Sherlock's favorite cousin convinces him to watch her daughter while she travels for work. While initially less than thrilled, the detective finds that he may have at least a little in common with his little cousin. In fact, their encounter may just benefit them both. After an unfortunate turn of events Margaret is taken by a serial killer Sherlock and John were already investigating. Time is running out for the middle Holmes sibling, and doubt begins to flourish if the only way she'll be found is as another victim.

Mycroft has a kid. In a characteristically Mycroft manner, he shipped them off rather quickly, being the absentee parent we all expected him to be. When they started to show signs of genius and started getting into trouble with the law, he recruited them to a very powerful position in MI6. After some recent trouble, Mycroft has sent said kid to attempt to keep Sherlock in line.
