Chapter 37: The Heel's at the Premiere
(On the Train)
Kyoko sat next to Ren … who sat so close to her, their shoulders were touching … although he wanted to hold her hand, he held himself back
She looked at him a few times and wondered what was going on in his mind … wanting to know how he thinks, and how he feels about being "The Heels" again
When he caught her looking, he smiled which caused her to look down with a shy expression
They both sat down quietly until they reached their destination
Once they arrived, they skipped the coffee shop, because they traveled together, there was a need for them to meet there
(The Hotel)
They went to the hotel that was booked for them and got the keys to their respective rooms
Ren wasn't the happiest that they both had a room of their own, but hid his disappointment, knowing he would be with her soon enough
He helped Kyoko with her bag, and took it to her room … she opened the door and let him in casually
He put her bag down and said: you should rest, … we have to be up early tomorrow
Kyoko: for the transformation, right?
Ren nodded and smiled
Kyoko sat on the bed … she looked tired, and maybe a little nervous
Ren thought he should leave, as to not make her uncomfortable, but before he could bid her good night, she spoke
Not wanting Ren to leave so soon, Kyoko exclaimed: today was a mess!
Worried, Ren asked: did something happen?
Kyoko: well, you know that I went out for lunch with Momose-san and Amamiya-san, but …
Ren: something happened then?
Kyoko: well, first, they had plans for the whole day, it was supposed to be a surprise, to cheer me up after a tough few weeks … but, I couldn't really spend the day with them
Ren: I see … so they suggest lunch to get you to come out with them, but didn't know you had other plans for the day
Kyoko: yeah … I feel bad … they did it for me, but I stood them up
Ren: don't worry about it too, … you never intended to do that, and you didn't know they had other plans … I'm sure they understand work is important
Kyoko nodded … then said: but you know … I was a nervous wreck at lunch
Concerned, Ren sat down as he asked: why?
Kyoko: well, … you know Manaka-san, right … from Tragic marker
Ren: yes …
Kyoko: she came to the restaurant we were at, and she struck a conversation with Momose-san and Amamiya-san
Ren: and you felt left out?
Kyoko: well, I didn't want to participate, really … they talked about the premiere, and then she talked about how she was excited to meet Cain again, … but said she didn't want to see me … well, more like she didn't want to see Setsu
Ren: oh! … that must have been difficult, listening to the conversation, and knowing some details they don't know about
Kyoko: yeah … luckily, she didn't recognize me at all, although she watched both "Dark Moon" and Box "R" … so I'm sure she didn't recognize me as Setsu
Ren: that because your Kyoko and Setsu is basically polar opposite to you as a person, and how you present yourself
Kyoko: yeah, that's true!
Ren: that must have been nerve-wracking for sure … are you ok?!
Kyoko: I'm fine … I'm just dreading meeting her again, … especially after I pushed her back in Guam … she seems to dislike me because of that … I'm not sure I even want her to know who I am after this …
Ren: I'm sure she'll understand you were playing a role, and you did what you had to do as Setsu
Kyoko: but I was violent with her! … I don't remember if Setsu was supposed to be violent!
Ren: I think it's more like over-protective of her dear brother … which Cain definitely appreciates, and has no problem with … mainly, it's my fault for being nice to her, to begin with!
Kyoko: well, you couldn't hurt a defensive woman, standing alone … you're a good person after all!
Ren: hardly …
Kyoko: Kuon, … please don't put yourself down! … you're not a violent person, … you were hurt and you were fed up with it … you finally snapped, and it's ok! … because you couldn't bottle up those feelings anymore, and frankly you've grown a lot since then, and you know what happened back then was wrong and would no longer do that!
Ren: thank you for saying that, Kyoko! … although I'm not really sure I can always hold myself from going berserk
Kyoko: as long as people treat you well, and don't bring up the things that trigger you, you will be fine … but at the same time, if you ever feel like you're losing it, you can lean on me for help, if you want … because I always want to be there for you, like you are to me
Ren smile heavenly and said: I will take you up on that offer … you're my voice of reason, Kyoko! … so if anything happens, I hope I can reach you in time ...
Kyoko: I will be there, always!
Ren: thank you, Kyoko! … really! … in any case, when it comes to Manaka, you should just treat her the same way you did before … you meeting her as yourself shouldn't change anything!
Kyoko: ok … I will just have to find a way to deal with her, but without being violent … but stay true to Setsu!
Ren: I actually wonder, … what changed back then … before, Setsu never expressed her dominance in such way …so, I assumed something changed by the time we saw each other in Guam … but, back then you didn't know I was Corn … so, I'm curious about that!
Kyoko remembered being confronted by the president about her love for Ren, and that she decided to love him inside her heart, … but that all happened before his confession … he said he would wait for her answer, so she couldn't really respond to him that honestly
Ren not getting an answer, he wondered aloud: I thought maybe you changed your Setsu because you tend to improve your characters over time … so maybe after you got that break, you thought more about Setsu's character and figured out some aspects that made Setsu who she is, and wasn't too shy from showing it!
Kyoko: well, … I guess you can say that … but I honestly snapped at that time, because she's kept acting so stupid around you … well, Setsu is the one who snapped!
Ren: oh! … that makes sense … but why would you consider her actions stupid?
Nervous, Kyoko: because she reminded me of old Kyoko … and it annoyed me … well, it annoyed both me and Setsu … because she hates people who acted mindlessly … and she was fed up!
Ren: I can't deny she was being mindless, and she wasn't taking any of our hints!
Kyoko added: but, I guess you can't really stop being a playboy either!
Muddled, Ren defensively said: hey! … what do you mean by that?!
Kyoko: well girls fall in love with you right away … because you treat them like a gentleman, and everyone likes that!
Frustrated, Ren declared: I'm not a playboy! … please stop considering me as such! … I have no desire to be with anyone but you!
Hearing that made Kyoko blush and turn red … she was thankful for his love for her, but she wasn't fully convinced by it because she wasn't confident with herself just yet
Ren noticed the blushing and took that as a positive sign … he didn't mind how small of a step she took forward, as long as she takes one … and he was willing to prove his love for her every day until she gives him a replay
Kyoko looked away and said: saying things like that, makes you a playboy!
Perplexed, Ren reasoned: I don't say those things to anyone, but you! … because you are important to me!
Kyoko wondered: because we knew each other as kids?!
Confused, Ren asked: Are you confusing things together? … sure, your important because you always held a place in my heart, since when we met as kids … but your importance only increased as we got to know each other more, as we grew older! … I know I wasn't a good guy then, saying things that upset you, and hurt you … and kicking you out …
Kyoko: No! that was well-deserved! … I'm grateful for that actually because if you didn't do that, I wouldn't have understood and respected this career… I was being foolish and blinded by my anger and revenge … but, that's behind me now!
Ren smiled and said: I want you to know that you're the most important person to me, … you made me see things I was blind to, and you saved me from the darkness more times than I could count … I owe you everything!
Kyoko smiled and nodded shyly
Ren: and I'm going to have to do something about this "playboy" trait! … if I need to be mean to everyone just to prove I'm not a playboy, then that's what I'll do!
Panicked, Kyoko said: you don't have to go that far! … it's just, perhaps I'm not used to your behavior … you still act un-Japanese sometimes, which usually translate into playboy in my books … maybe I'm just inexperienced, you know!
Ren: I understand … I will be more careful though!
Kyoko nodded
Ren: all right then … you should rest! … Good night, Kyoko!
Kyoko flushed hearing him saying that … but replied: Good night!
Ren proceed to walk to the door, but before he opened it, he heard
Kyoko: Good night, Kuon!
Ren looked back at her and gave her the most dazzling heavenly smile ever
Kyoko looked down … not wanting him to see how red her face was, but Ren didn't mind … he left with a huge smile on his face
(That Night- Tokyo)
In the black market, a bigger boss was seated at his fancy wooden desk, as he counted the money he recently collected from his clients … he smocked a fancy Cigar, and was surrounded by his staff and bodyguards
He got a report on the guy and his group who were arrested in connection to the cameras that were installed in the Mogami's apartment vb
He huffed, then smoked his Cigar, then puffed a huge smoke cloud … he then asked: did we at least get the money we're owed?
His secretary answered: No, … the payment was declined
Anger, he slammed his desk loudly … making some of the new guys flinch in fear
One of the new guys reasoned: perhaps it was declined because we asked for more than we were supposed to?!
The secretary kicked the guys, saying: you are not to talk until you get permission!
The Boss: are you new?! … didn't you learn our ways already?!
The new guy looked down in shame
The secretary kicked him again, saying: answer when he asks!
The new guy: I'm sorry, I will be more mindful and I will learn better … I won't make the same mistake again … I'm sorry!
The boss: take him and teach him a lesson, Kishi!
Kishi got up and dragged the new guy and gave him a good beating for his misconduct
The boss: we need our money, not only did we complete the objective, … but we also lost a whole group! … We need to get that money, even if we kill that woman and sell her organs to the black market!
The secretary: Yes sir
The boss: that's no order … let see … she wanted to spy on someone right?
The secretary: yes
The boss: do you know why?

Kyoko and Ren woke up the next morning, checked out of their hotel, and met Ten at the private Salon she rented … no one saw them get in, as it was so early in the morning, and most people were asleep at that time
Ten: perfect timing …. Great! … let's get started with you, Ren!
Ren sat down, as Ten prepared the kit to dye his hair … Kyoko sat down and watch the whole process, checking her phone in between
She sent Momose and Chiori texts to apologize, but both told her it was fine because work comes first
Kanae sent Kyoko her usual texts, updating her about herself, and showing her nice places she's been to… she found a place that Kyoko would love, so she sent a picture with an address telling Kyoko that if she was to visit, she would take her there
Kyoko texted back happily, saying that she would try to visit when she can while daydreaming about how their day would go if, or when Kanae would take her to that place and treat her
Ten smiled and commented: her mind is off somewhere now, right?
Ren: that would be La La land!
Ten: you know her very well, don't you?
Ren: you can say that …
Ten: was she the one you met as yourself, back then?
Ren nodded, then said: yes, … she's the one!
Ten warned: she can hear you!
Ren: doubt it … when she's like that, she's already in her own world … maybe it's about something her friend sent her
Ten smiled then teased saying: are you Jealous?
Confused, Ren asked: why should I be?
Ten: because her friend might snatch her away from you!
Ren chuckled, then said: I hope not …
Ten: that doesn't sound confident to me!
Ren: I get how important she is to her … so I'm not going to let anything get in between them, including myself … I want to be in her life, and as much as I want to take her and run away to a secluded island and spend the rest of my life with her … I won't, because she has a great group of friends and family that love her, so I won't take that away … she doesn't have to lose anyone anymore!
Ten nodded and said: I trust that you will protect her … she doesn't need more drama after everything that has happened … she needs some peace and quiet … I hope she can enjoy life going forward!
Ren: I hope so too
Ten: good luck with her, really! … because she still seems oblivious to your flirting tactics, up your game or something! … Ren!
Ren: She knows how I feel!
Ten: yet, not convinced!
Muddled, Ren asked: what do you mean?!
Ten: look, I'm a woman too, and I can tell, she might be hearing "I love you" from you, but she needs to see actions … or perhaps better, proof!
Ren: I'm confused … I already told her why I love her … what more do I need to do?
Ten: Hmm … did you tell her what you love about her?
Ren: I think
Ten: you can't say "I think"! … you need to actively show her how much you care … she's a love me member, and darling put her there for a reason … I understand she's been hurt and she been told things before … and although it's not your fault, it's not her fault either … when you drill someone on something over and over, they start believing it's a fact!
Ren: I know about her past …
Ten: alright, then you need to use that to identify the things she might lack, and help her believe otherwise … for example, when I told her she has an amazing face structure, she seemed in disbelief … perhaps she has some issues about how she looks and she doesn't see how beautiful she is … so you need to drill in her mind that she is, and prove it by telling her what you like! … or else she won't believe you!
Ren: she was told she was plain and boring
Ten: see! … you need to compliment her as herself and not her characters! … because she will think that her characters are the ones that are good looking, oppose to her normal self
Ren: I see! … I need to be more careful then!
Ten: you can thank me later … but, I would like to know some updates if possible
Ren: smiled and nodded, promising to update her once something good happens
After a while, Kyoko started to pay attention to them and asked questions as to how to take care of her hair
Ten: what's your natural hair color, Kyoko-chan?!
Kyoko: black!
Ten: so, you probably go through several bleaching treatments, to lighten your hair
Kyoko: yes, I went through 2-3 I think …
Ten: Alright, I have some great products to help protect your hair, I will give them to you when you're done with this mission, ok?
Kyoko: Thank you!
Ten: Black would look great on you! … why don't you die your hair black instead?
Kyoko: well, … I got used to this look! … plus, having that black hair will just remind me of the plain and boring version of myself
Ten: I wouldn't think your plain or boring at all! … what's wrong with black! … it's your natural hair and it's a beauty standard for us Japanese! … don't be ashamed of it!
Ren: I think you look great with black hair, … it suited you very well … you looked adorable and cute!
Startled, Kyoko reddened shyly
Ten hit the back of Ren's neck and whispered: don't call her cute and adorable! … she's not a child! … unless she likes that, otherwise, don't!
Ren whispered: look at her!
Ten saw how shy Kyoko got, so she smiled and relaxed, thanking God that Kyoko wasn't offended by that
Ren tried to remember Ten's advice, and he didn't think saying cute or adorable was a bad thing … but then, he didn't want her to think that he sees her as a child, so he made a mental note to give her more mature compliments
After Ren was done, it was Kyoko's turn … she got her wig on, make-up, and her outfit
Ten then got dressed in a Goth outfit, and lid them out to her car … they arrived at the Train station and got ready to ride the Shinkansen … when it arrived, they went aboard, and the bullet train took them straight back to Tokyo
Once the Shinkansen arrived at Tokyo station, … Cain and Setsu got their luggage and walked out to find a huge number of reporters snapping pictures and throwing questions about them
Cain walked away holding Setsu's hand, ignoring the media frenzy … they got into the car that was waiting for them … and it drove away soon after
Some reporters tried to follow them, but eventually, no one was able to keep up
Cain and Setsu arrived at their usual hotel, and checked in … they got into their room, and locked the door
Setsu complained about the media and Cain apologized for having her go through that
They spent the rest of the day in their room, without leaving it once, … instead, they both dropped their characters for the night … and talked as Kyoko and Kuon
By night time, Kyoko fell asleep for the first time before Cain … which surprised Ren, he wondered if he should happy about it or not … did she feel safe around him that she can sleep peacefully … or does she not see him as a man
His own self-doubt started playing around in his mind … he saw her blush, he knew she cared … but was it enough … for him at least
He wondered what he wanted from all this … because he knew she wasn't ready, especially after what he heard from Ten … he tried to think of ways to prove his love without making her feel pressured … how to reassure her, without embarrassing her … anything to get his point across safely and clearly
He stayed up with those thoughts until nearly 3 am … but at that point, he gave in and he fell asleep
Kyoko woke up bright and early and transformed into Setsu … she then woke her dear brother up, but he won't wake up … she ignored him and proceeded to cook breakfast … then tried to wake him again … this time he got up, took a shower, then joined her for breakfast
They both ate happily then went out and strolled around town … however they soon returned to their hotel and locked themselves in, because they kept being targeted by reporters around town, which made them feel that their "dates" were interrupted
Cain couldn't really intimidate the reporters because he knew he would cause a backlash that might ruin the movie, so he just acted annoyed, but cold … ignoring each and every question that came his way
The third day, the same thing happened, but fewer reporters trailed them … some of them feared Cain, although he wasn't being violent with them … however, his gaze was scary enough to push some to stop going after them
By day four, no one was going after them … and they were able to stroll around town on their mini dates peacefully … they shopped a little, although Setsu tried to protest that she had everything she needed … her brother kept spoiling her, by getting her things she would like
(At Viride General Law Office)
Saena and Todoh went to talk to Katagiri after they finished work … he had some court cases, so they couldn't see him until now
Katagiri: I'm glad you are back Mogami, … how are you feeling, … is your hand ok?
Saena: I'm feeling much better, and I've gotten used to the cast, so I can manage
Katagiri: I got some good news from the Disciplinary Board … they looked into the matter, but nothing came up, which we already knew would happen … therefore the investigation was dropped … you have nothing to worry about!
Todoh smiled and nodded
Saena was relieved, … she wasn't going to go through any meetings with the disciplinary board and she was going to keep her job … but at the same time, she knew that she lost a lot of trusts, and she knew her next move to fix that
Katagiri: I still have no word from Miyasaki-san, but, … she will face us in court anyway!
Todoh: sure thing!
Saena: I don't expect to hear from her anyway … if we want anything, we will have to be aggressive about it! … and I'm not going to let her get to me anymore!
Katagiri: That's what I wanted to hear!
(Door knocking)
Katagiri: come in
Mrs. Katagiri: Hi honey, I came to get you ….
Todoh looked at the time and thought (he's leaving already?)
Saena looked at Todoh wondering if he was going to speak up or postpone it
Katagiri: I told you that you don't have to come … aren't you tired?
Mrs. Katagiri: I'm fine … I've gone to the doctor's and they told me some great news! … but, are you busy?
Katagiri: I was just having a short meeting with my closest allies … come sit down, I'm sure they don't mind
Mrs. Katagiri: are you sure?
Todoh: please, we don't mind it at all!
Saena: It's nice to see you again
Mrs. Katagiri: It sure is … are you ok, my husband told me about what happened, and I was planning to pay you a visit … but I wasn't feeling too well … I'm sorry!
Saena: I'm doing fine, … thank you for your consideration
Katagiri: what's the great news?
Mrs. Katagiri: well, … I'm pregnant!
Excited, Katagiri held his wife's hand and said: that's amazing news! … are you sure you're ok, don't you need to be in bed?!
Mrs. Katagiri: I'm fine! … The doctor gave me some tips on how to deal with morning sickness, so I will be fine, I assure you!
Todoh: congrats!
Saena: congratulation …

Casual, Todoh said: that's fine, that's something he and my brother are so adamant about!
Saena: He's a good person … I can at least trust him, wholeheartedly
Katagiri: even if he's a masochistic pervert?!
Mrs. Katagiri: Honey!
Todoh smirked and said: you just can't admit I'm a great person!
Saena: He treats me well … so, I'm willing of giving him a chance … but,
Katagiri: don't worry about me, … I know you will put work first because that's what you did for the past 10 years … you always did, … so, one mistake shouldn't define you! … I'm just kidding with you, … I know he's trustworthy, and I can see how much he cares!
Todoh raised an eyebrow but didn't comment
Saena: we just wanted to make sure we're not violating any rules, and to assure you that work will indeed come first! … I will make sure I would never make such a mistake again because I know Todoh would never betray us
Katagiri: no rules broken, and sure, I trust that Todoh will be there and if anything goes wrong! I will go after him personally … not you … again, just joking around! … Mogami, you should enjoy life more, … there is more to life than just work, … I know how dedicated you are, so I have no doubt you'll do just fine … and Todoh, I'm warning you from now, hurt her and I will end you!
Mrs. Katagiri: are you two really allies?! … you sound like enemies to me!
Sarcastic, Todoh: thanks for the friendly warning! … I truly appreciate it!
Katagiri: He's a fine guy … as long as he doesn't act like a creep! … please spear them your weirdness … and make sure Kyoko knows about this, you don't want things to go wrong there!
Todoh: she already knows … we told her before she left for work!
Katagiri: I assume she's ok with it then?
Saena: yes … she didn't mind it, and she seems fond of him herself

Todoh: I don't mind really … he's so much better than my brother, honestly!

Katagiri: Mogami, … are you sure you want to be stuck with him forever?
Nervous, Saena: I don't know … I think this will help us tell if we're good together
Katagiri: Mogami, I know you're nervous about this, … you haven't opened your heart for nearly 18 years … it's ok to be happy! … I want you to be happy! … I really do!
Saena looked at Katagiri, and sheepishly nodded, saying: Thank you
Katagiri: alright then, … thanks for letting me know … I'm not going to tell them, you have my word, Todoh!
Todoh: Thank you! … (he looked as Saena) then said: let's get going
Saena nodded and got up when he did
Katagiri: alright, take care you two …
Mrs. Katagiri: I will talk to you two later … take care, and I hope you have a wonderful relationship! … take care of her, and make sure she has a good experience, this time, Todoh!
Todoh: thanks! …
With that, Saena and Todoh left, leaving Katagiri and his wife to talk a little more before they returned home to celebrate the big news
(Thursday – 2 days before the premiere)
Cain and Setsu entered a Café and ordered some drinks … they sat down in a booth seat at the very end of the place
Cain sat and drank his black coffee, while Setsu waited for his smoothie to be made
A few minutes later, Saena and Todoh walked in and sat down, they ordered some green tea and coffee and sat down a few tables away
Naturally, Saena ignored people around her, and didn't judge nor did she bother to look around, so she didn't notice Cain and Setsu at all … she didn't know how they looked, so she had no reason to look anyway
However, Setsu, aka Kyoko noticed them and was nervous for a second … however, looking at Cain made her relax … she got her drink and so she smiled and drank it cheerfully
Saena was on a break, after meeting a client nearby … Todoh was the one who drove her around, and suggested they could eat lunch at this Café
Little did they know, someone was following them, and they finally got tired and decided to confront them
Nanami walked into the Café and walked to their table and said: we need to talk!
Todoh got up and said: we're not interested!
Nanami: you think I can't tell the world that you two are sleeping with one another!
Todoh: why should they care? … it's our business, to begin with!
Nanami: I knew it! … you are sleeping together! … you shameless ….
Saena interrupted: stop assuming things about me … and, it's really none of your business!
Nanami got closer to Saena, which caused Todoh to be protective, and sat beside Saena … the closer he was, the easier it was for him to protect her
Annoyed, Todoh demanded: leave us alone!
Nanami invite herself to sit facing them … much to their dismay … she then said: you think you can fool me?! … You dating, aren't you … you're already trying to replace my son with this freak!
Todoh: again, it's none of your business … we're both adults, and we can do whatever we please!
Nanami shouted: Over my dead body … My granddaughter won't live under the same roof as you two … stop corrupting her … it's enough!
People in the café looked at them, some were annoyed, while others became curious about what was going on
Todoh sighed and said: leave us alone! … I think you were already served your papers!
Nanami: You think you can Shut me up?! … I won't stop until I expose you! … I'm not done yet!
Casual, Todoh said: I doubt it!
Saena: if you don't leave us alone, then I will request a restraining order against you, … you already assaulted us once, and we have proof of your actions, … it won't be hard at all!
Nanami: playing with the law, I see … you think you are above it or something?!
Todoh: we're not you!
Saena: leave us alone, please!
Nanami noticed some people were looking at them, so she raised her voice, saying: How could you treat me like this … I was nothing be generous to you as your mother in law!
Enraged, Todoh shouted: what kind of crap are you spewing?!
Saena raised her voice as well, saying: you were never my in-law, and never will be … stop claiming things and trying to look like a victim!
Nanami: You had a child with my precious son, that enough to make me your mother-in-law
Todoh: that's not how it works … in-laws are only said when two people get married under the rule of law, … they are considered legally bonded as a family, and therefore they become family by law! … that's not the case here!
Saena: I'm curious, …. please enlighten me of how generous were you… because the only things I got from meeting you were an injury and a handful of colorful insults!
Nanami: didn't my son treat you well when he was with you?!
Todoh: I'm sure you don't want to go there … plus, I don't see how you call your son precious when you threw him under the bus for all this chaos!
Nanami: I'm doing it for him! … he deserves to have his daughter by his side …you can't brainwash her and make her lie to the whole world, making you look like the innocent one!
Todoh looked at Saena and ask: was she watching the same interview, we watched?
bemused, Saena: I don't even know …
Nanami slammed her hand on the table and said: Enough! … Look! … I will make your life a living hell on earth if you don't give me my granddaughter back!
Todoh: she was never yours, to begin with! … you never had her, to get her back!
Nanami: You shut the hell up before I stuff your mouth with trash! … go die in a ditch or something, … no one wants you around!
Todoh chuckled making her even more furious
Saena: I think I made it clear, she has the final say in who she wants to meet! … and I know you got her response, so save your threats, because you're not going to force me to do something against her will!
Nanami screamed: You brainwashed her, you think I will take her response as genuine?! … think again Bitch! … you whore! … you seduced my son and forbid him from seeing his one and only daughter … not only that! … you're a witch! … you probably cursed him, which is why his wife keeps miscarrying girls because you want him to be miserable!
Todoh stood and said: if you think this is going to work, think again … I will be seeing you in court, and I will make sure you take everything back!
Nanami: that's not going to work on me! … loser! … you have no power over me!
At this point, Setsu's soul escaped Kyoko … she was disheartened hearing all those insults being hurled at her mother, who suffered so much because of those people … she was really upset at this point, and she couldn't think of anything, so she wanted to leave before she loses it
Annoyed, Cain: Let's go somewhere else, this place is noisy
Kyoko nodded
Cain: it's ok Setsu … I will get you a better smoothie from somewhere else … I'm sure they will have something you like!
Kyoko looked at Cain and regained some of her strength, then got Setsu's soul to come back, as she stood, picked up her smoothie, and intended to storm out of the place
Cain got up too and walked behind her
As Setsu was heading to the door, an older lady stood up as she tried to grab the hot green tea to spill it on the woman seating in front of her
Setsu took over completely as she held her drink forward and bumped into the old lady
The whole place heard a loud shriek … as the older lady felt the ice-cold beverage drip all over her back
She touched her back to feel a slimy texture, … so, she got really upset and looked behind her to see an annoyed young woman who was dressed in goth standing with her hands crossed
Nanami: How dare you! … you ruined my dress! … do you know home much this cost me!
Setsu who was unimpressed said as she sneered: probably less than my drink that you spilled!
Outraged, Nanami: how dare you compare a mere 4$ drink to a dress that is worth over $3500!
Setsu raised an eyebrow, still unimpressed, she countered: this is not 4$ … this is worth millions because my Nii-san bought it for me!
Nanami looked baffled and said: get over yourself … I bought this from the US! … from the city of Fashion, New York!
Setsu: I'm pretty sure that's Milan and not New York … Americans sure think they are the best at everything!
Nanami: Sure, we are … who do you think you are! … you lowly Japanese twerp?! … I need the manager of this place … they have to make sure people dressed like you don't come in and ruin our day!
Setsu wondered: what do normal people call some like her? … American Karens?
Everyone in the place started laughing … with Todoh and Saena trying their best to hide their smiles
Nanami: I'm not a white lady! … I'm of Japanese descendent
Setsu: Cut the crap old hag! … if you just called me a lowly Japanese, then what are you?! … plus, I'm sure we were here first! … so, get lost!
Nanami: what kind of language are you using … where is your respect, haven't your father raised you?!

Nanami looked up to see a dark and scary man looking at her like she's a mere bug … she took a step or two backward, shrinking herself down, and looking away nervously … feeling scared and threatened
Cain narrowed his eyes glaring at the old woman hatefully, then spoke in English, saying: Move before I rip you apart old hag!
Nanami took a few steps back in sheer terror
Setsu: Nii-san, I'm tired!
Cain held her hand, saying: Setsu, are you sure you don't want a new drink? … I can juice her of every penny she has for wasting your precious drink!
Setsu: No thanks, … I don't want anything from her or her dirty money … I just want to go home!
Cain smiled and nodded: sure!
He looked at Nanami again, and said: why are you still here?! … do you have a death wish?!
Nanami shook her head as she stumbled while taking a few more steps back … before turning around and rushing through the door … leaving the store in sheer terror … she never met a man that looked at her like that … the looks alone could have killed her … she valued her life way too much to confront someone like him, so she walked away and didn't look back
Cain took Setsu's hand in his lovingly and said: let's get going! … (then they left without looking back)
Saena heard the name Setsu, and realized that Kyoko was right before her, just seconds ago … she sounded and dressed way different, and if she didn't hear the name, she would never have guessed it was Kyoko
Todoh was finally able to laugh a little, but his mood was already fouled by Nanami, so he suggested they go elsewhere, and Saena agreed
As they paid and walked out, … Todoh asked: doesn't she seem familiar, that girl with an odd outfit
Saena looked at him with a confused look
Todoh: she sounded like Kyoko … but her tone was different, is this her new role or something?
Saena didn't know if she could confirm it or not, so she didn't say anything
Todoh: maybe I'm wrong … but I think they did great against that old lady … I wish we could've thanked them

The elevator door opened, so Setsu and Cain got on, and pressed the button for their floor … the doors closed, and the elevator went up … once they arrived, Setsu walked out, followed by Cain … she bumped into a young girl, … but she didn't apologize … she hurried into her room and closed the door as soon as Cain joined her in
Mark wanted to approach Setsu and demand an apology for his sister, but with one look from Cain he froze and decided to stay out of trouble
Diana: let's go!
Mark: are you ok?
Diana: I'm fine … let's just stay away from them, they look like trouble
Mark: They look gothic, and scary … I would demand an apology, but I was afraid we'd get hurt instead! … and I didn't want to put you in danger!
Diana: maybe they're a couple that likes to dress alike, … to all their own, honestly!
Mark: yeah … let us go! … and make sure to avoid them whenever possible!

Concerned, Cain: are you ok?
Kyoko broke out of character and said: so that was her, behind all the news … and insults! … and assaults … I never wanted to meet her!

Kyoko looked at Cain, then said: your right! … I'm glad she was on my side … I would have blown my cover if it wasn't for her!
Ren: I wanted to laugh so hard, but Cain doesn't really laugh … does he?
Kyoko: I'm sorry I broke out of character … (Setsu took over) and said: I'm back!
Cain: You did well Setsu! … You made a fool out of her, and that was well deserved
Setsu: you can count on me! … since I learned from the best!
Cain put his hand on her head, and gave her a loving gaze, then said: you can relax … we'll stay here together, and I won't let anyone bother us!
Setsu: I'd love that

Setsu cooked dinner, and they both ate, then showered, and were finally ready for bed
Cain laid in bed, one hand under his head, while the other on his chest
Setsu got out of the bathroom, and said: you're not asleep?
Cain: I was waiting for you …
Setsu looked at him and smiled, then asked slyly: what? … you want to share a bed again?
Cain smiled and said: that's a great idea!
Kyoko froze in place, screaming internally as she was outraged by Setsu's boldness … she tried to convince Setsu to go to her own bed, but … Setsu had other plans
Setsu bravely and shamelessly crawled in his bed, then said: this bed is comfy!
Cain was surprised she got in his bed that fast … he assumed she would malfunction, as she did once before
Ren was sure something changed and was happy with that change… although a part of him was still worried she didn't see him as a man, and only trusted him because he's Corn
Setsu closed her eyes, while Kyoko's heart was almost beating so loud it could burst out of her chest … she was rethinking her actions (can I say it's too cramped and go back to my bed)
She attempted to say something, but when Cain put his hand around her waist and said: good night, …. she gave up that thought
She tried to calm herself down, and let Setsu take over, … hoping she could Relax a little
But Setsu wasn't going to make it easy on her … she put her hand on Cain's and said: I like this … it's warm and cozy!
Ren wondered if it was Kyoko or Setsu talking … it sounded like Setsu because he knew that Kyoko wasn't ready
Setsu swiftly basked in the warmness and closed her eyes as she said: Good night Nii-san
She was mentally exhausted today, so she surprisingly drifted away into dreamland soon after
Cain … or rather Ren, found it harder to fall asleep, however … his thoughts were fighting between Kyoko and Setsu … their actions … and them being one and the same
Kyoko was in bed with him, … she, or rather Setsu joined him on her own accord, … and she was comfortably sleeping unlike the last time they slept in one bed
He was feeling a little hot with the idea that Kyoko is sleeping next to him … she fit comfortably in his arms, and it felt right … as if she was destined to be there … like she belonged in his arms
However, he also felt a little nervous, as his body was reacting … he tried to suppress those emotions knowing nothing intimate would happen between them, not now … and especially not when she's a minor
He liked this progress, but needed to hold himself back … however with her hand on his, he didn't move away, … he was very comfortable laying down next to her … and although he had a hard time falling asleep in the beginning, exhaustion got the best of him eventually, so he too fell asleep
(The Next Day)
Kyoko slowly opened eyes, to find herself facing her idol … her favorite fairy, and the most handsome man on earth … he was sleeping peacefully beside her, and it took her all her power and boldness to stay calm in this situation
Her heart was racing a million miles an hour … and all she wanted to do was to jump out of bed and run into the bathroom locking herself in, but … a part of her wanted to remain there, … in a comfortable and warm place … somewhere safe, in her beloved arms
She looked at his face, and admired its features … she might not be able to see his green eyes with his eyes closed, but she knew they were there … she admired his long lashes … many Asians would be envious to have those long lashes … she admired his long slender nose, as he breathed evenly beside her … then her eyes wandered to his lips
She thought (they look so soft and kissable!)
She freaked out on herself for thinking that, as she rebuked herself (what in the world are you thinking?! … what are you saying, Kyoko! … you're a pure maiden, who shouldn't be thinking those lewd thoughts! … sure, he said he likes you, but he wouldn't do that… right?)
Her memory traveled back to the past … when he kissed her cheek, thanking her for his valentine wine jelly … then … her mind went a little forward … to her chance meeting with her fairy Corn, in Guam and their amazing time together … then she remembered when he tricked her into kissing him as to purify him from his curse… she was so nervous she couldn't muster enough confidence to do it right … getting just close enough for a brief touch …
But Then, … when the sun started setting, and their time together neared the end … he Kissed her! … then promised to meet again, which he did … in reality, they met a few hours later … but if it's as himself, then it happened when he revealed his true identity and past, then confessed his love for her
Her mind was stuck thinking about that kiss … it was only a couple of seconds, but it shocked her … she didn't regret it ... No … she didn't hate it, either … in fact, it made her weirdly happy
Her kiss can barely be called one, but his kiss was more passionate … she thought (what did that kiss mean? … Alas, I don't even remember how it felt because I was so shocked then … He also said he loved me back then, but I denied him because I really thought he was a fairy … thinking fairies and humans can never make it work … but did he mean it, even back then?)
As she was lost in thought … while staring at his lips, Ren was slowly waking up … he looked at her and thought (Is she staring at me?!)
He quickly closed his eyes and tried to pretend he was still asleep hoping she didn't notice
Still lost in thought … her mind kept asking questions and thinking about both Ren, and Kuon's confession in his place, and in Guam
She raised her hand, and used her index finger to trace his features … she went from his forehead to his eye … to his nose … then to his lips … her finger lingered there a bit longer
Ren who was actually awake, … was shocked, to say the least … his mind was wondering if it was Kyoko … or if Setsu had taken over … (as Kyoko reached his lips) … he had to do his utmost best not to kiss her finger, fearing it would lead her to freak out
Kyoko's thoughts went back to his lips, and how kissable they were … but then the pure part of her reminded her that she could wake him up and get in trouble, so she withdrew her hand and closed her eyes, pretending to sleep
She decided to act like she was flipping over and "fall off the bed" … but before she could fall, Ren caught her
She froze, while her mind screamed freaking out while thinking (WAS HE AWAKE?!)
Ren winced as he thought (Damn it! … she will freak out … think of any excuse)
He used his actor skills to pretend he was half asleep and explained that her sudden moving away caught him off guard
He avoided using "light sleeper" because he knew she think that she woke him up, and wouldn't ever live it down
Kyoko believed that he was half-asleep, as he looked confused and lost for a second … then went back to sleep
She got up, went to the bathroom, changed, then started breakfast
Shortly after, she woke him up
They ate breakfast together, … both using Cain and Setsu as a shield to hide their thoughts and questions … and with that, there was little to no awkwardness
Setsu was glad her brother Cain welcomed her in his bed and didn't make her feel weird about it … and was also grateful he did NOT suggest they do that all the time
They went out and about again on their mini dates, ignoring their "meeting with the cast" before the premiere
The director called them, but Setsu said they weren't interested in mingling with the cast, which outraged Murasame the most
Most of the cast didn't mind if the Heel siblings didn't join, because they just feared them, and never got along, so they didn't care much … but Murasame was upset and it took a lot of effort to calm him down
(The Night of the Premiere)
Setsu and Cain knew that had to get out of their room by 7 pm
Cain got into a suit-like outfit … He wore all black but kept his hair messy
Meanwhile, Kyoko got into the Dress Ten gave her … It fit Setsu's image perfectly
It was a Red and black, knee-length dress … it gave a goth vibe, but still looked classy … it had ruffles on her shoulders and waist … she wore long heel-boots that went well with the dress
She didn't do much with her hair … but made it look neat enough, but still gave Setsu her iconic look
Cain looked at his precious sister and wished that he told Ten to give her something less revealing, not only to protect Kyoko from preying eyes … but for his sake as well
He secretly cursed the president once again
Setsu smiled and asked: Ready?
Cain complained: can't we be late, I'm not into those types of events?!
Setsu: let me celebrate your success Ni-san! … you look as handsome as always, … I'm going to show you off to everyone! …yet won't allow anyone to touch you!
Cain smiled, then said: as long as you're by my side, I will go anywhere with you!
They left their room, hand in hand … looking closer than ever
Diana got out of her room once Hiroki knocked … they were both going to the premiere together, with mark, their friends … and his parents
Once they greeted one another, they noticed a door opening, leading Diana to hide behind Hiroki, as a large man walked out with his women
Hiroki: who are they?
Diana: I don't know … but they seem Dangerous!
Cain and Setsu went into the elevator and went down … leading Diana and Hiroki to get into the room, and head to the window … they waited until they saw the couple walk out of the hotel and into a long Limo
Diana: are they celebrities?
Hiroki: are they going to the same premiere we're attending?
Diana: that's very possible!
(The Red Carpet)
Murasame arrived with a friend … they waved to the crowd and then posed for pictures … Murasame stopped to talk to the reporters and answer some questions
Manaka arrived with her friend as well … she did the same, posed for pictures … then answered some questions … she then joined Murasame and they both took pictures together … posting them on their social media, celebrating their movie premiere
More cast members arrived, and did the same, posed then answering questions
At the same time, many of the people who bought tickets, and got exclusive access arrived… they got to see the stars up-close, and wave to them
Many girls screamed when they saw Murasame … who was glad he was popular enough, … he smiled and waved to the crowd, making them scream even louder
Among the people who got exclusive access were Hiroki, Diana, Mark, and their friends … along with Miyasaki parents … not far behind them, was Momose, and now boyfriend, Kazumi
Saena and Todoh also arrived, but they stayed behind … they didn't want to be lumped in with the screaming crowds … however, they had a clear view of the venue and the stars coming one after another
After most of the stars arrived, people assumed everyone arrived … however, little did they know the star antagonist was still on his way to the red carpet
The Limo arrived, to much of the surprise of many … only the cast and reporters knew who those were … the door was opened, and out came a tall well-built man … He held out his hand, to his sister, how took his hand and slowly exited the car
The brother-sister due walked on the Red carpet slowly, yet ignoring requests to pose for pictures … Setsu looked at the photographers and stuck out her tongue, before hugging her brother's arm as he walked past the reporters asking questions about his work in the movie, and names of his previous works
Murasame would have shouted at them, but he knew better to behave in front of the camera … Cain and Setsu walked by the stars who gathered for a group picture, but they ignore them too and got into the venue building without a single word of acknowledgment to the rest of the cast
Murasame tried to act like the better person, and they all took group pictures … then he went into the Venue… Murasame tried to get to the pair, but couldn't figure out where they went
Hiroki, Diana, and mark were shocked to see the couple arrive at the premiere's red carpet and wondered about their identities
Saena recognized Setsu and Cain, … knowing about Kyoko's job beforehand, Todoh however was surprised, so he asked: so, that why she's busy
Saena: who knows … I will neither confirm nor deny
Todoh chuckled and said: oh well … it doesn't really matter, does it … but if it was indeed her, … then she did great with that old hag!
Saena smiled and nodded without saying anything
As they let the audience in… people head to the big Cinema hall and took their seats … the stars got the front seats … while the audience sat behind them, in their assigned seats
People were allowed to buy popcorn, food, and soda before getting to their seats … the lines were long, but the staff was well prepared, so the lines went by steadily
Saena stood next to Todoh who suggested they get some popcorn
As people came out to stand in line, the lines got much longer … Kioshi and Anna decided to buy the snacks for themselves and the kids, so they went out as well … as they walked to the back of the line, Kioshi spotted two familiar figures … and was shocked to see them together in a movie theater …
Anna pinched her husband and walked to the back faster
Kioshi: ouch! … what was that for?!
Anna: Don't stare … It's really not your business who goes out with who … ok?
Kioshi: but, I thought …
Anna: Things might have changed … we don't see them every day, and frankly, they look good together!
Upset, Kioshi: I don't think so … besides!
Annoyed, Anna: besides what?!
Kioshi: I just think he's a weirdo and I hate him?!
Anna: ok, so?! … what's your point?! … she has her own life and can be with whoever she wants … you, of all people, can't tell her who she can be with, … so suck it up!

As people return to the Cinema hall, got to their seats, and got ready for the movie premiere … the people upfront started to get ready for the introduction
The lights were dimmed … and the show was ready to start …. Director Konoe stood up and introduced himself to the crowd, he then introduced the stars of the movie … the seated crowd cheered in anticipation for the movie
When Cain Heel was introduced, everyone looked around to see where he was … At some point, Murasame spotted Cain and Setsu seated in the back, eating popcorn and drinking their drinks without a care in the world
To the left of Cain and Setsu, Saena and Todoh arrived … they saw the weirdly dressed duo, but didn't comment, they both sat down quietly … with Setsu seated next to Saena
To their right, Hiroki, Diana, Mark, and their other friends arrived at their seats … Diana allowed Hiroki to take her seat next to Cain because she was too afraid of him
Most people were seated at this point, and the hall darkened completely in preparation for the movie premiere
The movie started with an introduction to the story … then it started, with a couple of nice and peaceful scenes before a horrific scary storm hit
After watching two-thirds of the movie, Setsu was ready to leave … she wasn't really into scary movies, and she was getting a little anxious … she whispered to her brother, asking if they could take a break … He got up, took her hand and walked out … not caring about the people watching the movie around them
Murasame who was watching them for some time, saw them leave, … but, he decided to watch a little longer before confronting them
They walked in the hallways … as Setsu wanted some fresh air after being stuck in a room full of people, … she needed some alone time with her Nii-san, and she decided she wasn't going back to the hall to watch the rest of the movie
(Backstage)
A senior member of the staff took Diana and Hiroki to the medical room, … as Diana wasn't feeling too well, … her stomach was acting up, and she started having a fever, so she needed to leave the Cinema hall to rest … Hiroki told Mark that he can watch the movie, while he helped Diana out
They entered a big room that looked like a guest room, it had a TV, a couch, and a table in the middle … but they were led to the door-less room behind it, that had a bed … a staff member called on a doctor who was hired in case of people faint or feel ill, who checked Diana and told her to rest … giving her some pain relief, and fever-reducing medicine
Hiroki stuck by her side, as he held her hand while she rested on the bed … the doctor closed the light, to make sure Diana had a good environment to rest
Meanwhile, Setsu and Cain arrived backstage … they looked around for their room, but couldn't find it, so they asked where their room was
A new member of the staff who was so terrified of them read the room number wrong, so he took them to the medical room instead of their own
Hiroki heard a staff member say: this is your room … if you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask for help, with that … he closed the door and ran off without giving them a chance to ask anything
Unimpressed, Cain commented: is this really our room?!
Setsu complained: This is tacky and ugly! … what the hell?!
Cain: I assume there is some kind of mistake!
Setsu: well, who cares …if true, it's him who is the blame anyway!
Cain scoffed: what a coward!
Setsu sat on the Sofa, and her brother joined her shorty
Cain put his legs on the table and relaxed, … he was happy the main ordeal was over, but most importantly, Setsu was there by his side
They sat down in silence for a few minutes, before they spoke again
Setsu: you were great! … if the movie wasn't so terrifying, I would have watched it till the end
Cain: They used a lot of CG in this, I almost couldn't tell it was me anymore!
Setsu: Is that a good thing?! … I don't want the CG to take away your credits for all the hard work!
Cain: It's fine … I knew those parts would be like that … it adds to the fear element
Setsu: as long as you are fine with it!
Cain smiled and said: I'm glad you're here with me … I couldn't do this without you!
Setsu: Ni-san! … I was glad you let me join you
Cain: I wouldn't have come without you, Setsu!
Setsu: yeah … you couldn't possibly leave me, your precious sister alone!
Cain: and I wouldn't want to celebrate my success without you by my side
Setsu leaned on her brother and said: I'm tired … who knew this can be exhausting!
Cain: unfortunately, it's not over yet!
Setsu: really?! … are they going to keep you working and leave me waiting for longer?!

Hiroki and Diana recognized those two … they heard Cain call the girl who sat next to Him Setsu, … and she called him Ni-san when she asked to leave
They wondered why they looked like a couple when the girl called the guy Ni-san, which meant older brother
Diana knew that it was different in Japanese compared to Korea, where girls called boys "Oppa" if they are their boyfriend or older brother … but in Japan, girls didn't do that, "Ni-san" strictly meant older brother, at least in their experience and knowledge
They felt a little weird about it … and wondered if they should stay in that room, … Diana did need to rest, but they didn't want to be eavesdropping on them, especially since Cain looked like a scary and mean dude!
In the same, they couldn't just appear out of nowhere, so they stayed put and tried to pay no attention to the people sitting outside their room
After a short moment of silence, … Setsu remembered something important, … that was requested from her to do, by the president … Kyoko was sweating on the inside, she was worried about that all week, but now was the time, so she allowed Setsu to take charge and do it for her since it was her objective to complete.
She didn't know how she wanted to reward Cain for a while, but at some point, she got an idea, and so she decided to reward Cain with it … no one told her what kind of reward she should give him, so this was all her idea
Setsu: Say Ni-san … since we're alone here, I wanted to give you something!
Cain raised an eyebrow and asked: you want to give me something?
Setsu: well, … more like … reward you for this success!
Cain: you didn't have to, … frankly, you being here is all I need! … you're the best reward I can ever get because you're my precious little sister, who I love the most!
Sulking, Setsu insisted: I still want to reward you!
Cain smiled and asked: well then, … what's my reward?!
Cain knew that she didn't bring much with her, just her little tiny purse, with makeup inside … he wondered if she put something in it beforehand
However, Setsu tossed her bag on the ground and got up from the couch … while Cain had his eyes glued to her … following her every move
Setsu proceeded to sit in his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck … which surprised him, but he did everything in his power not to look surprised, as Cain would stay calm no matter what happens, and Ren really didn't want to break out of character, as he didn't want to disappoint his sister again
Setsu look at Cain, her face inches away from his … but at this point, Kyoko was slightly in Control … She was still Setsu, but … Kyoko's thoughts were stronger … perhaps they had equal control
Cain looked into Setsu's eyes and searched them for answers, he wanted to know what this reward is, … his mind was leading him somewhere based on her latest actions … but Ren deep down didn't want to get his hopes up way too soon
Setsu, or rather Kyoko looked at Cain … her eyes met his … but then she looked at his lips … her thoughts went back to her wishes of knowing how it felt to kiss Tsuraga Ren… or rather her brother Cain … the same person, but still … she wanted to know how it felt
She deeply regretted not remembering how it felt when Corn kissed her before he left that night in Guam … she was too shocked to comprehend what happened … again, she never regretted that kiss, but at the same time, it meant more to her now, then it did then
Setsu/Kyoko bit her lip nervously … her thoughts went through her own experience, which equaled to null … zero … even though she attempted to kiss Corn in Guam, she herself could hardly consider it as one since they barely touched … she wanted a do-over … another chance, but she still had no idea how to initiate a good kiss
She as Kyoko with no experience didn't have the confidence to do a good job, … as she already botched the Hickey that night … she wanted to do it right, but was too afraid to ask him for advice
Cain raised an eyebrow and asked: still undecided on the reward?!
Setsu: No! … I …
Cain smiled and said: No need to force yourself … we can go on a date after this if you want … that would be a reward I would enjoy very much
Setsu bit her lip once more, … debating on whether she should accept his proposal and settle for a date instead, … but Kyoko was against it … she already made her mind on the type of reward she would give Cain, and she wouldn't allow anyone to change her mind
Kyoko tried to talk Setsu into it by thinking (This is your chance! … you can get a valued experience from this, which will help us in the future! … we need to do this! … Setsu, you're the only one I can depend on!)
Kyoko knew that she was being impure with her thoughts, and no matter how much her angels were telling her to wait for the right time, she ignored them, and listen to her desires … she wanted to reward Cain, and … she would be getting something out of it
Confused, Cain called: Setsu?!
Setsu smiled slyly then said: A date sounds great, … but not before the real reward!
Setsu smirked, as she closed her eyes and planted a playful kiss on his lips
Cain's mind was blown … along with his character … and now, Cain was no longer in control at this point … who had all control was in fact, Kuon!

Well …nice cliffhanger, don't you think? … I personally think so myself, … I planned this for weeks and I'm happy I got it written down how I wanted to
So, Setsu … aka … Kyoko kissed Cain … aka Ren, or Kuon … she finally listened to her desires and went for it … was she wrong to do that? … how will people going to react to it, … like the people in the room?! … all that and more in the next chapter
