"Ash, I mean it, it is very important you don't go for many reasons" replied Jill, knowing she hadn't given up on the idea yet

Ash, tried to change the subject

"So, do you know what books I need to get yet" asked Ash

"I, am mot going to discuss this, until I have your word, don't make me get your dad involved" replied Jill

"Okay, I promise" replied Ash, knowing she was beat,

But secretly still not giving up on the idea, she was thinking it's not fair, she always pulls the dad card out, but then thinking about it Gordon always pulled the mum card out, it was emotional blackmail

Jill thought she had won

"No, I've got to phone up today, if they don't come in the post, Why?" asked Jill

"I, was just thinking, I might get a head start, you know keep my mind off things" replied Ash

"Well, I was going to suggest I've got a paperwork morning on Friday, If I brought it home and did it Thursday night, we could have the morning in town and go out for lunch" replied Jill

"Yeah, sounds good" replied Ash, she yawned

"Right, bed young lady" replied Jill, knowing she was fighting sleep

"I'm not tired" insisted Ash

"Well, I know I am, even if you're not, and I'm not going to sleep until you are" replied Jill

"Okay, I'll try" replied Ash, she already felt guilty enough already without having that on her conscious as well

Jill got up and put the cups in the sink

"Night, Mum" said Ash getting up and going to her room

"Night, sweetheart" replied Jill

Jill waited until she heard Ash shut her door, she then made her way into the front room and sat down, she sat there thinking and she had this horrible niggling feeling that something bad was going to happen for what seemed like a long time but every time she looked at the clock it looked like it hadn't changed, she knew she wouldn't sleep now, so she busied herself tiding things away

An hour later and she had run out of things to tidy, she still couldn't get rid of the feeling, so to put her mind at rest, she had made up her mind to go and check on Ash, she had just started to go up the stairs when the phone rang

"Weatherill" said Jill

"Jill that was quick" answered Bunty

"Mum, what is it, what's wrong" asked Jill

"It's your dad, he's not well" replied Bunty

"What is it, do you need me to come around" asked Jill

"No, were on our way to hospital" replied Bunty

"Right, I will meet you there, and mum don't worry" replied Jill

"Thanks" was all Bunty could say

"See, you in a minute" replied Jill putting the receiver down and hurrying up the stairs

She quickly got changed, while telling Gordon, who was insisting on going with her

"We both can't go what about Ash" replied Jill, clearly worried about her

"What about me" asked Ash, who had heard the phone ring and still not being able to sleep had heard her name being mentioned

"It's nothing to worry about but grandads not well, and he's being taken into hospital just for precautions" replied Gordon

"What's that got to do with me" asked Ash

Jill looked to Gordon as if to say how can we put this

"Well, mums worried if we both leave you and you have a repeat of earlier" replied Gordon

Jill looked at Gordon as if to say what did you say that for

"Don't worry about me Grandad needs you more than I do, just keep me up to date" replied Ash

"Of course, we will, and remember if you need us, one of us can come back" replied Jill

"You had better get going or nan will be worrying about you as well" replied Ash

Jill and Gordon both gave Ash a hug as they went passed her, Gordon drove them to the hospital, they met Bunty in the corridor

"I'll, just go and see what I can find out" said Gordon

Jill, looked at him as if to say thank you

Gordon went off, he was back within five minutes

"They are doing some tests, and making him more comfortable, they said we will be able to see him shortly" said Gordon, keeping it vague

Jill knew he was keeping something from her and was trying to catch his eye

"Would anyone like a drink, it could be a while" asked Gordon

"Yes, that would be nice" replied Bunty

"Okay, I'll be back in a minute" replied Gordon not waiting for Jill to reply

"What, do you think is going on" asked Bunty

"I don't know, but he is in the best hands" replied Jill

Gordon came back and handed them, their drinks, they sat in silence for a few minutes

"So, what was it you were going to tell me about earlier" asked Gordon trying to break the silence

"So, you know, you talked to Ash and she said I was right, she said after seeing sister she went home as she didn't feel like having fun anymore" started Jill, taking a sip from her drink

"So, we knew that" replied Gordon

"There's more isn't there" said Bunty

Jill nodded

"When she left us at the beach and went back to the others, they didn't want to leave, but she knew we needed the bags" said Jill

"What was said" interrupted Gordon, knowing the others

"She tried to make us all happy, by letting them stay and she got accused by having it all planned" said Jill

"Right, well I will be having words with them when I get back" stated Gordon

"Are you sure that is the best thing" asked Bunty, she could tell there was more that Jill wasn't saying

"Gordon, I asked her who said it, but she wouldn't say, she begged me not to tell them off" said Jill

"And what did you say" asked Gordon

"That, I would talk to you and see what you said" replied Jill

"Well, I say that cannot go without punishment" replied Gordon

"I, have to say I agree with Gordon" said Bunty

"What, else happened" asked Gordon, knowing that was not all

"She, promised she would talk when she was ready and had it sorted out in her own head" replied Jill

"Well, that's good" replied Bunty

"Then the phone rang, I'm so sorry mum, I should have listened to you, you were trying to tell me dad wasn't well then, weren't you" said Jill

"No, sweetheart, we didn't want to trouble you, you've got so much going on, we just wanted to check you were all okay" replied Bunty

"I'm sorry" replied Jill

"What, else did she say" asked Bunty, knowing there was more and keeping the subject away from her

"It, doesn't matter, I've got her to promise not to do it" replied Jill

"Do, what" asked Gordon curious now

Jill took a deep breath

"She, wanted to go to the site" said Jill

"She is never to go there" interrupted Gordon

"Well, I think Jill knows that" said Bunty getting defensive

"I, have got her to promise for now that she will not go, but I don't know how much longer we can stop her, she hasn't even seen a picture, because we have kept the papers from her, but she has got it into her head that it will help her remember" replied Jill

"Well, I will be having words with her as well when we get home" replied Gordon

"Would, it be so bad for her to see it with you there to help her" asked Bunty

"Yes, of course it would" replied Gordon

"But, think about it, you can not be with her twenty-four hours a day, and what is she supposed to do for the rest of her life never use that road again, I know you are doing what's best for her now, but what about in the long run" replied Bunty

"Mum's right, we can't be there all the time, and at least she has come to us to ask and not just gone and done it" replied Jill, saying some words she thought she would never say

"No, it's out of the question" replied Gordon

"I'm not saying right away, but we could decide when, we are all ready and do it together, at least we will know, and we can control the situation" replied Jill

Gordon went to say something

"Don't say anything, yet just think about it" said Bunty

Just then the Doctor came along

"Sorry to keep you waiting, we are still waiting on test results, but he is stable if you would like to go and see him" said the doctor

"Okay, thank you" replied Bunty getting up and following the doctor
