Chapter Four

Forks, Washington – Forest
Leah Clearwater (F)

It felt so weird being back home after it was razed to the ground during the Decade of Astaroth. The trees, the animals, even the sky looked different under the peacefulness of it all…

It was nice.

And being here with my little vamps made it all the better.

"Wow…It's all so pretty," Bree said happily. "It's nothing like our old world."

She was reborn during the whole DoA saga and she really didn't get a chance to experience all of this like Ally or I could. Just seeing the awed look on her face at the various sounds and green made my heart break and warm at the same time.

"Well once we get fully to my old home, you can finally meet my brother Seth," I told her with a grin.

"Seth…I hope he likes me," Bree said nervously.

"I think he will. Trust me," I replied as the two of us stepped past the treaty line. There is no telling when they would arrive now.

Sam always had a freaky sixth sense when a Vampire crossed this line.

The two of us continued to walk through the forest until I caught a very familiar scent and grinned. "Hey Jake!" I yelled out.

The large russet brown wolf walked out into the clearing and I could hear his brain short circuiting in his head. "Stay here Bree," I told her as marched to Jake and bobbed him on the head and asked "Mind switching back so we can talk like adults please?"

The wolf huffed but I knew it would have been a snort if he was human and without hesitation, he morphed back into his human form. The minute he did, I heard Bree gasp before she most likely turned away.

"Okay…I'm confused…I just saw you near the house a few minutes ago with Seth. Also, what's with the baby vamps?" Jake asked.

"Long story but she's my kid," I replied with a proud tone in my voice.

Jake blinked.

"Careful Jake. I can see the smoke rising from your head," I teased before getting serious. "I'll explain more when we get to La Push but trust me. You guys are going to learn a lot."

"You know she can't go to La Push Leah…" Jake said with an unsure look.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot. He was still Seth's bitch before meeting Amazon Vampire…

I hate to do this to you Jake but I have no choice.

I took a breath and allowed the Beast Within to momentarily take control. The world around me began to heat up as my senses increased to greater heights.

The muscles on my body seemed to expand and become more defined and I could feel myself grow taller until I just about towered over him. "Jake, she's going to come with me," I told him with a low growl.

I forgot how deep my voice could get when I get like this.

"W-What the hell Leah?!" Jake gasped out.

I could feel the confusion and terror in radiating off of him.

"She comes with or I'll tear you and anyone that gets in my way apart and you don't want to know what I've learned," I warned him with a blood thirst smirk.

"O-Okay…" Jake stammered.

I grinned and with some difficulty, I began to shrink until I was back to normal. I looked at my clothes and thankfully, nothing had ripped. "Come on kiddo," I told Bree as I looked back at her with a smile.

She smiled back and ran to my side. I ruffled her hair and began to walk. I then paused and looked back at Jake, who seemed frozen in his spot.

Oh yeah…I forgot about that…

"Oi! Hurry up!" I shouted.

Jake snapped to attention and quickly joined my side and we continued on our way.

After a good while of walking, the familiar view of La Push came into view and felt that familiar ache fill my heart.

Home…

Hasn't changed a bit.

I took Bree's hand and let Jake take lead but as we got closer, I can smell the familiar scents congregating near the entrance of La Push and when I looked up, agitation and confusion was sensed.

Heh.

At least everyone is here.

Jake stopped, which caused both Bree and I to stop as well and the first face I saw was the stunned face of…Me.

"W-What the hell?" Past me stammered out. "T-This…"

I observed my past self and said "Man…I really look like a stick…"

"Hey! Who you calling a stick?!" Past me yelled angrily.

"You," I replied with a grin before I flexed my right arm, showing the defined muscle.

If Ally was here, she'd be fawning over it.

"Soak it in Honey," I taunted my past self with a cheeky smirk. "This is what perfection looks like."

I then noticed something…Seth and Bree were staring at each other. Seth then gave her a toothy smile and Bree responded with a goofy looking smile as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, a habit she must have learned from Ally.

"Hi," the two said in unison before looking away.

Past me and I exchanged a confused look but before I could comment on it, I heard Sam's stern voice ask "How is this possible?"

I looked at Sam and felt a frown appear on my face.

Man…He has not changed…Then again, he was at his peak asshole levels during this time in my life.

"A lot is possible in this world Uley," I replied. "Now, can we go the usual meeting area? I got a lot of shit to talk about and we are in a little bit of a crunch."

"We can but she cannot," Sam said, referring to my Lil Vamps. I let out a sigh and began to advance towards Sam, keeping myself as weak looking as possible, very aware that Jake's eyes were locked on my movement.

"I don't know how this is possible but your scent tells me that you're Leah so you should know the ru-" Without hesitation, I decked Sam hard in the face, sending him sailing past the group and crashing against a tree.

"What the hell?!" Everyone shouted as I slipped my hand back into my pocket.

It was then I heard the familiar sound of clothes ripping and when I turned my head, I saw the large, rage filled oaf known as Paul leaping towards me in his wolf form. I immediately leapt into the air to avoid the oaf and landed a solid right to the wolf's face, sending him skidding against the ground.

Paul rose back up and bared his teeth but I merely grinned and said "Come on boy." Paul launched himself towards me but pulled out my other hand and caught grabbed his jaw with my right hand and his underbelly with my left.

With a twist of my body, I slammed him against the ground hard before I reared my hand back and landed a solid blow to where his heart laid.

Paul whined in pain as he was forcibly changed back into his human form.

I stood up and looked at the stunned faces of Seth, Embry, Quil, Jake and Past me and tucked my hands back into my pockets as I put a foot on Paul's chest. "Anyone else want to tell me what I can and cannot do?" I challenged. "If so, I'll gladly give you all these hands."

"That's definitely you Leah," Seth said with a grin while Past me seemed to be impressed and shocked. I looked at Seth and felt my eyes water but forced that emotion down. Certain reunions needed to wait.

"How about no," Embry said calmly with a smile.

"Good. Go get Sam and pick up this loser and we'll meet at the normal spot. Come on Bree. I want you to meet mom," I told them before I grabbed Bree's hand and started to walk.

"Your mom?" Bree asked curiously.

"Yeah…She was long dead when we met. I want her to meet you. Hopefully she'll be able to meet Ally one day," I responded.

"Wait!" I heard Seth shout out. I turned around to see Seth and Past me running up and grinned a bit. Once they were in front of Bree and I, Seth said "That was so damn cool? How did you do that?"

"I said it's a long story," I replied before I glanced at Past me and said "Once I introduce Bree to mom and we get that stupid meeting done, you and I…And Seth, we're going over to the Cullens."

"The lee…" She paused. She must have noticed the murderous look I had on my face.

Smart.

"You'll understand once I explain," I told Past me. She looked skeptical at first before she gave a shrug.

"Meanwhile…" Seth said as he looked to Bree and said "Hi…names Seth Clearwater."

"I'm Bree Cullen-Clearwater…" She introduced with a smile.

I couldn't help but smile when Bree introduced herself like that.

"Nice name," Seth said. "I um…Couldn't help but notice how cute you are despite being a vampire."

"I could say the same about you," Bree said with a grin that reminded me of myself. "Mom said that wolves smell bad but you smell like Clementine."

"Dude, I love Clementine! They're like the best fruit ever!" Seth exclaimed happily. "The elders said Vampires smell like snow yet you smell like strawberries with a hint vanilla."

"I do?" Bree asked.

Forks, Washington – Cullen Residence
Alice Cullen-Clearwater (F)

"What an eventful night," I said to my team as we sat outside, looking at the stars above.

"Meeting our past selves and recounting our history was not something I thought we'd have to do…" Isabella replied with a frown.

"Do you think they're taking it well?" Charlotte asked.

"I mean, would you if we got dealt with that news?" I asked her.

"No…But I wonder…What does this mean? If we can change the future, does that mean our immediate future ceases to be?" Isabella asked nervously.

"I doubt it," Jasper said. "I think us coming here has branched time. Our time is gone but because we came here and told them about it, we may have created a new timeline."

"Ah, the DBZ Future Trunks Theory," Isabella said with a snort.

"If we can save this time, they won't go through what we did but I wonder…What happens to us Major?" Peter asked.

"We live in a world where we stopped it all from happening," Jasper replied. "And I don't know about you guys but I think I'd consider that a job well done."

It was then I caught the scent of vanilla and knew that my past self was standing behind us. "Can I speak to my future self please?" Past me said.

"Sure, we're going to rent a hotel and stay there for the night," Peter said.

"Oh no you're not! All of you are staying with us!" Esme's voice yelled from inside the house.

Isabella, Jasper and I snorted. "Well that solves that.

"Meanwhile, I'm going to speak to past me," Isabella said as she stood up and walked away.

"I will do the same with my past self," Jasper said as he stood up.

"Hey Emmett, wanna go spar in the forest?!" Peter yelled.

Seconds later, Emmett rushed out of the house with Rosalie in his arms. "Fucking let's go right now!"

Peter grinned and grabbed Charlotte and the four darted out into the forest, leaving me with my past self.

She sat beside me and for a moment, we both sat in silence. "I'm sorry," she said softly. "I shouldn't have yelled at you in there…"

"Forgiven," I replied with a smile.

"I just…Our gift…It meant the world to me," she said with a tone that made me feel sad. It was odd talking to my past self…We were so different now. She was still the confident, shopaholic, ditzy valley girl and I…I'm a mother and a mate to a damn right beautiful woman that was way out of my league that experienced my family being dwindled to a handful…

I experienced loses that hopefully she never will…

"Alice…" I said softly. "I leaned on my gift so much, especially when things started to go down and when I lost it, I went on a spiral that with the help of Leah and Bree, I was able to climb out of it…But it taught me something…We used it selfishly and evilly."

"What?" Alice murmured.

"Think about it. We abused our gift horrible. Any chance we got, we used it to make sure everything went our way or the way that benefitted our family. We would rob them of their choice, good or bad…Do you think that's fair?"

"I did to help our family," Past me said.

"And look where it got you," I replied. "You may not want to hear this but this gift has made you Arrogant…Cocky, feeling as if you're a god. You responding to the loss of your gift reminds me of looking at a mate losing their other half…"

Past me whispered low enough for just for me to hear "I…I wasn't trying to feel that way..."

"But the power of it is addicting," I told her. "Intoxicating…"

She swallowed and nodded.

"But what made it worse is that we used that ability without a care in the world and when it came time for me to use it for good, it was gone and I was left with the weight of it all…The loss of our friends, our family…The near death of the woman I gave my heart too…The near death of my child…I had to deal with that guilt and it damn near destroyed…" I took a unneeded breath and stood up.

"Drinking the blood of a human…You and Jasper mentioned that the reason our gifts were weakened and why yours stopped was because of this diet…So if I start the diet…It can be stronger?" She asked me.

I remained silent at this and said "I need to see my other half and my daughter…But in order to stop what is coming, we will need your abilities to help…And for that, you will need to give up this diet and become what we were meant to be…"

"Then help…Train me…" She said.

"I won't go easy on you," I warned. "I will be brutal and force you to your breaking point…I will shatter everything you are. Are you ready for that?"

It was quiet for a moment before I turned around to look at her. She looked so conflicted, so sad but then I saw determination shine in her eyes. Slowly, she got on her knees and bowed before me, her forehead touching the ground in the move that all vampires knew all too well.

Ultimate submission.

"Very well…I'll give you a week to indulge yourself but after that…" I let the warning be clear before I took a breath and shut my eyes. I quickly located the signature of my daughter and mate and allowed my body to break apart, molecule by molecule.

Forks, Washington – La Push
Leah Clearwater (F)

Holy shit! That's what happened earlier with the stare!

Seth imprinted on my Kid! And she…She….

Life really was not making shit easy…

"Cullen…Wait…" Past me looked at me in alarm and said "She's a part of the Cullen clan? And she shares our name…You weren't kidding when you said she was your kid…"

"We're both the same person, just I'm time displaced," I responded. "You think I would make a claim that bold considering what we lost becoming what we are?"

"No…Which is why I'm so confused," Past me said. "Wait…Time displaced?"

"Look, there is a reason I needed this meeting in the first place but let's just say, our future is fucked," I told her but then I looked to Bree and said "But some things in it is perfect…"

It was then I felt a cold chill from behind me second before my Ally appeared behind me.

"Whoa!" Past me and Seth shouted in unison.

"Hi honey," Ally said with a smile.

"Hey mom!" Bree said happily.

"Mom?" Seth repeated before his eyes widened in absolute disbelief.

Past me seemed shocked as well.

"Did she just call me…you…honey?" Past me asked with confusion.

"Hey," I replied with a smirk. "I wasn't expecting you to appear here."

"I came to check in on you and see if Bree needed to hunt," Ally said as she kissed my lips briefly, not allowing me the chance to return it.

She then glanced at the absolute stunned Past me and Seth and said "Wow…You were cute back then…"

"Trust me, I'm in a rough spot right now," I responded as Past Leah stared at me. "Emotionally I mean."

"I need to sit down," Past me said as she sat down on the ground.

"Well worse now," I added.

"Oh Seth! Wow, I'm so not used to you being my height. I usually had to look up to you," Ally said with a smile. "Hello, hello."

"Hi…" Seth replied with a distant tone before he blinked and said "So now I smell the cold snow…" He then looked back at Bree and asked "I wonder why you smell so different?"

"I don't know," Bree replied thoughtfully.

Ally looked at me in shock and I nodded.

"I didn't even think of this happening…" Ally thought out loud. "But I am getting distracted. Bree, dear, do you need to hunt?"

"I do feel a little bit of something…" Bree replied with a frustrated tone.

"Alright…Time to hunt for some criminals then," Ally said before she kissed my lips again but this time, I was able to return the affectionate kiss and when we broke away, she asked "Will you be coming back to the house?"

"Of course…I'll be bringing these two back with me," I responded.

"Good…We have a lot to talk about when you get back and…considering how I left Alice and your past self's current despondent look, it would do us both some good to have them happy early before we train them to the ground," Ally said with a smile.

"You think I'm gonna train her?" I asked my love with a teasing grin.

"Well her and Seth first and then everyone else," Ally said.

"It depends on if they are dicks or not," I responded honestly. "Now go hunt…And maybe after I come back…" I let a finger trace against her jaw line and she shut her eyes and let out a soft exhale.

"Okay…" she breathed out, lust heavy in her voice before she grabbed Bree's shoulder.

"Bye Seth, I'll see you later!" Bree said with a wide smile and a wave.

"Bye…" Seth said with a small smile on his face, his hand bent up in a slight wave before my mate and my Lil Vamps vanished.

"Just what the fuck?" Past me said softly.

"You're going to have to buck the fuck up Leah," I told my past self angrily. "I know you're hurting about that dickhead and Emily but you need to get past it and fast."

Rain: So this chapter focused primarily on Alice and Leah, with the latter getting a little more screentime. I also hinted at a significant change in Future Leah's abilities. The next chapter will be all about Bella and Isabella..And maybe Charlie as well *wink* until the next one.
