They sit side by side on the couch. She's reading, and he's sketching his latest prototype.
"Jimmy?" Cindy asks, interrupting the quiet moment.
"Hmm?"
"When did you know you loved me?"
"What?" Jimmy laughs.
She rolls her eyes. "When did you know you loved me?"
"I've answered this before."
"Answer it again," she hisses.
He turns to her. "There wasn't a specific moment. I'd already loved you a long time when I came to the point of fully realizing it."
"I guess I can accept that," she replies.
"You bewilder me sometimes, Vortex."
"I know."
With a shake of his head, Jimmy goes back to work. Consequently, he doesn't see the giddy grin that crosses her lips.
