It had been the day of Harry's hearing and Kingsley, Tonks and Ava had been on the edge on the seat in the auror office all morning waiting to hear any news regarding the hearing and none of them had gotten much work done and were staring blankly on to their pieces of papers on their the time spent spying on him during this summer, and seeing how he had been treated by his aunt and uncle it had been difficult not to become a bit attached to the Ava saw Arthur coming in to the office, and immediately she knew that Harry must have been cleared because she could tell that he tried very hard to put on a neutral face but she saw it break into glimpses of smiles as he walked up. He had gone to Tonks and she saw him swiftly handing a piece of paper on her desk.

After a while Tonks was heading towards Ava's and Kingsley's cubicles, today she had gone for waist long chocolate brown curls.

She leaned over to both of their cubicles.

"You may be interested in this, someone just said they received a post from a friend saying they know Sirius Black location" she said. Then in a much lower voice in an excited tone.

"He was cleared of all charges". After that, the rest of the day had gone a lot faster.

'Is Sirius coming?' Moody asked annoyed around the table as Ava sat down at the table where Remus, Tonks, Sturgis, Bill, Arthur and Molly also were sitting.

'I don't think so, he locked himself in that room it seems.' Remus answered.

'I don't understand what on earth he is doing in that room' Molly muttered.

'Okay, so we need to organise Harry's guard to King's Cross' said Moody ignoring Molly's comment.

The meeting went on for an hour and as it was concluded as people had starting getting up to leave.

'Are you staying for tea Ava?' Molly asked as Ava was about to put on her jeans jacket and walk out.

'Sure' She had been very busy the past days with with The Order and her job so hadn't stayed over for dinner but all her plans for this evening included sitting in a chair reading. She also didn't mind not having to worry about making food for tonight's dinner.

'Great, could you be a dear and see if Sirius might come down?'

Ava nodded.

'He should be on the third floor at the door to the left' Molly instructed.

She walked up the creaking staircase in the hallway. It was the first time she had ever gone up the staircase. Like the rest of the house, the wallpaper were damaged and it had that musky mouldy smell but she noticed that it seemed a lot cleaner on these floors, not as much spiderweb and dust gathering in the corners. She remembered Molly saying how they had spent some of the past days cleaning the rooms.

First she knocked on the door but feeling pretty confident that it wouldn't work. He didn't seem like he wanted to come out at all from what Remus has said.

'Sirius' she said but all she heard was some rumbling coming from the other side of the door. At first she was sure he ignored her, and she was about to tell him dinner was ready and go back down stairs but slowly the door creaked opened and a sulking looking Sirius stood on the other side. But her eyes didn't fix on Sirius, in the middle of the room was a creature, an Hippograf laying on the floor. Half bird with a beak and feathery neck and claws in the front but in the back was like a horse with hind legs with hoves and a tail in a blue grey colour, it was stunning in a weird kind of way. She then remembered that Sirius had escaped from Hogwarts on a Hippograf, this must be it. She had even by Kingsley's instructions gone to people known to have them but none had match its description like this one.

'What's his name?'

'Buckbeak'

Not saying a word Ava walked up to Buckbeak and bowed at him, who had looked curious at the new person entering the room. As Buckbeak bowed to Ava, she sat down and starting to pet its neck. Sirius soon followed by sitting down too. They sat in silence grazing the animal whom seemed thoroughly enjoying the attention. Her looked steered across around the room, you could tell it had been a stunning room with it's woven golden tapestry and mahogany floor and a big window that overlooked London city centre and a small park, but like the rest of the house it was deteriorating.

'Molly told me to tell you it's dinner' she said breaking the silence between them. She had honestly forgotten the reason why she had come up.

'Not hungry' he muttered. Ava nodded, and continued to brush her fingers through the feathers. She was just about to leave and stopped petting as she raised herself from the floor when Buckbeak nudged at her shoulders.

'He likes you' said Sirius and gave her a weak smile. She smiled back at him and continued to pet. For a few more minutes all that could be heard was their hands against the feathers and some small hoots from Buckbeak.

'Is it awful I was hoping for him to lose the hearing and stay here with me?' Sirius suddenly said. There was something so desperate in the soft tone he had said it, as he gazed blankly at he feathers of the Hippogriff.

'...It's not. It can't be easy being here for you when you have been locked in Azkaban for so many years. But I think you know, that the best thing for Harry is to go back to Hogwarts. He's safe there and he deserves a normal life'

He didn't say any in return, just continued to look into Buckbeak's yellow eyes.

'Look. You can lock yourself in here like an angsty teenager and sulk if you want. But downstairs there's a boy who I think would very much like to spend time with his godfather before he leaves. You can sulk as much as you want when he's left. If f I were you I spend all the time I could with him, and make sure he had a good time so he want to come back'

After a few seconds of him not saying anything back Ava got up from the floor and brushed off some dust from her jeans. Her hand was on the snake shaped handlebar when Sirius got up.'Dinner does sound nice' She didn't say anything back, just looked at him surprised before they steered downstairs.

As they walked into the kitchen Remus, Molly, Arthur, Bill, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Fred and George were sitting by the table eating and talking cheerfully. In the corner furthest out sat Harry. Since he had arrived she had only seen a mop of dark hair by the staircase once. It was almost a bit weird looking at him without being hidden under an invisibility cloak.

Everyone's gaze had turned to Ava and Sirius in the doorway and the sound of people chatting had significantly decreased. Judging from the reaction it didn't seem like Sirius had been down for dinner in a while.

'Uhm, just grab a seat in the back' said Molly who seemed to think, along with everyone else in the room that the best policy was not to mention anything about Sirius sudden reapperance.

There were two empty seats in the back and Sirius sat down to Harry, him putting a hand on Harry's shoulder as she sat down. She took a seat opposite, next to Bill. Everyone had started conversing with each other again to Ava's relief.

"Harry, this is Ava" said Sirius and gestured towards her. It was a bit weird being introduced to someone you spent the past weeks spying on.

'Hi' she said and stretched out her hand

'Hi' he said as they shook hands. After the introduction, Harry and Sirius had gone back into conversation, Ava couldn't help notice during the course of the evening that Sirius smiling and laughing a lot as he sat talking to Harry. The sulky Sirius from upstairs had seem to vanish.

Ava was in conversation with Bill, they had started discussing which teacher at Hogwarts had been worse - Snape or Professor Binns.

'You know what though, at least with Snape you learned stuff' Ava argued

'Yeah but that was only because if you didn't, then he would humiliate you in front of the class'

'Fair point' T

'You know Ava, Bill speaks three languages' said Molly as she was clearing off some of the food at the table.

'Mum' said Bill embarrassed

'And he is an excellent cook'

'MUM' said Bill stubbornly

'I think you forgot excellent kisser mum' said Fred, overhearing the conversation and him, George and Ginny who were sat on the same side of the table all started sniggering.

'I'm just saying. The two of you would make a cute couple. Why don't you guys go on a date?'Molly asked.

The thing about Mrs Weasley is, she doesn't take no for an answer so to Ava's and Bill's dismay they found themselves arranging a date for the next week.
