RWBY: Chosen King and Queen

Chapter 6: The Stray

Drayce awoke with a startle as he woke up to another one of his weird dreams. 'What is going on? Ever since that day at the garden, these dreams keep popping up.'

"Another one of those dreams again." The leader of team RRZA followed the voice which came from Argus. Drayce nodded, "Are you sure it's wise to not tell the king about this? It does seem serious."

Drayce shook his head, as multiple times he's had a chance to tell his father; however he never did. "No, my father shouldn't have to be burdened by a few weird dreams. "But Dray, you've been having these dreams for years now. Ever since you were 10. And that's concerning," Zyaire said.

"Not to mention it's been increasing with how many you get nowadays," Rainier said.

Drayce shook his head, "I'll be fine, don't worry too much guys." Drayce got up and began to put on his clothes and started heading out, "My father wants to be in a meeting so I'll be going up to Ozpin today. From what I know team RWBY is going out to scout competition from Weiss' idea. Feel free to join and I'll catch up with you guys." With that Drayce left leaving his friends concerned.

As the elevator was taking him up to Ozpin's office, Drayce thought of the events that happened last night, and although he was happy and content with everything. He still couldn't fully stop worrying. He was still afraid. But no one would ever know that, 'The future king must always be confident and unwavering. What a bunch of BS.' He thought as multiple politicians and news outlets not of the royal court thought of.

Before he could continue that thought the door opened and inward was Ozpin's office, "Prince Regulus, it is a pleasure for you to-" Ozpin started but was cut off by Drayce.

"You can drop the formalities, you will find out that I'm more lax than your politicians. Besides as of right now, I am in your academy thus I am just like any other student when it comes to outside meetings." Drayce said.

Ozpin smiled and nodded, "Very well, Drayce it is. Would you like to get started? The other kingdoms are waiting," Drayce nodded.

Drayce wore a suit which was all black except for the tie which was red as he stood behind Ozpin and a video call was formed as the leaders of the nations of the world were on full display. Professor Theodore the headmaster of Shade Academy and his council, Professor Lionheart along his council, General Ironwood along with his council, the council of Vale, King Anwir Vered and his son Ares Vered of the kingdom of Linux, and lastly Drayce's father, King of Arlyn, Fenrir Regulus.

"Sorry for being a little late. Had to take care of a few of my students. You all know how us headmasters are," Ozpin said with a slight smile on his face.

"Very well, Ozpin, it shall be dismissed," one of the Vale council members had said, "However I recommend that you could at least find a seat for the Prince of Arlyn. Please show more respect for the next one in line of Arlyn."

Drayce decided to speak on this, "I have already discussed with Professor Ozpin on how he should treat me with my stay here in Beacon. I may be the prince of Arlyn but as of right now I am also a student of Beacon Academy and therefore he shall treat me the same as any other student would be treated."

The council member scowled slightly but let it go as Theodore gave a boisterous laugh, "Oh my what an interesting young lad you have there King Fenrir. I'm sure that you must be proud of his upbringing."

The king smiled slightly and was very pleased with his son's answer; however due to his king status he didn't say so, "Let's get down to business shall we," Fenrir said.

"He is correct," Ironwood stated as he grabbed everyone's attention, "The Vytal Festival is an event of utmost importance. Especially when it comes to our Kingdoms."

Headmaster Lionheart nodded, "Seeing as it was held in Mistral the last time around, we shall not be hosting it this year."

Everyone nodded as Theodore spoke up, "Hm what about Vale this year. From my knowledge it has been some time since you've handled the Vytal Festival."

One of Vale's councilmen responded, "We would love to hold this year. We have a detailed plan just in case we were picked this year. Thus we are very ready for the responsibility."

"Very well, the Kingdom of Vale shall host this year's Vytal Festival," one of the Atlesian councilmen stated to which most of everyone agreed.

"If I may interject," Ozpin asked, with everyone looking his way, "I actually have something else in mind."

"And what would that be," Lionheart asked.

Ozpin folded his hands in front of him as he started, "As you all know the Vytal Festival is a time of peace and celebration. It has been to keep us, the kingdoms united while also showing the growth and progress of us as Huntsmen and Huntresses. It is a time to look back and remember the great disaster that took place in our history. Vale, Mistral, Vacuo, and Atlas were the main Kingdoms in this war; however, during the end The Kingdom of Arlyn and Linux were forced into this conflict."

"What are you proposing Ozpin?" Questioned a Vale council member.

"I propose that we have the Kingdom of Arlyn host the Vytal Festival this year."

There was an uproar as many councilmen whispered to each other. Drayce was surprised and looked up to his father only to see him smirk ever so slightly that one who has been around him for so long would know. 'He knew.'

Ironwood coughed into his hand to signal everyone's attention, "While that is an interesting and very bold suggestion, why have you proposed this?"

"As you know the Kingdoms of Arlyn and Linux had a great deal of involvement in ending the war so swiftly. Thus I feel as though we must give our respects to them and let them host the next two Vytal Festivals," Ozpin stated.

A Mistral council member, "Are we sure about this? It takes time and preparation to run the Vytal Festival. For something to spring up and choose Arlyn or Linux wouldn't that just put added pressure on them?"

"If I may," King Regulus said as they turned to listen to him, "In recent years, Arlyn has been preparing itself to be more involved in the world of Remnant. Thus with the possibility of having the Vytal festival we have already taken the necessary steps to ensure that we can handle such a thing."

"What about transportation? Those who have followed the Vytal Festival would think that it would be held in Vale and thus would think that they need to be in Vale while getting transportation there first."

Drayce grabbed everyone's attention as he coughed in his hand, "There would be an easy remedy for that and one to give some people more of a spectacle inside of Arlyn."

Intrigued by his son, Fenrir spoke, "And what would this be?"

"Let's have everyone gather in Vale and send the civilians through free transportation and have said transportation to fly around the crown city showing them the different sites and festivals of the kingdom, along with a little show from Arlyn. With those who have rooms reserved, we can easily switch those to our hotels and at the same time give them profit still to the previous hotels for their business."

"And what about the students of such academies? As you would know the students go to the schools that are nearest to where the festival will be early."

"I propose that the students arrive at Beacon first as well and then we give them transportation to Arlyn as well but earlier than usual. Say about two and a half months from now. This will give time for those of Arlyn to be able to provide something for the students as well as give them time to put on a show for the people. The soldiers of Arlyn are RoyalGlaives. They are more than capable of handling things on such notice."

Fenrir thought about the idea and enjoyed it, "An excellent idea. That I definitely agree on."

"That may be so; however, the Vytal festival's tournament is a tournament for upcoming huntsmen and huntresses, which you do not have, instead calling them RoyalGlaives. Not only that, they operate differently from traditional Huntsman. They are devoted to the king as you have different subdivisions of RoyalGlaives ranging from reconnaissance, intelligence, and combat."

"While yes, they are different from your huntsman, they do follow the exact function of huntsmen of keeping the peace and prosperity of everyone. Now I don't believe that having my RoyalGlaives fight against your Huntsmen is something that I would want for my kingdom, thus I sent my son to become a Huntsman to bridge that gap. He shall fight in Arlyn's place."

The council men spoke amongst themselves, until General Ironwood spoke, "Very well, I agree with this sentiment on one condition."

King Regulus folded his hands in front of him, "And what would that be General."

"I propose that Vale and Atlas help with the protection of the Vytal Festival and your Kingdom."

More whispered uproared, when the King of Linux, Anwir spoke out, "General, are you saying that you feel that the Kingdom of Arlyn is incapable of protecting itself and those in the kingdom."

"Not at all, I merely want to make sure that everything is run smoothly, and help with any festivities that it may want to incorporate from our kingdom's perspective. Which is why I chose Atlas and Vale as the two since they were the main forces in The Great War."

King Fenrir nodded, "Very well. I accept."

Ozpin smiled slightly, "Well then I believe that this meeting is done here. The next Vytal Festival, this year, will be held in the Kingdom of Arlyn."

Headmaster Theodore nodded, "Very well, I will be informing those in my school. I certainly can't wait to see your son in action, fair king. Until then stay in good health." Fenrir nodded as people started to disconnect from the call leaving Fenrir, Ironwood, Anwir, and Ozpin.

"Well I can say that this was an eventful morning. With that we will also be sending a team to Arlyn. I do hope your son goes against mine. It would be a spectacle for all to see."

King Fenrir chuckled, "Yes it would."

Drayce looked to Anwir's son, Ares, as they nodded to each other. They have met multiple times with each other going to the other's kingdom. Drayce never agreed with Ares and his views but he respected him as a great fighter and Ares vice versa. If Drayce had to guess where Ares was in terms of combat, he would say that they were dead even. Anwir and his son bid their farewells and cut their connection, leaving Fenrir, Drayce, and Ozpin. "Father," Fenrir perked up at Drayce, "Thank you."

"And for what, if I may ask?"

"For letting me join this school along with allowing me to experience other countries as well."

Fenrir nodded, "My father did something similar for me so I felt it was in your best interest to experience it as well." Fenrir then gained a mischievous glint in his eyes, "If you don't mind me asking, how is Ms. Rose doing?"

Drayce blushed slightly, "She is doing rather well. She is also a leader of her own team as well."

Fenrir smiles, "Well that's great. Now then go and enjoy yourself. Professors Ozpin and I need to talk about something as well." Drayce nodded and left the room without saying another word, "How is he?"

Ozpin looked towards the door, "He is doing fine; however he is still struggling with his dreams."

"He hasn't confided these dreams with anyone else other than his team has he?"

"Actually he has."

"Oh? And would I be correct if I said it was Ms. Rose."

Ozpin nodded, "You would be correct. They are very close, but I think you already know that."

"Interesting. Keep me updated about Ms. Rose. I suspect there is more about her than either of us know."

King Regulus cut the feed and left Ozpin thinking about what he had said, 'I wonder what it could be.'

Drayce was walking throughout the town, he was thinking to himself, mainly about his dreams. What did they mean? Why did he feel familiarity with each person he dreams of? It was like those people are him, but how? More thoughts ran through his head until he saw a store that was broken into and the police conducting an investigation.

'Hmm. It seems there was another dust robbery. From what Ruby said, the night she met Ozpin, she fought with Torchwick and his cronies. I wonder if this is related.'

"The filthy faunus from the boat!"

Drayce sighed, 'And there goes Weiss.' Drayce walked around the corner to see Blake and Weiss arguing.

"Stop calling him a rapscallion, stop calling him a degenerate. He's a person!" Blake argued.

"Oh I'm sorry, would you like me to stop calling this trash can as a trash can, or this lamp post as a lamp post," Weiss said back.

Drayce sighed once again, "I swear, I feel as though I can't leave you guys alone without you causing some trouble."

The group looked at the newcomer, "Drayce!" Penny said as she ran to Drayce.

"Wait Penny no, no, no-" Penny then tackled Drayce to the ground as she hugged him.

"Oh Drayce, my friend it's so good to see you again!"

Drayce, not able to do much due to how heavy and tight Penny was hugging him, just said, "It's great to see you too. Now please get off, I can't breathe."

Everyone felt a sort of presence, so they all looked to the left of them to see Ruby, there with her eyes locked on the two with malicious type aura rising slowly. Yang smirked, "Wow, never knew my sister could be the possessive type." Ruby heard this, then instantly stopped and became shy as her face turned a shade of red.

Ruby cleared her throat, "Drayce how do you know Penny."

Drayce got up from the ground, "Penny and I met when she came to Arlyn with her father. They were rather nice people, so Penny and I became friends." He then turned to Blake and Weiss, "But that's besides the point. You two."

"Us?" They both asked.

"Yes, you two. What do you think you're doing?" They both looked at Drayce in confusion, "You both are acting like children. Weiss, those comments are for a lack of a better term, racist. Mind you, have you forgotten that we have mixed blood among us. Just because one person is like the way you say, does not mean they are all like that. Would you say those same things to Velvet or Zyaire? "

Weiss realized what he meant as she turned to Zyaire and waved, "Hey," he said with a smile.

Drayce continued, "And you Blake should know better to argue, especially out in the open."

"But she berated the Faunus and discriminated against them and that's not fair," Blake argued back.

"Life is not fair Blake," Drayce said with authority and it struck a chord in Blake. "We are training to be Huntsmen. Everything is not going to go how we plan it. No matter what, we must also think level headed and think more about the people. You both sitting arguing about this subject in the open is going to make nerves on high, especially with relations with Faunus. There is a time and place for everything." Blake looked to the ground and nodded knowing he was right, "You guys can finish your little dispute behind closed doors as a team."

Drayce began to walk back to the dorm with everyone trailing behind. Ruby decided to catch up to him to talk to him, "Hey Drayce. I wanted to say thank you for defusing the situation. I really appreciate it."

Drayce smiled at her, "No problem, but as you are the leader you should have been able to do that yourself." Ruby looked up to him, "You're their leader and you have some type of authority of what happens. When your team is in discord it is also your job to gather and put everyone back on the same level."

Ruby looked at him and through the rest of the walk thought about what he said.

As if it would seem like they were a cat and a dog, Blake and Weiss were back to arguing and this time without Drayce to stop them.

"I don't know why this is causing such a problem," Weiss said.

"That is the problem," Blake retorted as Weiss stood up from her bed.

"You do realize that you're defending an organization that hates humanity. The faunus of the white fang are pure evil."

"There's no such thing as pure evil!" Blake then stood abruptly from her bed, "Why do you think they hate humanity so much? It's because people like how Cardin used to be, people like you! That forces the White Fang to take such drastic measures!"

"People like me?!"

"You're discriminatory!"

"I'm a victim!" Weiss yelled, stomping her feet. "You want to know why I despise the White Fang. Why I don't particularly trust the faunus," Weiss then moved to the windowsill in their room, "It's because they have been at war with my family for years. War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted on its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child I've watched family and friends disappear, board members executed, an entire train cart of dust stolen. Everyday my father would come home furious and that made for a very difficult childhood," she said as she slammed her fist on the dresser.

Ruby hearing this began to recount some of the things that Drayce has told her about.

Flashback

Ruby's POV

It was a long day at signal, a lot of school work, practicing with Qrow, doing homework, and now I'm just worn out. So I decided to effortlessly (at least I'd like to believe) snuck out some cookies from the cookie jar and went to my room with my semblance. After I crash on the bed, from the corner of my eyes I see a little flash and there was Shade, Drayce's most trusted dog and companion.

I went over to him and started petting him, "Hey Shade, have you been a good boy for Drayce?" The dog smiled and even nodded, "Good boy, what do you have for me?"

Shade turned to his side and revealed a book on his back, to which I took and opened.' Hey Ruby. I hope you've been well. I know that you got out of school around this time and wanted to know what's up.'

After Drayce and I wrote to each other for minutes, Drayce told me that he had to go to a meeting with his father in a second.

I decided to ask what it was about, to which he responded, 'It's about the faunus. And we are supposed to converse with the other countries about ways that they can make the faunus more equal.'

I wrote back, 'So what do you think about the situation?' I then sent Shade on his way and he didn't come back until after 10 minutes.

I took the book and read Drayce's response, 'Personally I think it's dumb especially for the case of the schnees vs the faunus. While yes, since the White Fang had become much more violent, the Schnee Dust Company has taken a hit. With many things happening to its workers and the schnee family in general.

However, the Schnee Dust Company, specifically Jacques Schnee, has made life harder for the faunus with how he treats them as workers, and them having to work horrible conditions in dust mines resulting in people losing precious people. They are both at fault and until they learn to resolve this without fighting or taking it only going to get worse. In this situation they both have suffered a lot.'

Flashback end

"Weiss, I understand that you've lost a lot but-" Ruby tried to reason with her but Weiss didn't listen.

"No!" Weiss then walked to Blake, "You want to know why I despise the White Fang. It's because they are a bunch of liars, thieves, and murders!"

"Well maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!" Blake yelled in retort, however instantly regretted it as she let out her secret to everyone. Weiss stepped back in shock as she could not believe what she heard. Yang who was in the chair the whole time listening was also shocked just like her sister. Blake looked around the room seeing the shocked faces of everyone and thinking the worst, "I…" Blake looked to the open door and then looked back at everyone.

Ruby had seen what Blake was looking at and looked at Blake, not daring to move. Blake then dashed to the door, however with Ruby's speed she caught up to her and closed the door before she could leave. "Blake-"

"Ruby p-please let me go," Ruby looked at Blake to her tears about to fall. Ruby let her head down with her bangs shadowing her eyes.

Weiss then pulled out her weapon in a ready motion, "You're not going anywhere until we get the headmaster and police in here. With how defensive you were of your group, I should have known you were one of them."

Blake was shaking and Yang saw this and decided to step in, "Wait hold on Weiss, we don't know if she is with them or not. Let's not jump to conclusions."

"Then answer this to me, Yang. If she is innocent then why would she try to run. The innocent never run," Weiss said, "So are you going to help me or-"

"Weiss drop your weapon." Everyone looked at Ruby.

"Excuse me!"

Ruby looked up to Weiss to reveal a dead serious look, "Put your weapon down now."

"You're siding with her. She's a part of the White Fa-"

"Weiss, I am your leader and I said put it down." Weiss was very unnerved by this. Ruby has never been like this, and even Yang was concerned. With that Weiss obeyed and put away her weapon. "We are a team, and thus we will deal with this as a team in an organized manner." Ruby looked up to Blake as her expression softened, "Blake would you please sit down and answer a couple of questions," Ruby then stepped away from the door and opened it, "or would you rather leave?"

Blake looked at Ruby surprised and shocked that Ruby was giving her a choice of talking it out or running. "Why?" She asked.

"I am your team leader but I am no dictator. If you feel as though you don't want to talk about a little of your past then you can leave and we'll look for you tomorrow." Blake thought and weighed her options and decided to stay and walked to her bed and sat as Ruby closed the door and sat next to her. "Drayce once told me of a meeting that he had to attend with the topic of the faunus. He said that in the Schnee family's case, they lost family and other friends due to this conflict with the faunus." Blake looked down at this, "However, Weiss you need to understand that not all faunus are bad. You can not call a whole race bad because of one bad apple. They are suffering just as much. Do you not think of the faunus' lives lost because of working in bad conditions in dust mines?"

Weiss thought about it for a second to find that her leader was correct, but there was still one thing that was bothering her, "But she is a part of the faunus that does hurt people."

"Are you sure that she is one of them?" Yang questioned, "Besides what she just said which is vague as it is. Do you have any other evidence?"

Weiss thought and then shook her head, "Then let's ask her," Ruby said and looked at Blake, "Blake are you a part of the White Fang?"

Blake shook her head, "No, I used to be a part of the White Fang when it was more peaceful, but slowly because of new management, the White Fang got more violent. With peaceful protests becoming raids on other places. I'd like to think that the White Fang wouldn't do the things that are said on the news but I have no way to confirm it."

"Then why don't we go find out?" They all looked to the door to find team RRZA there with Argus holding a blonde monkey faunus with a white open shirt and blue pants. "We also found this one here listening in."

The guy rubbed his head nervously, "Hello the name is Sun Wukong what's up?"

Everyone looked at the guy and face palmed.

"What do you mean find out?" Blake asked.

"We mean if they would do the things that are said on the news, then we catch them in the act," Zyaire clarified.

"So what would be the most logical place they would hit?" Yang asked.

They thought for a second and that's when Weiss sighed, "There is a Schnee Company shipment of dust supposed to make its way here tomorrow night. We can most likely catch them there."

"Woohoo way to go Weiss," Ruby said.

"I believe that will work just fine," Rainier said.

Weiss looked to Blake and bowed, "I also apologize for the way I acted to you. It was rude, untruthful, and something I am ashamed of."

Blake smiled, "Thank you Weiss, it really means a lot to me."

Weiss smiled back slightly then turned to Sun, "I'm still not sure how I feel about you."

"Alright," Drayce began, "We'll start by searching around town for clues of any kind then meet at the docks agreed?"

Everyone nodded, "Alright then let's get some sleep because I'm exhausted," Ruby plopped onto her bed and muttered, "Being a leader is hard and tiring," making everyone laugh.

In the morning teams RWBY, RRZA, and Sun decided to split up with Ruby and Drayce one team, Yang, Weiss, Rainier, and Argus one team, and then finally Blake, Sun, and Zyaire.

As Drayce and Ruby were walking, Drayce decided to strike up a conversation, "So you went off last night. Surprised even me."

Ruby blushed slightly, "Sorry, did I wake you guys up?"

"Actually no, we were already up and we're waiting to intervene, but it seems I was wrong and you had it covered."

Ruby looked at her hands, "I don't know, but something just snapped and I felt it was something that needed to be said. It's never happened before but it was like something was leading me." Ruby then shook her head, "Never mind, I must sound crazy."

Drayce laughed, "You're talking to the person with the weird dreams every night."

Ruby giggled slightly, "Then that just makes us a pair of weird leaders."

Drayce smiled at her, with Ruby doing the same. The moment; however, was interrupted by a ginger haired, freckled girl, "I think you two will be great leaders for your team."

Both Drayce and Ruby jumped at this and both yelled, "Penny!"

She waved, "Salutations friends. Isn't this a very great day."

Drayce held his chest as if his heart was going to jump out of his chest, "Penny how long have you been there."

"Exactly 2 minutes and 46 seconds."

Drayce and Ruby sighed, "Penny, what are you doing here?" Ruby asked.

"I was taking a stroll around, so that I got acquainted with the area. What about you?"

"Well…"

"We are investigating the White Fang," Drayce said casually as Ruby hit him on the arm to which he rubbed it.

"Oh is it for your father, Drayce?"

"Actually we are doing it for my teammate Blake," Ruby explained.

"Oh you mean the faunus girl?"

Drayce nodded, "Exactly."

"Wait it sounds like you already knew this before my team," Ruby said

"Because we did," Drayce started, "Her bow does twitch from time to time. Plus she likes a lot of fish."

Ruby felt dumbfounded and stomped off with a pout muttering things about someone who knew too much stuff.

Blake, Sun, and Zyaire were the first at the dock and were hiding as the Schnee Company headed out as their business there was done. Sun then just arrived back from getting some food, "Did I miss anything?"

"They all just unloaded all the crates now they're just sitting there," Blake responded.

"Cool," Sun then took out an apple for Blake and Zyaire, "I stole you guys some food."

"Do you always break the law without a second thought?" Blake asked.

"Hey weren't you in a cult or something?"

Blake then glared at Sun, making Zyaire wince, "Ooh too soon man, but I'll take one," to which Sun handed him an apple. After a few seconds an aircraft from above passed them and touched down on the docks. Out of it came multiple White Fang members, confirming Blake's worst fears have come true. "There they are," Zyaire said.

"That's them?" Sun asked.

"Yes it's them," Blake confirmed.

"You really didn't think that they were behind it did you?"

"No," she responded, "Deep down I think I knew all along but just didn't want to admit it or be right."

"Hey! What's the hold up!" This voice alarmed both Blake and Zyaire as they saw a human or more specifically Roman Torchwick as he started stepping off the air ship. "Look, we aren't the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves here. So why don't you animals start picking up the pace."

Blake watched from her hiding place in disgust, "Something's not right." Blake began to stand and took out the katana of her weapon, "The White Fang would never work with a human, especially one like that."

Immediately she jumped down, "Blake, wait!" Zyaire called out but his cry fell on deaf ears. Zyaire groaned, "This is not how I pictured my Saturday to go."

Blake started running to Roman as she snuck behind crates and through the guards, in order to approach Torchwick from behind to take him off guard. At the most opportune time, she grabbed Torchwick and held him hostage with her blade to his neck. "Oh for fu-"

"Nobody moves!" She cut him off as she yelled at the White Fang.

Back with Zyaire and Sun, they watched the whole thing as the rest of their team arrived, "What's going on?" Yang asked.

"Your teammate decided to get up close and personal with the Fang," Sun told them.

Ruby looked on to see the person that she, not too long ago, confronted. "What is Roman Torchwick doing here?"

Meanwhile with Blake she decided to undo her bow and present her faunus trait to everyone, "Brothers of the White Fang, why are you aiding this scum?"

After seeing the assailant be a faunus as well, most of the members started to feel uneasy about all of this. That is until Torchwick chuckled, "Oh didn't you get the memo. The Fang and I are going in on a joint business operation."

"Tell me what it is or I'll put a stop to your little operation."

As if on cue multiple airships came into view as Torchwick replied, "I wouldn't call it a little operation." Torchwick, seeing Blake distracted, shot his cane at the ground and blew up the ground beneath her, sending her flying.

"Blake!" The rest of team RWBY called out.

Torchwick turned to the voices to see the rest of Blake's little entourage. "Well hello Red. Isn't past your bedtime?"

Penny looked on and asked, "Who are these people Ruby?"

Ruby looked away from Torchwick, "Penny get back."

The criminal mastermind decided to take advantage of this to shoot her; however he didn't count on Drayce to cut right through his shot, however this weapon was different from the ones he has shown previously. In short terms it was a nodachi with the blade itself being longer than 90% of this body. The blade in contrast to his katana was white and the hand was wrapped with a black wrapping. The last significant feature was a blue streak running down the blade. "Ruby, don't turn your back to the enemy."

Torchwick looked towards the young man and understood who he was, "Well, if it isn't the crown prince of Arlyn," he smirked in a mock bow, "What an honor."

"Spare me your taunts. I'm not going to fall for them as easily. I don't have time to be talking to you when there are airships to be taken care of," Drayce said coldly, making Yang, Ruby, and Weiss shudder. Drayce then addressed his friends, "I'll take care of the ships you guys get the people on the ground."

"I don't think so, your highness," Roman said. Drayce sensed someone coming to his right but before he could act Argus swung his Nodachi directly in front of Drayce. In the ears of everyone was a shattering sound as a girl appeared next to Roman. She had mismatched colored hair and eyes with the colors being pink and brown. She wore a white cropped long sleeve jacket with pink being on the collar and on the wrist. She also rocked underneath a grey leotard, black pants, and white boots that came to her calves. The most interesting thing about the heterochromia was that she was so short.

"Sorry but if you want to get to him, you have to get through me," Argus said, placing his sword on his shoulder.

"That can be arranged Neo if you would," Roman said. With that Neo bowed and then shattered. Without missing a beat Argus blocked a strike from Neo as he swung his sword at her to which she jumped away to a different roof nearby as they fought.

Drayce took this time and threw his nodachi at a nearby ship for him to be pulled by his semblance and onto the ships. Zyaire and Rainier decided to help contribute by taking out the white fang members on the ground along with the rest of team RWBY and Penny.

Sun decided to attack Roman as he brought out his nunchucks, Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang as he put them together to create a staff. With that he and Roman began to exchange blows with each other. Roman after the exchanges decided to put some distance in between them as he redirected Sun's attack and shot at the ground beneath him. Sun dodged it; however a second blast came his way to which he spun his staff to block.

Blake decided to get back into the fight, after she recovered, jumping from behind Sun. "He's mine!" She called out to attack Roman with Gambol Shroud; however with each hit she tried Roman blocked and smacked her away with his fist. With her off balance he hit her in the leg with his cane making her bend and then hit her in the face sending her away.

Sun jumped in to help but separated his Bo staff back to nunchucks as he began to start swinging at Roman. Roman was deflected by the nunchucks as when Sun swung them gunshots began to shoot with each swing with Roman constantly on defense as all he did was dodge and deflect each shot and strike. Roman; however could not block forever as he overextended on defense leaving him open to be slashed by Blake.

Roman however recovered quickly and shot at a storage container above the two, forcing them to separate. Unfortunately, Sun was on the side of Roman himself and now had his cane point to his head. Before Roman could pull the trigger Ruby came from his left and attacked forcing Roman to dodge from being cleaved in half by the red reaper's scythe. "Sorry but I don't think so, Torchwick."

She began to attack him furiously keeping him on guard with him not finding an opening for himself, 'The hell is up with this kid. She wasn't this good two months ago. How did she get stronger so quickly?'

Ruby swung her scythe below to sweep him off his feet only for him to jump over it. Ruby quickly acted while he was in the air and fired Crescent Rose making it swing the other direction making a beeline to Roman. Roman, not wanting to be hit by such a fast attack, thought fast and blasted Ruby away point blank in the chest. Ruby recovered in the air and quickly transformed her scythe to her sniper and shot Torchwick in the chest, sending him back as well.

In the aircraft in the sky Drayce was surrounded by White Fang members. "Surrender filthy humans."

"You're surrounded."

Drayce smirked, "If you feel that I'm some useless prince then you're dumber than you look."

"What was that?!" An officer said, appearing to be angered by the comment.

"Enough talk," Drayce then disappeared and appeared behind him and struck out his sword at him, sending him out the bullhead. One member attacked head on, only to be tripped by Drayce and kicked into another. A bulky looking soldier tried to hammer him with a hammer but Drayce dodged to the right. Another faunus with ram-like horns on his head tried to use a mace but his target ducked and used his sword to sweep him off his feet. Drayce then stabbed towards him, to which the ram faunus rolled out of the way in the last second.

With his sword on the ground, seemingly stuck, the remaining faunus charged him. Drayce smirked as he started to pull the blade in a swing. The blade cut straight into the ships as it came out and struck everyone all in one swing.

Drauce then looked at the driver who was sweating. "I suggest you leave."

The faunus nodded and grabbed a parachute and jumped out the airship. With the ships dispatched, Drayce climbed onto the bullhead and looked towards the next and saw there were 5 more. "I have to do this faster to help the others." He then threw his sword with two hands to another bullhead and teleported on top of it. He saw the ship's wings and thought of an idea. Drayce took a stance similar to the Iaido style and ran to the wing. Once close he unleashed his sword's fury cutting the wing in half and quickly running to the other to do the same.

'One down, four to go.'

With Argus he charged and tried to cut Neo, however with Neo's small and nimble figure she dodged it expertly. Neo immediately went on the attack thinking the sword would be too heavy for him to maneuver. She pulled out the hidden blade from her parasol and went for a stabbing motion, only to be surprised when a blade appeared and blocked her attack. Argus was able to swing his blade to his back to block the attack much quicker than she anticipated. "Come on. You really think that little of me." Argus pulled the sword up and under swinging at her legs only for her to backflip away. "So what's someone like you doing with a criminal like Roman?"

The girl didn't answer. "Hmm not much of a talker are you?" No answer again. Argus felt something wrong and immediately listened to his instincts and leaned back to find Neo now in front of him. She then quickly redirected to Argus' torso only for the blade to be blocked by Argus' Nodachi. "You're sneaky," Neo sent a fake smile his way as she pushed him more to test his strength which he held strong, "And deceptively strong."

Argus lifted his sword up and over to fling Neo's blade off and tried to kick her only for her to jump back and float gracefully back down with her umbrella. "Well I guess you can't talk by not answering me and your fake smile earlier so…" Then the ground under Argus cracked as his aura began to be visible as it was green with slight sparks around him. "What do you say we get serious? I want to get back to my friends quickly so I think I'll show you my semblance since you showed yours."

Neo readied herself until she heard from behind her, "Neo, could use some help here." Neo took her eyes off Argus for a single moment to look at Roman to see he was being double teamed by Rainier and Zyaire. Neo looked back to see that Argus was right in front of her preparing an over strike. Shock entered her system as she quickly used her semblance to escape and make her away from Roman as her heart began to beat faster. She looked to where she was to see a decently sized crater. 'If I was slower that would have done some serious damage.' She thought.

However the relief came short lived as she realized that Argus wasn't there. She looked to her right and there he was running with her and was about to strike again. She dodged instinctively again and began to run to Roman again as Argus chased her to Roman.

Roman was in a major pickle as he was being ganged up on by multiple people. 'Two I can handle,' he thought before looking at Zyaire, Rainier, and Ruby, 'But these two are different from cat girl and monkey boy. And with little red added on. I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I need backup and to get out of here.' His prayers were answered as Neo appeared in between them only for her to quickly jump back to him as a green blur came at her and crashed to where she was. Roman looked at Neo to find her panting which is something he rarely saw and that in itself scared him. 'We need to leave.' Roman reached into his pocket and set a message to his scroll.

There were two ships in the distance that have yet to be destroyed only for a green laser to hit and destroy them. That laser came from Penny Polendina who decided to assist her friend Drayce in destroying the ships. A large blade came down on the field and Drayce appeared to it with Penny not far behind him. Lastly Weiss, Yang, Blake, and Sun joined everyone as well, "This is the end of the line Roman. You're outnumbered and outgunned," Drayce began.

"Just come with us quietly. Please." Ruby asked.

Roman looked at their numbers and then at Neo still trying to regain her breath. 'Yep. I'll call it a night.' Roman walked a bit forward, "I'm thoroughly impressed, I didn't think you bunch would be this much trouble. But it doesn't matter. I believe this is where we part ways." Neo besides him bowed in a mock. In an instant Argus was in front of them struck down at them for them to shatter and to hear a bullhead taking off. "We'll see you all another time! Until then I bid you all adew!"

Neo put her parasol on her shoulders and winked at Argus as the aircraft flew away. Drayce sighed, "Well this was an eventful evening."

"You could say that again," Sun said.

"Um big guy, why are you glowing," Yang asked.

Argus realized he still had his semblance active and deactivated it. "Oh that was my semblance."

"What is it?" Weiss asked.

"Yeah you were so fast a moment ago," Ruby said.

"Well it's similar to Yang in a way. It's called Aura Overcharge. Pretty self-explanatory. I can overcharge what aura can do, making me faster, stronger, and more durable; however it's for a limited time and once it's gone, I'm worse than how I started."

"So it's like a last resort. And if you activate it, you have to end the fight quickly."

Argus nodded, "Another downside is that it eats away at my aura quickly. So I have to pick and choose when to use it and I can't use it in bursts either."

"Anyway," Drayce took everyone's attention, "Blake?"

Blake nodded and looked at everyone, "I am deeply sorry about how things turned out. I shouldn't have acted on my own. I truly thought that the White Fang would never do this but I was wrong and got angry at Weiss because of it," she bowed her head, "I'm sor-"

"I don't want to hear it." Everyone looked surprised at the outburst from Weiss, "Blake this isn't just you. I'm also to blame for my treatment towards you and not seeing the big picture. Besides, you know what they do is wrong, and you're not one of them anymore so I don't care. But it goes without saying that I do want your trust. So before you think about running off again, promise me you will consult us first."

Blake smiled, "I promise."

Ruby smiled and yelled, "Yay team RWBY is back together." Ruby then realized one thing, "Where's Penny?"

"She left shortly after Roman." Drayce sighed, "Great, let's get back to the dorm so I can sleep." Before he even took a step however, sirens were heard as the police came to the scene. Drayce knew what this meant and it made everyone else laugh and chuckle at his expense. "Oum Dammit."
