Thank you so much Blondie 20000, Bloodforlink and Frankie3Winchester for all the thoughtful feedback! Sorry I haven't posted for this story in a while...trying to get back into it after taking a small break.

Okay so I tried to fix my mistake with brining Bobby2.0 into this story and I also used it as a way to have Dean and Gabriel bond a bit. Jo and the others are in the other dimension and John finally meets his granddaughter.

Thank you again and enjoy!

Chapter 22

He was surprised when Gabriel came up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. "I swear they should be fine; the others world is safe. Castiel even confirmed that."

Dean looked over his shoulder at the archangel and could see the sincerity in his eyes. He gaze fell on the other Bobby as he stormed back into the room with a beer in his hand. Dean's eyes narrowed at the way Apocalypse Bobby glared at Gabriel.

"Finish your beer and head out. Donna got this covered." He told the older hunter suddenly.

"Thought she needed back up," he said as he jerked a thumb over at Donna.

Dean kept his eyes trained on Bobby as his hand settled on his gun. "Nah, I told her we would just lock him up. I hear Charlie has vamp nest she needs back up for. Sam will call her and let her know you'll heading her way to help."

"Umm yeah, I'll call her now." Sam stammered shocked that his brother was dismissing the other hunter.

Bobby swilled down his beer in one pull. "Text me the location to meet up with her." He said as he grabbed his bag from where he dropped it when he got there.

"Will do," Sam said as he watched the other hunter climb the stairs towards the bunker door.

"Hey Bobby thanks for coming. Sorry to take you out of your way." Dean said in a voice that was anything but apologetic.

"Yeah fine," he huffed as went up the stairs of the bunker. "Hope this doesn't bite you on the ass Winchester," he said as opened the door and shot a look over his shoulder before leaving and slamming the door shut.

Sam texted Charlie who said she would be grateful for the help and would text Bobby where to meet her.

"Dean?"

"I don't know what I was thinking asking him for help." He admitted as he went over to Gabriel. "Don't make me regret this." He said as he took the leather cuff off the archangel's wrist.

Donna's mouth dropped open when she realized that Dean had effectively let the genie out of the bottle. "Dean, what are you doing?"

"I saw it the second he walked back in here, he doesn't care about them…about our family and what it could mean if we can't open the portal. When he looked at Gabriel…he was planning to take him out." He explained realizing his mistake…thinking that this Bobby was like his Bobby. Dean wanted to trust him, but he wasn't his Bobby and he never would be. He was nothing but a bittersweet reminder of the man he loved.

"Yeah but you think it's smart to give him free range?" Sammy asked nervously.

"We have a common purpose…bring the others back. He's not going anywhere, are you?"

"Scouts honor…I'll be a good little archangel." Gabriel said as he looked up at the way Dean was glaring at him and sighed. "And I won't touch any of the fun toys either."

"I'm trusting you," Dean said. "You want to be part of Ami's life then this is your first chance to prove yourself to me."

Gabriel nodded his head. "I know and we'll hold down the fort, especially if Bobby 2.0 decides to backtrack.

Sam cocked his eyebrow at that, "you're not allowed to kill him."

"Sammy, I'm a lover not a fighter…besides, I don't need to kill him, but I could send him to Mongolia….it's lovely this time of year, especially in the mountains." Gabriel told the youngest Winchester.

Sam frowned as he looked over at his brother. Dean smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "He could probable use a good vacation."

Sam rolled his eyes but knew it was a losing battle. "Fine, we should leave now we have a lot of driving ahead of us."

"Right," Dean said as he pulled Donna in for a hug. "Don't let him burn the bunker down."

"You got it," she said as she returned the hug.

Dean looked Gabriel in the eyes and nodded his head firmly as he said. "Jo believes in you, don't break her heart."

"I won't, honest." Gabriel said solemnly, all wisecracks and teasing smirks gone. Jo and Ami were just as important to him as they were to Dean. Jo was the first person who ever truly loved him unconditionally and he treasured her for that.

"Come on Sam, we're wasting daylight." Dean said.

"Wait, I can help you there." Gabriel said as he followed the hunters to the Impala and waited until they got in. "Show me where you're going on the map."

Sammy pointed to the town and Gabriel nodded as he saw the perfect location. "Just call when you're ready to come back." He said as he put his hand on the roof of the car and Donna blinked in awe when the car and it's passengers vanished before her eyes.

Dean and Sam stared at the sign for Hooters in front of them. Dean quickly looked around and saw a highway turn off sign showing that they were only twenty miles out from their hunt. The older hunter turned and looked at his clearly shocked brother and grinned. "Okay, I have to admit…that was awesome."

Jo, Jody and Cas stood at the end of the driveway. "Joanna, we will need to walk up the driveway and knock on the door to alert the others that we are here." Castiel said as the young mother held her daughter in her arms.

They had come through the portal a half a mile away from the house Jo had stayed in during her time in this dimension and walked the rest of the way. Jo didn't just want to pop into their living room…she was afraid of their reactions if they did. Hunters tended to shoot first ask questions later.

"Give her a second," Jody said softly as she put a hand on Jo's shoulder.

"Oh Jody…what if I'm wrong. What if they don't want to see us?" Jo asked in a panic voice.

The older woman smiled at her friend. "Jo, you showed me their letters…trust me they will want to see you. This is not a mistake."

She nodded her head, "Okay…you're right. Let's do this." She said as she began walking up the driveway.

Jo took a deep breath as she reached up and knocked on the front door. Jody and Castiel were standing behind her. She took a deep breath when she heard footsteps on the other side of the door before it swung open and a familiar face greeted her. "Hello Sam."

By the time Dean and John came into the front room Jo, Jody and Castiel had been tested. Each drinking holy water and cutting themselves with silver…Jody was happy to find out that this dimension never dealt with the Leviathans and didn't need to douse themselves in cleaning fluid.

Jo looked up as the older Winchesters stood in awe in the doorway. Finally Dean broke out into a full fledge grin as he walked up to her. "Hello Sweetheart," he said as cupped her cheek and gave her a chaste kiss on her lips before turning and looking down at the infant in her arms. "She's beautiful," he murmured as he ran his fingertip along her cheek.

The young mother beamed at the compliment before asking, "would you like to hold her?" Dean nodded his head quickly before she passed the child to the man in front of her.

Jo looking over Dean's shoulder to his father. "John," she said as walked over to the eldest Winchester, laughing as he pulled her in for a bear hug. She reached down and took his hand, "come on…I have somebody very special I want you to meet."

An hour later they all were in the kitchen and John was rocking his 'granddaughter' in his arms. Jo filled them in on everything that had happened since she went through the portal.

"Chuck really likes to screw with you all in that dimension," Sam said as he tried to wrap his mind around the fact that the woman in front of him had died protecting the other Dean and had been pulled out of Heaven. Not to mention all the mental torture, then the planted and replanted false memories. It was a miracle the woman in front of them could string a sentence together.

Dean smirked at his brother before reaching over and squeezing Jo's hand. "Why don't we go for a walk, I need to talk to you about something."

"Okay," Jo said as she stood up. She shook her head when Castiel and Jody seem to be getting ready to follow and she reassured them she was fine before she followed Dean out the kitchen door. The property abutted the woods behind them and there were several paths that she knew Sam ran to keep in shape.

"How's Ben?" She finally asked after they had been walking several minutes in silence.

Dean smiled, "He's good…great actually."

"I'm glad," Jo said as she looked over at Dean. "Look, I just need to say you never owed me an apology for agreeing to help Gabriel. Your son needed you and family always comes first."

"Thanks for that," Dean said as they came upon a fallen tree. "Let's sit for a minute."

"Alright."

Dean looked down at his hands. "I've been worried about you…we've all been worried. How bad is it over there really?"

"It's almost like Chuck is in some weird holding pattern. We keep waiting for him to go on the offense, but he hasn't done anything really since he opened the portal to Hell."

"Maybe you and Amelia should stay with us," he suggested softly.

Jo smiled as she reached over and placed her hand over his. "It's where I belong. I'm going help my Dean and Sam to defeat Chuck. He's screwed with the wrong Winchesters."

Dean smirked at Jo, "well with you on their sides my money's on you guys."

Jo chewed on her lower lip as she asked the question that he dreaded but needed to know. "Can I ask you something?"

Dean frowned as he nodded his head, "shoot."

"How did they die…how did my parents in this dimension die?" She asked…she knew they weren't 'her' parents, but she still felt that there was a connection there.

Dean looked at Jo, "I…why would you think I know how your parents in this world died?" he asked.

Jo frowned at the confusion clearly written on Dean's face. "Because you knew them… John hunted with my father."

Dean shook his head, "he's hunted with a lot of hunters. What was your father's name?"

"Bill…Bill Harvelle."

Dean's eyes widen in shock as the pieces started to fall into place. "Jo…Joanna Beth? Your parents are Bill and Ellen?"

"I know their Jo died when she was three but in our world I survived that accident. I get that it's weird and technically they aren't my parents, but I need to know." She explained.

Dean laughed in disbelief. "Gabriel never told us…we had no idea."

"Yeah, we're working with him on being a better communicator….so?" Jo prompted.

Dean opened and closed his mouth a few times before finally say, "Jo…our Bill and Ellen are alive…they're not dead…our Bill and Ellen aren't dead."
