Summery: Naru has Always been alone, hated by everyone! One day she meets her first friend, a boy who told her "It's too troublesome to worry about what others think" he was her first first and would eventually become something more.

Chapter 2
"Narumi Uzumaki reporting in" stated Narumi as she entered the office of Hiruzen Sarutobi. The office was spacious with bookselfs a wide desk, on the wall right of the desk hung the pictures of the Hokages past and present: Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju(who's pictures where painting commissioned of the two brothers) Hiruzen Sarutobi from his younger days, and lastly Minato Namikaze this one always interested the young Uzumaki as she often found him hauntingly familiar, the best part of the office was the full wall length window witch gave the viewer a scenic view of the village and the Hokage monument. Narumi's attention was finally brought her attention to the elderly man who sat behind the desk.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was the longest living Kage to date only rivaled by the Sandaime Tsuchikage. The man had short gray hair who was on the shorter side. His clothing consisted of white robes.
"No need to be so formal when its just us Naru" said the elderly man with a smile.
"Sorry, Jiji, but I'm a Shinobi now so I should act the part" said the blond with a grin. She how wore her headband around her neck with the metal plate rest but below her collar bone the light gleaming of the metal being almost as bright as the blond's grin. "also I'm here to hand this in" said Narumi retrieving a photo from her kunai pouch and handing it to the village leader. The photo in question was displaying Narumi who was winking at the camera with a peace sign.
"not exactly the most formal photo" sighed the elderly Shinobi "but I'll allow it" said the man putting the photo aside to place into the Uzumaki's file at a later time. It was at this time when the door to the office burst open!
"I'll get you this time old man!" announced a small child dressed in a yellow shirt with the village's crest on the front with a pair of gray long shorts he also wore some kind of helmet and had a ridiculously long scarf. The child also held a shuriken in his hand as he began running in his foot got caught on the scarf and caused him to fall face fist onto the floor.
'who is this kid?' Narumi thought exasperatedly. When the child sat up he looked around confused till his eyes landed on the blond girl.
"You! You tripped me didn't you!?" demanded the child it was at this point a Jounin entered the room a Jounin that the blond knew well.
"first off brat I'm not close enough to do that" said the blond pointing out that there was a good two feet between the child and the blond. "secondly you tripped over your own scarf" said the blond crossing her arms.
"watch how to speak to the honorable grandson, Uzumaki" hissed the Jounin with venom.
"heh gonna beg for forgiveness now?" asked the child smugly.
"As if in fact."began the blond striding over to the child "I couldn't care less" said the blond before delivering a sharp chop to the child's head making him yelp and fall down. "I gotta go, see ya Jiji!" said the blond with a wave as she slipped out of the office hearing he Jounin rant about how she dare to harm the honorable grandson.
Narumi was making her way through the village with no real destination in mind, this playing in part to the not subtle shadow of the Hokage's grandson who as Narumi looked behind her was poorly hidden as a rock…in he middle of the road. Narumi didn't know if the kid was stupid or thought she was stupid.
"Knowing Ebisu is probably the former" sighed the blond coming to a stop before turning on her heel to face the 'rock' "You know rocks don't just appear out of no where right?" asked Narumi with a hand on her hip.
"So you saw through my deception!" said the child pulling his rock disguise away to reveal himself.
"even a civilian could have seen through that" said Narumi rubbing her temple. "why are you following me for anyways?" she asked with a raised an eyebrow "I doubt Ebisu would approve of this"
"You know Ebisu-sensei?" questioned the kid.
"he was an academy instructor before his promotion" stated the blond "speaking of witch what's up with trying to attack your Jiji?"
"I want to be Hokage!" announced the brunette
"why's that?" asked Narumi
"huh?"
"Why do you want to be Hokage?" Narumi clarified
"cause I want to be seen as me and not just the Hokage's grandson!" he announced "My name is Konohamaru, I'm named after the village but no one uses it I just want to be seen as me!" stated the young Sarutobi. Narumi found a smile on her lips as she could see herself a few years ago.
"that's nice and all, but you'll have to get in line" said Narumi with a smirk "for I'm going to be Hokage before you, also trying to fight someone you love for that isn't cool" said Narumi "my adoptive siblings told me 'to disobey an order makes you trash but to betray a loved one makes you worst then trash'" said Narumi sagely.
"I don't get it" said Konohamaru with a tilt of his head.
"that's okay I didn't at first either, but you will" said Narumi
"hm Ebisu-sensei never mentioned anything like this will telling me about the shortcuts" said Konohamaru.
"what shortcuts?" asked Narumi
"to becoming Hokage" replied Konohamaru.
"you can forget those" said the blond "no one becomes a kage thru shortcuts, its all hard work"
"it is?"
"yep, come with me and I'll show you the difference between shortcuts and hard work!"
"Okay!" said the boy following after the blond who began a walk to her destination.
"Feeling the burn yet, Gaki!" shouted a scantily clad purple haired woman, this was one Anko Mitarashi a Tokobetsu Jounin and adoptive older sister of one Narumi Uzumaki.
"I hate you…" groaned the small child sweating profusely and panting where he laid on the ground.
"are you gonna give up that easily Ko?" questioned Narumi as she came to stand next to the exhausted child.
"No way, Sis!" said Konohamaru with a determined look as he sat up on the ground.
"good-" began the blond before sensing someone approaching them. "Great he's found us" sighed Narumi.
"want me to handle him Naru?" questioned Anko from where she sat on a tree branch above them.
"nah I got it" said Narumi with a mischevious grin. "It's about time I test out that jutsu some someone" said he blond putting emphasis on the word 'that'
"oh I got to see this" snickered the Jounin. A few moments later one Ebisu landed in the forest clearing that held one Narumi Uzumaki and Konohamaru Sarutobi
"Found you, demon" spat the Jounin as he narrowed his eyes behind his glasses.
"yeah you did, and now you gonna take your beatings for sabotaging, Ko!" said the blond with a grin that was equal parts mischevious and vicious.
"sabotaging you say" said Ebisu adjusting his glasses on his nose.
"yeah!" said the girl making hand signs "now watch Ko, this is my own secret jutsu just for weirdo's like this guy!" stated the blond "multi Uzuton bushin!" with this the Jounin found himself surrounded by dozens of Narumi Uzumakis. "now, henge!" said every clone in unison as the small blonds where replaced by mature and voluptuous blond women who were in the buff!
"Wh-wh-wha…" said Ebisu in complete shock at what he was seeing.
"heh sorry, Ebisu-sensei, but you have to pay the price for seeing us like this" said the mature blonds in an overly cutesy way. The sentence not registering in the Jounin mind till a moment later and by that point it was to later as dozens of mature Narumi Uzumaki's before to beat the Jounin with in an inch of his life.
"And that ladies and gents is my Harem Bushin jutsu!" announced the blond as the blond and the henge was released leaving one Narumi Uzumaki. Turning around Narumi found Konohamaru with wide eyes and a slight nose bleed. 'Oppse I hope I didn't break his brain' thought the blond walking up to the child. "Hey Ko are you alright?" asked the blond as she knelled in front of him.
"Y-yeah" stuttered the blond in a way Narumi found cute.
"heh keep up your training Ko, can't have my rival falling to far behind me" said Narumi lightly chopping Konohamaru on the head it wasn't even strong enough to harm anyone.
"Rival?" asked the child
"yeah we're rivals for the position of Hokage now!" said the blond.
"Right! I'll catch up to you in no time!"
"Good, but I'm not gonna make it easy for you!"
[Hokage's office]
He Hokage stood in his office looking over the amassed Jounin all of whom where either already Jounin senseis or would soon become ones here where also a few parents of the graduating class pressent all of whom where Jounin. The Hokage had already assigned teams one through five and know he upcoming four teams would be controversial.
"team six will consist of Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akamichi and…" the Hokage paused to ready himself "and Izuna Nara to be lead by Asuma Sarutobi" this caused some wondering why the Hokage would break the traditional INO-SHIKA-CHO team. Hiruzen could also tell his son was not happy with not getting the Nara heir but he would speak with him in private about his reasons later. "team seven consist of: Sakura Haruno, Sai Shimura, and lastly Sasuke Uchiha who will be given to Jounin Kakashi Hatake." there were a few murmurs some pitying the grandchild of one Danzo Shimura and he last remaining Uchiha.
"Team eight will consist of Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka tto be lead by Jounin Kurenai Yuhi" this earned some concern mainly due to such high profile heirs being given to a relatively new Jounin. Kurenai was disappointed about not retrieving Narumi but she couldn't blame the Hokage for his reasons.
"team nine is still in rotation so we'll move onto team ten witch will consist of Shikamaru Nara, Kurashi Hyuga, and lasly Narumi Uzumaki-" when Hiruzen announced the last member of the team several Jounin voiced their unwanted opinions namely the dangers of placing the Jinchuriki with an clan heir.
"will you stop you whimpering what are you children!" snarled an Inuzuka Jounin that was in attendance she hand brown hair that was tied into a low pony tail her face tattoos where also shaped slight different from normal, her eyes a honey gold. Her clothing consisting of a fishnet armor top with a dark green poncho with an obi belt around her mid drift and a long skirt that reached her knees.
"glad to hear your so ready too defend her Mai" praised the elderly kage wig a kind smile.
"why's that mi lord?" asked the now named Mai Inuzuka.
"the Jounin sensei of team ten is Mai Inuzuka" announced the Hokage.
"with that you all know you team mates I suggest you get to know your teams till your Jounin leaders arrive to collect you" stated Iruka as he observed his students well after today that wouldn't be the case anymore.
"Yo!" shouted a voice as he door to the class room was kicked in and entered was one Mai Inuzuka with a sharp grin turned and gave the full room a once over.
"e-excuse me?" questioned Iruka looking at the Inuzuka.
"team ten get to training ground sixteen with in the next half hour… or say goodbye to being Shinobi!" said the brunette before turning on her heel leaving the room leaving the room in stunned silence for a minute.
"Shit! Wake up Shika we got to get moving now!" shouted Narumi as she grabbed and began dragging the half asleep Nara heir out of the room.
Chapter end
Alright chapter 2 is now re-written decided to change a bit this chapter for instance made Narumi and Konohamru's relationship the focus and cut out Narumi having dinner with the Naras. Also changed the teams Kurashi Hyuga and Mai Inuzuka are OCs Mai was always there but Kurashi is new and we'll get to know more about him later on hope you enjoy the chapter and hey the re-writes are almost done woo till next time R&R and bye!
