Another week went by, and before everyone knew it, the gala was tomorrow. Around 3 p.m., a black limo pulled in front of Inko Midoriya's apartment as she stood outside with a suitcase in hand. All Might walked out of the limo to open the door for her. "My Toshinori, isn't this a little much?" she asked as he sat her bag in the car.
"Only the best for you, my dear," he replied. He stepped back for her to enter. "You are my special guest after all." She giggled and entered the vehicle.
They laughed and talked all the way to the Morning Glory Hotel where the gala was being held. Inko gaped at the large building. "Wait until you see the inside," Toshinori said.
The pair walked into the lobby where they were met with marble floors and a large chandelier. "Wow," she said.
"It was built specifically for the Hero's Gala and other large events," Toshinori said. They then got their keys and were led to their rooms, 4A and 4B. "The ball room is on the second floor," Toshinori explained. Before Inko opened their room, Toshinori grabbed her hand. "I hope you like your surprise." He winked at her and then entered his room.
Inko slowly opened her door to see her finished dress at the back of the room, hanging against her closet. She threw her bag on her bed and ran to unzip the bag. She stared at the gold fabric as she held it against herself in her mirror. It was a gold, sparkling dress that seemed to hit her curves in all the right places. A knock brought her out of her fantasy. Toshnori walked in. "Do you like it?" he asked.
She turned to face him. "Oh, Toshi, it's better than the designer said it was going to be!" She placed the dress back in the bag. "I don't know if I deserve all of this."
All Might went up to her to hold her hands. "You have become one of my dearest friends, and you have raised the next number one hero. You deserve this and more."
Inko turned to stare at the window. "I wish we had told Izuku. Maybe this whole surprise thing isn't a good idea."
"The boy will be fine," Toshinori said, walking to stand next to her. "He will be happy to see you here and having a good time. He's that amazing."
"He is, isn't he?"
"Well, let's get ready for dinner before the students come!" All Might said as he walked out of the room. She giggled at his boisterous nature.
I hope you're right, Toshi.
A few hours later, Mr. Aizawa and Ms. Joke led the students through the doors of the hotel after placing their bags with the bellhops. They gawked at the fancy place. "How did we get invited again?" Jirou asked.
Mr. Aizawa turned to his class. "I'm going to check us in. Afterwards, you may explore the hotel or relax in your room for an hour. Then I expect you all to be back here by 7 p.m. for dinner. Am I understood?" he said.
"Yes sir," the class responded.
Once Aizawa got the keys, the students found who their roommates were for the next couple nights. Since Komori dropped out, hence Mineta no longer being there, Camie and Aoyama got their own rooms, much to their pleasure. Some students decided to chill in their rooms while most of them wanted to explore their new environment. Kirishima, Mina, Camie and Bakugou went to the second floor and entered the ball room. "OMG, these stairs to the ballroom look like they're straight from Titanic!" Camie exclaimed.
"You are so right, girl! We gotta take some pictures," Mina added. The boys groaned in response.
"C'mon Bakubro! You can be my Jack," Camie said.
"Doesn't that bastard die in the end?" Bakugou replied.
"Have you seen Titanic?" Kirishima asked him. The girls began to laugh as he grew red.
"Shut up! Give me your phone, Illusions, and let's get this over with," Bakugou said.
After some posing, they explored the ballroom which was still being set up by the hotel staff. The walls were white with gold details all around. One half of the ballroom was full of tables, while the other half had a stage against the wall and room to dance. "This looks amazing," Mina said.
Camie pointed to the side of the room where there was a large window. "Looks like there's a balcony. We totes gotta check it out!" she said.
The balcony overlooked the hotel's large garden which included steps to lead you down to it. "That's nice if we need to take a break from the gala," Kirishima said.
"Or to escape from it," Bakugou muttered.
In the garden, Tokoyami and Tsuyu were walking together. There were flowers of all types around them with a large tree in the middle that had a simple wooden swing. "This is so nice," Tsu said.
"It was very kind of Mr. Aizawa to allow us to explore the hotel before dinner," Tokoyami said.
"Yeah, I can't believe that we are here as students."
"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Tsu saw a bench along the pathway and went to sit down. She stared at her lap while he sat next to her. "Tsu?"
"I'm very honored to be here. I guess I'm a little worried about dancing in my dress and making a fool of myself."
"You are going to look lovely. You are a great dancer and went to every dance practice. My biggest challenge is to not step on your feet," Tokoyami chuckled.
"You are going to be fine. You look so graceful whatever you do. I'm too lanky and strange."
Tokoyami entangled his fingers with hers. "Tsu, you are beautiful inside and out. The other pro heroes are going to see that tomorrow like I do now. You should be kinder to yourself."
Tsu looked at Tokoyami. "Thank you. I'm glad I asked you to do this with me."
"Me too." His watch then beeped. "Uh-oh, we should get going before we are late to dinner."
Still holding hands, they walked back to the lobby, meeting with the other students. After dinner, they went to their rooms to prepare to be groomed and made up for the Hero's Gala the next day.
