They reached Harold who was sat up in bed but still looking pale

"Dad" exclaimed Jill

"I told you not to bother them" said Harold

"Dad" said Jill

"So, how is he" Gordon asked the doctor

"He's, stable, but we are still waiting for some results" replied the doctor, leaving the room

"So, what caused this" asked Jill

"I, don't know" replied Bunty

"One minute he was fine the next he was complaining of a headache and was having trouble catching his breath" added Bunty

Jill looked to Gordon, they knew the symptoms didn't sound good

"Well, do you need anything" asked Jill

Harold shook his head

"Well, it depends on what happens, I may need a lift home, to get a few bits" replied Bunty

"Let's, wait and see what happens" said Gordon trying to be diplomatic

Not long after the doctor came back in followed by a nurse

"Sorry to interrupt but Harold needs his rest, and we need to do a few more tests, it might be best if you came back later, I will phone you if there is any news" stated the doctor

"Yes, of course, lets give them some room" replied Gordon

"See, you later, Harold" he added as he stepped outside

"Bye, dad, take care" said Jill, giving him a peck on the cheek

"Bye" said Bunty, holding his hand and giving it a squeeze

They left the room and made their way to reception

"So, can I give you a lift home" asked Gordon

"Ohh, yes please" replied Bunty

They made their way to the car

"I'll phone work, see if we can postpone the meeting" said Gordon to Jill

"No, don't go changing things for us, I can always get a taxi" replied Bunty

"It's, no trouble, to tell you the truth what with Ash, at the moment are heads aren't really in it" replied Gordon

"Even more reason not to worry about us" replied Bunty

"Do, you think Ash would let us" replied Jill

They drove the rest of the way in silence

"So, what do you think he will need" asked Bunty, not really needing to know, just not wanting to be on her own

Jill and Gordon, followed her in

"Do, you mind if I use the phone" asked Gordon

"No, of course not" replied Bunty going through to the kitchen and putting the kettle on

Gordon started by phoning the royal and changing the day of the meeting, the only available time was on Friday morning, he then looked at his watch and decided to phone and see how Ash was doing

Unknown to him Ash was already dressed, and was just planning the final details, she had decided to visit the site, she had packed her journal, so she could scribble things down

She was in the middle of scribbling a note to tell the others, she had gone to the library when the phone rang. She finished what she was doing then picked up the phone

"Ormerod, residence" said Ash

"Hello, sweetheart, how are you" asked Gordon

"I'm fine, how's grandad" asked Ash

"He's doing well, we are just at nans at the moment, picking up somethings" replied Gordon

"So, what's wrong" asked Ash

"We're not sure yet, still waiting on results" said Gordon

"Is, there anything I can do" asked Ash

"No, I will let you know as soon as there is, so what are you up to" asked Gordon, trying to change the subject

"Is, that Ash" asked Jill coming into the hallway

Gordon nodded

"Can I speak to her" asked Jill

"Well, I thought" Ash had started

"One second mum, wants a word" interrupted Gordon, he then handed the phone over to Jill

"Hello, sweetheart how are you" asked Jill

"I'm fine, you" asked Ash

"I'm fine, so what are you up to" asked Jill

"Well, I thought I might just go out and get some fresh air for a bit, but I was going to end up at the library" said Ash

"What, are you going to the library for" asked Jill

"The reading list came in and I thought I might make a head start" lied Ash

She was really going to see if there were anymore photographs or articles on the accident

"Well, that can wait for a couple more days" replied Jill, knowing there was more to this

"I know, but I just want to get out of the house" replied Ash

"I know, sweetheart, but I don't think that is the right thing for you right now" replied Jill, concerned Ash was pushing her self into this to take her mind off of everything else

"So, what should I do then" replied Ash, getting frustrated that everything she wanted to do they were trying to stop

"Well, how about you come and help us out again" said Jill, knowing there was a lot more Ash could help with, and that way she could keep a close eye on her this morning

"Is that such a good idea" asked Ash

"Only, for the morning, and don't worry, sister is on a late" replied Jill

Ash, knew she was going to have to say yes, to keep the peace, plus if it was only this morning she could put her plans on hold until this afternoon

"Okay, what time do you want me there" asked Ash

"Well, dad will drop me off to pick up my car, so I can take you in" replied Jill

"Okay, see you in a bit then" replied Ash

"Bye, sweetheart" replied Jill, putting the phone down

"What, was all that about" asked Gordon

"I, don't know I just have this feeling, I can't get rid of that something is going to happen" replied Jill

"So, you are keeping her close" replied Gordon

Jill nodded

"I, know, it's stupid" replied Jill

"Well, you have been right so far" replied Gordon

"Well, don't push her too hard or you're push her away" replied Bunty, stopping the conversation

"Remember to just call us if you need anything" added Jill

"Yes, we will be back at lunchtime to pick you up and take you back in" added Gordon

"Well, how about I stay with Ash" replied Bunty

Jill and Gordon looked at each other

"What, it will help me pass the time and stop worrying about your dad" replied Bunty

"It's not that, it's just Ash has been a bit of a problem" replied Gordon

"Even more reason to let me keep an eye on her rather than you two in between patients" replied Bunty

"Okay, just don't let her play you, oh and if sister comes around Ash, will not want to see her" replied Jill

Jill and Gordon explained what had happened with sister on the way home

Jill went in followed by Bunty, while Gordon made his way into work

Ash was sat in the kitchen

"Hello" said Jill

"Hi mum, Nan" replied Ash making her way towards them

"Change of plans, you are staying here with nan and we will pick you up at lunchtime" said Jill

"Okay" replied Ash, not really caring what was happening she was thinking more about this afternoon

"Well, be good" replied Jill, a little perplexed, she picked up her bag and made her way out

"What was that all about" asked Bunty

"Nothing, would you like a drink" asked Ash going back into the kitchen and putting the kettle on

"Yes, please a cup of tea would be lovely" replied Bunty, following her in and sitting down at the table

They stayed in silence until Ash had made the drinks and had sat down as well

"So, your mum was telling us about your conversation this morning" said Bunty

"Great" mumbled Ash, luckily for her Bunty didn't hear her

"So, how about we finish these drinks then go to the site" said Bunty

"What" said Ash shocked

"Well, you do want to go don't you" said Bunty

Ash nodded

"But mum, doesn't want me to" said Ash

"Well, do you think it is the best thing to do" asked Bunty

"Yes, but what about mum and dad" asked Ash

"Let, me deal with them if we need to" replied Bunty

"Would, you mind if we went to the library as well" asked Ash

"What for" asked Bunty

"Well, they keep old copies of local papers" started Ash

"Sounds like a good idea, and maybe we could have a cup of tea and a cake while we are out as well" replied Bunty
