"What do you mean that I have detention!?"

"You kicked a student between his legs. That seems like a reasonable punishment for what you did."

"THAT'S A LOAD OF BULL-" A glare from the blonde Witch-like huntress was enough to shut me up. For a quick chunk of context, I was woken up early from my rest by the one and only Goodwitch. I guess students getting rest isn't that important in beacon. Load of Bull Crap. But anyways; It seems Cardin must have ratted me out for what I did in the cafeteria which is not fair at all!

"I am sorry for raising my voice Ms. Goodwitch but did Cardin tell you what actually was happening? He was bullying Velvet because of her ears! I had to step in." This caused said teacher to take off her glasses and rub the bridge of her nose, giving a long and drawn out sigh.

"I am aware of Mr. Winchester's actions and they will be dealt with accordingly but I can not have my students causing fights in the middle of the cafeteria like a bunch of hooligans." This is some Grade A teacher logic- HES A RACIST!

"Your punishment will not change, but Ms. Scarlatina did tell me to say that she and the rest of team CFVY thank you. I will see you at the end of the day at my classroom. If you don't arrive then it will be an extra three days of detention." She said, putting her glasses back on and turning her back to me. I held my head down and stared down at my feet, sighing.

"……yes ma'am." I said as I heard her walk off to whatever teachers do when they aren't teaching. As soon as I knew she was out of earshot I screamed. That's honestly a load of crap! He was bullying a person and I GET IN TROUBLE AS WELL?! I was literally helping someone! Isn't that what Huntsmen are supposed to do?? All of this is stupid.

"What was that all about?" Poking her head out of the dorm room was Pyrrha, raising an eyebrow as she was currently in her school uniform.

"It's nothing Pyrrha, just got in a bit of trouble because of what happened yesterday." I gave a small smile to which she slowly nodded but looked suspicious. Just then a blur popped out of the door!

"I heard you got detention! Was it because you kicked that one guy yesterday!? He deserved it honestly!" Nora said, a wide smile on her face.

"Nora…. Please calm down." And walking out of the room was the last member of team RRNN, Ren. I laughed and nodded to Nora. "That's honestly exactly why I got detention. And yeah, he deserved it."

"Don't worry!!! The members of team RRNN will fix this!"

"Are you sure this is a good idea Nor-"

"SHUSH REN! I am planning something!"

Pyrrha slowly leaned over to me as we watched the two partners. "You think her plans gonna work whatever it is?" She asked. I chuckled and nodded, a wide smile on my face.

"I dunno. But whatever it is it's gonna be amazing."

"Yes, yes before the Faunus Right Revolution, more popularly known as the Faunus War, humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus Population in Menagerie." Says the teacher, or rather 'Doctor', Bartholomew Oobleck, a spiky green-haired doctor that drinks coffee like he was running out of time in this world but he was just hyped up on coffee. How is this guy not dead… like shouldn't he have a heart attack? Does aura prevent heart attacks? That's a question for another day. Anywho-

"Now, while this might feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember these are relatively recent events. Why the repercussions can still be seen to this day." He then takes another sip of coffee. "Now, have any of you been subjugated or discriminated against due to your Faunus heritage?" Oobleck glided across the classroom while drinking his coffee and looking over his students. Wasn't there that one time that one dude tried to choke me out cause of my ears? I've only been in patch so not many people were against Faunus. Glancing around the room I saw Velvet sitting alone in her chair, slowly raising her hand. God I feel bad for her…

"Guys I'll be right back." I whispered to my team, pointing to the alone rabbit girl. Ren and Pyrrha gave a nod. Nora was….. asleep. I sighed as I quickly changed seats, going from one spot of the classroom to the other side. I don't think Oobleck noticed.

"Pssst. Pssssst. Do you mind if I sit here?" I whispered as I looked to Velvet. She jumped a bit before recognizing me, giving a slow nod as I slowly pulled open a chair, quickly sitting down. I could hear Cardin whispering something about Two Animals or something. Having Fox ears made listening way much easier as I'm guessing no one else heard him. I did see Blake's eye twitch in annoyance.

I felt a poke on my shoulder as a small piece of paper was slid to me. 'Why did you walk all the way over here?'

I blinked as I began to write down my response. 'You seemed lonely. Thought you could use a friend. If you want me to move I will.'

It took a bit for Velvet to write me a response, she just kinda stared down at the paper before quickly writing something down. She poked my shoulder again. 'Oh you don't have to leave. Also you didn't have to help out yesterday. I was fine'

Well that was a lie. I quickly began to write down something, trying to write something down before Oobleck notic-

"Do you know the answer Mr. Redwood?" Oh you mother-

"I'm gonna be 100 percent truthful, I wasn't listening. What was the question again?" I heard a few chuckles, mainly coming from Team RWBY and my Team. A smile spread across Oobleck's face as he looked at me.

"At least you were honest Mr. Redwood. The question was can you tell me what many theorists believe to be the major turning point in the third year of the war?"

I REMEMBER THIS FROM THE SHOW! HAHA USELESS KNOWLEDGE!!

"Battle of… Fort Something? Fort Castle?" I DON'T ACTUALLY REMEMBER BUT I BELIEVE THAT WAS RIGHT!

"That is absolutely correct Mr. Redwood! And please try to pay more attention in class!" Well crap… I guess I'm not as sneaky as I thought I was. Some time went by as I sat quietly, not really paying much attention to the class. Something about a previous war, the establishment of Menagerie, and all that stuff.

"Now, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus have over General Laguna's forces?" He asked, waiting for a student to volunteer. Now I knew the answer to this question because trying to get sleep with night vision is like trying to sleep with a light on. It just doesn't work and it sucks. But I didn't want to answer the question cause I'm lazy. But of course, Weiss knew the answer. Because…. it's Weiss. She knows everything apparently.

"The answer would be Night Vision. Most if not all Faunus have the ability of night vision."

"Correct Ms. Schnee!" Oobleck said as I gave a thumbs up to Weiss. I went back to focus before a piece of paper hit me in my fox ear, which if you don't know are super sensitive. Like seriously just a bug touching it drives me insane. I whipped around, staring daggers at the smirking Cardin. Before I could say anything a Green blur stopped by us.

"Mr. Cardin. Mr. Redwood. I believe it would be best if you settled your little rivalry in Ms. Goodwitch's class. Hm?" He said, sipping his coffee. Cardin rolled his eyes and reclined in his chair. "Don't worry about it. And plus the Snowflake is wrong. The reason Laguna lost was because it's much easier to train animals than soldiers."

"That's a lot coming from the guy who has the brain of a rat in the body of an ugly ape." I muttered under my breath. Cardin slammed his hands on his desk and stared at me. "What did you just say-"

"That's enough. If you wish to fight then do it in Ms. Goodwitch's class. I will not have you two interrupting mine." Oobleck zooms down to his desk, "So! With that, class dismissed, except Mr. Winchester, since you seem so uninterested in class, you can learn by yourself this evening." the bell rang, and good, because the rest of the class couldn't stop laughing at the misfortune of the brute, who was growling in fury.

"Well that went better than I imagined."

"Way to go Robbie! I can't believe you actually stood up for yourself." The blonde brawler said, a bright smile on her face.

"I'll have you know Yang that I stand up for myself a lot thank you very much." I rolled my eyes as I closed my locker and sheathing my swords. She laughed and patted me on the back. "Soooo… what's up with you and that cute bunny girl?" Yang asked with a smirk.

"Nothing Yang. Don't try and start any rumors. I know where you sleep." I said with a smirk as she rolled her eyes in scoffed. "Okay… Okay…. But you and the champion."

"I SWEAR YANG-"

"What are you talking about? Are you implying that I, Yang Xiao Long, am saying that you have a little crush on the cute bunny girl? Insane! Incomprehensible! Literally never in my life!"

"You are so freaking weird." I said as she gave a laugh. The other members of both our teams walked into the locker rooms and started to get dressed.

"Hey if Cardin is giving you trouble then you should tell us." My partner said with a smile. "It's fine. And hey. That ape's got nothing on me!" I said with a confident smile.

"If you say so. We are still going to train after you get out of detention right?" Pyrrha asked as I gave a nod. I heard a gasp as Ruby began to rush towards me. "You got detention!? It hasn't even been two weeks!!"

"Ruby it's fiiine. I just got in a bit of trouble." Ruby however didn't believe me. "I swear if you get expelled I will never forgive you." She said poking me in the chest, trying her best to seem slightly threatening… which Ruby isn't the most intimidating…. At all. "I'm gonna be fine Rubes. We should get to class or Goodwitch is gonna Murder all of us." I said as Ruby quickly nodded, in fear of getting in trouble with Ms. Goodwitch and quickly began to run out of the room.

As I was finishing up some things Nora tapped me on the shoulder. "Don't worry. We have set the trap and it's ready to be deployed." ……wut?

"What do you mean Nor-"

"Come on we're gonna be late let's go!!!" Nora said as she bolted out of the locker room, dragging Ren and Pyrrha with her. I am now extremely scared.

The sounds of steel Clashing filled the room as a blur of white propelled itself towards a charging Lie Ren. Ren quickly turned his weapons to their gun forms and began to take shots at the charging Heiress. Weiss was able to use her glyphs to dodge and move out of the way before trying to take some slashes at Ren, hoping one would land. A few did land, making Ren stagger a bit and his aura lower, but he was able to recover and get in some slashes of his own.

While I knew both of their fighting styles I believe there is one advantage Weiss has over Ren. Dust. While Ren is incredibly skilled, much more than me, Weiss is basically the Princess of dust. That honestly was the deciding factor in my opini-

"COME ON REN!! KICK HER BUTT!!!" Nora exclaimed from the chair beside me. I noticed Ruby stare at Nora and then begin to stand up.

"YOU CAN DO THIS WIESS!! WIN FOR TEAM RWBY!!" Ruby exclaimed. Oh god what have they started….

"Enough you two- Lie Ren's aura is in the Red. Weiss Schnee is the victor." Mrs. Goodwitch said as I quickly looked to the ring to see Weiss standing over Ren. Huh…. I was right. Go me! Ren dusted himself off and gave a small bow to Weiss as he began to walk back up the stairs to where we were sitting.

"You did good Ren!" I said with a smile as her wiped the sweat from his brow and gave me a nod. "Still need to train more. While I am quick Weiss out speeds me with her semblance." Ren said as he sat down, causing Pyrrha to enter the conversation.

"Instead of focusing on trying to match speed, try focusing on timing to try and trip her up." Pyrrha said to Ren. He looked at her before giving a nod.

"Plus Weiss is the definition of a Glass Cannon. If you are able to land a handful of good hits then you are golden." I said before Goodwitch went to the ring again. "Do we have anyone else that wish to spar?" She asked as I heard an all too familiar voice from the other side of the room.

"I wanna fight Robin!" Cardin said as he grabbed his mace and stared daggers at me. I gave out a long drawn out sigh as I looked at him. "Whyyyyyyyyyy?? I just wanted to relax!" I shouted as Goodwitch looked at me with a slightly annoyed glare.

"Fiiiiiine." I grabbed Hunter's Mark and the quiver of arrows as I began to walk down the stairs. Cardin had his mace in hand and wore a confident smirk as we stared down. "Not so confident now that we are face to face, huh?" He said, ready to fight.

"Nah I'm just bored." Observe
