"As you can tell the story of her being a traitor and running away is just that, a story." Gin said immediately after Kir's question and making Kir raise an eyebrow at him. That was obvious to anyone with two braincells to rub together.

"That was just a cover for why she's no longer at HQ or able to be contacted nor why almost anyone knows where she is. The truth is that Akemi's death was meant to get her imposter into the MiBJ. To get close to Sherry for whatever reason. As such she was given a long time protection mission to keep an eye on Kudo and was sent into hiding. To that end, most of the time she is not in her adult form. Instead she is shrunken and small. This is highly classified Kir. As in you aren't allowed to talk with anyone not in this car about any of this. Understood?" Gin asked his voice cold and hard at the end and making Kir nod once.

"Of course." Kir said without hesitation. She knew the importance of secrets and keeping them, it was literally in her job descriptions as both CIA and MiBJ.

"The only reason we're telling you this is because not only does Vodka absolutely suck at lying, but you also know where Sherry lives now and you've proven time and again that you're trustworthy and won't talk no matter what." Gin said referring to her time of torture where she had been beaten until her ribs were cracked and her torso was scarred for life.

"Ah." Kir said and was very quiet as her mind trailed back to that time as well.

"Speaking of back then I do need to apologize to you Kir." Sherry said out of the blue and making everyone blink and Kir looked confused and startled.

"Apologize? For what? This is the first time I've met you in person." Kir said confused and making Gin raise an eyebrow as he realized what Sherry was about to apologize for.

"It is. However back then I was a dumb overemotional fourteen year old who jumped to conclusions and believed the worst. I…didn't think too highly or charitably of you when I noticed that Gin was spending a lot of time with you, back then I didn't realize he was helping you recover from what had happened and instead only knew that the man I had a crush on was spending time with a woman who was everything that I wasn't. Polite, soft spoken at times, graceful, beautiful, and actually grown enough that he could date you…" Sherry trailed off and looked away for a second before looking back at Kir who was staring at her shocked.

"You were everything I wasn't in my mind and I just…I couldn't think of any reason why Gin wouldn't fall in love with you…of course that never happened and I've been ashamed of my thoughts and the way I acted back then for the last two years but I couldn't just walk up to you out of nowhere and apologize for something that you never knew happened when we had never met before." Sherry said and Kir blinked for a long moment before she smiled at the younger woman.

"It's okay. Like you said I never knew about that, your words and feelings when that had happened, and I certainly hadn't known that you had feelings for Gin even as far back as then. But it's okay because I never knew and you never did anything about it, just had some bad thoughts." Kir said smiling at Sherry in understanding and reaching over to squeeze Sherry's arm in support.

"Besides while Gin is objectively beautiful, I prefer the strong outside but soft inside kind of guy." Kir said teasingly as she smiled at the back of Vodka's head.

"You like the giant marshmallow in the passenger seat." Sherry said with a snort and a smirk of her own while Vodka blushed brightly.

"I'm not a marshmallow!" Vodka protested with a red blush to his face.

"My sister told you about her pregnancy and you immediately began fretting and then went out to buy her a stuffed bear for the baby." Gin said flatly to his partner.

"She said that since I'm your honorary little brother that means I get to be an uncle to the baby! Of course, I'm going to buy the baby presents!" Vodka said almost defensively and making Gin chuckle a bit.

"Vodka she's not even two months along. We don't know what gender she'll have yet. So instead of waiting so that you can get a single color appropriate bear, you buy two bears. One that was green and red and the other purple and pink." Gin pointed out to Vodka who looked a little sheepish.

"I just wanted to be sure…" Vodka trailed off and Kir smiled softly at him as she leaned forward against the back of the seat and kissed his cheek.

"You're a soft teddy bear given human form love and it's cute how excited you are for a baby to be coming into the family." Kir said smiling softly as she spoke and making Vodka blush a little harder.

"Saying it like that makes it sound like he's the one about to become a dad." Sherry pointed out making Kir and Vodka both go wide eyed and blush.

"I'm not! I'm not about to be a dad right Kir?" Vodka asked and his voice was a bit squeakier and higher pitched than normal. Kir was quiet for a moment and Vodka's neck near cracked as he whipped around in his seat to look at her.

Kir's eyes widened and she blushed a bit.

"Sorry. I was counting back to when my last period was. It's fine. I'm not pregnant." Kir assured the others in the car and making them all let out sighs of relief.

"Oh thank god. I'm not sure if we could survive you and Curacao both being pregnant at the same time." Gin said sighing relaxing a little bit.

"I thought my heart almost stopped for a moment there." Vodka said sighing as he relaxed and making Kir smirk at him.

"Aww what's wrong dear? Don't you want kids with me?" Kir asked teasingly.

"I'd love to have a family with you one day Kir but not only would that pregnancy come out of left field and neither of us would be prepared but we haven't even talked about potentially having children. Not only that but I have serious doubts about my ability to be a decent parent." Vodka said relaxing and then causing Gin to reach over and smack him upside the head.

"You are not allowed to be talking bad about yourself at all." Gin said and that was around the time when the others noticed that they were parked.

"Looks like we're here." Sherry said getting out of the car alongside the others and immediately Kir wrapped her arms around Vodka and gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek.

"We can talk about your low self-esteem later. For now let's enjoy ourselves Koji." Kir said smiling at him and making him smile softly back at her, nodding in agreement.

"I'm buying tonight so order what you want, just make sure you actually eat it all." Gin said smirking at them as he offered his arm to Sherry who took it without hesitation while Vodka offered his arm to Kir who smiled as she took it.

"Not a problem! I haven't eaten anything yet today." Kir said smiling brightly at Gin who narrowed his eyes at her for a moment but said nothing.

"Well I've eaten today but transforming between a child and adult takes a lot out of you so I'm more than able to eat a good bit." Sherry said smirking as well and earning a concerned look from Gin as he opened the door for them all.

"Well let's get you two fed then."
