Staying in a hotel room for this long wasn't really Kimberly's plan. But it works for her for now at least. Trini and Jason have offered Kimberly to stay with them. But Kimberly had turned down their offer because she didn't feel comfortable staying in the same house with Kat. Aisha also tried offering her guest room to Kimberly. But Kimberly also turned down Aisha's offer, saying she was okay in her hotel room.
While all the students were at lunch. Kimberly used her lunch hour to continue to look through some more houses. Kimberly found some really beautiful houses she had fell in love with and some that were okay. There was one house that Kimberly would have love to own and that was her childhood home. Unfortunately when Kimberly moved to Florida and with her mom still in Paris with her stepfather. Her childhood home had to be sold to a new family.
Browsing through her laptop, Kimberly heard a knock at her classroom door. Kimberly looks up from her screen and glanced over at her door when she saw Kat standing by her door." Kat." Kimberly says in shock as she closes her laptop." What are you doing here?"
Kat walks into Kimberly's classroom and closes the door behind her. Walking over to Kimberly's desk as she sighs deeply." Why did you come back?" Kat asks right away as she stood in front of the desk and crossed her arms over her chest." Tommy and I were doing just fine until you came back. So why did you?" Kat asks once more.
" After my back injury. I went to Community College in Florida. Took some classes and got my teaching degree. When I heard they were hiring a new English teacher here. I knew I had to come back. I came back for the job. That was the original plan, Kat."
" And for Tommy," Kat said bitterly.
Kimberly shakes her head for a moment." Not exactly. At first, I had no idea Tommy and you were staying with Jason and Trini or that you guys were even married. I mean Trini told me once that you two started dating little after I had broken up with him. But I didn't know the marriage part not until I saw your guys wedding photo hanging on Trini's wall. I never meant for you to get hurt Kat. That was the last thing that I ever wanted to do and when I told Tommy at the beginning that we shouldn't go any further. That's when Tommy mention that he had already filed for divorce and sent you the divorce papers. Which was over two months ago."
" Yeah, I got them. But I never sign them and I am not going to either. Tommy is my husband and he is always going to be my husband. So I am here to tell you right now. Leave us the hell alone and stay the hell away from Tommy." Kat places her hands down on Kimberly's desk as she leans over and looks straight into Kimberly's eyes." Cause if you don't, I am going to make your life a living hell that you wish you never came back to Angel Grove,"
" Sorry Kat, but I can't do that. the divorce is gonna happen whether you like or not and once your divorce from Tommy is finalized, Tommy and I will be getting our own place and there's nothing you could do about it. So you can threaten me all you want Kat. I really don't care cause I am not going anywhere this time. So you better get used to seeing me around." Kimberly says leaning back against her chair and shrugs her shoulders,
Kat huffs and grabs her purse and gritted her teeth," We will see about that." Kat turns towards Kimberly's classroom door. After she pulls it open and storms out of the classroom. Kat slams the door shut. Kat balls her hand into a fist and screams out in frustration and walks straight out of the school out into the parking a lot. Once Kat was in her car and after she slams her car door shut hard. Kat hit the stirring wheel in frustration as she leans back against her seat and pinches the bridge of her nose. A moment later Kat pulled out of the parking a lot and went straight home.
After school, Kimberly decided to take a walk through the Angel Grove park. The park that she and her friends used to hang out every day at the park. When they weren't fighting off Lord Zeds or Rita's monsters. Kimberly had wonderful memories of the park. Some were good and some were not so good, While Kimberly was walking trying to clear head and try not to forget what Kat had just told her. Kimberly can't help but wonder if what she and Tommy are doing is even the right thing. After all, he is married and normally Kimberly would never go after a married man. But then again it's Tommy and Kimberly never stopped loving him and she probably never will. Kimberly sighs softly as she walks over to one of the picnic tables and sat down. While she was in deep thought and was trying to figure out what she was gonna do with the situation. Kimberly heard her cell ringing from her purse. She groans softly as she already knew who the caller was. She buried her head in her folded arms ignoring his call and just let it go to voicemail.
Tommy deeply sighs as he got her voicemail instead of her actual voice." Hey, Kim, it's Tommy. I am not sure where you at or why you not picking up but it's close to six-thirty and Mr. Keplain's retirement party starts at Seven. I am on my way to pick you up so just be ready and make sure you wear that beautiful dress I like." Tommy says as he smirks and hangs up. Placing his cell back in his pocket and grabbing his keys, Tommy turned around and noticed Kat was standing in the doorway of their room well her room now.
" Hey."
" Hey, Tommy." Kat says as she stepped into the room." was that Kimberly you were talking to on the phone just now?" Kat asked as she walks over to the bed and sat down." Is that who you gonna see tonight?"
Tommy sighs softly as he nods head while putting his jacket on." Yeah, I am picking her up and we are going to go to the Youth center. Tonight's is Mr. Kaplain's retirement party. You can still come if you want. It doesn't have to be this awkward between us or between you and Kim, Kat," Tommy says as he looks at Kat for a moment." You might have fun all our friends are gonna be there."
" Right and what? Just sit back and watch you two make out all night? Thanks but no thanks, I would rather stay home and watch you make out with your ex-girlfriend which by the way, When are you going to drop the bitch and come back to me your wife?"
Tommy sighs deeply as he pinched the bridge of his nose." Kat, we've talked about this remember? It's over between us and you know that and as soon as you sign those divorce papers. The sooner we both can move on with our lives and the sooner Kimberly and I can move in together and start living our lives."
" Your moving in with her?! WHAT THE HELL?" Kat screams out as she jumped to her feet," You never mention to me that you were gonna be living with her."Kat says angrily as she shook her head as soon as she felt the tears rolling down her face." Damn it, Tommy. We were supposed to be married forever and now all of sudden you want a fucking divorce?!" Kat says as her voice cracks. " What happened to us?"
" You cheated on me remember and even though I have forgiven you for it, I can't seem to get passed it, Kat. I am sorry and I know that hurts but these past few years with you haven't felt the same anymore. You're just gonna have to accept the fact that I am still in love with Kimberly and she is who I want. Now I am done with this conversation. I gotta go pick up Kimberly." Tommy turns around and walks out of the room and out of the front door to pick up Kimberly for the party at the Youth Center.
