Dan 10 Reboot S2 Ep 9: Creature Feature
Intro:
A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashes, making a huge green flash.
The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Dan looks up close at it.
He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.
The background turns all green as Dan morphed into Ultimate Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his middle ones and slamming his lower pair against each other with fire burst coming off them a smirk.
A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.
"Dan 10!"
2: Ultimate Heatblast ignites a fire ball in 1 hand while is other morphs into a magma cannon with lava drooling out of it..
"Dan 10."
3: Ultimate XLR8 zooms into the right and speeds off in a blink, leaving behind green lightning.
4: Ultimate Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a laser blade while 3 floating crystals hovers near him.
"DAN 10!"
5: Ultimate Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.
"Dan 10!"
"Dan 10."
6: A shadow figure shows with a question mark on it
7: Ultimate Grey Matter hovers up and forms his combat body, giving 2 thumbs up as his middle eye glows.
"DAN 10!"
8: Ultimate Water Hazard lands by his jetpack and pinches his claws.
"Dan 10."
9: Ultimate Wildvine chucks out his seed bombs as fly traps extend out of his back and snaps at the camera.
10: Ultimate Big Chill phases through the number, freezing it in a instant and zooms near the camera.
"DAN 10!"
U. Big Chill's head turns back into Dan's as it rotates.
The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Kate by his side.
Dan gave a a fistbump to both of them.
The 2 then ran off-screen, making Dan run towards the camera with a look determination.
He then froze as the series logo appeared above along with his alien, 5 on each side.
The Tennysons were all sitting on lounge chairs on top of the Rest Bucket, enjoying a night out to the drive-in movies, where tonight was about an old horror movie called 'That!'. But Dan was not thrilled about the choice of film. "Man! These old movies are boring! 2 mins and I already know what's going to happen." "Really?" Kate questions while munching on popcorn. "Yeah. Misunderstood genius makes a monster he thought he can control. Said monster goes out of control. Genius gets what's coming towards him and dashing hero saves the day, the end! It's always the same old boring and snoring things." "Dan! Movies like these made that formula! Sometimes, a formula is used to trick you into a false sense of security. And when you less expect it…. horror!" Max merely naps with his sleeping mask on, too tired to watch the movie. Dan shrugs the 2 off and just munches on popcorn.
In the projector booth, the man naps while the film is rolling, unaware of familiar red magical smoke seeping out of a crack under the door and reforming in the shadows. A hand wakes the person up, making him glace up as Hex orders with red glowing eyes. "Leave now!" The man hi-tails it out, scared out of his wits just as Hex gasps as he holds his chest, like he's having a heart attack. Recovering, he scowls at the energy sparks on his fingers. "I don't have much time! Need to find a seeker." He looks out the window at the movie monster studying him with interest. "Hmm…. A celluloid abomination? That will do." Hex then made the movie stops, much to disappointment of the people, and starts making a yellow light as he chants. "Eye of Wotan burning bright, give the seeker gift of sight. Spare me from eternal night." A yellow glowing artifact appears and position on the lens. "Guide it's hunger and free me to the Gates of light."
A light beam shot at the screen, making the monster roar as it emerges, making it's way into the real world as it roars out. The people screamed and starts running as they try to get away. Just then, 'That' starts eating light from some cars, making them power down as he tosses some away.
"WHOA! These effects are way better then I thought!" Dan exclaims in surprise as Kate spoke out. "I know! It's like these 3-d glasses are making him pop!" Suddenly, a car explodes near them, making the kids takes off the glasses and saw the flaming wreckage and back at the beast. "Wait! He's real!?" "Well, I always want to make this boring movie better." Dan smirks as he drops his movie stuff and clicks the Gauntlet to Diamondhead. "A few crystal shards and should send this lame-o cheep monster back to that horrible film." FLASH
'That' was finishing absorbing more light energy when some crystal shards knocks it on his back. "Okay! 'That' read for some of this!?" Diamondhead exclaims as he made giant maces, unaware of some lights are shining behind him, making him glow. "Uhhh…. What's it doing? Gaah!" Diamondhead quickly stomps up a giant diamond wall, knocking the monster back as it notices that it's glowing as well, eating the light. "I think it's eating the light." Kate comments, making the alien get an idea. "In that case, hope you got room for dessert!" The alien quickly went on top of the RV. "Dan! The monster is back there!" "Trust me! I know what to do, Kate." He made giant crystals appears on his shoulders, making an even bigger light comes off as the monster got attracted to it.
"Why are you feeding him more, doofus?! You're just making him powerful!" "It's a classic move, know-it-all! You over-feed monster and it becomes so stuffed, it goes boom! Wham! Bam! Perfect plan!" But as the light keep getting absorbed, the monster changed form, getting bigger and nastier as it's eyes glowed. "Uh, it's not going boom!" "Give a few mins…." But in a twist of irony, the watch timed out, making the monster roar as he gazes at a nearby mountain, charging and smashing a hole into it. Dan was stunned as he stares. "Oops." WHACK "OW! Dan rubs his head as he glances at a ticked-off Kate. "Nice going, genius! Your plan just made the monster even more dangerous." "I was sure it was going to go boom." "Never mind! Let's follow and figure out what's it doing." The kids quickly climbs down and heads towards the cave.
Hex, on the other hand, was furious in disbelief and frustration. "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! That idiot Tennyson! He didn't stop the beast, he just made it too powerful! It's going to drain the well- aaaggghhh!" Hex stumbles as he glares at his sparking hands, like his powers are going out. "No! Not now! Just hold on for a bit longer."
The Tennysons were walking through the cave, only to discover a light at the end, making there way to some ancient ruins. "Wow! These ruins must have been hidden for so long." "Kate. We're looking for a monster, not some old ruins." Dan widens his eyes as they quickly ducks behind a rock. "Speaking of big ugly…"
They saw the monster was drinking from glowing well, getting bigger and mutating in a multi-eye and limbed slimy version of itself. "It's mutating and getting bigger by drinking what's ever in that well. Maybe when it finishes…" "It goes boom?" Kate got annoyed as she spoke back. "Dan. It didn't work the last time. What makes you think it will work this time?" "Simple! Just needs a stronger charge." Dan selects XLR8 and slaps down! FLASH
He raises his right arm as blue skin engulfed it, changing his hand into 3 sharp, black scissor-like claws with black marking on his wrist as blue spikes jutted out from his elbows while a black strip appeared on his bicep as a pointed black helmet appeared around his head as black linings appeared above and the right sides of his eyes. He then spin around as a white collar covered his neck. He then stops spinning as he open his all-green eyes on his blue skinned face as they shined briefly while smiling his now sharp canine teeth while a green visor appeared over his eyes, just stopping above his mouth. Dan then starts running for a bit and hops up. He then lands on his now transformed legs, that are now blue velociraptor-like legs with blue spike jutted out of his backwards knees. He has feet like the raptor with the 3rd hanging high toe/claw, but there is a black rollerball between the 2 regular toes. His had black clothing all the way down to just above the spiked knee with white lines on the leg helms. He then started to run all over the place at super speed before stopping and posing.
The same evolution energy burst happened yet again, this time making spikes that goes around XLR8's chest and connects to his back, like a x-shaped harness. He felt his jumpsuit changed and got more armored as blue fins runs down his back as green electricity surges through them. His tail point became a green trident it has energy between the point and sparks of electricity on the points. His helmet gained a couple of greens trips around it as the visor became full green, engulfing XLR8's face it is grew sharper fangs and some extra black markings on it.
His arms gained 2 extra spikes on the forearms that has electricity currents dancing around them while his claws became 4 in the same shape as they became green tipped, now surging as well. The last thing to happen was his feet became more evolved as a 2nd back spear appeared on him.
"Ultimate XLR8!" The new XlR8 has not gained any muscle mass or height. But his body did became more armored and electric charged. His jumpsuit became mostly green on the front with little black on the back while the legs shortened to his thighs. His helmet has changed as mentioned before while a row of blue fins travels down his spine to his tail, ending at the trident. His fins, tip and arms has some energy surging on them, His feet's 3rd hanging toe is now the same level, gaining another black ball as a back grew out of his heel. He lastly has black and green armor on his shoulders, feet, thighs and knees while his white collar remans.
"Sweet! Now this is a charge!" The visor opens, revealing Ultimate XLR8's grinning face. "Uhhh… I'm not sure about this, Dan." "Don't worry! Watch this… HEY BIG UGLY!" The monster gazes up and roars, trying to stomp the alien, but Ultimate XLR8 was way faster, dodging at the last second and appearing on the other side of the room in a blink of an eye.
"Come on, slowpoke! Try to keep up." The evolved alien teases as he kept dodging the beast, making it agitated as It also starts sucking on the electricity. "Dude! Aren't already you full?" He quickly runs up the walls, using his new tail points, he slices off rocks, sending them to hit the monster and pushing him back. Ultimate XLR8 stops on one. "Man! This guy is tough! Going to need something big." He gazes up at a large chain that goes from the ceiling. "Hmmm….." He lowers his visor, speeding towards the chain and taunts the big monster. "Come on, freakshow! I'm standing right here. You know, maybe you need a nice nap…." Quickly getting out of it's jaws way, U. XLR8 lands safely as the chain pull causes a bunch of big rock to pile onto it, burying it.
"Well! That takes care of that!" "I don't know, Dan." Kate spoke as she approaches. "Relax! The monster did went boom, in a way." CRASH But suddenly, the monster burst out, now even more mutated and uglier them before. "Oh, come on! No one wants a sequel! That does it! Time to see what my new powers can really do!" U. XLR8 Made his arm spikes generated electric blades while his claws became static charged, making him zip around and deliver slashes and shock jabs all over the monster.
The monster groans and screeches in pain as it quickly fled, making another big hole. "Huh? Wonder what that was about?" The evolved alien questions, only to feel like some on smacking his helmet. "Hey!" he glances at a ticked-off Kate. "What?" "For being a doofus! Did you not learned from the last time?! Over feeding it is just going to make him stronger." "Your sister speaks the truth." Both looks back at Hex stumbling his way in and collapses.
"Hex! I should have known you're involved in this!" "DAN! WAIT! He doesn't look good. Let me try something." Kate stops her brother as knees before the magician. "Hex. What's going on here?" "It doesn't matter…. I'm too late to the well." "Well? Dude. What are you talking about?" U. XLR8 rises both his visor and eye in confusion. Hex decides to explain while conjuring several images of him throughout history in different eras, each one with a mythical creature. "Listen carefully: My continued existence on your plan of reality must be rejuvenated every 100 years. To do this, I activate the Eye of Wonton to give life to a seeker. These beast relay on their instincts to hunt down ripples in the face of reality itself, tearing it open to the Gates of Light. There, I submerged myself into the well and my powers and body are reenergized anew!" "Okay, that explains how you got your powers…. Sort of. But it doesn't tell us how to stop that thing!' "You can't. If I was at full capacity, I would use the Eye to dispel the creature. But…. I can't in my state. It will just keep feeding on every light and energy source in your world until darkness remains."
Kate and U. XLR8 were surprised by the words as they glanced to each other. "I know what to do." "Me too!" The boy exclaim at the same time. "We need to get Hex back his powers!" "Let's ignore it!" "WHAT!?" "DAN! You can't be serious." "I'm serious, sis. It goes like I said before: Bad guy makes monster he can't control. It goes on a rampage. Bad guy gets what's coming towards him. End of story."
"So, you're just going to let that monster rampage?" Kate questions, can't believe how stubborn her brother is. "Kind of no. But I'm not helping Hex at all, after what he tried to do to us from all those times during our vacation! And nothing you can do can make me change my mind!" He exclaims with crossed arms. But Kate got an idea as she smirk. "Okay. You win. But know this: If that thing eats all the electric, that mean no more iPad." U. XLR8's eyes opened in shock. "No more movies. No more amusement parks. No more Laser Tag. And no more Video games." U. XLR8 stared in horror and shock as he exclaim. "On second thought, let's get Hex his powers back! And I know how to do it!"
As the monster was rampaging outside in a desert, U. XLR8 zips up to the front of it, holding Hex in his tail. "Hey, That! Still got enough room for one more?" The monster roars loudly as the evolved alien leaps up and throws Hex in. "Say AHHHHH!" The beast starts walking away as the alien watches. "Come on! Hopefully, the 3rd times the charm on making it go boom. So why haven't it—"
BOOOOMMMM Like on cue, the monster explodes in a red light, revealing a restored Hex, engulfed in his magic. "Yes! I'm back at full power!" "Why do I have the feeling I'm going to regret this?" U. XLR8 got his answer as Hex made a giant magic fist raised above and said. "Run." Using his hyper speed, he zooms away as fast as he can while Hex chuckles, getting a kick out of freighting the boy hero away as he flies away, deciding to focus on other projects of his.
Later, the siblings, with Dan back to human, were sitting on the Rust Bucket roof. "Hopefully you learned to not always anticipate things from a simple pattern, little brother. "Yeah… I guess I have been getting a bit cocky with my ultimate forms, lately. But to be honest, I kind of thought Hex would chased after me after gaining his powers back. So, why didn't he?" Kate ponders that questions. "Hmm… must have something else to do. But the bigger question is…. How are we going to explain this mess to Grandpa?" Kate spoke out as they gestured to the wrecked lot. "Hopefully, we figure this out before something unexpected happens, again!" Kate groans out. "Why do I have the feeling I saw that coming a mile away?"
