During Mr. Kaplan's retirement party. Kimberly sat at one of the tables in the Youth Center, Trying to listen to Trini telling everyone her story about how Jason was almost late for work this morning when all she could is think about her conversation with Kat earlier today when Kat came to Kimberly's classroom unannounced and threatened Kimberly. Kimberly glanced over and watched Tommy talking with Billy over at the Juice Bar. Since they got here which was only two ago. Kimberly has been avoiding Tommy. She hasn't brought herself to tell him what Kat threatened her with or their conversation.

- Two Hours Earlier-

When Kimberly got out of the bathroom after her shower and after she got a dress. She heard a knock at her hotel room door. Kimberly sighs softly as she walked towards the door. Once she opened the door and saw Tommy standing in front of her in a Tux looking more handsome than ever. Kimberly moved to the side and let him in before closing the door behind them.

" I have been trying to reach all afternoon Kim." Tommy says as he turned around to face him." What happened?" He asked.

" Nothing happened. I just turned my cell off." Kimberly says as she walked past him and grabbed her Jacket." You ready to go?" Kimberly asked as she walked towards the door.

" Why did you shut your phone off?" Tommy asked as he raised his brow for a moment." You never shut your phone off."

" Yeah, well this time I did. I needed time to think about things Tommy. There are things we need to talk about. But not right now. We will talk about it when we get back." Kimberly says as she opens the door and walks out heading towards the elevators.

Tommy quickly follows her and before Kimberly hits the button, Tommy grabs her wrist stopping her." Did I do something wrong? Is it about us?" Tommy asked with concern as he looks down at her. Just the thought of losing Kimberly again is something Tommy won't be able to handle not this time.

Kimberly slowly reaches up and gently places her hand against his face. She watches as Tommy closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as he could feel her soft warm touch against his skin. Kimberly steps closer as she leans up and kisses his lips softly before pulling away from him.

" We will talk after the party," Kimberly whispered as she slowly let's go of his face and hit the button on the elevator.

Coming back to the present. Kimberly decided she wanted to call it a night and go home early." Hey, guys. I'm going to head home." Kimberly says as she grabs her Jacket and purse as she started to stand up.

" Are you sure?. You just got here." Trini says as she watches Kimberly for a moment." They were going to bring out the cake and show slides of Mr. Kaplan's time at the school."

" Yeah, I am sure. I gotta get up early for class." Kimberly says as she gave Trini a friendly kiss on the cheek." I will call you later." Kimberly says as she walked past the table and went to find Tommy. Walking over to the juice bar Kimberly places her hand on Tommy's shoulder.

" I am really not in the mood to be here. Mind taking me home?"

"Um, sure. Is everything okay?" Tommy asked with concern.

" Yeah, everything is fine. It's just I got classes tomorrow and a few staff meetings. Plus I am really tired so I just wanna get home and get some sleep." Kimberly says with a small smile.

" Good night Billy," Kimberly says as she gave him a kiss on the cheek before heading out the door of the youth center. Kimberly walked up Mr. Kaplan on her way out and congratulated him on his retirement. After their goodbyes, Kimberly walked out With Tommy.

Pulling up to the hotel. Tommy stopped the engine of his truck. Pulling the keys out of the ignition. Both Tommy and Kimberly just sat there in silence. It was so quiet and so intense that you cut it with a knife. After the silence and tension, they both looked at each other.

"Tommy-."

"Kimberly"-. They both started to speak and suddenly stopped when Kimberly went silent and turn her head away from him as she faced the window. Kimberly closed her eyes for a moment as she could feel his eyes burning through her.

"What?" Kimberly asked calmly.

" You been avoiding me at the party and now here we are just sitting and you won't even look at me." What did I do wrong?" Tommy asked." Please tell me." He pleads." Why did you want to leave the party early?"

Kimberly sighs softly as she knew she should tell Tommy what's going on." Kat came by to my classroom during lunch today." Kimberly says looking over at him." And she had something to say. Something that had me thing, Tommy. Mostly about us."Kimberly says as she looks over at him for a moment.

" Like, what exactly?" Tommy asked as he could see the sadness in her eyes which makes him worry even more." Kim, what did Kat tell you?" Tommy asked once more." Please tell me."

Kimberly sighs softly as she quickly wipes the tears from her eyes." Kat told me she has no plans to sign the divorce papers and that you are her husband. She also says that I should stay away from you and if I don't know she will make my life a living hell." Kimberly says softly as she looks down. Kimberly then shrugged her shoulders and shakes her head." Maybe she's right."

" What's she right about?" Tommy asked shaking his head." I will tell you, nothing. Kat doesn't get to come between you and me. My marriage with Kat was over for a long time now Kimberly. Before you moved back home I barely slept in the same bed with her. I was always on the couch or in the spare bedroom that Jason and Trini set up downstairs in the den." Tommy reaches over lifting her chin up with his hand and turns her face to look at him." is what has been bothering you? Is this why you been avoiding me for the past two hours?"

Kimberly just closed her eyes and nods her head as she tried to fight back the tears.

Tommy grabs her face with both hands pulling her face closer to him. He gently kisses her tears away. He then places his lips against hers and kisses her deeply and passionately as he slips his hands and fingers through her hair as he continues to pour his love and heart out to her in their kiss. Tommy breath softly as he pulls back and rests his forehead against hers." My heart belongs to you Kimberly and Kat will never be able to take that away from you. I promise you Kat will sign those divorce papers."

And what if she doesn't?" Kimberly asked as she kept her forehead against his.

" She will cause I am going to make sure she does and if I have to look over her shoulder just to make sure she signs them. That's exactly what I am gonna do." Tommy says as he leans in and kisses her more passionately once more and moans softly against her lips." Everything is gonna be okay babe." Tommy says gently as he wipes her tears away once more.

Kimberly just nods her head as she gave him a small smile." I should get inside. I got papers to grade also I am in need of another hot shower." Kimberly says as she chuckles lightly. Kimberly returns his kiss softly and tenderly as she placed her hand against his face." Good night Tommy." Kimberly says softly as she pulls back from him.

" Good night Kimberly," Tommy says as he smiles softly at her as he watches the woman he has ever loved the only woman he will always love climbing out of his truck. Tommy sat there for a few more minutes watching Kimberly walking towards the hotel suite, Once Kimberly had disappeared through the doors. Tommy started up the engine and pulls out into the traffic heading home as he needs to talk to Kat.
