worth fifty thousand gold, but eh, it's getting close. It's just under forty five thousand.

Going once... Going twice...

You have been outbid!

Current Bid: 1001 Electrum

'fuck off, dude.'

'Bid one thousand and two.'

Current Bid: 1002 Electrum

Going once... Going twice... going thrice... SOLD!

User 421485 has won the auction!

Subtracting Electrum.

Transporting Item.

A sheathed blade appears in my grasp, it is solid black, the sheathe made out of a dark and velvety material.

I slowly unsheathe the blade as I look over my new purchase.

The shop wasn't lying... it is indeed a hefty sword. A worthy item to be upgraded.

It is about four feet long over all, the blade a little over three fourths of the length, the hilt is long enough for the sword to be held in two hands, the hand guard is T shaped, with a large arch connected to the blade with two simple spikes, in the center of the guard is a silvery circle with a black X throughout, and near the tip is another symbol that looks like two H's combined.

I flick the sword lightly.

It'll be a little rough getting used to the weight, but I'll manage.

Elucidator:
A nonmagical blade taken from the death game known as SAO, it has double the hardness and health of a regular Adamantine sword, and also has the spell 'Hardening' cast upon it at caster level 20.
Stats:
Sword Class: One handed.
Weight: 8 Lbs
Damage: 2d8+1.5*Str Mod (x2 Str if two-handing)
Special properties: Ignore the hardness of anything with less than 20 hardness.
Hardness: 60
Health: 13

To put this into perspective, Steel has a hardness of ten... and hardness is basically damage reduction... people would need to deal sixty-one points of damage to this sword to even scratch it.

I make a couple more purchases, this time from the actual shop instead of the auction, which is a shame, because a Charmander pokeball is currently on sale, but the price has already surpassed what I can pay.

Forgemaster's Hammer:
A forge master's hammer is an incredibly durable smithing hammer that grants its user great insight into smithing, even if they had no prior experience. A person holding a forge master's hammer gains a +5-competence bonus on Craft checks related to weaponry or armor. In addition, the forge master's hammer allows its user to create magic weapons and armor as if they had the Craft Magic Arms and Armor item creation feat. The user may use his Craft skill in place of his Spellcraft skill when making magic items with the forge master's hammer.

Figurine of the Dwarven Forge:
These stone and steel figurines depicting a forge and anvil are warm to the touch and give off a faint red glow. On command, the figurine enlarges to become a full-sized working forge with a magical fire burning within. The forge occupies a 10-foot-by- 5-foot area, and its transformation fails if sufficient space is unavailable.
A second command word returns the forge to its original, miniature size.
When a magic scroll containing a single spell is tossed into the forge, the scroll is consumed in flame. Thereafter, the forge and anvil provide that spell for the use of magic item creation in conjunction with Craft Magic Arms and Armor. This allows the crafter to use the stored spell as a prerequisite for multiple magic items. If a new scroll is consumed in the forge's flame, it replaces the current spell. A spell remains available for use indefinitely until replaced.
In addition, once per day, if touched to a melee weapon made primarily of metal as a standard action, the figurine grants that weapon the igniting special ability for 1 minute.

I nod and place both items within one of the side portions of my backpack.

The hammer and figurine fits snuggly beside a sack full of mithral beads.

I had started to separate them after a while, the adamantine is on the other side.

The bag is extremely light despite having roughly thirty to forty pounds of materials within... and that's because it is what is known as a 'Handy Haversack' which is basically just a weaker bag of holding.

The main bag portion can hold eighty pounds, and the side portions can hold twenty each... yet even if I max its weight out, it'll never feel as if it were more than five pounds.

The main bag has tons of magical materials that are going to be used in enchanting my little blade!

Actually... I should probably get onto that. Making a magic item takes, what, a day for every thousand gold in the base price? Half that if I make it a 'rush' job?

Hn. Fuck it. I'll make my sword then head for Mondstadt proper.

My sword flashes through the air as I do a couple of katas in the empty clearing. I'm proud to say that I have gotten used to the weight... additionally.

Elucidator +5
Stats:

Special properties: Ignore the hardness of anything with less than 20 hardness.
Hardness: 80
Health: 147

I'm proud to say... this blade is basically unbreakable.

A multi-ton dinosaur could step on it, and I doubt it would even slightly bend... the edge will never dull, but it would be a complete BITCH to sharpen should it ever lose its edge.

Nine days' worth of work, all thanks to a neat little item that lets me do two day's work within an hour once per day.

The sword flashes through the air.

It's wise to just completely ignore the damage statistic. Those are inaccurate. i could kill someone with a spoon if I really wanted. I'd just need to stab them where it hurts... people don't have 'health bars', nor 'spells per day', I seriously doubt they even have 'Stats'.

They are just things, living their lives... beasts being beasts, dragons being dragons, humans being humans.

The system is strange. My skills and abilities both effect the world, and don't affect it.

Take this sword for instance, a plus five sword would normally be nothing more than a simple plus five to damage... but if you take a step back, and really look at it, it's a sword worth more than fifty thousand gold... that's got to mean more than just a simple plus five... and it does...

This blade cleaves through entire trees as if they weren't even there, through stones like they are made of wet cardboard, and plunges through sheets of steel as if they were paper.

This blade is extremely dangerous.

And I fucking LOVE IT.

I sheathe the blade with a satisfying click and smile at the slight destruction around me.

I let out a low hum and silently pick up the anvil and forge my figurines made, then stuff them in my backpack.

I guess it's time for me to make a slow walk to Mondstadt, right?

I quietly gaze up at the large castle walls in the distance, a smirk on my face.

Several large windmills poke above the walls.

Mondstadt, the city of freedom.

I slowly walk along the bridge, glancing towards the carts that slowly are pulled along by horses.

I hear a certain noise, causing me to freeze.

I slowly walk over to the edge of the bridge and look down.

'is that- sobbing?'

I hop over the edge and grab onto the stone bricks, using them to hang down and gaze into the underside of the bridge.

A girl, roughly my body's current age is sitting on a small alcove, just above a small sandy beach leading under the bridge.

I let out a sigh and twist my body, holding myself up with one arm, my feet press against the underside arch of the bridge and use it to catapult myself over to where the girl is crying.

I land on the beach with a crouch, causing her to freeze in place, her eyes grow wide as I cross my arms.

"Why are you crying?"

"…"

She is silent for a long time.

"Look, frankly I have no idea who you are, but I refuse to leave a girl crying by herself under a bridge. I know it's not really my business, but I find that it helps to tell someone your problems instead of just keeping it all pent up inside."

The crying girl is short, has blond hair tied up into a ponytail, and has blue eyes that are slightly redded from her intense crying, she wears a simple white dress with blue ascents, she has long stockings and simple flat-bottomed shoes.

I quietly walk over to her and sit down to her Right.

I hold out a name. "Hello, my name is Chris."

She is silent for a couple of seconds before she takes my hand "B-Barbara."

'oh.'

"Well, B-Barbara, why are you crying under a bridge in the middle of the day?"

She stares dead ahead. "I-"

"…"

"I'm worthless." She whispers as she looks down at her hand.

I notice she is clutching a sheathed sword; it is lain across her lap.

"What makes you think that?" I ask. "Nobody is worthless."

Her shoulder slump, but at least she's not crying anymore, tears still brim her eyes, threatening to spill out.

"I-I... I have a big sister b-but she's better at everything! She has better grades! More friends! S-she is a better fighter! S-she even has a vision! I-I'm worthless!"

"Just because you aren't as good as your sister doesn't mean you are worthless, Barbara." I sigh. "What even made you start thinking like that?"

"I-I met my sword teacher today and h-he took one look at how I held my sword and said I was talentless. H-he yelled at me... said I wasn't worthy of the sword and to get out of his sight."

"Seriously?!" I seethe. "That's complete and total nonsense! That guy sucks as a teacher!"

"B-But he taught my big sister... a-and she's the best sword fighter in all of Mondstadt." She whispers.

"Seeing how someone holds a blade, and saying that they have no talent is not teaching. It's hot air." I scoff. "Your sister must have had prior training, or at the very least knew how to hold a sword, then that lazy guy probably called her 'talented' purely because he didn't want to do any work. I bet that guy doesn't even show off how to do moves, just tells her what to do, and pats himself on the back when she figures it out on her own."

"Stand up." I command as I rise to my feet.

"W-What?" She asks as she blinks slowly at me.

"I want to see how you hold your sword." I state as I slowly step backwards.

She slowly rises to her feet, her hand gripping around the hilt of the sword, she struggles briefly to get it out of the sheathe and shakily holds it out.

I slowly nod once. "I see."

Her blade is nothing special. Just a simple short sword. It has that 'this is the first sword you get in an RPG' sort of vibe.

"I mean, you are holding it wrong, but that's to be expected. You have no experience."

I step beside her and shift her arm slightly.

"You want to hold it about an inch below the hand guard, then you take your other hand and cup the pommel, like this."

I place my hand on the pommel, then move my hand a moment later as she follows my instructions.

I grip the hilt and gently force her arms back from over extending.

"Tada! You have accomplished a basic sword holding technique." I grin.

She looks over her hands. "This is..."

She grows quiet as she looks over her hands. "I-I'm doing it?!"

"Do you still want to learn the sword, Barbara?" I slowly ask as I step around her.

"…"

"Yes... Yes I do." She nods.

"Good." I smirk. "I was looking for something to do. I can teach you. And I can one hundred percent guarantee that it'll be better than anything that other guy will teach you. Do you accept?"

"I-I-" she is quiet for a second before she looks up, a look of determination on her face. "Alright."

"Good. In that case, forget the way I taught you how to hold the blade. I have a much better stance for you."

She sheaths her sword, blinking slowly as I reach into my backpack and asks. "What?"

I draw a sheathed rapier from the bag and hand it over to her. "This will be your new weapon. A Rapier. The bulkier short swords do not work as well for this style, buuuut if you really wanted, I guess you could make it work."

"What do you mean, 'Style'?" She asks.

"I am going to teach you one of my combat styles of course!" I grin. "I may not really look like it, but I am an accomplished warrior!"

She slowly looks to the rapier and unsheathes it; she gazes into the thin reflective blade.

"I am going to teach you what is known as the 'Scarlet Einhander'. A stance used by nobility back from where I come from. It was used when war came to our doorsteps, the nobility were unused to war, the only combat skills they knew were dueling, thus they built an entire fighting style around what they knew."

I draw a second blade from the bag and stand to the left of Barbara, pointing the blade out into the distance as I fold my hand behind my back, turning my body so my side faces the direction of my blade. "There are two real ways you can do this stance, the first is like this, and the second-"

I pull my hand forwards and hold it more or less behind me, arching up to keep my balance, making a classic fencing stance. "It doesn't necessarily matter which version you are in; they work the same. Just pick whatever feels more natural to you."

She looks over me and turns her body to the side, pointing her sword out and bringing her hand around and folding it behind her back.

Her brow crinkles slightly, then she shifts her hand out and holds it back.

"L-Like this?"

I sheath my blade and walk beside her, quietly moving her arm slightly downwards and extending her wrist.

"Like this." I nod as I slowly walk around her.

"While in this stance you limit your profile to the enemy... when facing an opponent, they can really just slash or stab anything, but with your body turned like this, you protect a large majority of your organs from stabbing attacks." I pause my walk in front of her. "When a person attacks you, they primarily do it from certain directions, most go for an overhanded swing, some stab, and others do massive sweeping blows."

An achievement has been unlocked.

Martial Teacher 1:
You have managed to teach someone a martial stance... somehow...
Martial maneuvers are... strange... to the world of Teyvat, they grant the users untold powers and seem to bend the rules of the world, similar to that of visions... however these are completely nonmagical in origin. Causing great confusion to those who are aware of these maneuvers.
When you teach someone 1 on 1 for an hour, there is a 5% chance for them to inherit the ability you are trying to teach them. Note: this chance decreases depending on how high level a certain maneuver is, but this is negated if you grant them a good 'base' to learn from before attempting to teach them it.

I blink slowly and shake my head. "Sorry, got distracted for a moment there. As I was saying. When someone attacks you, they will come from a number of directions. The Scarlet Throne style, and by extension, the Scarlet Einhander stance, relies on light movements to deflect blows away from your body. A downward slash can be diverted. A stab deflected. That just leaves the sideways swings, which typically must be dodged."

She nods once in understanding.

"The Scarlet Einhander stance additionally allows you to strike powerful blows against your foes with simple motions... we'll get to that soon. The most important thing is to protect yourself from harm. You can continue fighting longer if your body is kept in peak condition."

I cup my chins. "hn... we should probably move onto sticks for the rest of this... accidents could happen if we use sharp weaponry."

I sit my backpack down and pull put my rapier back into the handy haversack, pulling out two long wooden sticks.

I flip one around in my grasp and hold it out towards Barbara. "Go ahead and sheath your blade and try to re-enter the stance on your own."

She slowly and awkwardly re-sheathes the rapier and slowly takes the stick.

She points it forwards and tries to re-enter the stance.

"Your back foot is too far forwards."

She shuffles it backwards, fully entering the stance.

"Very nice." I nod with a small grin. "You barely needed any help. If you keep this up, I might just think that sword teacher was a complete idiot and you have incredible talent- oh wait."

I smile as I pause in front of her. "Alright, I'll show you the basic blocks, just try to strike me with the stick."

She looks to the stick, then to me. "But... I could hurt you..."

"Please. I have fought dozens of Hilichurls, and been shot by them several times. I won't even feel a bonk from that stick... also, bold to assume you could even hit me if you tried. You're a few lessons too early to have thoughts like that."

She seems like she can't decide whether to be annoyed or saddened by those last statements, but relents and attacks me.

A downwards swing, my stick comes up and taps the side of her stick, sending it just past my sideways body.

"Again, this time a poke." I command.

She tries to stab me with the stick, but I simply slap the side of it with my own, allowing it to pass harmlessly by.

"Next. A sideways slash." I state.

She follows my command and does a horizontal slash, but I step backwards, just out of reach. "At this point, you would normally counter attack with a swift jab, but we aren't working on attacks right now. But the Scarlet Einhander stance is a mix of attack and defense, so we'll get to attacking later.

She lets out a couple pants as she sits in the place I found her crying at about two hours before.

She seems to have gotten extremely lucky and learned it within the first hour, I can see her eyes glimmering as she can see visible actual progress.

"I'm honestly surprised you managed to pick that up so quickly..." I mutter as I cup my chin. "Like, I expected maybe a day or two of total training time at least... but you learned it in an hour?! I mean, it's only a level one stance, but jeez... that's sort of impressive."

"Why do you-" she huffs. "Keep calling it that?"

"Hn?" I ask.

"A 'level one' stance." She asks. "Why do you call it that?"

"Oh. Well, that's simple. Martial maneuvers have levels. From one to nine. Level one maneuvers and stances being objectively the weakest, while the nineth level is typically only a single move which is that school's 'Ultimate Technique'.

"Do you know the ultimate technique?" She asks, eyes full of wonder.

"Pfft-" I huff. "Of course not. That's like... single handedly taking on armies' level of strength... but I am proud to say that I do know a couple level four maneuvers."

Her eyes widen. "Really?! Can you show me some?!"

"Hmmm." I hum as I cup my chin. "I don't know..."

"Pleaaaaase." She begs.

"Fine." I sigh as I grab the rapier I was using and hold it up.

My blade flashes through the air, nothing seems to happen.

She blinks slowly.

"That's... it?" She asks. "I mean... it was fast but..."

"Sort of lame, right?" I ask.

She quietly nods.

"That's because I wasn't even using half of the potential of this move... you see, this maneuver is from the 'Mithral Current' school, it is known as the 'Silver Wave'. Most of the Mithral Current maneuvers require you to draw a blade in tandem with your attack. It is known as an 'Iaijitsu Strike'." I begin as I slowly sheathe the rapier. "Observe."

I draw the blade and slash with one smooth movement, in the distance a deep cut appears in the water as a blade of wind quickly rushes outwards.

The water splashes together after a few seconds.

"Wooooaaah!" The girl gasps as I re-sheathe the blade and slowly place it back within the backpack.

"Can... Can you teach me that?!"

"it's not wise to do a bunch of martial arts... the way my master described it was 'I do not fear the man who has practiced one thousand kicks one time, I fear the man who has practiced one kick one thousand times'. It is better to specialize... if I had actually specialized instead of choosing from my myriad of martial arts, maybe I would have been a level six or seven instead of a level four."

I smirk. "anyways, people are probably looking for you, yeah? I say we should call our little training session quits."

"T-That's it?!" She asks with wide eyes.

"Why? Do you want to do it again sometime?" I slowly ask.

"Y-Yes!" She exclaims. "I have made more progress in two hours than the weeks I had been preparing for Jean's master's test!"

"Hm... alright, then... I guess if you want to train in the future, come find me... I'll be staying in Mondstadt for the foreseeable future. I plan to get a room at the Inn and get a job at the smithy... I'm quite good at making blades so I thought I might as well use that to my advantage."

The blonde picks up her original sword and slowly follows after me as I begin walking away.

"U-Um..." Barbara begins. "Hey, Chris? Why don't you use that sword?"

She points to the blade on my back.

"It's dangerous. Complete overkill. It's like blowing up a city just to kill a single rat." I deadpan. "So I really only draw it when I want to kill something... because if I drop it, it's going to sink all the way up to the hilt in whatever is below me."

"It's t-that sharp?!" She whispers.

"It cuts through steel as if it were paper and just flat out ignores the existence of things like wood or leather." I nod. "It's by far my best creation. Nigh unbreakable and incredibly powerful."

"You MADE it?!"

"Yep." I nod. "Completely one of a kind. I call it my 'kill basically anything in that direction' sword... or y'know, the 'Elucidator' for short."

We silently walk along the bridge towards the gates of Mondstadt.

"Uh, Chris... I just want to thank you for helping me... I was just about to give up completely."

"No problem." I shrug.

"So, this is where you have been."

We both flinch as a voice echoes out from behind us.

"EEK!" Barbara gasps.

I swivel around without thinking, hand gripping my sword. Even with my heightened perception I didn't even slightly feel this person's presence.

I freeze before can fully unsheathe the blade and let out a long breath, slowly re-sheathing the sword.

"Auntie Alice?!" Barbara asks as she turns around. "What are you doing here."

"I'm not used to people sneaking up on me... you shouldn't sneak up on people." I deadpan up at a tall blonde-haired woman, she has twin-tails hidden under a large red wizard hat and two elf-like ears, she smirks impishly down at us.

"My my. What have you two been up to."

"Crying under bridges." I state with a half-lidded glare.

"Crying under bridges?! What do you mean by that?!" The woman asks.

I turn and walk away. "Anyways, see you Barbara. I'm going to go try and get a job."

'Get away from Klee's mom. She is an absolute psycho who has apparently blown up Mondstadt's gate on several occasions. My life expectancy drops considerably whenever I am within one hundred feet of her.'

She places a hand on my shoulder. "Now hold on mister. You better tell me what you mean. Have you been making poor Barbara cry?!"

"Of course not." I scoff. "Other people have, though."

"WHO DARES?!" She asks, a menacing gleam in her eye.

"It's not my place to say." I shrug as I gesture to Barbara who freezes in place at suddenly being the center of this chaotic woman's attention. "Ask the person who was crying."

I remove her hand from my shoulder and turn, walking towards the city gates, completely ditching Barbara to her fate.

Better than for that woman to say something stupid like 'ah. Young love'.

As I enter the town I immediately take a left and walk over to the smithery.

The sound of a hammer beating a piece of metal. Glorious.

I pause in front of the smithy as I gain a small grin. "Hey. Can I have a job?"

I pound a hammer on a long red-hot sheet of metal with a grin.

This is so...

*CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG*

Relaxing.

"How's that sword order coming along Chris?" My 'boss' asks as he steps into the forge from the small shop to the left.

"It's done." I deadpan as I gesture my head towards a weapon rack behind me with my head.

His head snaps over to look at the half a dozen swords resting upon it.

"You finished six swords in an hour?!"

"Yep." I smirk as return to pounding away at the anvil. "I got bored after that, so now I'm making something for myself out of some materials I carried with me."

The Fairy of the Forge is quivering with anticipation.

"…"

I narrow my eyes slightly and look around, but I see nothing, then shrug and go back to slamming away at the soon to be sword. Those sorts of messages have been appearing for a while... they started back after I completed the fifth sword of the order and it was all 'you have awoken the fairy of the forge'.

I notice my boss walk over to the sword and lift one from the rack. He quietly curses as he looks over it.

I pick up the red-hot metal with some tongs and look over it, nod once, then move over to the quenching bucket and slide the length of the blade down within.

The oil ignites briefly before being snuffed out, a second later I raise the slab of metal to see a beautiful blade, silver and purple markings arc throughout, looking similar to Damascus steel.

"Kid... these are all incredible. How did you... do this?" My boss, a man that goes by the name 'Wagner' asks.

He has short brown hair, a mustache, and a short beard that covers his jaw completely.

"A little experience." I hum as I bring the new blade over to an anvil and grab the handle I had carved earlier.

I give the blade a weak grab, smiling as it is now a more or less acceptable temperature.

I slide it over the end of the sword and put on the pommel on the blade, then I wrap the handle in dark leather.

"Wait... what is... this material?" The man asks as he looks over my shoulder.

I finish tying the blade and smile contently. "It's an alloy of two metals I discovered in my adventure... this blade is now one of a kind."

I lift it slowly and look over it.

The Fairy of the Forge is ecstatic!

An achievement has been gained:

Awakener of the Forge Fairy:
Teyvalt has many unnatural occurrences, Seelie, Abyss Mages, strange fairies made of water that give little girls the ability to make literally anything they mix taste as if it were from the gods themselves, and the magical artifacts that lets people bend the elements to their whims. One of these strange creatures are the Forge Fairies. When a forge has dozens of masterpieces forged upon it, the raw magical energy and the love that goes into creating a sword is sometimes left behind. That raw energy sometimes creates a spirit within the forge known as a 'forge fairy'. These beings are mischievous, but absolutely adore items created around them, and the people who make them. You have created one of these beings through your continuous smithing of 'Masterwork' items within a short time.
You have gained +2 Int, you have gained 1 Free Item Creation feat.

Wagner looks over my shoulder. "That's a damn fine blade."

"It is, isn't it." I mutter quietly as I look over the simple dual-edged blade.

This blade has been blessed by the Forge Fairy

Unnamed Blade, +1:

Hardness: 22
Health: 17

"I dub thee... Prism."

Prism, +1

I nod slowly.

"Damn kid." The man sighs. "You're making me feel really inadequate."

I cup my chin. "What do you think I should make the sheathe out of..."

"I'm pretty sure I've got some pine around here... you're welcome to it if you want it." The man shrugs. "With those weapons you just made, you've saved me a lot of time... tell you what, I need to work on the sheathes for those swords there... if you carry them up to the knights when I'm finished, I'll make you one and call it even."

"That's fair." I shrug.

An Achievement has been unlocked:

Impress the Fairy of the Forge:
You have poured your heart out into a weapon in the presence of a Forge Fairy, and while it's life might have been short up until this point, your raw determination and joy for smithing will probably be the greatest thing it will experience for a considerable amount of time!
Items you create have a 10% chance of being a +1 weapon automatically, a 1% chance of being a +2, a .1% chance of being a +3, a .01% chance of being a +4, and so on. Any weapons of +6 or greater will have a enchantment selected for them at random and you may theoretically surpass the +10 cap for magic items.

"I'm going to take a break." I call out as I walk over and sit down in a nearby wooden chair.

"Take it, kid." Wagner shrugs. "You deserve it."

He grabs some wood and calls out. "Can I see your blade for a second? I need to do some measurements."

"Sure." I shrug as I get up and hand it to him.

He widens his eyes and gives it an experimental swing. "It's light... incredibly light... are you sure this will be good for combat? I mean, it's pretty... so maybe it'd be better as a decorative piece?"

"It could cut through that piece of wood in front of you, easily." I smirk.

He looks down to it, then looks back to me. "May I?"

"Go for it." I nod.

He slides the board he is holding slightly off the table.

*Swish*

His eyes widen considerably as a portion of the board falls off with a perfectly clean cut.

"By Barbatos... what is this?!" He mutters. "This is incredible!"

He slowly looks over. "Would you sell this to me?"

"I don't think it'll get much work in my hands, so yes, I may be open to selling it." I slowly nod. "How much are you offering?"

"Hm... it's about on par with the best Favonius swords I offer the knights... and those swords are incredibly powerful in their own rights..." The man mutters as he scratches his chin. "Twenty thousand Mora?"

Twenty thousand is pretty reasonable... a meal can be purchased for like four to five at the inn and my room is about fifty Mora a night...

So realistically, he is offering me basically a year of life expenses. And that's not counting the other weaponry I make.

I scratch my chin. "Hn... what about twenty-one thousand? You probably won't find those materials around Mondstadt and it looks pretty."

"Deal." The man grins.

"Deal it is." I nod as my eyes slowly trail to the swords that I made earlier. "By the waaaay, am I getting paid for those?"

"They were commissioned for five hundred each, and you'll be getting about a third of it." He answers.

"Well... I'd say my living expenses are basically taken care of for the foreseeable future." I grin.

"Glad I can help, brat. You've got incredible talent. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

I slowly nod and look up at the sky, letting out a sigh of relaxation.

I scratch a glyph into the back of the glove I am wearing as Barbara stabs forwards.

"You are getting pretty good at that..." I compliment. "You've almost got it... can you tell a difference in that compared to your other strikes?"

"I... I can." She nods.

"The Garnet Lance is a powerful piercing attack that works well as a combo finisher. Try combining it with the Blade of Breaking technique I taught you. Most people will have their eyes drawn to their disarmed sword, so they won't notice you tensing up for the finishing blow."

Her eyes widen. "I see!"

I blow briefly on the glove to disperse the leather scraps slowly building up on it.

I glance to the quest I have been working on. For the past... month... ish? Has it been two months? Hn.

Teach your students: (Ongoing Quest)
A sword master's pride is watching those he taught grow stronger and stronger. Little do your students know, that you also grow as they do... ugh. You Parasite.
Objective:
Teach your students Martial Stances and Maneuvers!
Reward:
200 Electrum per successful stance taught (Per level of the stance) 100 Electrum per successful Maneuver taught (Per level of the Maneuver)

Barbara has given me quite a lot of electrum... well, not really in the grand scheme of things, but eh, an extra six hundred is not that bad.

I place a large smooth gem in the back of the glove, it is sealed down with locking magic and a little magical glue.

The gem is grey in color and glows a warm almost white light.

'hm. This is good enough for now.'

I slowly stand up and nod once. "You've practically got that down, so I'll teach you a good defense technique."

"Okay." She nods as she sheathes her blade.

I toss a stick at her, which she catches, I pick up my own and slowly walk in front of her.

"Alright. Always remember the most important part of Scarlet Throne." Slowly begin.

She taps the side of her head with a finger, mimicking what I did a while back when I was teaching her about it. "Senses."

"Correct. You need to feel where the enemy will strike beforehand... you need to predict them."

She nods once, possibly annoyed that I keep beating this into her head every chance I get.

"Now. Pick up a rock and throw it at me. I'll show you the Sanguine Barrier technique."

She nods and crouches down into the sandy beach, grabbing a small pebble from the pile I sat there earlier, now finally understanding what I was getting at with those.

She hurls it forwards, my arm blurs, it's as if a red bubble appears around me, the rock smacks into it before being weakly rebounded. It lands about four feet in front of me.

"This technique can be used on melee attacks as well. If you get good enough with it you could block sword slashes, hurled pebbles, arrows, and even bullets! But it sort of falls short in most immaterial attacks, like a majority of spells."

"It's just all about timing... too early, and you get shot... too late, and, well, you got shot."

"Hurl a couple more rocks at me till you feel like you've got a good idea on how this technique functions... and make sure you do... because I'll be tossing rocks at you to practice it."

"R-Right..." She stutters, possibly worried about the rocks I am going to be pelting her with.

The rock I hurled at her gets deflected by the stick she is holding causing me to let out a sigh. "Well, I don't think this is working... we can try again later"

She has a couple bruises on her arms and legs, but she just can't seem to get it.

"You are doing incredibly well though." I continue as I slowly stand up. "Keep practicing the Garnet Lance, your start-up is a little short with it, then maybe instead of next time me just hurling rocks at you, we should try the Sanguine Barrier with melee attacks like I probably should have done."

I run a hand through my hair. "I'm sorry about throwing rocks at you for a while."

"It's fine." She mutters as she rubs a small bruise on her forearm. "At least you are trying to help me get better... unlike other teachers."

She slowly walks over and looks down at my glove. "So... what is that? You were working on it pretty intensely for a quarter of our training session."

I look at the black fingerless glove with a grey gem on it. "Oh, this? It's incomplete right now but I have high hopes for it."

"…"

"What does it do?" She asks.

"Nothing at the moment, as for what I plan for it to do? Well, that's a secret." I answer with a small smile.

"I see." She mutters. "It's pretty..."

"I'm glad you think so." I nod.

We quietly walk along the bridge, passing under the gate and entering the town proper.

"Well, I think I might just head to the forge." I state as I turn and give her a wave.

"You there!" A voice calls out. "You dare hold a sword?!"

A man stands before us, older in appearance, black hair tied back into a ponytail, he stands before Barbara as I twist on a dime and place myself in between the two as Barbara takes a startled step back.

I narrow my eyes. "Who the hell are you to yell at her like that?"

He looks down at me in distain, his eyes flashing over the blade sheathed across my back, and for the briefest moments I see greed gleam in his eye.

"I am her teacher." He scoffs down at me. "You should learn some manners, brat... you shouldn't speak that way to your betters."

"My betters?" I ask with a snort of amusement look him up and down. "You? Seriously? Don't make me laugh. I've heard of you... you are an absolutely horrible teacher. And if I were to guess, a horrible swordsman."

His eyes narrow as he raises a hand back. "Do not speak to me in such a manner."

"If you slap me... you'll be picking your hand up off the ground... after I cut it off." I lowly growl.

He hops backwards, skidding to a halt several feet away as his hand falls to a sword at his waist, sweat is on his brow as he looks slightly pale.

People around us seem to notice the commotion and begin gasping as they back away slowly.

'Hn... good thing I put ranks in the intimidate skill. Plus, my charisma is decently high at fourteen.'

"That little intimidation was all it took to render you shaken? Ugh. Where do you get off on calling yourself a swordsman."

"I do not care who you have taught. Nor how skilled that you think you are. Mondstadt is the city of freedom. You are trying to declare that Barbara will never be skilled with a sword? Who decided that. You state that she is worthless, that she shouldn't even touch a blade... who decided that?!"

My hair is ruffled by wind as a warm green glow radiates through the area. "You have berated Barbara and refused to teach her. Meaning you aren't her teacher. Not anymore. Do not hamper my student with your arrogant nonsense or you will regret it. She has nothing to prove to you and if you are truly arrogant enough to think you can do whatever you want just because you 'trained' the almighty 'dandelion knight' you should just be thrown in prison now."

*FLASH*

An object appears before me, it floats there, hanging in the air as if in a small whirlwind.

I stare blankly at it.

It appears to be a glass orb about three inches across, a gold ring surrounds it, a row of spikes trail along the bottom, each looking like feathers, the one at the very bottom looking as if tail feathers. The orb is a warm light greenish blue, and upon within it is a white diamond with two large feathery wings.

A Vision.

Anemo Vision:
A blessing of the gods, this item allows you to command the elements to your whims... in particular, the Anemo element, Air.
This item allows you to cast any and all wind spells from any spell list as if you were a spellcaster of you level. Bear in mind that you are required to have a level capable of casting the level of spell you use, thus a first level character is able to cast spells of first level, and unable to gain the benefits of a second level spell or higher.
This item holds up to 3 times your level in spell charges, when casting a wind spell, you must spend one of these charges for every spell level of the spell you are casting. These charges recharge at a rate of 1/2 your level every hour.
Current Charges: 21/21
Maximum level of spell cast: 4th level

I slowly reach out and grab it, flipping it around and taking a look over it.

I smirk. "Well... I guess even Barbatos thinks I'm right."

I turn and walk off, pausing briefly as I look back to Barbara. "See you tomorrow Barbara... just ignore that guy, and if he gives you problems, come find me. I'll be at the forge."

I silently turn and walk away, rolling my shoulders and covering my mouth with a yawn as I gaze to the vision in my grasp.

'hn... thanks Venti. Pretty cool.'

I make my way back to the forge as I clip the vision onto my waist.

"Hey Wagner." I call out as I walk past him with a small wave.

"Hn?" He hums. "Hey brat. You back from your little date?"

"It was training." I deadpan as I grab a blacksmith's apron. "So, you got anything for me to do?"

"Actually, there's someone here to see you." He begins.

I blink slowly as he gestures across the street.

I look over to see a smiling gentleman with long blue hair of two different shades and an eyepatch.

I let out a sigh and walk over. "Alright. What do you want."

"My, how rude." He hums as he lazily sits on a bench, "Do you have nothing but a sharp tongue? Hn, it looks like that swords master got a fair lashing."

"Oh. So you saw that. Neat." I sigh as I scratch the back of my head.

"It's not every day you see someone gain a vision... so that was fairly interesting." He smirks before growing slightly serious. "Now I was-"

"Wait a second." I cut him off while holding up a hand. "I know you. You are one of the knights of Favonius... can that dude actually get away with his arrogance?"

I nod towards the gate to the right.

"Hn. Yes, I saw that... however, isn't there freedom in being able to issue criticism?" He hums as he slowly stands.

"There's Criticism, then there's just being an asshole." I deadpan.

"Regretfully I cannot arrest someone for being an 'asshole'. Had he actually done something like assault you, now that might have been another thing. Do not worry, we have people observing him... his arrogance makes him more of a problem than his worth, even his very student is irked by him. Using her name to further his own, how dreadful. Should he do anything, we will know." The man hums as brushes off his shirt. "Now... onto my original question."

He slowly removes a sheathed blade from his belt buckle. "Did you make this?"

I glance to the sword and smirk. Oh look, it's Prism.

"I did." I nod with a small smirk. "One of my better works, honestly. But more of an experiment."

"I see." He mutters as he places the sheath back into his belt. "You have incredible skill despite your age. This blade cleaves through wood as if it were a knife through hot butter."

"It does." I nod. "Is this all you need of me?"

"I'd like to commission a blade from you personally... no... rather, a set of blades."

I raise an eyebrow as he slowly unsheathes the blade. "I see this was made out of two different materials... might I know the names of each?"

He points to one of the mithral bands. "This looks like Silver, yet it is... strange. And I have never even seen the other."

"Celestial Mithral and Adamantine. Both incredibly rare materials, one has the special property of ignoring the hardness of objects, and the other is much stronger against the creatures of the abyss, such as abyss mages."

To the untrained eye, he would appear impassive, but I see the slight widening of his eyes, and the tensing of surprise. "I see. I'd like one of each."

I slowly nod. "I'll actually try this time. Which would you like completed first."

"Just pick one." He shrugs. "And do not worry about how much it is worth... I'll have enough. I'm prepared to spend up to fifty thousand mora on this purchase."

"Jeeze. That's a lot... now you are practically asking for me to make them the best I can to squeeze as much money out of you as possible." I scoff with an eyeroll.

I gesture to the blade in his sheathe. "How much did you pay for that, by the way?"

"Thirty thousand Mora. Why?"

"Damn old man... I sold it to Wagner for twenty-one thousand... eh, I suppose he would need to get his money back somehow. The problem with this is... if you want two blades on par with that one, you'd need a bit more."

"Hm. I should be able to cover it." He cups his chin. "I might have to sell this one... would you consider taking it back as a trade? To cover any remaining cost?"

"Sure." I sigh with an eyeroll. "Why do you even want two swords anyways?"

"I have my reasons." He smiles, his blue eye glints for a moment, then immediately locks onto the sword on my back.

His smile falls briefly as he gains a perturbed frown. "Wait a moment... what is... that?"

I gesture to the hilt. "This? This is my best work... I could probably never accomplish anything like this ever again."

"Might I see it for a moment?" He slowly asks.

"Absolutely not!" I grin with a bright smile.

"Why not?" He asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Because I absolutely refuse to give it to a person I just met, knight of Favonius or not." I state as I turn around and begin walking away. "Now... I'll begin working on your swords."

I sit on a chair with my feet propped up as I work on the gem held in the palm of my hand, slowly chiseling markings within the grey gem's underside.

i glance up to see the damned eyepatch wearing knight of Favonius... he has been staying around quite bit... observing me... watching me...

"Ah. Good." I mutter as I slowly stand. "You're here."

I slide off the glove and place it and the gemstone within my backpack.

I walk my way over to the weapon rack and grab two sheathed longswords, one with a black sheathe and one with a white sheathe.

I walk over to the counter and place both swords down.

"Here they are. One destroys objects with considerable ease, and the other is useful for exorcising those pesky creatures from the abyss." I state as I gesture to the two weapons. "These actually turned out far better than I expected, it'll be the full fifty thousand mora and the Prism."

"They are each unnamed, I am bad with names. So that falls to you."

He picks one up and looks over it, I can see his eye gleam for a moment as he looks over the blade.

"I see." He mutters. "Well, this is indeed great work. These seem worthy of the mora I have spent on them."

He drops a large sack of coins on the table, then places the prism down as well. "Here is everything. I'll see you another time."

He takes both blades, nods his head and walks away.

I stare at his back as he leaves.

"…"

Hm. I thought something else would have happened.

"Ah well, back to working on my project."

*This is where I stopped writing*

Got bit by the 'no motivation' bug again, I'm mainly writing fics for the trash bin until I get enough motivation to finish Badass' quest. I've got a couple things ready to post here, actually, I've got another DICE fic, this one also in Rwby but the character is just a little bit different, next two DBZ fics, the first is more or less a Goku Brother SI but it skips over DBZ, and the other is what appeared after I had abandoned the first, gaining a MUCH better idea. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this. I'll see you in whatever I update next!
