Men in Black and DC crossover

"I see. So the FBI are involved now, should have known." Gin said grimacing at the latest update from Sherry. She had spotted what looked like Akai running around earlier and she told him of the James Black man who had been kidnapped but when saved by the police he had just vanished. As if he didn't want to be caught by police and since add that with the appearance of Akai…
"That makes things a bit more difficult…especially with Vermouth running around." Gin said muttering and he was biting on his thumbnail now. His sister was at her doctors appointment and Vodka was in medical for a stab wound to the shoulder. He was supposed to be okay and able to go home with Kir in a few hours. The only reason it was going to take so long was because it was near his socket and they wanted to check on the rotator cuff and all to make sure it wasn't damaged.
Now though with the knowledge of the FBI and Vermouth both running around…it was very worrying and would make things more difficult.
Great…his only conciliation was that he had entered the locker room at the train station in full on Jynnan Tonnyx mode thinking that Vodka was either being set up by the programmer or being impersonated. Doing that meant that his bloodlust was out in full force and he had probably scared the shit out of Kudo, who had apparently been hiding in one of the lockers until morning when Sherry found him. Doing that meant that if there was any connection at all to him and the Black Organization…then Kudo should be a lot more wary for at least a while yet.
"We expected that this would happen." Karasuma said nodding at Gin who had updated him as well after the report from Sherry came in.
"If nothing else then we can try to bait him with the possibility of another 'NOC'. I've already noticed a few suspicious people hanging out around my apartment and the studio. Discreet looks into them revealed some of them to be FBI agents, the others are just regular fans." Kir said putting in her own two cents here, and Gin wondered why she was privy to this meeting but he said nothing. If Karasuma allowed her here then there was a good reason. Not to mention that he had a slight suspicion about her.
"We could try to lure him in using my CIA status and then finally wipe his memories of the Organization since he proved himself to be too hasty and rash. That would keep the biggest threat away for now but since the other FBI agents would probably notice that he's missing some memories or acting different that also means we'd be tipping our hand about memory altering technology." Kir said thinking about it as well and how to resolve this issue.
"That's also a danger but I'm more concerned about this vanishing man that young Sherry reported in the area that Akai was seen. You said his name was James Black correct?" Karasuma asked and Gin nodded once while Kir frowned in thought again, something about that name was familiar to her…
"Did young Shiho give a description or a picture of this man?" Karasuma asked and there was something in his eyes that made Gin frown slightly. There was more to this than he knew so far.
"About this tall, sixties, British born but moved to America apparently, blond hair starting to go grey, glasses and blue eyes…seemed rather slim but also toned….his cheeks were kind of taunt like there was no fat at all in them." Gin described the man and Karasuma nodded his head slightly.
"I thought so." Karasuma said and he reached into his desk drawer and withdrew a binder. In it were pictures and codenames, or just names for those that didn't have codenames at the time, of every MiBJ agent that had either retired successfully or died in the line of duty or were MIA presumed KIA.
Gin and Kir watched as Karasuma flipped through it a little bit before stopping on one picture.
"Right here before Ethan's picture. That him?" Karasuma asked turning the binder around to point out the picture to the two codenamed agents. Gin leaned in to look at it and he mentally matched it with the picture in his head from Sherry's descriptions.
"Yeah that looks like the guy she described to me. He's former?" Gin asked raising an eyebrow, he hadn't even considered that a former MiB operative might end up investigating them again.
"I remember him! He used to come visit us to talk to dad and he babysat me a few times before Ei-chan was born!" Kir said her eyes widening as well as she looked at the picture…her eyes softened a bit even as her body tensed automatically at the picture of her dad next to him. The last time she saw her dads face, worn by the impersonator and twisted into a cruel sadistic grin, flashed through her mind but she shoved those thoughts down.
"His codename was Grey Goose, he was the former FBI NOC but he retired sixteen years ago. Now we have that to worry about as well." Karasuma said with a grimace as he spun the book around and stared at one of the pictures for a moment before he slowly closed the book and put it back into the desk drawer it belonged to.
"Sixteen years ago…wait wasn't there something revealed in a meeting last week about those who retired fifteen years ago on up? It had to do with the neuralyzers…" Kir tapped her cheek with her pointer finger in thought as she tried to recall what exactly the meeting was about.
"The neuralyzing technology was still rather new twenty years ago and wasn't perfected until fourteen years ago. That's a six year gap." Karasuma said and Gin frowned in thought, was he present for that meeting?
"That's right! You were with Vodka on that case with the programmer last week so you weren't there for it. But it was found out that those who were Neuralyzed between fifteen and twenty years ago had the neuralization wearing off! Because the technology wasn't perfected yet it was still rather weak which meant that some of the former agents were getting their memories back, especially if they saw anything that hinted at alien activity! There was that blowout from when the former Pinot Noir walked into headquarters two weeks ago!" Kir said snapping her fingers in revelation.
"Right but since Gin is not in the headquarters unless he needs to be he missed that, and making sure that Vodka wasn't impersonated took precedence over the meeting. With everything else that happened we forgot to brief him on it." Karasuma said nodding to Kir.
"So some of the former members who retired a while back have been getting back their memories, especially if they're met with something familiar or alien in nature?" Gin asked making sure he had the important bit of that knowledge straight.
"Right. So since the former Grey Goose, James Black, retired sixteen years ago that means that there's a chance his memories of the Organization either are returning, have already came back, or that they will come back if we're not careful." Kir said summing it up and earning a nod from Karasuma.
"Right so when you plan Black Organization missions near Kudo be aware that there is likely to be FBI involvement from now on and that James Black regaining his memories is entirely possible at any given moment." Karasuma said making Gin nod his head.
"Yes sir." Great. That just made his job involving Kudo slightly more difficult. He'd have to call Sherry and tell her to keep an eye out for this James Black man from now on and to watch him closely just in case.
At the same time as they were talking about all of this…
Vermouth acted like she was leaving the airport and pulled out her phone.
"Thanks again and see you soon, Calvados."
