It had been ten minutes and the waiting area was now clear, Gordon had gone down to casualty with the patient rob had brought in. Jill was filling out paperwork with her door open, so she could call Ash in when she finally walked past

Meanwhile Ash was still in the store room she was stuck there talking to Sister

"Why, didn't you come and say hello" asked Sister

"Because, I'm not supposed to be here, I'm only helping while I wait for mum" replied Ash

"We could have had a drink, instead of doing this" replied Sister

"I thought you would have been busy" replied Ash

"Never, too busy for a drink with my niece" replied Sister

Ash rolled her eyes, thinking never too busy for a drink, but too busy to stay when I'm in a coma

"Anyway, I've been longer than I said, I had better be getting back" replied Ash, trying to squeeze past Sister

"I'll walk with you, we can sort out a date that we are both free on the way" replied Sister

"So, what have you got planned this weekend" asked Sister, wanting to talk with Ash alone when she knew Jill or Gordon wouldn't be there as she knew they were both working

"I'd have to check, with mum first" replied Ash

"They are working, so we could do anything you like" replied Sister

They were near Jill's office now, Jill could hear them walking alone the corridor and got up and was in her doorway

"Ash, where have you been" said Jill

"I was tidying" replied Ash

"Right, well you're here now" replied Jill, motioning for Ash to through into her office

"Sorry" replied Ash

"Well, wait here, I'm just going to do my ward round with Sister and then I will be back" replied Jill

Ash sat down and was trying to get comfy while Jill, took Sister and started her ward round

"So, what is Ash up to this weekend" asked Sister between patients

"I'm not sure, you are better off letting her come to you" said Jill, getting back to the patients notes

"So, you think she is free to go out with me" asked Sister, while they walked to Milner ward

"When were you thinking of" asked Jill

"Well, I was thinking of Sunday, we could go to church and then" started Sister

Jill interrupted her by starting to talk about the other patients, when she had finished her round

"Right, I have to get back to Ash" replied Jill

"I'll come with you and we can ask her together" replied Sister

They were walking back towards reception, when they met Gordon

"Gordon, I've finished here, so I'm going to take Ash and go and see dad" said Jill

"Okay, well I shouldn't be too much longer, how is she" asked Gordon

"Not good, which is why I want to get going" replied Jill

"Why, what's wrong, she hasn't told me anything" replied Sister

"Well, have you asked her" asked Jill

"Right, now is not the time or the place" said Gordon, he was as angry as Jill, but knew this would get them no where

"Well, I will just go and see her then" replied Sister

"She won't talk to you, if she wont talk to Jill" replied Gordon

"She will, we have always had this special connection" replied Sister

They couldn't stop her as they were already outside Jill's office

"Aisling, why didn't you tell me, I could have helped we could have prayed together" said Sister

"You, never" started Ash

"You can tell me anything, I'm always free to listen" interrupted Sister

"No, you're not, Mum can we go now" replied Ash

"But we haven't finished yet" replied Sister

"I have" replied Ash getting up and going towards reception

"Aisling" said Sister, Ash turned to face her

"Leave, me alone" replied Ash

"Right Sister, I really do need to do my ward round" said Gordon trying to stop a full-blown shouting match

"And we must really get going Nan is waiting" added Jill, putting her hands on Ash's shoulders and turning her back around to face reception

Jill grabbed Ash's things from the door and handed her the car keys as well

"Go and wait for me in the car, sweetheart" whispered Jill to Ash

Ash did as she was told

"Why, didn't you tell me it was this bad" asked Sister

"We tried remember, but you decided to stay on" replied Jill, grabbing her bag and coat and locking her door

"But if I had known" replied Sister

"What, would you have done differently, we tried telling you on multiple occasions" replied Jill

"Well, I could have" started Sister

"Exactly nothing, you had the chance to talk on the phone, but you hung up on her, but right now I have to get going" replied Jill walking away

Jill left leaving Gordon to it, she felt sorry for walking away and leaving him, but she also knew right now they had to put Ash first and having her here was not the best thing for her

"I'm, just going to see them off" said Gordon following Jill out

"Jill, wait up" said Gordon

Jill turned and saw it was just Gordon so waited for him to catch up, she looked over to the car, Ash was sat in the back again, she couldn't see her face, but she could tell she was crying

"Gordon, look at her, she is blaming herself for everything, no wonder she won't talk to us" said Jill clearly upset

Gordon looked over

"Jill, this is no more your fault than it is hers" replied Gordon giving Jill a hug

Ash looked up to see where Jill was and saw Gordon consoling Jill, she had really done it this time, she would be in so much trouble now

"What can we do" asked Jill

"You are going to take Ash and visit your dad" stated Gordon

"I don't mean that" replied Jill

"I know, but right now I don't have the answers" replied Gordon

"Ohh, Gordon" said Jill, it was all she had to say, for Gordon to understand

"I know, but we will get through this, and we will be stronger for it, I promise" replied Gordon

"You've been spending too much time with Matron, you're beginning to sound just like her" replied Jill

"It was Matron that said it to me" replied Gordon, they both laughed

"Right, the sooner I get on the sooner I can be with you both" added Gordon

"I do love you, Gordon Ormerod" replied Jill giving him a kiss

"I love you too, Mrs Ormerod" replied Gordon, he watched Jill get into the car before going inside

"Are, you alright" asked Jill as she got in the car

"I'm fine, you" replied Ash, it seemed to be her go to response to that question, and she knew Jill knew that and didn't believe a word she was saying but she still tried to keep up the pretence anyway

Jill didn't push her into talking she was busy trying to find a way of making Ash trust her

Meanwhile at the hospital Gordon was trying to do his ward round but sister was having trouble letting the whole Aisling thing drop

"Why do you think she never told me" asked Sister

"Look, sister right now we need to concentrate on the ward round, then after I have five minutes I can answer your questions" said a frustrated Gordon who was hoping to be leaving shortly

They did the ward round in double quick time and then went down to Gordon's office

"So, what is it you want to know" asked Gordon

"How long has she been bottling things up" asked Sister

Gordon thought about how to put this without hurting sisters feelings too much

"Well, since the day she ran away" replied Gordon

"How, could you have let it go on so long" replied Sister

"It's not like we haven't tried, but there have been things happen, that are out of our control" replied Gordon trying to keep calm

"Why, hasn't she come to me" asked sister

"Well, you are a part of the reason" replied Gordon

"Well, we both know that isn't true" replied Sister

Gordon didn't know how to respond, maybe Ash was right and the only way to move on was to cut her out of her life for good

"Stupid, stupid, girl if only she had talked to me, we could have had this all sorted out" said Sister

"You can not say that, I think it is best for everyone if you don't see her until, we say so" said Gordon angrily,

He was really fuming, at how sister was trying to portray herself and calling Ash stupid, she was far from it, she had really crossed the line this time and for him there was no coming back quickly

"Right, I think we are done here, now if you would kindly leave, I have to get to my family" added Gordon, getting up and motioning for Sister to do the same

"Please, give me a chance to talk to her this weekend, let me take her to church" pleaded Sister

"I have said, all I am going to say on the matter" replied Gordon, picking up his coat and bag and locking his door behind them

Sister went to say something

"Night, Lizzie, have a good weekend and see you Monday" said Gordon, quickly getting in there before sister could continue their conversation out here in front of Lizzie

"Night Doctor, you to" replied Lizzie

Gordon left and went straight to Jill at the hospital, he was going to go home, but he couldn't wait to see Jill and tell her what had just happened

Meanwhile Ash and Bunty were telling Harold all about their morning, well up until the bus ride back, Jill was just happy to sit back and listen to Ash, laughing and joking, it felt like it had been a long time. It was Ash that saw Gordon first

"Dad" said Ash

"Gordon, what's wrong" asked Jill,

"Nothing, I just wanted to make sure you were looking after Harold" replied Gordon

But he was not fooling Jill, and he certainly wasn't fooling Ash, she knew he needed to talk to Jill and it was about her

"I might just go and get a drink, would anyone else like one" asked Ash

"Yes, please that would be lovely" replied Jill, bending down and picking her bag up and handing Ash some money over

"Get, one for everyone, sweetheart" whispered Jill

"Be, back in a minute" replied Ash, but she knew she would have to be longer
