This is something. Sorry? No own JN. Just a soft warning- this another adult one with an F-bomb.
Surrender
Underneath an ink-black sky dotted with stars, two people sit side by side on a plaid blanket.
Everything above them is so vast and intricate, Cindy feels like a needle in the haystack of the universe. Her problems and griefs seem so small. She moves a little closer to Jimmy, their shoulders barely brushing. Getting him here tonight had been a struggle. She'd finally had to resort to concocting some story about an imaginary star chart.
"It's beautiful tonight."
"It is."
"We've seen so much of it."
"Of what?"
"Space! And it still seems so vast," she laughs. "Do you remember the trip to Mars?"
"Of course I do."
"I still have nightmares about Carl's stretch pants."
"That was rather scarring," he shakes his head at the memory.
"Do you know what I remember most?"
"Hmm?"
"When you admitted you liked me," she teases.
"I said you distracted me. There was a difference."
"Ten years later, and you still can't tell me you thought I was cute when we were eleven? We've slept together, Neutron."
"Well, when you put it that way, denial does seem a tad arbitrary," he concedes.
"I'm glad you admit it, Neutron."
"You can be right occasionally, Vortex. I'm strong enough to admit it."
He turns toward her, and her breath stills in her throat. He is beautiful. She knows every inch of his stupid face like the back of her hand. Her gaze flickers to his lips, lush and so damn kissable. Something familiar pulls in the pit of her stomach.
"Don't look at me like that."
"Like what?" She asks innocently.
"Like you want to devour me."
"Why not?"
"We aren't here for that. We are here to chart-" Jimmy stops when he sees the smile creeping onto her face. "Puking Pluto! We aren't here to look at the night sky at all, are we? You brought me here for nefarious purposes!"
"I will neither confirm nor deny that deduction," her voice tilts low as she sidles closer to even closer to him. The moonlight illuminates his face with silvery light. She can see the dusting of freckles across his nose, and it hardens her resolution.
"Cindy, I am leaving tomorrow."
"Are you sure you want to talk about that right now?" Cindy teases as she moves into his lap, straddling him. He's firm and warm between her thighs, and she gives an involuntary pleasured sigh.
She feels his hands tighten on her sides as he audibly gulps in her ear. "You are trying my self-control, Vortex."
She sees the hesitation in his eyes, but she cannot stop now. Hell would freeze over first. She grinds against him in the way he likes. "Then surrender. You know you want to."
He curses, and then he kisses her hard. The spark between them bursts into a raging inferno, and they are at its whims. When he gently lowers her to the ground, his eyes are as dark and deep and vast as the sky.
Later, when she's lying content in his arms, every bone in her body feels like it is liquid gold, amber, and sparkling. She wishes she could carve it all into her memory. The warmth of his fingers and how he said her name as they reached their mutual peak. Her stomach tightens with desire all over again. Tonight is all about self-indulgence, so she starts to lavish his chest with her attention. Alternating between kissing, nipping, and sucking the soft flesh.
Jimmy inhales sharply. "Cind, we need to talk."
"Fuck talking."
"Cind," his fingers tip up her chin, so she's looking him in the eye. "I'll be gone for two years."
"I know," she replies as her fingers brush the prominent line of his hip, "so, let's enjoy tonight."
He smiles. "As you wish, Vortex."
