Chapter 21

Jody look up from her cup of coffee when she heard someone coming into the kitchen and was surprised when she saw the archangel Gabriel.

"So you weren't invited for the screening either," he taunted as he went to the freezer and pulled out the chocolate salted caramel ice cream he had asked Sammy to pick up earlier.

Jody rolled her eyes, "actually I was asked unlike you…I just wanted to let them have a little time as a family."

Dean and Sam had decided to wait until Donna and Bobby got there to go over everything and Cas went through the portal to scope out the situation before they would leave for their hunt.

So Dean and Jo were taking the down time to spend it with Ami together and they was currently in the family room as Dean was furthering Ami's education and introducing her to The Flintstones, while Sam was busy prepping for the spell and their upcoming hunt.

"So you up for your first dimensional jump?" Gabriel asked as he sat down.

"Are you attempting to engage in small talk? Jody stared in disgust as the Archangel grabbed a serving spoon and dug into the salty sweet treat, "no I'm sure nobody else would like any." She quipped.

Gabriel grinned at Jody as he took another scoopful and held it out towards her."What…afraid of angel cooties?"

"No SDTs…I don't even want to imagine what you could transmit with your saliva alone."

"Oh Sweetheart, you're turning me on." Gabriel leered at the woman across from him."Well Dean-o has me on lock down with these cuffs so I can't use my mojo to entertain do you say, want to take an Archangel for a ride?"

Jody's mouth opened and closed several times before she finally stood up, "you're disgusting."

Gabriel smirked at the woman across from him, "trust me Sweetheart, once you go angel you never go back."

The sheriff narrowed her eyes as she leaned down and got into his face."I know where Dean keeps his angel blade so put the brakes on your lewd behavior or the second we step back into this bunker I will gank your ass."

"You mouth says no but you eyes say yes." Gabriel teased seductively.

Jody sneered at him before she turned and headed out of kitchen as she mumbled to herself about being sexually harassed by an Angel being a new low for hers and that includes a date with Crowley.

Dean pulled Donna aside as Sammy talked to Bobby."Look, sorry to put you on babysitting duty but this Bobby may be a Hell of a hunter but he's not the biggest team player and I want someone here who actually cares about Jody, Cas and my girls to make sure he doesn't go all hunter and kill Gabriel just because he's an angel and pissed him off."

"Oh yay, no I got cha'." She said as she watched the other hunter carefully."Ya know I betcha I could handle this Gabriel if ya want by myself."

Dean shot a look over at Gabriel and Bobby."We agreed on 72 's too long for any one person, better to have two people here, even if one is this Bobby."

"Do yay really think he needs a babysitter? Jo seems to trust him."

"Believe it or not it's not so much trust as it is more concern that even though he can't use his mojo that he'll get bored and get into something we don't want him in. I swear he has a form of angel attention deficit disorder." Dean explained.

Donna smile at the man in front of her."Well don't ya worry, I've got your back."

Dean grinned at Donna, "that's why you're on my A team." He said earning a chuckle from his friend.

"What's so funny over here?" Jo asked as she and Ami joined them.

"Nothing, Dean's a shameless flirt."

Jo snorted, "tell me something I don't you seen Jody?"

"No," Dean said as he looked down at his knew Jo wanted to leave and was getting ready to volunteer to go and track Jody down when the women in question came rushing into the others watched as a few seconds later Gabriel came strutting into the room.

Jody made a point of ignoring the archangel as she made her way over to them."Is everything all set for us?"

Jo smiled as she looked at her friend and saw the blush tainting her cheeks and yup her shirt was button up looked over Jody's shoulder towards Gabriel who was making a point of trying to act nonchalant.

"Yeah, Sam has everything ready for the spell, just need Gabriel to provide his grace," she said before she turned towards Donna."Sam has everything set up for you to open the portal in 72 hours."

"Okee dokee," the older woman said as she held her arms out."Hello Ms. Amelia," she purred as Jo passed Donna her daughter.

"Can I see you in the hall?" Dean asked as he reached down and took her hand in his.

Jo nodded her head as she follows him out into the hall."Is everything all right?"

"Yeah, everything is all set," he told her."I just want to ask you one last you sure about this?"

Jo smiled as she nodded her head."I am," she told him as she leaned up and kissed him."You heard Castiel, there was no more danger in that dimension than there is here.I'll have Jody and Castiel as my back up…not to mention that Dean, Sam and John too."

Dean blew out a breath as he nodded his head."Alright then, you make sure the minute you get through you set that timer…72 hours and the portal will be re-opened."

"Right," Jo said as she looked down at the watch Dean gave her with the countdown timer ready to looked back up at Dean and squeezed his hand, "now stop worrying, I'm not the one walking into a werewolf hunt. You need to be on your game mister because if I come back though the portal to find out you've been hurt because you were distracted I will make your life miserable."

Dean laughed, "yes Ma'am." He said as he pulled her into a hug before he lowered his face and kissed her.

They pulled apart when they heard Cas coming down the 's eyes widened at the sight as Cas stopped and stood before best friend was currently in a pair of skinny jeans, a skintight thermal tee shirt and Hell officially froze over because he was wearing a pair of sneakers.

"Joanna I do not feel comfortable in this clothing."

Jo smile as she reached up and brushed off a piece of imaginary lint from his shoulder."Castiel, I love the suit and trench coat, but the jeans and shirts will travel better…besides with the backpack you'll be more comfortable dressed like that, huh Dean." Jo said as she poked the man beside her in the ribs with her elbow.

Dean fought to hide his amusement as he nodded his head."Jo's right…you'll be more comfortable."

The angel didn't buy Dean's reassurance and he had to bite the inside of his cheek to stop himself from laughing when Cas gave him a bitch face that would give Sam a run for his money.

"I do not see how these jeans are more comfortable," the angel sighed as he opened his legs and reached down to readjust himself before he continued by towards the other room.

Dean choked back a laugh when he saw his friend from behind."Gee Jo couldn't you find a pair of tighter jeans for him."

Jo laugh before she reached down and grabbed his hand."Come on I can't wait to see Donna and Jody's faces!"

Dean watched as Donna, Gabriel and Sammy said goodbye Ami.

He thought he was going to have to hold Jo and Jody back when the other world Bobby announced he was good and went to grab a beer when Dean asked if he wanted to hold Ami.

Sammy handed his brother his daughter and watched as Dean walked off to the side as he spoke to the infant in his arms."Now Sweetpea, you're going with Mama, Auntie Jody and Uncle Cas to meet your grandfather and the men who help protect you while you were still in Mama's be good for your loves you."

Jo took a shaky breath as Dean kissed the top of Ami's didn't think she would ever get use to saying goodbye before being separated from Dean.

He walked back over and handed Amelia over to Jo. He gave Jo a reassuring smile."72 hours," he murmured as he leaned down and kissed her.

Jo reached up and stroked Dean's cheek, "be careful and come back to us."

"Always," he swore before turning towards Donna and Gabriel and nodding his head as Jody and Cas joined them.

Dean took several steps back as Donna cast the spell using Gabriel's grace to open the watched as Jo looked over to him and mouth 'I love you' before her and Ami went through the portal after Cas and heart clenched when the portal rip closed, and he was truly separated from his girls.
