Sorry for the long wait everyone! I hope this chapter makes up for it :)
Without further ado, let this chapter begin!
"So why aren't you bailing on the triple date? I thought your best friend was 'understanding.'" Aaron remarked and was in Rosie's room. He was on Rosie's bed while Rosie sat on the floor, Aaron was trying to put his hair in a braided bun.
Rosie pouted and crossed her arms, "Because Ryan blackmailed me but I'll remember that when he tries to ask me for another favor."
Aaron chuckled and finished the bun by putting a few bobby pins in her hair. For a moment, Aaron stared at the visible scar at the back of Rosie's neck. He wants to ask Rosie where the scar came from but now wasn't a good time to ask.
He grabbed the hand mirror and gave it to Rosie. "Well, what do you think?" Aaron asked and Rosie used the mirror to looked at her hair.
She was amazed to see how well done her hair was. It continues to stun Rosie to see how amazing Aaron was. "It's perfect...how do you know how to do this?" Rosie asked and Aaron got up from her bed.
For a moment, Aaron didn't want to reply but thought Rosie should know.
"I have a little sister so I did get some experience with doing hair." Aaron smiled and Rosie put her shoes on. They made eye contact and Rosie smiled, "You have a little sister? That's so cute! How old is she? What's her name? Do you have any pictures of you on your phone? Why didn't you tell me you have a sister?"
Aaron was dumbfounded by the questions that Rosie kept asking by the second. For a second, Rosie reminds him of Izuku from the anime that they're watching at the anime club. It was adorable to see how easily excited Rosie gets with anything.
Before Aaron could answer any of Rosie's questions, they heard the doorbell ring. Rosie made a face and crossed her arms, "Great...my date's here."
Aaron and Rosie walked out of her room and made their way down the stairs. They noticed a cowering boy at the doorway when Six was glaring at him. Rosie recognized the boy as Nathan, the quarter back at Ryan's football team. Nathan was rude and so full of himself, without a doubt Suzie knew that.
"So you're here to take my only daughter out on a date? Why should I let you take her?" Six glared and Nathan silently gulped as he looked pale. Rosie grinned slightly and waited for Nathan to run away but noticed Ryan hurrying to the front door.
He grabbed Nathan's shoulder and pulled him back. Ryan sheepishly smiled, "Don't worry sir. We'll make sure to bring Rosie back home before curfew."
Rebecca went to Six and hugged his arm as she looked at Rosie. "Make sure to be careful but have fun. We trust that you'll be responsible tonight."
Rosie smiled and promised, "Oh I will."
Ryan guide them out and Rosie made a face at her parents that indicate that she didn't want to go. However, Rosie kept her mouth shut and got into the van with her date and friends. Looking the window, Rosie waved goodbye to Aaron and her parents when the van began to drive away.
"Permission to leave for the night?" Aaron asked Rebecca and Six.
"Of course you can go. Why don't you go visit your sister until Rosie gets back?" Rebecca suggested and went to the kitchen to make dinner. When they were sure that they left, Aaron looked at Six and asked, "Permission to spy on them?"
"Permission granted. Make sure Rosie isn't being harassed." Six sternly told him and Aaron hurried out of the front door.
The date night was a night club that belong to Suzie's father. He allowed there to be a night every week for the teens to come over to his club. Only if they have someone over twenty one with them. Since Suzie is with the gang, they would be the exception.
"Thanks for inviting us here babe." Ryan said as he kissed her cheek softly.
"No prob Ryan. Now go have fun! Come on, let's go to the dance floor!" Suzie exclaimed and dragged Ryan with her to the center of the dance floor. Emily held her boyfriend's hand and they followed them afterwards.
Nathan grinned and tried to wrap an arm around Rosie's waist but she gave him a dark glare. Causing him to shutter and kept his distance, they didn't bother to make the first move.
Nathan asked, "So you have a boyfriend?"
"No." Rosie simply said and Nathan added, "Do you want one?"
"No."
"Have you ever been in relationship before?"
"No."
"Have you ever been kissed before?"
"...No."
"Do you want to?" Nathan remarked before Rosie glared at him and lied, "I'm going to the bathroom."
"Oh, you're freshening up for me?" Nathan smirked and Rosie walked away to go straight to the girl's bathroom. The moment that Rosie saw a group of ladies at the bathroom, she slowly smiled.
"Excuse me ladies, can I ask you all for a tiny favor?" Rosie smiled and approached them.
The group of ladies were happily chatting with each other while they exit the club's front door. They stepped away from each other to reveal Rosie was in the middle of them. "Thanks again ladies." Rosie gratefully said causing one of the woman to reply, "Anytime sweetheart! Remember, stay with a group if you ever feel uncomfortable!"
"Do you need a ride home?" Another woman asked and Rosie looked at the time on her phone. It was still early and she wondered if she should head home right now.
They heard Aaron said, "Not to worry ladies. I'm taking her home."
Rosie looked surprised and said, "What are you doing here?"
Aaron walked towards her and admitted, "Your dad told me to watch over you. I can see the date didn't go well."
Rosie nodded and looked at the women, "Thanks again. Don't worry about me. I know this guy."
"Okay, bye Rosie!" The group waved as Rosie and Aaron walked away. Rosie sigh sadly when she zipped up her jacket. Aaron glanced at her and decides to make things fun. He grabbed her hand and walked ahead.
"Where are we going?" Rosie asked and Aaron smiled, "You'll see. The night is still young."
Rosie didn't say anything and held Aaron's hand as they walked. They went to a small parking lot where the car was waiting for them. Aaron unlocked the car and went to open the passenger's door for Rosie.
"Thanks." Rosie softly said and got on the seat and put her seat belt on. Aaron closed the door and hurried to the driver's seat. "You'll love where we're going." Aaron promised and put the keys in the ignition.
"Woah! There's so many rides here." Rosie whispered and looked around at the small amusement park at the pier. They made it to the pier in half an hour and Aaron wanted to have some fun before they had to go back home. He smiled when Rosie stared at all the rides.
Aaron asked, "So, which one do you want to go on first? I already got our tickets ready."
Rosie looked at the large Ferris Wheel and pointed, "What about that ride? We can relax and talk for a while."
The duo made their way to the line and wait for their turn. When Rosie turned to look at the other rides, Aaron stared at the scar at the back of her neck. It bother him anytime Aaron would see the scar. The scar was a straight line that spread across Rosie's neck as if it someone cut the back of her neck with a sharp weapon. He nudge Rosie forward when the line shorten.
They were lucky enough to have the cart to themselves. It was a perfect moment for them to talk alone. Rosie put the seat belt on and looked at Aaron as he sat across from her.
"I hadn't been on a Ferris Wheel for about two years now." Rosie said.
"Really? Its been a year for me." Aaron admitted and lean back against his seat. Rosie smiled and said, "Oh? Was the last time you went on a Ferris Wheel was with your little sister?"
Aaron faintly smiled and pulled out his phone to show the home screen. He turned it to make Rosie see what was on his home screen. Rosie noticed it was a picture of Aaron with a little girl who looked like she could around five or six years old. They have matching teal eyes but Aaron has black hair while the little girl has brown. Rosie stared, "She's adorable. What's her name?"
"Her name is Aurora. My aunt and I sometimes call her Aura for short." Aaron admitted and put his phone away. "Do you have any other siblings?" Rosie question but stopped when she noticed Aaron's eyes became cold. She decides not to step over anymore boundaries and whispered, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
Their cart made it to the top and they remained silent. Rosie glanced on away as she feared that Aaron might hate her for asking personal questions. However, he caught her by surprised when he asked, "If you don't want to answer my question, then I understand. I kind of want to know how you got that scar on the back of your neck."
Without thinking, Rosie tenderly touch the back of her neck and was in deep thought. She was trying to remember what exactly happened years ago but everything remained foggy. She shrugged, "I...I can't remember. Its like my mind wants to erase what happened. Although I feel like it might have been from an attack from one of my dad's enemies. Its the only logical conclusion to this."
"So you know about your dad having enemies huh?" Aaron said and crossed his arms.
Rosie looked at Aaron and whispered, "When your dad is the sixth dangerous man on the planet...and is the top agent of Providence...you don't think he'll have enemies from around every corner?"
Aaron slowly mumbled, "It doesn't help that he has a family, huh?"
"Yeah..." Rosie sigh but brighten up slightly as she added, "But the least I can do is make his life a lot easier! I train my hardest so I can defend myself. Plus mom and I make him happy."
Seeing Rosie's face lighting up with joy made Aaron's heart melt. However, he did noticed there was an internal conflict in Rosie's eyes. Like she was stuck in a battle with herself and Aaron wants to know what's on her mind. When the cart stopped, Aaron and Rosie exit the ride, he looked at her and asked, "Do you want a candle apple?"
Rosie giggled quietly, "How did you know that was my favorite?"
"One time, your dad bought a candy apple from a store when we finished a small mission. I didn't need to know that he probably got that for his daughter. He did mention that candy apple was your favorite sweet treat. Either that or cheesecake." Aaron grinned when Rosie looked embarrassed. "Well they're my favorite desserts. What did you expect?"
For the rest of the night, they went to either rides or walk around the pier to continue talking about anything. While Rosie ate a candy apple, she said, "You know...why don't we try training together after school to improve our skills? You did mention you want to try to work on your defense. And I need help with packing more weight in my attacks."
Aaron finished his cotton candy and thought about it. "I guess we could...but you don't have to keep training. There's nothing to prepare ourselves for. Its like how it was back then where EVOs kept coming out of nowhere."
Rosie stopped walking an bit her lip nervously. Even though they didn't had nothing to worry about now. But she can't help but have this strange feeling in her stomach. Something was telling her to prepare for something, Rosie wasn't sure what that was yet. Only time will tell...
Back at Rosie's bedroom, she was looking through the flash drive again. Spending that time with Aaron did help clear her mind. At the back of her head, Rosie wondered if she'll open the file this time.
When Rosie typed a few more codes in, she stared at the password that appeared on her screen.
NEW NANITE PROJECT
"I...I did it Gizmo!" Rosie quietly cheered causing Gizmo to yawned and curled back up to go back to sleep. She gave him some scratches behind his ear and giggled, "Sorry buddy. I'll leave you alone now."
Rosie looked at the time at the corner of her laptop screen and noticed she had a few minutes before bed time. She has access to whatever is in the flash drive. Maybe with whatever Rosie finds might help Ava and Breach.
"Alright. Let's get to work." Rosie whispered while she cracked her knuckles.
That's it for chapter 13! The next chapter will be intense for little Rosie...I'm so awful to her Dx
For the last review YellowAngela, I'm glad you like the character growth. A little training might help them later on. And Rosie is Six's only daughter, so that's why he act that way in the last chapter. Lol :)
