Summery: Naru has Always been alone, hated by everyone! One day she meets her first friend, a boy who told her "It's too troublesome to worry about what others think" he was her first first and would eventually become something more.

Chapter 1
After that fateful day in the park Narumi found herself accepted by the Nara clan mainly by Shikamaru's parents who became like parents to the young girl. It would be a few years that with the help of Shikaku that Narumi would gain evidence of the Uzumaki clan and also discover the identity of her mother Kushina Uzumaki.
It's now been a full 6 years since Narumi and Shikamaru became friends and right now a Chunin stood in front of a class room of students the mos striking feature of this Chunin was the horizontal scar over the bridge of his nose his hair was in a similar style to that of Shikamaru and was dressed in the average uniform of a Konoha Shinobi witch consisted of a black turtle neck shirt with black Shinobi pans and sandals his uniform brought together by the green flak jacket. This was Iruka Umino, the chief instructor of the class in front of him. His current task was taking roll call of the students.
"Nara, Shikamaru?" Iruka called out glancing up from his clip board towards the student he called out to.
"I'm here" Yawned Shikamaru from where his head was resting on his desk. Shikamaru was an average height teen of his age with the same pineapple hair. His clothing consisted of a fishnet shirt with a pale gray jacket with green trimming that held the Nara clan crest of the sleeves.
"Uzumaki, Narumi?" Iruka called out only to be met with silence. "Narumi?" Iruka called out once more. his irritation slowly rising as he glared halfheartedly towards the empty seat that usually held the young heiress
"Uzu-" the frustrated Chunin began once more before the door slammed open revealing the object of Iruka's frustration in the clutches of none other then the Inuzuka clan's matriarch, Tsume Inuzuka.
"What was she doing his time?" asked Iruka as he pinched the bridge of his nose to try a rid himself of the stress that came to being the instructor of an Uzumaki.
"Caught her trying to bribe our ninken with steak" said Tsume with a chuckle and a grin showing she held no ill will towards the Jinchuriki.
"Well those bigoted shop keepers deserve it!" retorted the pouting blond. In the years since meeting the Nara's Narumi had change much her golden hair flowed loosely down to the bottom of her shoulder blades her once fair skin had darkened to a healthy tan showing the girl spent a good amount of time outside. Her clothing consisted of a sleeveless black kimono style top that reached her hip and tied with an orange and red obi with endless swirls pattern a pair of khaki colored long short that reached just below her knees.
"Well cause of your attempts to pull a prank you were late for class!" growled the Inuzuka Matriarch who received a challenging growl back from the Uzumaki heiress. The heat between the two females died quickly died and Tsume chuckles towards the Narumi.
"I'll see you later Tsume" said Naru with a smile getting out of the Matriarch's grip and made her way towards to her seat next to one Shikamaru Nara.
"Heh, Later brat" said Tsume then turning her gaze towards her son who was sitting a row behind the Uzumaki "Kiba, you better behave also!"
"What!?" said Kiba with a flushed face of embarrassment at being called out by his mom.
"Sorry for the intrusion, Iruka" said Tsume as she left the class room for Iruka to reign in the children.
"What I miss?" asked Narumi looking at the seemingly asleep Nara.
"Nothing much, just roll call." Kiba answered. Kiba Inuzuka had dark brown hair with a fair skin tone with red crimson fangs tattooed to each of his cheeks. He wore a closed gray hoodie with black fur trim and a pair of black pants. Kiba also had a small white ninken puppy sleeping on the top of his head this being Kiba's partner Akamaru.
"The Genin exam is coming up" yawned the tired voice of the ever lazy Shikamaru Nara
"Really!?" shouted Narumi excitedly earning her a look from Iruka telling her to quiet down.
"The period for student training is ending soon so it only makes sense" Shikamaru stated Logically.
"Oh year I'm gonna crush this!" shouted Kiba completely ignoring he vein popping out on Iruka's forehead.
"This village doesn't need a dead last as a ninja, mutt" stated he emotionless voice of one Sasuke Uchiha, he so called prince of the village.
"Shut it, Uchiha" growled Narumi as she glared of the boy in question all this earned was the typical Uchiha grunt.
Iruka soon began the class with Narumi concentrating on the lesson while ignoring the students that tried to distract her or get a rise out of her. It was near the end of the day when Iruka called an end to the lesson and announced that tomorrow would be the Genin exams for tonight was everyone's chance to freshen up of subjects and skills they needed to.
"Yeah I'm gonna be Kunoichi of the year!" announced Narumi as she walked along side Kiba and Shikamaru towards the section of the village reserved for clan compounds.
"You certainly shoot for the top" sighed Shikamaru.
"Well duh, I'm aiming to be Hokage I should always aim for the top, ya lazy pineapple!" Narumi giggled earning an exasperated look from the Nara heir.
"Will you ever stop using that nickname" asked Shikamaru.
"Nope" said Narumi popping the P. "I'm heading off now" stated the blond
"Not coming over?" asked Shikamaru
"Not tonight I gotta study and also see Kurenai-nee" said Narumi
"Alright, see ya" said Shikamaru with a wave and a nod from Kiba as they continued onward. Narumi made her way towards the western side of the village till reaching training ground 13. reaching the training ground she came upon the sight of an older woman with long black hair and red eyes with a pale skin tone dressed in a dress that looked to be made out of sealing paper and she seemed to be arguing with a man with short brown hair and beard his clothing was the typical Konoha uniform with he only standing out being a white cloth tied around both his upper arms and a waist cloth with the crest of Ho no kuni.
"C'mon Kurenai, I'm sorry it's not my fault I was suddenly called on a mission!" said he man apologetically.
"You still didn't even let me know and I was left standing her for an hour!" snapped the raven beauty.
"It that Kurenai-nee's boyfriend?" Narumi asked herself she thought he seemed familiar but couldn't think where she'd seen or met him from. She was so distracted from spying she didn't notice a stick till she stepped on it.
"Who's there?" asked he man as he looked in the direction that Narumi was hiding.
"Narumi, come ou now" said Kurenai with a sigh.
"Heheh Sorry Kurenai-nee" said Narumi rubbing the back of her head.
"The Jinchuriki?" asked the man.
"Shut up" said Kurenai in warning.
"Oh yeah her mom was your sensei" said the man with a nod.
"You knew my mom?" asked the blond
"I did, but what are you doing here this training ground is off limits to academy students"
"There is an exception here for Narumi" said Kurenai.
"How's that?" asked the man.
"Kurenai-nee's been helping me train!" Narumi stated.
"Before you ask, Lord third knows and approves" said Kurenai.
"Hm, I can't imagine the elders like that" at that Kurenai sighs with an eye roll.
"Narumi, meet Asuma Sarutobi lord third's eldest son"
"Oh your Jiji's son?" asked the young blond with a smile.
"Yeah, you might not remember me but we met when you where younger" said Asuma
"So, are you Kurenai-nee's boyfriend?" Narumi asked with the bluntness and tact only a child could possess.
"Narumi!" Kurenai shouted while blushing. The academy student tilted her head innocently at what Kurenai could be so embarrassed over "What is it you need?" asked Kurenai asked after coughing into her hand.
"Right! The Genin exam is tomorrow and I was hopping you could help me with my bushin jutsu" Narumi stated.
"You can't do a bushin?" asked Asuma with a raised brow.
"Uzumaki's in general can't use the standard bushin jutsu, they naturally have massive chakra reserves even with perfect chakra control an Uzumaki can't lower their usage for most D rank and below jutsu" Kurenai explained.
"Then how can I pass the exam!" asked Narumi.
"Simple Tobirama Senju the Nidami Hokage who instituted the academy placed a rule for any Uzumaki who attended the academy that they only need too preform a bushin of any rank to pass." explained Kurenai.
"That's smart but what bushin should she use?" asked Asuma.
"Erm, what about Uzuton bushin?" asked Narumi.
"You've been studying the Uzumaki clan jutsu scrolls?" asked Kurenai.
"Uzuton… never heard of it" said Asuma.
"Not surprised outside of the Uzumaki clan its rare due to its high chakra cost, lord Nidami based his kage bushin jutsu on it" explained Kurenai before facing the blond "Now watch Narumi" explained Kurenai.
He next day Narumi arrived early for the exam and so there was no real delay. The first section of the exam was a written exam due to the pestering of one Narumi Uzumaki Shikamaru scored the highest with a nearly perfect score only being off by two points, a civilian born student named Sakura Haruno made second with third being a tie between Narumi and Sasuke Uchiha. Next was a Taijutsu test where each student was tested against an Chunin personally chosen by the Hokage. Sasuke would take first place with his interceptor style and Narumi placed a close second with a style neither the students nor the Chunin knew it was the Uzuton-ga style that hadn't been seen in 13 years.
The final part of the exam was testing their aptitude with ninjutsu. Each student was called into a separate room where they were required to show the instructors they're the three jutsu's known as the academy standard. One by one a student would be called into the room and if they passed the exam would exit with the infamous Konoha headband. Soon Narumi was called getting a wish of good luck by Kiba and a chubby boy named Choji Akamichi. Once inside she preformed a replacement and henge perfectly.
"...and lastly is the Bushin" stated Iruka's assistant Mizuki doubtful that the Uzumaki could do as such when in every class she had failed. Taking in a deep breah in and out and used the two hand sign that Kurenai had showed her last night and call upon the chakra needed
"Uzuton Bushin!" announced Narumi as the air and water molecules swirled and condensed together to form a pair of identical copies of the blond.
"Narumi what was that?" asked Iruka dumbfounded at what the young girl just preformed.
"Heh Uzumaki clan secret Iruka-sensei!" stated Narumi with a grin while holding out her hand "Headband please!"

A trio of figures roamed through the ruins of the once mighty ninja village the one up front appeared to me about 5'11" but most of his features where hidden by the black cloak he wore that had a sedge hat made of straw with a mane of silver hair flowed behind him from his head and a pair of golden eyes shined in the shadow of his hat on his right flank stood a mountain of a man in the same attire as his lead he stood to be around 6'6" with a massive sword attacked to his back bound in straps of leather and cloth with what appeared to be a crystal eye ball on the butt of the sword. Next was the final member of the trio who appeared to be a woman also clad in the same cloak and sedge hat as her comrades with a pair of combat fans resting on her hips with the bindings looking like they where made of bone.
"Lord Enra why return to such a place?" questioned the woman.
"Seriously boss we return to this dump every five years and we've never found evidence of an Uzumaki, since Kushina Uzumaki's death, why do we keep on doing this?" questioned the mountain of a man witch earned a glare from the woman
"We return, cause I will it" was the leader, now known as Enra, simple reply. The trio stooped as they reached what must have once been the center of the village's central square and somehow while the village was in ruin this simple stone spiral with a tree at it's center that somehow was floating over a pool of water was untouched by the destruction around it.
"See boss it hasn't changed at all since last we where here" said the mountain despite being here many times in the man's life he always found this one spot rather creepy.
"Oh but it has Kazuma" said Enra and raised and arm pointed at the roots of the tree where one could see a new tree had taken root at the foot of the massive tree already there
"Lord Enra you sound... Pleased" commented the woman
"This is a sign a true Uzumaki Shinobi has begun on their path and like always it will be us the Shinigami clan who will be they're ruin. Just as we where in this village so long ago" chuckled Enra darkly as he turned to leave with his comrades.
End chapter
And with that the first chapter Official chapter has been re-written. You might notice some slight changes to the story for instances it's Kurenai who is Narumi's tutor instead of Kakashi like I originally had it. Next we will encounter Konohamaru and also the team formations. Also Enra and his Shinigami will be important to the story later on also Danzo, When I first wrote this it was before I knew of Danzo or Root.
