Men in Black and DC crossover

Vermouth sighed slightly as she sat in her luxurious apartment and swirled the wine she was sipping in it's glass. She had gone by many names and faces over the years, some of them were so mixed together that she didn't even know where one started and one ended.

The one she had enjoyed being the most and greatly missed…was Sharon Karasuma, the wife of Renya Karasuma and a mother to a beautiful pair of fraternal twins.

She had once been his wife and they were so happy and in love despite her keeping a large secret from him, but it was fine. Her being an alien didn't have much to do with their marriage and he had certainly enjoyed some of the benefits to her shapeshifting…so she never brought it up. She had planned on telling him the truth about her origin soon after they were married.

But…then she realized she was pregnant, something she hadn't thought was possible. After all they were two different species fundamentally despite her being able to replica humans very thoroughly. Apparently thoroughly enough for her to get pregnant. She both loved and feared being pregnant. She was going to have Renya's child, children as she learned when they were born, and she knew the baby would be beautiful and healthy and smart…She hadn't even remembered that she was an alien during her pregnancy, far too excited for the upcoming bundle of love and joy.

Renya had been overjoyed as well, honestly he was probably even happier and eager for the baby than she was. He certainly went a bit overboard spoiling her and preparing for the baby's arrival.

Then…then she gave birth while at the Sunset Manor when Renya was busy in America with a meeting there. She had been alone in the manor but she hadn't panicked…too much. She had been one of the first and original members of the MiBJ after all, she had handled more than a few cases of aliens giving birth unexpectedly. It was different when she was the one giving birth however and both her powers and her mind were out of it.

She had reverted back to her true form while giving birth, which had honestly made it a good deal easier on her, and her mind was hazy from pain but full of love when she heard the tiny cries from her newborns. Her newborn twins.

A beautiful baby boy with a small fuzz of the jet black hair Renya had in his youth and an adorable little girl with a tuft of brown hair. As if the blond of her human form had mixed almost perfectly with Renya's formerly dark hair.

She had been so happy and relieved that they were both perfectly healthy and was ready to get ahold of Renya to let him know of their birth…when things took a turn she had never seen coming.

While her son, who she had to think a name up for and honestly she was tempted to give him her fathers name of Ethan, didn't display any signs of her alien abilities…her daughter…

Her little girl was already morphing her physical features slightly, a common thing to happen to a baby of her species. Very uncommon for humans however. She had been scared, so very scared, as she retook her human form and realized that now she had to tell Renya the truth. Both about her past and about her abilities. She had to tell him and hope and pray to a god she didn't believe in that he would still love and accept her and their children.

She nursed them as she thought of different ways to tell him before he came back and saw their daughter morphing…but…

He was standing there in the doorway staring at her with wide angry and horrified eyes. He had managed to finish up his meeting a day early and came to surprise her, not wanting her to be alone for long because of how close her due date was.

She recalled every angry word he spoke, his voice thick with betrayal, horror, disgust and rage. He couldn't believe she had lied to him for so long. He called her such horrid names, called their daughter an abomination for being mostly human but having obvious alien abilities.

He demanded that she leave immediately and take the 'freak of nature' with her. She had been sobbing but had agreed to leave, to give him time to cool down and think clearly despite how betrayed he must have felt at her keeping it a secret for so long. She had collected the children and stopped when he had taken her son, her still unnamed son, from her arms and held him tight.

She recalled how he examined the baby and then pronounced that it seemed as if their son was normal, just a normal human baby. He had…he had demanded that he keep the boy. Keep his heir. He demanded for her to leave and never show her face to him in this house again and keep their daughter from his sight as well. He wouldn't acknowledge their daughter as being his child…and he wouldn't let her know her son as her child.

She had protested of course, she loved both children and was worried what he'd do if left alone with their son…but….but he had pulled a purple cricket on her and aimed it right at her and their daughter.

He told her that if she didn't leave then he'd kill her and their daughter both…she didn't have a choice. If she couldn't save both of her children the least she could do was save one and make sure she had a happy childhood far far from her father. However… to hide her better Vermouth pulled on her connections and had her daughter frozen in time. If her age was off then Renya would hopefully never realize who their daughter was despite them having already decided on a name for a girl.

If she was ten years younger than what she should be however…well even Renya likely wouldn't pay any attention to it.

She changed her face and body and went under a new identity, Hanahaki Fujimine, and fled to a small town many districts away from her husband. She prayed that her son would be alright and Renya wouldn't go as far as to abuse or kill their son.

When she heard him tell their once closest friends about how she had shoved their son at him and said she wanted nothing more to do with the child she had clenched her fists and glared darkly at them all. He didn't even mention their daughter and the way he stared at her almost as if he couldn't understand her or figure out why she had done that…she wasn't going to bring her daughter, her Yukiko, up.

She did her best by her daughter, moving them back and forth to America semi-frequently, and had taught her little Yukiko how to control her abilities and the few powers she had.

She had been so proud when her little girl decided she wanted to be an actress and then worked to that goal with all the same drive and determination and resourcefulness as her father would have.

Then Vermouth had had enough of Karasuma and the way he was subtly treating her as if he were the wronged party, although she was grateful that he let her hear some small snippets on how their son was doing but never their sons name. She wondered what he had named her son but she supposed it was semi-fair (As fair as any of this could be) that she didn't know it. He didn't know their daughters name after all, even if it was by his own choice. He pretended that they never had a daughter, just as he had said he would. Not acknowledge her…

She had moved to America for several years and took Yukiko with her, that's where Yukiko had gotten her first part in an acting job at the tender age of fourteen.

Her daughter thrived on the stage and that's when Vermouth had an idea…a way for her and her daughter to bond in a way they usually couldn't anymore with the duties her position in the Intelligence division was demanding of her.

It was sometime during this when she decided that if she wanted things in the MiB and MiBJ to change then she'd have to do it herself, and so she began plotting and planning and making the serum that would make everything possible.

She took up the name Sharon Vineyard and became an actress alongside her daughter, also gathering intel for the MiB and MiBJ. She and Yukiko were closer than ever before now that they could share a bonding and love for acting and doing parts in movies and plays.

Then she had met the infamous Magician Thief Kaito…and his regular everyday side of Taichi Kuroba who she and Yukiko both learned some of the art of the Magician from. She learned far more tricks of the trade from him than anyone else. Of course she had to use some of her newly created serum to make him agree to teach her the tricks. It was the perfect test subject for the rough version of her mind controlling serum.

Once she knew it worked and had all of the tricks she could ever need or want out of Kuroba…she began to slowly slip Renya some of that same serum and discovered that it came with a sort of attachment. She could feel how long he was under the serum's effects and how strong it was after just a few doses of the weak version.

This was going to be easier and better than she ever dreamed but she had to be careful now. If she was caught it was game over and Renya would end her and then likely track down Yukiko to end her daughter as well. Her beautiful baby girl who had gotten married at the age of twenty, although she should technically be thirty, and then in less than a year had a little boy of her own. Sharon had been there when her grandson was born with a neutralizer ready just in case he inherited a lot of the more obvious alien attributes.

Luckily her grandson, her adorable so brilliant little Shinichi, had his alien genetics mostly overruled by the human genetics and was just as human as any other pure human baby. Sure she had noticed that his hair always seemed to stay the same way after it had grown in some and his eyes seemed to go between being more angular and being rounded…but they were small subtle things that most people wouldn't ever notice and the ones who would would merely brush it off.

She had stayed away a good deal when her grandson was little, the work load picking up and her plans on getting everything done and right keeping her busy…it was around that time when she was named the Head of the Intelligence division and had met little Akemi, the Miyano parents, and the baby Shiho.

Unfortunately for the Miyano parents they discovered something they shouldn't have, some of her secrets. She couldn't let them live and tell anyone about the secrets. So with a heavy heart, because she was a mother and grandmother and they had two beautiful little girls of their own with one being just a few months older than her precious grandson, she killed them both and made it look like an accidental fire in the lab had done it. She had spared Akemi and Shiho, she couldn't bring herself to kill them. They were innocent children after all and had no clue of the secrets their parents had dug up.

She had carried Shiho out of the burning lab herself and cradled the baby close, feeling a heavy weight of guilt in her heart at tearing away this little one's family.

Pisco had almost immediately swooped in to take care of Akemi, after all he had raised the young boy who would later become Irish and one of Vermouth's subordinates, and while she was a little mischievous devil she was rather polite and well behaved from what Vermouth knew. Pisco had been too old to raise an actual baby however and Vermouth had been very tempted to place the orphaned baby with her own daughter and grandson.

Unfortunately she had to scrap that idea immediately. Giving a 'high priority' baby to an apparent civilian couple with a son of their own who by all accounts had no idea of any kind of alien activity…it would have drawn a lot of attention from Renya and the other Organization members. Attention that Sharon couldn't afford to have on her family.

It was the new CIA liaison, a young man named Ethan Hondou who refused a codename when he learned the truth of aliens, who had suggested that Shiho be raised in the Organization in America. He had said that while he would have taken her in if he could, he and his wife already had their hands full with their own new son and their ten year old daughter Hidemi who was apparently a feisty and curious little thing like Vermouth had been in her youth.

So Renya made some calls to the American branch and Vermouth was told to deliver the baby Shiho to Agent K since she had to leave for America soon anyways to keep up her Sharon Vineyard disguise.

She had done so with a semi-heavy heart and had kept an eye on the girl as she grew up. She was a smart thing, easily as smart if not smarter than her parents, and Vermouth immediately realized that the girl was a threat to everything Vermouth was doing and planning with her knack for biochemisty. She would be able to discover the serum in no time and likely find a cure for it soon after. She couldn't have that happen.

And if the girl ever got close enough to Vermouth to realize the truth of her secrets…even just one of them…

So Vermouth kept Shiho away and planned on how to have the girl killed…but…she waited. She made it obvious that she didn't like the kid and kept far away from her while still keeping an eye on her…but the girl was still close to her grandsons age. Her grandson who had decided that he wanted to be a detective instead of an actor.

She wouldn't hurt Shiho yet…she'd give the girl a few more years to grow up and experience life a bit before she took the girl out if she seemed too close to Vermouths secrets.

But then…several years later after Shiho was in Japan and given the codename Sherry…Vermouth admitted that taking the just barely eighteen year old Edward Kuroda her husband had brought in off of the street as a lover wasn't her best idea. She had needed a cover however for why she was acting strange and she sensed something about the boy and his fraternal twin sister Emma. Maybe it was her fondness for them both because of her own twins, despite never getting to see her son, but she felt something for them.

She became Emma's main trainer and took on more of a motherly role towards the girl who had impressive abilities for fresh off of the street and an amazing memory (and it wouldn't be until a few months later that Vermouth learned just how amazing it was) that would be useful for any intelligence officer.

With Edward however…she wasn't sure how to deal with him or act around him. So she had taken him as a lover and taught him how to control his reactions and emotions and how to seduce a target. That changed after he got his partner, the rather unimpressive Vodka, and after Akemi had dragged them both with her to the beach. After that was when Edward, now Gin she supposed, broke things off with her and left her feeling a sting of betrayal similar to how it had felt when Renya had forced her away and never spoke of their marriage again.

She had loved how jealous her being with Gin seemed to make Renya, it was the only time he showed any acknowledgement to his once feelings for her and their one time marriage…was she using the boy? Yes. Did she care? No not really. After all being with him gave her some relief from her usual duties, frustrations over not being able to be there for her son, frustrations at Renya and what he had done, and a good way to hurt Renya like how he had hurt her.

She had gave a token effort to get him interested in her again after he broke things off with her but then not long after…she noticed the signs he was showing. He was showing signs of attraction towards the then thirteen year old Shiho. To a girl ten years his junior who was far, far too young. And Vermouth was disgusted with him.

Sure she tried to attract him back to her some more, however it was mainly to keep him from getting his claws into a girl just barely older than Vermouths grandson. Vermouth even tried to have the girl offed by an acquaintance of hers who liked the tasted of human female reproductive organs…but she not just managed to escape but was saved by Gin as well. Offing her would have kept her safe from Gin's dark twisted lust and desire while also keeping Vermouth's secrets and plans in the shadows…but it didn't work and now she was even better protected than ever before.

Vermouth sighed before she threw back her glass and just chugged the remaining wine instead of sipping it.

Then…then she heard from one of her agents in MiBJ that Shinichi Kudo, her Cool little Shin-chan, had been given an experimental memory erasing pill by Gin that had an unintended reaction and killed him. She had learned that Gin had killed her grandson with a drug made by Sherry.

The rage and heartbreak and anger that overtook her nearly blinded her for several minutes. That was the final straw. She didn't care what it took but she was going to kill Sherry and Gin both. They had taken her grandson from her! They had killed her clever little grandson and weren't even being punished for it! They had murdered him and were getting away with it!

So she had gone back to Japan and when she was at the 'mourning party' with 'Pisco', who she had immediately known was a fake, she had seen Sherry who had disappeared from the Organization several months ago. The rumor was that she had defected and run because of what happened to her sister, the official story that those who were high enough in rank knew was that she was in hiding due to the apparent obsession someone had with seeing her dead. And apparently the girl was hiding in plain sight by having somehow lost ten years of her life, something that Vermouth realized had probably been what her parents had been doing with some of Vermouth's DNA. She recalled that they had blackmailed her into some blood samples that they mentioned using for a project. Something about a bullet? She didn't care. She had killed them long before it was complete but of course the little science prodigy had taken up that project.

The pure feeling of hate and rage that overtook her was almost tangible at that party and it had almost blinded her to the little boy who was with Sherry.

A little boy with a very familiar face and a pair of slightly too big glasses. Pulling out her phone when no one was looking, Vermouth had scrolled nearly a decade back in her phone's gallery and found why the boy looked so hauntingly familiar. Comparing the little boy she could see to a picture her daughter had sent her of a six year old Shinichi wearing his fathers glasses…they were a match. The little boy was her little cool guy. Her adorable grandson was alive!

Unfortunately that didn't mean her plans could change. She still had to kill Sherry and would kill Gin as well for what he had done or tried to do.

She couldn't leave them alive, no matter how much she enjoyed seeing her grandson being so cute again.

Vermouth scowled as she picked up the entire bottle of wine. She had to get control of the other government agencies around the world and universe and to do that she needed the NOCs…if she could get ahold of the NOC list for both those in the Organization and the ones the Organization has elsewhere, some of which even she wasn't privy too, then she'd be set.

Vermouth began to just straight up chug the wine as she considered what she was going to do.

Yes. This was what needed to be done. She had to fix everything. The knowledge of aliens, how they were treated…what Renya had done to her…she had to find her son too. And the only way she could do that was if she was in control but she still needed to perfect the serum a bit. It wasn't done yet.

If she had Sherry on her side then it would be a simple matter for the serum to be finished, probably wouldn't take the girl a week…however she didn't have Sherry on her side. Which meant she most likely needed the head scientist of the Aquillan's who had retired to Earth sometime in the distant past when she had been more focused on her daughter.

Vermouth scowled and threw away the now empty bottle. She had to focus again and finish what she started. She came too far to stop now and she'd make sure no one would ever hurt her daughter and grandson ever again.

Not even Renya would be able to threaten them anymore once she was done.
