"Emma do you really have to come along? I wanted to reunite with Sherry, preferably without an audience." Gin groaned as he argued with his sister but she still followed him out to the car and happily claimed the passenger side seat. Like hell was Gin going to let her drive his car, he wanted it in one piece thank you very much.
"Yep! I want to meet the girl who'll be my sister-in-law one day….Besides…she's in the body of a six year old Nii-chan…you weren't going to try and do anything inappropriate to her while she was that little were you?" Emma asked and her voice was dangerous as she glared darkly at her brother. Her brother winced slightly at the accusation and glare on her face.
He knew his sister. He knew how much she loved children. He remembered how disgusted and angry she had been when she found out about him having sex with Sherry for the first time when she was fifteen. He had no doubts at all that if he even thought of sleeping with Sherry in her current state, something that he hadn't thought of at all because damn it he was twisted but he had morals, then his sister would turn him over to the police herself if not outright kill him. And if she didn't for whatever reason then he had no doubts that she'd tell that pirate bastard and the boss who would do those exact same things themselves in an instant.
"I wasn't even considering that Emma. I just haven't seen her in months and she's been in danger. If Rum was shrunk into a child body and had been away from you for months while in danger…how would you react about being able to meet him in his shrunken form?" Gin asked and Emma's face immediately softened at that. She'd just want to hold him…although she would admit to herself that she would love to see Rum as a child so she'd have an accurate guess of what their baby would look like one day…and so she could fret and fawn over how cute he had been.
"Are you alright Emma? Do you have an upset stomach?" Gin asked frowning as he looked at his sister who then noticed that she had put a hand on her belly automatically at thinking about having a baby with Rum one day.
"I'm fine nii-chan. Just a bit nauseous but it'll pass. Now let's go meet my future little sister!" Emma said happily at thinking about finally meeting the sassy scientist that she had heard so much about from her brother and her somewhat adopted brother Vodka.
"I haven't even proposed to her yet! I'm waiting until she turns twenty and is legal! Don't ruin the surprise by calling her that!" Gin said blushing a little bit and scowling briefly at his sister before turning his attention back to the road.
"At least you're going to wait until she's legal this time." Emma said giving him a pointed look and making him sigh. She was never going to forgive him, even if she knew that Sherry had been anything but a passive victim or passive at all during that encounter.
"This coming from the twin who is sleeping with someone just a few years younger than papa." Gin said but there wasn't any heat in it at all.
"At least we waited until I was twenty." She shot back at him.
"Promise me that you'll be careful around Sherry and won't go nuts over her being child sized at least?" Gin asked with a sigh since he knew he wasn't going to win this at all.
"No promises big brother!" Emma said cheerfully. When it came to her being around kids…yeah she lost her damn mind. She had even been taken from the training on how to deal with alien babies and children because she kept losing her mind over how cute they were. The less said about the one time she was allowed to go on a mission to an amusement park…the better as far as everyone involved who still had their memories intact after the fact was concerned.
"This will be a hell of a first meeting." Gin said sighing heavily as he pulled onto the right road and began to slow down as he got close to the Professors house.
"Well I would have met her sooner if you weren't so paranoid." Emma pointed out but she didn't mean anything by it. Her older twin had a very good reason to be paranoid, especially over her given their past.
"Who said I was being paranoid about you this time?" Gin teased before he stopped the car and put it in park, getting out and leaning against his beloved car as he stared at the building in front of him as the front door was thrown open. His sister got out of the car just in time to see a small body go flying towards him as fast as her smaller legs could move.
Gin dropped to his knees and his arms opened just in time for Sherry to slam into him, and then his arms snapped closed around her as he held her tight to his chest.
"I've missed you, my sweet Sherry." Gin whispered into her ears as he held her close while she buried her face in his neck and her smaller arms were wrapped tightly around his neck.
"I've missed you, my strong and steady Gin." Sherry whispered back as she held him tightly, almost as if she were afraid to let him go. He pulled back a bit and felt how she tensed and he could feel the alarm rolling off of her.
"I just want to see those pretty blue eyes of yours, sweetheart." Gin said softly and felt how she relaxed a bit and looked up at him, smiling slightly when he smiled at her and then kissed her head.
"Aww if I didn't know the truth I'd say that I was watching a cute daddy/daughter moment." Emma said cooing a bit and destroying the moment between the two and making Sherry blush a bit while Gin sighed.
"Damn it Emma. Learn how to read the mood will you?" Gin asked giving his sister an annoyed look.
"Learn how to knock before entering my room or apartment will you?" His sister shot back without missing a beat before her entire focus was on the child sized scientist.
"She's adorable!" Emma damn near squealed immediately as she stole the mini-Sherry from her brother and hugged her tightly.
"You must be the twin. I'm Shiho Miyano, codename Sherry and undercover name Ai Haibara." Sherry said trying to regain her composure and be semi-professional.
"Nice to finally meet you! I'm this idiot's twin sister! My name is Emma Kuroda but my codename is Curacao! You're so cute in this form!" Emma said happily as she hugged the stuffing out of Sherry. Sherry looked at her boyfriend who was smiling slightly and his eyes were roving her face.
"Still not used to my shrunken face?" Sherry posed the question to him and making him snort slightly.
"You wouldn't be either if it were me." Gin said and immediately he regretted those words given the matching looks on the two womens faces.
"I would love to see that! The most efficient and intimidating law enforcer at the Organization turned into a pint-sized ankle-biter! You were probably adorable too with the long hair, very feminine." Sherry said grinning and Emma giggled behind one hand as she held Sherry on her hip with her other arm.
"He was! One time a boy even confessed to having a crush on Nii-chan because he thought Nii-chan was a girl!" Emma happily informed the scientist of that and earning a few snickers from the red head.
"Why do I get the feeling that you two meeting is going to result in a lot of teasing and shared blackmail for me?" Gin asked sighing heavily and causing them both to give him matching innocent grins that didn't fool him for a moment.
"Because it likely is!" Sherry cheerfully said and squirmed a bit when he plucked her from Emma's arms.
"Traitor." Gin said without heat as he gave them both a fake glare.
"Which one?" Emma asked snickering.
"Yes."
"That wasn't an answer nii-chan."
"It was. Just not the one you wanted."
"Just for that I'll send you a picture of me kissing Taichi."
"Do it and I'll stab the bastard with one of your knives."
"Touch him and I tell Sherry about the time we switched cloths."
"I have just as much blackmail on you as you have on me Kleine."
"Stop calling me Kleine already! You're only ten minutes older than me!"
"Ten minutes older and at least ten inches taller. Sorry little one."
"Jerk."
"Yes."
"I hate you sometimes."
"I love you too baby sis."
"I'd tell you to bite me but that's Taichi's job."
"Too much information."
"Yes."
"Brat."
"Yes."
"You're proud of yourself now aren't you?"
"Yes."
"You're still the little one, Kleine."
"I am not afraid to stab you while you're holding Sherry. Don't tempt me."
"Remind me to hang out more with you both when I make the antidote." Sherry said looking amused at the twins banter.
"You're going to start already?" Gin asked surprised and looking at his girlfriend who smirked.
"Thanks to Kudo telling me about the Baijiu I have a good idea and base to start making at least a temporary antidote. It shouldn't take me too long to make the first successful temporary batch." Sherry said shrugging slightly.
"Better not mention Kudo too much, Nii-chan might get jealous." Emma said smirking at her brother who shot her an evil eye.
"He has no reason to. Kudo only has eyes for his childhood friend to start with, and I'm not going to throw myself at someone who's already claimed. Besides that, why would I fall for anyone else when my heart already belongs to Gin?" Sherry said logically and looking confused as to why Gin would get jealous of Kudo.
"I love you too Shiho." Gin said smiling softly but warmly as he held her close and nuzzled her hair, hiding how relieved he really was.
"You were already getting jealous weren't you?" Sherry asked flatly but she blushed and smiled a bit at hearing her surname from his lips, he didn't say it often after all. He preferred to use her codename so that no one thought they were close.
"I was not."
"He was."
"Shut it Kleine."
"Call me Kleine one more time big brother. I dare you."
"I will and you know it."
"I'm warning you Nii-chan."
"You're cute when you're angry Kleine."
"Just you wait Onii-chan. I'm definitely going to get you back for this."
"You'll try."
"I'm your sister. I won't just try, I'll succeed."
"Even if I have warning to keep an eye out now?"
"You'll never see it coming."
"Whatever you say Kleine."
"For that I'm putting glitter on your jacket."
"Do it and I will retaliate."
"That's what I'm hoping for."
"It will be war Kleine."
"It already is Onii-chan."
