Ojiro stared at the white door leading to Hagakure's room. He wiped his sweaty palms against his suit jacket and took a deep breath. Calm down, this is Hagakure. She's literally the sweetest girl in the class. You got this. He imagined Tokoyami asking him where his confidence was now. He arched his shoulders back and knocked on her door. "Coming!" Hagakure said. After a few seconds, the invisible girl opened her door. "Hi Ojiro, what a nice surprise!" She was wearing a light yellow bathrobe with a matching towel over her head.
Embarrassed, Ojiro looked away. "Oh sorry, Hagakure. I was wondering if you wanted to walk to class together," he said.
She looked down and closed the door a little bit. "Of course! Let me get changed really quick." She slammed the door, and all heard was shuffling from her side. Well, she definitely has hair then. Idiot, why wouldn't she have hair?
A few minutes passed and she walked out in her uniform and bad in hand. "Ready!" They walked to the elevator in silence. Is he going to ask me? Should I ask him now? What should I do?
Just before they hit the first floor, Ojiro asked, "Hagakure, will you go to the gala with me?" At that moment, the doors opened with Kaminari, Sero and Kirishima passing by with Hagakure hugging Ojiro and saying yes a bunch of times while Ojiro just smiled.
"And that's another girl down," Sero said. Kaminari and Kirishima stared at their feet in defeat while they walked to class.
Class began on time today; however, many of the students had their minds elsewhere. One of these students was Momo. Who do I want to go with? She glanced at Iida across the room. Iida would make an honorable choice. Plus, we have to lead the first dance anyway. She then glanced at Uraraka behind him. I don't want to ruin her chances at love though. What if she likes him?
Mina's mischievous grin then came to mind. "What about Todoroki?" she said.
Todoroki. Momo eyed the boy sitting next to her for a moment. He was writing down notes as Aizawa lectured about some hero agendas. Todoroki. Would he even go with me? We do make a good team in the battlefield, and he trusts me. He also has those gorgeous eyes...wait, what am I doing? Todoroki caught her staring at him, and her cheeks flared red. She turned away. She pulled out her notebook and tried to catch up with Aizawa's lecture.
Is something wrong with Yaoyorozu? Maybe I should check with her after class. Todoroki then turned his attention back to Aizawa.
A couple rows up, Kaminari wrote a note and passed it to Jirou. She gave him an uncertain look. He motioned her to open the note. Rolling her eyes, she read, "I got a new CD you have to hear! Wanna listen after class in my room today?" It had a checkbox for yes or no. She glanced at him and nodded. He motioned for her to check the box. Sighing, she checked yes and passed it back to him. He gave her a thumbs up with a big grin on his face.
Soon after, the bell rang for the next period. Momo stood up and jogged out of the classroom. Todoroki quickened his pace to catch up to her. "Yaoyorozu," he called.
Shaking a bit, she turned around. "Yes, Todoroki?" she asked.
"Are you alright? It seems like something is bothering you?" Her cheeks became warm again. He stepped closer to her. "Now your cheeks are red. Do you need to see Recovery Girl?"
She took a step back. "No, no, I'm fine! I, uh, am just stressed about the gala and everything, hehe."
"I understand. Is it the whole first dance thing?"
"Um, yes! That's exactly it!"
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
Besides asking me to the gala right now, probably not. "I don't think so, Todoroki, but thank you for the offer."
He thought for a second and snapped his fingers. "Maybe you just need some time to relax. Do you want to go to a cafe tomorrow with me? You and I both need could use some time off campus." Momo's face turned beat red. "Your face is red again."
"It's fine! I'm just a little warm."
"Do you want me to cool you down?" He raised his right hand, but she waved it off.
"No, no that's alright, thank you!" She took a deep breath. "I would love to get lunch with you. How does noon sound?"
"Great, I'll stop by your room then we'll head out."
"Sounds good. We should get to class now." He nodded, and they made their way to English.
After a couple more classes, it was time for lunch. Aoyama slowly walked out the class with his head down, deep in his thoughts. Who shall I ask? Mr. Aizawa said we can ask out people of the same gender, but who can I ask? He sighed and then a strong force knocked him down to the ground. A girl with long red hair in a side ponytail rubbed her head. "Watch where you're going." Kendo said as she turned. "Aoyama?"
He stood up. "Desolée, mon amie!" he exclaimed. He helped her back on her feet. "I should have been paying more attention. Forgive me." He bowed his head.
"It's no trouble," she replied. "May I ask what is on your mind?"
Aoyama surveyed his area. They were the only ones in the hall at the moment. "Do you know about the Hero's Gala?"
"Oh yeah, some of the girls in my class are getting excited as some boys in your class may be asking them."
"Are you included in that, ma chère?"
She laughed. "I'm not sure, but it would be cool to go. Have you asked anyone yet?"
"I'm having some trouble indeed." He looked around again. "May I tell you something?"
"Of course, Aoyama."
He took a deep breath. "No one knows what I am about to say, so please keep it to yourself." She nodded. "I'm gay."
Her eyes widened, but then she smiled. "Thank you for trusting me with that information, Aoyama."
The twinkling boy sighed in relief and placed a hand on his chest. "It's so nice to say it out loud to someone, but now you see my predicament. I'm not sure if anyone else is out yet, but I'm not sure if I am ready to come out yet either."
Little did they know, Tetsutseu walked near a corner but stopped when he heard, "Do you want me to go with you, Aoyama?" The steele hero froze in his spot.
Aoyama wrapped his arms around her. "Merci, ma chère! I would be honored." Tetsu peeked around the corner and saw them hugging. He scowled and went back the way he came.
"It's no problem. Any good friend would do the same. Do you want to go to lunch with me?" She held out her hand. Friends. That's nice to hear. Even though his stomach wouldn't be happy with him later, he took her hand.
The final bell rang signaling classes were done for the week. The students cheered and secretly, the teachers were excited too. In fact, Aizawa, Toshinori, and Hizashi agreed to get drinks like they usually do on Fridays. Hizashi and Toshinori sat at their usual booth as Aizawa walked in. "Sorry, I'm late, I had to organize the paperwork for Sunday," he said. The bartender saw him and began preparing his usual drink.
"Yo, it's crazy how your class was invited to the gala!" Hizashi exclaimed.
The waiter placed Aizawa's sake in front of him. "Yeah, and I love how they told us only two weeks in advance."
Toshinori grinned. "That sounds like the committee."
Hizashi leaned back against the leather seat. "I'm just glad Midnight agreed to go with me this year," he said.
"Wait, you're going with Midnight?" Aizawa asked.
"YEEEAAHHH!" Hizashi shouted, much to the displeasure of the other patrons.
"Congratulations, Hizashi, you two are going to have a great time," Toshinori said while holding his drink up.
Hizashi leaned in close. "Who are you two taking to the gala?" he asked.
Aizawa crossed his arms. "No one," he muttered.
"C'mon Aizawa, you are making class take dates. You should follow your own rules," Toshinori pointed out.
"You can ask a certain funny hero we know," Hizashi suggested.
Aizawa gulped down his drink. "I would rather fight the whole League of Villains right now." He turned his attention to the former symbol of peace. "What about you, All Might? You are the guest of honor."
Toshinori rubbed the back of his head. "I have someone in mind," he said.
"C'mon man, you gotta tell us!" Hizashi said.
"All in good time," he replied. He looked at his watch. "Excuse me, gentleman. I have to go on my daily jog." He placed some money down and left as the two heroes watched him leave.
"Whose this mystery person?" Hizashi asked.
Aizawa waved their waiter down. "Whoever it is, it's going to be interesting."
