"So, did it help being there" asked Bunty asking what the others wanted to know

"No, all it's done is prove mum was right, and made me look stupid" replied Ash

"You are not stupid, and it's still early it might have triggered something" replied Jill

Jill, needed to talk to Gordon, without Ash there, she was really worried and didn't want to leave her on her own, she looked at her watch, knowing they didn't have long left before they had to go back to work

"Ash, can you make us some drinks" asked Jill

Ash nodded and got up

"What would you like" asked Ash, knowing Jill wanted her out of the way

"I'll have tea please, Gordon, Mum" replied Jill

"Tea, please" replied Gordon

"I'll, have tea as well" added Bunty

Ash, left them to it and went into the kitchen and switched the kettle on

"What are we going to do" Jill asked Gordon

"I don't know, I really don't" replied Gordon

"Why, what's the problem now" asked Bunty, not able to read what was not being said between Jill and Gordon

"Where to start, she has gone against what we have said, I think she has remembered something, but she won't tell us, and how can we leave her like this" replied Jill

"Leave her like what" asked Bunty

"Well, she is in pain, and we can't stay here as we are a doctor down already and she won't come into work as sister is there" replied Jill

"Well as far as I'm concerned, I don't care what she wants, she will have to do as we say, and she can be grounded until I am happy she has told us everything and learnt her lesson" replied Gordon

"Gordon, no, we can't force her" replied Jill

"Until she can learn to respect us, then that is exactly what we will do" replied Gordon

Ash came in with the drinks, she had heard everything but didn't tell them that she had, she put the tray down and then left them to talk again by going back to the kitchen without them even having to ask

"See, I think she knows she has done wrong" said Bunty

"I know, but I'm worried I'm losing her, every time she goes out something happens, and I don't think I can handle it anymore" replied Jill

"If you don't let her live her life you will lose her, I should know" replied Bunty

"Right, well we will have to sort this out later" replied Gordon getting up and going to the kitchen with the dirty dishes, not wanting to discuss this right now

"Jill, what is it" asked Bunty

"Nothing, it's fine, let's get going" replied Jill

Gordon was now in the kitchen washing up

"Right, young lady, you can go and get your bag and then come back down and do the drying up" said Gordon

Ash didn't reply she just did as she was told, she knew better than to argue when he was like this

"Where's Ash" asked Jill as she came along to the kitchen followed by Bunty to find just Gordon in there

"She's here" replied Gordon, just as Ash entered the kitchen and picked up the tea towel

"Right, this is how it is going to happen, I am going to take Nan to the hospital to see Grandad" started Gordon as he put his jacket on

"Don't worry about me I can make my own way in" replied Bunty

"It's no problem, I have a house call to make out that way anyway" replied Gordon

"Give Dad my love and I will, pop into see him later" said Jill

"Ash, you are going with Mum and you can sit in my office and wait for me until I get there" added Gordon

They both expected Ash to kick off, but she didn't, she knew she had betrayed their trust, so was having to deal with the consequences

"Ash" said Gordon, making sure she was listening

"Okay" replied Ash

"Right, well we will see you later" said Jill, following Gordon and Bunty to the door

"Will, you be alright" asked Bunty

"Yes, we'll be fine, we'll see you later" replied Jill, going back to the kitchen

Ash was still drying up when Jill returned, Ash had given up on fighting with her parents she knew it would get her nowhere, they wouldn't stop until they got what they wanted or thought they wanted

Jill started putting the piles of dishes and glasses away, they stayed in silence until they had finished

"Right, are you ready" asked Jill

Ash nodded, she put her headphones on and turned her music up loud, it was loud enough Jill could hear the beat

"Ash" shouted Jill

Ash pretended she could not hear her, so Jill took her headphones off

"Hey" said Ash going for her headphones

"Right, listen to me, this is your dad not me, now if you want to listen to music, you will turn it down to a reasonable level" said Jill

Ash turned it down, when Jill was satisfied she handed the headphones back

Ash got in the back of the car and turned away from Jill, so she was looking out the window, Jill got in the car and pulled out of the drive

Once they arrived at the royal, Lizzie needed to talk to Jill about some paperwork, Jill opened Gordon's office and got Ash to sit at the desk, before returning to Lizzie

Ash turned her music up again now she was on her own and angled her chair, so she could see if the door opened

Ash had been on her own for at least ten minutes, when the door started to open, she turned her music down. Which was lucky seeing as it was Jill, she had brought her a glass of squash, she could see Jill was talking but couldn't hear what she was saying, so took her headphones off

"Sorry, what were you saying" asked Ash

"I said, I've brought you a drink, do you want anything to eat" asked Jill, knowing she hadn't eaten any lunch

"No, thanks" replied Ash, knowing Jill was finding this as hard as she was

"Well, you know where I am if you need anything" replied Jill

"I won't" replied Ash, putting her headphones back on

Jill knew better than to push her, so she left and shut the door behind her

Ash, was feeling bad, for being rude to Jill, but sometimes it felt like the only way they would listen, she knew she would probably get it in the neck when Gordon found out, but right now she didn't really care what he thought

Half an hour later and Jill was busy with patients as Gordon still wasn't back yet and the waiting area was filling up

Ash was getting restless and was pacing up and down, she was fed up and her thoughts keep on going back to what happened earlier and what she had remembered

Gordon came back in and saw the amount of patients, just then Jill came out of her office

"Ash, is in your office" she said as she followed her patient to reception and handed Lizzie the paperwork and called the next one through

"Right, Lizzie give me two minutes then send the first one through" said Gordon

"Yes, doctor" replied Lizzie

Gordon walked into his office, Ash took her headphones off as the door opened

"Right, you will have to go and make yourself useful with Lizzie" said Gordon

"Okay" replied Ash, picking up her bag and walking out the office, she walked into the reception area and waited until Lizzie had finished talking on the phone, she then called the patient through and turned to Ash

"So, what can I do for you" Ash asked Lizzie

"Are, you sure you are up to it, I mean you look a little" started Lizzie

"It's what I've been told to do, so it doesn't really matter" replied Ash

"Well, I don't know, I don't think I should" started Lizzie

"Well, you can always check with dad" replied Ash, knowing Lizzie wouldn't while he had a patient in with him

"Well, I can't think of anything at the moment" replied Lizzie trying to put off giving Ash a job, as she had overheard Jill and Gordon talking earlier about Ash pushing herself

"How about the store rooms" asked Ash, knowing they were always in need of a tidy

The phone rang, and Lizzie turned to answer the phone, Ash took this as her opportunity she hung her bag on the back of the door and then walked down the corridor

Lizzie was still on the phone when Gordon had finished with his first patient and called his next through, so he didn't get a chance to ask where Ash was

Ash was in the store room, and she was lifting heavy boxes and moving things on the shelfs

"What do you think you are doing" said Rob

"You scared me" replied Ash,

"So, you admit that you are doing something you shouldn't be" replied Rob

"No, Dad said I had to help Lizzie, so I am doing as I am told" replied Ash

"But should you be lifting, these" asked Rob pointing to the boxes

"Why, not they are not that heavy" snapped Ash

"Okay, sorry" said Rob, knowing he had over stepped the mark

"No, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" said Ash

"Hey, it's fine, I guess everyone is telling you what to do" replied Rob, being really understanding

"Pretty much" replied Ash

"I know it doesn't seem it, but it is only because they care" replied Rob, but before anymore could be said he got a call over his radio

"That's my break over, see you in a bit" he added as he walked away

Ash got back to tiding up, meanwhile Jill and Gordon had nearly cleared the waiting area and they bumped into each other for the first time since Gordon had come back

"How's Ash" Jill asked

"I don't know, I haven't seen her since I sent her out here" replied Gordon

"Lizzie, where's Ash" asked Jill

"I don't know, I turned to answer the phone and then she was gone" replied Lizzie

"Wait until I get my hands on her" replied Gordon

"Well, there's probably a reasonable explanation" replied Jill trying to be diplomatic

"No, I sent her out here to help Lizzie" replied Gordon

Lizzie looked to the floor, Jill saw this and she also saw Ash's things hung on the back of the door

"What, is it Lizzie" asked Jill

"Well, Ash did offer to help, but she" started Lizzie

"She what" asked Gordon

"Well, she looked so pale and you had said she was pushing herself to hard" replied Lizzie

"Yes, but what has that got to do with now" replied Gordon

"I didn't want to give her anything to do, without double checking with you first" replied Lizzie

"Did, she say anything else" asked Jill

"I don't think so" replied Lizzie

"I don't have time for this" replied Gordon

"It's fine, you call your next patient through, I've got this" replied Jill

Gordon called his patient through, just as the phone rang

"Ohh, Doctor, she said something about the store rooms" said Lizzie to Jill

"Thank you, Lizzie," said Jill

Jill quickly made her way down to the store rooms, she could hear someone moving things inside and peered in

"Ash" said Jill

"Yes" replied Ash, moving to the doorway

Lizzie was right she was looking rather pale,

"How are you doing" asked Jill

"Fine, you" replied Ash

"I hope you are not lifting anything heavy" replied Jill, not answering the question

"I'm just tidying" replied Ash, knowing that by not answering the question she would annoy her mum

"Well, I think you have done enough, for now, can you come back to reception and help Lizzie with some filing" said Jill

"I'll, be back in a minute, I've just got to finish this shelf" replied Ash

"Right, five minutes and then if you are not back, I will let your dad come and get you" replied Jill, giving Ash a little space, she knew she was still upset about what had happened earlier and she knew Ash was doing as she was told so they could not really tell her off

Jill went back to reception and called her next patient in

She had just sat at her desk, when her phone rang

"Jill" said Gordon on the other end of the phone

"Yes" replied Jill

"What is she doing" asked Gordon, who could speak freely as he didn't have anyone with him at the moment

"I think there is some in the store room" replied Jill, who was with a patient

"Doing what" asked Gordon

"If you give me five, I'll go and have a look" replied Jill

"But, she's alright" asked Gordon

"Yes" replied Jill, not wanting to get into this now, she put the phone down and concentrated on her patient
