"You, go on I'll be there in a second, I've just got to check on something" said Gordon
"Okay, well here's your drink" replied Jill handing him his drink and going through to the front room
"Ash, here's yours" said Jill handing Ash her drink, who had just finished setting up the board on the coffee table
"Thanks" replied Ash taking her drink from Jill
"You're welcome, sweetheart" replied Jill, sitting next to Ash
Ash could tell they wanted to ask her something
"What is it" asked Ash, while they were waiting for Gordon
Jill thought she would start off with something simple
"So, what happened this afternoon, Dad said something about, me being right" said Jill
"After, seeing her I just didn't feel like having fun" started Ash, but she knew she would have to tell Jill about what happened in the car as well, so she continued
"Well, when we went back to the others at the beach, they didn't want to leave but I knew you needed your bags, so I tried to make everyone happy and then got accused of having it all planned" stated Ash
"By, who" asked Jill, clearly angry
"It, doesn't matter" replied Ash
"Yes, it does" replied Jill
"I, don't want to get them in trouble" replied Ash
"Right, well we will be having words with all of them" said Jill
"Mum, please, don't, it's alright, I can see how they would think it" replied Ash
"No, don't go making excuses for them" said Jill, looking around to see if Gordon was there,
But Gordon had seen them talking and had decided to give them some space
"I'm, not but I can see how it might come across that I was" replied Ash
"Okay, I will talk to Dad about it and see what he has to say about it" replied Jill, knowing Gordon wouldn't let it go without punishment either
"Can, I ask you something" asked Ash, wanting to change the subject, she took a sip of her drink
"Of, course" replied Jill
"What, did you mean earlier, about talking to you" asked Ash
"Well" started Jill, thinking about how to word it
"We, can see something is troubling you, and I wish you could feel you could talk about it" replied Jill, not saying how she really felt, she could tell by the way Ash was looking at her she knew this, so she carried on
"I'm, worried you are pushing yourself too hard trying to remember things, and that you're bottling things up, because you don't want to bother us with it, because it's not important enough, or you're worried it will upset us" stated Jill
"I'm sorry, I promise I will talk when, I've figured out what it is that I need" replied Ash
"Just remember we are always here" replied Jill
"I, know and I promise, I will talk, I just need a little time to get it clear in my own head, it's still a little fuzzy" replied Ash
"I, know, but trust me you are doing better than expected" replied Jill
"Thanks' mum, where's dad got to" replied Ash
"I'll go and find him I suspect he has got carried away with some important paperwork" replied Jill, getting up, she only got as far as the door before the phone started to ring
"Weatherill" said Jill answering the phone
"Jill" said Bunty
"Mum, what's wrong" asked Jill
"Nothing, I just wanted to check, you were alright after yesterday" replied Bunty
"Yes, we're fine" replied Jill
"Really, you don't sound very convincing" replied Bunty
"Yes, mother, we are fine, it is going to take time, but we are fine, in fact we are better than fine, we are stronger than ever" replied Jill
"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, maybe your dad was right and it's a bad time" replied Bunty
"No, I'm sorry, it's been a long day" replied Jill
"Well, no wonder she won't talk if you snap like that" replied Bunty, clearly upset
"Mother, I didn't say that" started Jill, starting to get angry, this is why she hated talking to her mum
Ash could tell Jill needed rescuing from the phone, so she got up
"Mum" said Ash loud enough for Bunty to hear her as well
"Sorry mum," said Jill to Bunty
"Yes, sweetheart" said Jill to Ash
"Can I talk to you, while the others aren't here" said Ash
"Well, I'm just on the phone but I'll be there in a minute" replied Jill
"Sorry mum, where were we" said Jill
"It, sounds like you have more important things, to sort out, we can talk later" replied Bunty
"I'll call you tomorrow" replied Jill
"Yes, take care" replied Bunty putting the phone down
Jill, put the phone down
"Right, let's play this game" said Jill going towards the study
"Gordon are you ready" asked Jill, a little annoyed, as he was sat there doing his crossword
"Yes, who was that on the phone" asked Gordon, putting his pen down and getting up
"Mum, poking her nose in" replied Jill, realising how ironic it sounded as soon as she had said it
"So, did Ash say much" asked Gordon
"Yes, she did, but we can talk about it when she's in bed" replied Jill, realising now that Gordon had given them a little space to talk
"Dad, you're the top hat, mum you're the race car and I'm the iron" said Ash as they finally all sat down
"And before you say anything, dad you're the banker, so we can't be accused of cheating" added Ash
"You're not too old, to go over my knee" replied Gordon jokingly
"So, who's going first" said Jill, trying to change the subject
"You, can" replied Gordon to Jill
"Okay" replied Jill picking up the dice and rolling them
They had been playing for over an hour, with a few groans when they landed on each other's squares, Ash yawned
"Right, I think it's time for bed young lady" said Gordon just as he finished his go
Jill looked at her watch
"Yes, dad's right it is very late, we can finish this off tomorrow" said Jill
"Okay, night mum, dad love you" said Ash, giving them both a kiss goodnight
"Night sweetheart, sweet dreams" replied Gordon
"Night sweetheart, you know where we are, if you need us" added Jill
"Yes, mum" replied Ash as she went through the doorway and made her way upstairs
Jill and Gordon packed the game away, and then they tidied up before going up to bed themselves
Jill and Gordon were getting ready for bed
"So, what were you going to tell me earlier" asked Gordon
"Can, we talk about it tomorrow, at work, when there aren't others that can listen in" replied Jill
"Sounds serious" replied Gordon
"No, nothing like that, it just involves more than one" replied Jill
Ash was asleep when they checked on her, they heard the others arrive just as they had gotten into bed, so Jill went back down to check everything was okay, she talked to them for a while and made them a drink before making her way back up, she quickly checked on Ash again as she made her way past
Ash was asleep, but she was having flashbacks, she was at the bottom of the stairs, trying to pick up the courage to go up,
So, to Jill she looked peaceful
A few hours later and Ash was having another flashback
She was now in the room dealing with the man, and her mum, praying for her to wake up, all of a sudden, her memory jumped to her going back to get the bags, she picked them up and turned around to make her way out when there was a loud bang, and she was trapped, Ash didn't know this, but she let out a scream
Jill and Gordon, both woke at the sound and shot out of bed, they met Katie and Jonathon on the stairs
"Mum" they both said sleepily
"It's alright, go back to bed" replied Gordon
Katie and Jonathon both did as they were told, while Jill made her way in. Ash was still sound asleep, but Jill became slightly worried when it looked like she was holding her breath
Ash was in fact holding her breath as she felt like she was falling
"Ash, wake up" said Jill
Gordon could hear the panic in Jill's voice and quickly made his way in
Ash didn't wake up at first, she was still holding her breath
