Men in Black and DC crossover

(A/N: I own nothing read last chapter and read Velgamidragon's We Are the Men in Black.)
Gin scowled as he tried to piece together what was happening and why Vermouth was after Sherry. Nothing made sense! Why would Vermouth be after one of the smartest people in the MiB who could be the next Head of Research and Development if Chardonnay was right about her, and the old woman usually was.
Was there something about Sherry from back when Vermouth was in America that had caused the animosity? But Sherry would have only be twelve or thirteen at the most and probably wouldn't have known it was wrong or meant to do it! There wasn't any good reason for Vermouth to have held a grudge from back then for something that Sherry probably hadn't even realized what she was doing wrong.
Not just that but sometimes Gin swore he saw Vermouth in two different places only an hour or two apart when that shouldn't be possible even with MiB technology. Every once in a while though he'd also reference something she had been there for and she would act like she didn't remember, and he didn't think this was her usual coyness to annoy him.
It was as if she truly didn't remember the things that she had been present for and he didn't know if it was the age she never told everyone finally catching up with her or if she had taken a hit to the head that was jarring her memories repeatedly. Not just that but sometimes he swore her skin ripple slightly or her eyes change color whenever her emotions got too strong. Like when she had left the bosses office and he swore her eyes had been brown one second with a hint of red and then her usual blue the next.
He didn't have much time to think about it since he had to plan out the Black Organization mission involving Kir soon to keep Kudo busy and thinking he was getting somewhere. But he still thought about it in the back of his mind as he continued to plan out the mission and call the relevant people. Vermouth had nearly been forced upon the mission by That Person and Gin didn't know why but he didn't care. It was the bosses orders and he would follow them to the letter. He didn't like it, but he'd do it and find some way to use her and hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with her too much himself.
Of course since Chianti and Korn were on the mission, might as well let Kudo be paranoid about snipers for a little while, he'd have to try and keep them from killing her and thinking they'd get away with it. Honestly if they did manage to pull it off and have a good excuse then he'd buy them a round of drinks even if she is somehow the boss's favorite.
Kir was the last person he had to call to set up her part on the assignment because hers was one of the most vital pieces and definitely the most important in the set up. They'd be using her connection with Yoko Okino, who she had taken under her wing at the news station without even being ordered to since she had figured the girl could use a slightly older sister figure.
Thankfully Yoko Okino somehow had connections with Kogoro Mouri already and could invite him, his daughter, and Kudo to some kind of news thing that Kir would naturally be present for and then they'd go from there. Kir had mentioned the doorbell ringer to him the other day and Karasuma ordered him to find out who it was in case it was an alien looking to drive her paranoid or kill her somehow.
Thankfully his boss was just being paranoid and it turned out to only be a kid who missed seeing her on the morning news because she reminded him of his mother who had died.
"Hello Gin. I was expecting your call." Kir answered on the first ring and apparently she knew what he was calling for.
"You already know your part?" Gin asked wanting to know how much she knew.
"Koji already told me most of the details like how we're going to be using my connection with Yoko-chan and I'll be the one actually meeting young Kudo-kun during this assignment. A fake assassination of Doko right?" Kir asked and he nodded slightly.
"Yes. We have to go over the rest of the mission but that's the gist of it." Gin said and he settled in the chair prepared to sit for a little while in order to talk things over with her.
"Alright. Let me get set up." Kir said sighing and he heard her kissing Vodka and moving around.
"Thank you for the massage dear. I need to talk work now though so you shouldn't be massaging my back right now. Don't want him to get the wrong idea." He heard Kir say to Vodka and Gin couldn't help his own snort of amusement.
He had already thought the wrong idea when he had heard her moaning during his call with Vodka. He just wasn't going to bring it up.
He was not drunk enough to think about the love life of who he believed to be his boss's grand or even great grandchild.
