hey sorry for the insanely long time it took to update again but this is just a casual hobby soooo.
Chapter 39
She is marched down a narrow dark tunnel but what disturbs her the most is the fact that this is not the way to her cell and the siblings have not diverged to their own cells. Something was wrong. She felt her anxiety grown as they were all thrown in to a larger but still cramped room. The metal door, even heavier than her past one, sealed shut with the deep clang of the lock.
She studied Pietro and Wanda, they appeared as confused as she was. They had clearly expected to return to their normal cells. They muttered in their foreign language to one another.
'Elvira'- she was still hesitant with the name, but it was better than calling herself Project Fusion. Elvira turned to the room. There was a sinister reason behind this change. The room provided the essential space for three people and no more. Unlike her last cell the walls were dark brick. She looked curiously at the hardened clay stacked upon another. Her new roommates silenced as she approached the wall. She needed to test a theory. She felt them jump as she smashed her fist into the wall with all her strength. The brick crumbled under her knuckles but the momentum of the punch stopped as her hand smashed into reinforced steel that lay behind the brick.
She sniffled a cry of pain and retreated her hand back to her chest to be nursed by her left hand.
"Why did you do that?" Wanda questioned exasperatedly.
Elvira returned the slightly aggressive tone, "Because like I suspected, the walls have steel behind them. No doubt there is a force field behind that." With her collar too, that was a triple whammy. She was getting sick of all these fancy locks and chains.
Suddenly Pietro was in front of her inspecting the hole in the wall she had made and the knuckle shaped dent in the steel. Now he was facing her with furrowed eyebrows, "You're bleeding."
She shrugged ignoring the pain, she had gotten very good at it. "It'll heal soon."
To change the topic from the uncomfortable concern for her injury, Elvira returned to examining the room. Three beds jutting out from the three empty walls, no windows, three blankets. She dropped to the floor, her bent arms suspending her stomach just above the concrete floor. She moved to the third bed and ducked down to retrieve a small black disk from underneath. A bug and not the insect type. She crushed the secret surveillance device between her fingers.
Scanning the walls, a wicked smirk grew across her face. She leapt onto the bed closest to the back-right wall and pounced at the hidden camera. Only a small dark orb that fit in with the dark completion of the walls. She dug her fingers into the brick, creating holes to sustain her weight. Her legs secured herself up on the wall. She curled her right hand to increase her grip on the wall as she lifted her left hand to the camera. Her hand clutched around the small orb protecting the camera and tore it out of the wall. Elvira threw it on the ground and swiftly landed on it, smashing the remains.
The siblings were staring at her again. "What? Did you want to be spied on?" she grumbled, twisting her foot to make sure it was completely destroyed. "You might trust these people but I don't."
"We don't trust them," Wanda stated. " We share an enemy but we don't trust them."
Her gaze narrowed at them. She didn't know what to think of the two. How good could they be if they had similar goals to the organisation that moulds human beings into weapons. But they did not seem sadistic at all. And she supposed that not all enemies of HYDRA were innocent. She decided to remain cautious.
Without a word, she placed herself on the third bed. She closed her eyes and focused on the movement of space. She had had an itch in her blood when she met the two.
In the room space moved fluidly yet with structure, except around the two other bodies in the enclosed space. Her forehead crinkled as she fixated on one. From the large amount of space taken up she assumed it was Pietro. Spaced seemed to stream sparsely around him. As he zipped to the bed he decided to claim, Elvira almost gasped as space completely spread out for him. Space was not the cause of him speed but its avoidance provided no resistance.
Her mind now searched for Wanda. She felt a small pull. Elvira smirk lightly realising that Wanda was trying to enter her mind, with little success. So she was also a mind controller or reader. That coincided with her other mind-based abilities. Elvira had no idea what the reason was for Wanda's inability to read her. It was very likely that the cause was her abilities.
More importantly was Wanda's effect on space. Space did not avoid her like it did Pietro, instead it appeared to warp around her. The radius of her control was in flux. It grew as she once again attempted to penetrate Elvira's mind.
She wondered what Wanda would find if she could enter her thoughts and perhaps lost memories.

"Slap", vibrated off the wall as Wanda had finally managed to get a hit in. Sending Elvira hurling into the wall. It had been a month since they had stating battling with Elvira daily. And she was getting harder and harder to beat, even with the two of them. Wanda knew why. The use her abilities was becoming second nature. Her reacts becoming almost as fast as Pietro's. However, what made her difficult to defeat was that she was predicting their actions. Wanda could see it, her eyes darting the next object Wanda's power had not yet reached out for. Even without the ability to read her thoughts, Wanda could feel the familiarity of their movements in Elvira's mind. Elvira had been studying them, developing the patterns of their movement.
What baffled Wanda was the clear restraint in Elvira's attacks. Well clear to anyone receiving one of her low impact- high drama punches in just the first spot to bruise but not break. Wanda had seen the woman punch through a brick wall and dent steel. If Elvira wanted to snap her femur in two she could.
After figuring out the charade Elvira continued each day, Wanda decided to put her hostile distrust of the stranger/roommate aside and study her objectively. Every morning they would spar (if you could call the reoccurring destruction of a room sparring). As Pietro and Wanda nursed their wounds Elvira was dragged away by a heavy escort. Wanda didn't know where her destination was, but she always returned hours later covered in bruises and cuts. they were gone by the next morning. Whenever Wanda woke in the night Elvira was already upright on her bed staring intensely at the doorway.
The girl's mind still moved too erratically for her to solidly grasp anything more than vague emotions. Wanda did not read Elvira's emotions often however. When she did she felt a wave of fear, isolation and confusion drown her. Wanda often felt her insides hollow out when she connected with Elvira. The girl would look at her sadly as if she were apologising for the pain.
She could see her brother watching Elvira often. She could tell he had taken a liking to her. He was fast with his decisions. Concluding if he liked a person or not within a few seconds of meeting. That left her with the responsibility to be the cautious one. Pietro with a wide grin had recounted how in his accelerated speed he had seen her lower her incoming punch away from his damaged cheek. He felt that she was warming up to them but even for a telepath it was hard to tell.
