Dallas, Texas
"Bourbon and branch for me, vodka gimlet for the lady", observing JR as he ordered a couple more drinks for them, Sue Ellen smiled politely, waiting for the cocktail waitress to leave the table before speaking. "Wine at dinner, wine at intermission, and now cocktails. Are you trying to get me drunk?" grinning as she spoke, she wondered how obvious it was that if that's what he was doing, it was working. "Drunk? No. Friendly? Sure", matching her grin, he replied to her question, sliding closer to her on the rounded leather couch as he did so. "I'm always friendly", saying what popped into her mind in response, Sue Ellen giggled as she realised what he meant and then corrected herself, muddling her way to a full sentence, "with you I mean, I'm always friendly with you, no need to ply me with alcohol so you can have your way with me". Eyeing her up and down, JR laughed aloud at her comments, she was right in a sense, they didn't have to have been drinking for her to succumb to his advances, there was no denying that they'd had some excellent nights together after a few drinks though, nights where inhibitions were the last thing on her mind. It wasn't all sexually motivated though, there was something endearing about his wife's tipsy state, even back when he had known her as an actual college girl she'd always held an appeal when she was relaxed but alert. Now was an example of the same, as patched together as her sentence was, her eventual point had been clear, she hadn't been slurring, she'd enunciated each word as it should have been, she just amused herself with her comments and that amused him.
"Mm, yes you are, but remember we're not married tonight… You wanted a taste of a different me and I'm delivering", acknowledging her friendliness, he turned the conversation back to their earlier discussion, reminding her of what she had asked for. Realistically he was giving her a version of himself that only a small percentage of girls before her had received, especially college girls; with so many of them around and available it hadn't been hard to find an evening companion who considered him handing them a drink and dancing a couple of songs enough justify going to bed with him. He was sure that when his wife asked for the former version of himself she probably didn't want the hit it and quit it him, she liked at least a little bit of romance; that's where the charming, but roguish version of himself appeared. He'd probably never tell her about Vanessa and his time in Europe, mostly because he wanted her to think he was just naturally cultured, even though he rarely took his dates to cultural events like the ballet or symphony, he had no problem letting her see the him that had dated his dates, before taking them to bed of course. She remained the only woman he'd ever pursued after accepting that when she said no to pre-marital sex, she meant no, not 'keep trying and I'll eventually say yes', or 'tell me you love me and I'll go to bed with you'.
"Thanks honey", tipping the well-endowed cocktail waitress as she delivered their drinks to them, he wasn't aware his wandering eye was so noticeable until Sue Ellen responded drily to his earlier comment, "I did, and I suppose that's what I'm getting, isn't it?" Turning back to her, he had to laugh at her pout, she really was sensitive, it was a wonder they were still married sometimes. "Now darlin', don't get upset, I can look without touching, unless of course you'd be into that sort of thing?", responding with the first thing that came to mind, this time it was his turn to take a few seconds to realise what he'd just said before clarifying his point, "sharing I meant". He wasn't stupid, he knew she hated the idea of him straying, that much was clear even just from her reaction a few seconds earlier, what he was strangely interested in hearing was her opinion on sharing him though. He had never made a habit of pursuing multiple women with the intention of having them at the same time, but he couldn't say he'd never participated in such an event either. It hadn't ever really occurred to him to ask Sue Ellen whether that would be something that would qualify as exciting in their new intimate relationship, now seemed as good a time as any though, not that he'd planned it that way, it had just slipped out, she wasn't the only one who had had a few drinks.
"Not tonight JR, I want you all to myself", purring her words in his ear, he was genuinely shocked, firstly that she had dropped her sulky attitude so quickly, and secondly because she hadn't said no. They had both had a few drinks, but neither was drunk, he had a feeling that unless he pushed it though, it wouldn't happen, which might actually be a good thing, because another woman or not, he wasn't sure he wanted someone else's hands on her. "Is that so?" smirking as he spoke, he paused for a few seconds before continuing, "you're in luck tonight then, I'm all yours". Already close to her as they were sitting on the same side of the small table in the reasonably crowded cocktail bar, he brushed his hand against her face before pulling her in for a kiss, pulling away only when he was satisfied she understood he was really only interested in leaving with her.
Suddenly very thirsty, he took a drink of his bourbon and slid her newly replenished drink toward her, grinning as he spoke, bringing them back again to where they had been before she had taken things the wrong way. "I don't think we've really got the right look to walk into a frat party now, but if we did, I'd put money on the refreshment table containing a big bowl of some kind of unidentified fruit punch, this is the equivalent, so drink up". Remembering his college days, and hers, he knew it was a bit of a stretch to compare a professionally prepared drink with the mixture of anything and everything alcoholic but he was sure she knew what he meant anyway.
"No, not dressed like this we won't", doing as he said, Sue Ellen took a drink, commenting on their formalwear as she did; it was true, their outfits were appropriate for their plans thus far, but a bit too much for a college party. Considering it, he was reminded again of his own college years. Fraternity parties and sorority mixers hadn't always been big drinking and relaxed partying occasions, there had been several formal events which kept in line with the advertised serious tone, he really wasn't interested in reliving those events though, he attended enough formal events in his current life to satisfy any need he might have for that kind of thing. "Don't you worry darlin', I'm sure we'll find somewhere appropriate for our current attire", kissing her again as he responded, he knew all would be fine. They were probably a bit overdressed for the kind of club Bobby or Jack would be dancing at later in the evening, but that wasn't really a problem, he could quite happily continue their evening doing exactly as they were doing before they inevitably ended up in a hotel room. Even as a college student that had been something that had happened a lot, so it wouldn't really be breaking their little fantasy game, he was no stranger to dorm room twin beds, but no girl he'd ever known intimately had ever protested about getting a room with a little more space. The exact dimensions and level of luxury wouldn't be the same, Sue Ellen was special of course, but the general idea was the same; she wanted to have him, the college him, the him now, whatever or whoever he was, and she would get him, and he her.
