Anna was taken aback. She didn't know how to respond. Maria was looking at her and in awe. No one had seen her for centuries. Okay, she had Jack and Olaf, or at least use to, and the Guardians, but actual real live people. Not that the others weren't real people, but...ahh...you get the point. It was totally strange.
"You're the Princess of Light!" Maria said excitedly.
"The what?" Anna blinked. She knew she had several titles, but this was one no one had ever given her. Either in this life or the last. Not that she remembered a lot of her human life, but the sound of it was unfamiliar.
"You know?" Maria said as if it were obvious. "The princess who made everything brighter wherever she went, saw the good in everyone and even sacrificed her life for the snow queen. That was you wasn't it."
Anna recalled what she saw in her memory box. The last thing she saw was her freezing and running to protect her sister from being killed as then was brought in darkness before Manny brought her back.
"Yeah..." In a sense she did sacrifice her life for the Snow Queen, but to her, she was sacrificing her life for her sister. Elsa was nothing more than her sister. Her best friend. She didn't see her as a queen like the rest of the kingdom, or as a monster like those who were afraid. Even when she couldn't remember her and saw her as a spirit, Anna had seen her differently from everyone else. She felt a connection to her and now she knew why. She was her sister.
"Light?" She repeated the word as if tasting it. The spirit went into deep thought. As a human she was left in the dark, but always found a way to make things brighter, as if turning on the light and then there was the nightmare sand with Jack. She had temporarily stopped it. Herlighthad chased the darkness away.
"That's it!" She grinned excitedly at the sudden realization. "Light is my centre!"
Maria blinked at the older girl's excitement. "What?" What did she mean light was her centre? What was a centre anyway? She knew what it meant, but she figured that the girl had another meaning for it at the moment. At least she was happy and that was good, right?
Anna came down and looked at Maria with wide eyes. "Thank you." She hugged her and then pulled back. Wow, that was something she'd need to get use to. "If I have to save Jack, I'm going to need to believe in myself and bring him back into the light."
"What happen to Jack?" She didn't bother asking more about him, but with the way she said his name, Maria knew he was someone special to her.
"Pitch got to him and I think I'm the only one who can save him." Anna said determinedly.
The room suddenly became cold and the windows burst opened as the wind came in un-welcomed. Anna stood protectively in front of Maria and glared at the figure entering through the window. Maria stared wide eyed at the stranger from behind Anna. He appeared young and innocent, but she could pick up the dark vibes coming from him, yet she could sense a trapped soul as well. As if someone were fighting to get out and gain control.
"Are you sure I even need saving, princess?" Jack said, a smile curling on his lips.
"I know you do." Anna answered with confidence. "Because I know that there's still good in you. I know that the real Jack is in there, fighting..." She paused for a moment and relaxed her stance. "...my Jack..."
