Without further ado, let chapter 19 begin!

"On a scale from 1 to 10, how much work do you I'll have from school. One being not much, ten being too much work that I will have a major headache later." Rosie asked Aaron as they were cleaning the table. Aaron had a slight grin on his face and admitted, "It's a solid ten for sure."

Rosie resist the urge to slam her head against the wall. She was returning back to school and Rosie knew she missed a LOT of work. So Rosie was prepared fro the unexpected.

Rosie felt someone tug on her pants and she looked down to see it was Ava. Ava looked at her as she held her blanket tightly and whispered, "You're leaving?"

"Yes I am. Don't worry, my parents are working from home today. So you won't be at the base." Rosie softly said and picked up the little girl. Ava immediately cuddle closer in her arms and lay her head on Rosie's shoulder. Aaron motioned for Rosie to follow him outside as the bus was almost approaching the street.

Rosie sigh quietly before she went to the living room.

Ava was placed on the couch right beside Rebecca. "I'm heading to school now mom."

"Have fun at school today sweetie." Rebecca smiled and let Ava grabbed the flashcards on her lap. The flashcards had the letters on the alphabet with a picture in them. Ava guessed that she's going to learn her ABC's with Rebecca.

"Rosie, we've got to go now!" Aaron yelled from outside the front door.

Rosie hugged Ava tightly and kissed her forehead, "I'll be back soon. Be good to my parents while I'm gone."

Rosie said goodbye to her parents before she hurried out through the front door. Aaron was already waiting at the bus stop and Rosie ran to him. She glanced back at her house and noticed Ava and Gizmo looking out of the window.

She felt like an arrow just went through her heart, Rosie pulled out her phone and took a picture of them. "They're so cute..." Rosie whispered and Aaron pulled her into the bus. Aaron mumbled, "We need to go now. Otherwise you're going to turn back around and head straight home."

It was now lunch time at the high school, Aaron had two trays of food in his hands and started to look around for Rosie. He spotted Rosie at an empty lunch table by herself. Rosie was busy trying to get a head start on her school work and she quietly mumbled endlessly to herself.

"Okay so if I finished my math worksheets before lunch ends then I can focus on English and History. At the night, I might work on my science assignments tonight. Although I shouldn't overdue it today." Rosie quietly said to herself and flipped to the next page of her worksheets.

For a moment, Rosie reminds Aaron of Izuku from the anime that they were watching. The way that they talked when they are over analyzing something was very similar.

Aaron sat down beside Rosie and watched her continue to write down the answers to the problems. He knew that she wasn't going to eat but Aaron grabbed the spork and got a little bit of the macaroni and cheese.

"Rose, open wide." Aaron said to which Rosie obeyed and opened her mouth. He carefully fed her the food and made sure she was well fed. After Rosie finished with her food and drinking her milk, Aaron decides to eat his food.

Rosie finished her worksheets and sigh in relief, "Thanks Aaron."

"Are you sure you two aren't dating?" They heard Emily asked when she sat in front of the duo. Rosie blushed faintly and said, "No Emily, we're just friends."

Emily smiled softly and shook her head, she thinks that Rosie is in denial. However, Aaron finished eating his food and grabbed the trays, "Do you want anything from the snack shack?"

"I do want a cookie." Rosie admitted causing Aaron to chuckled, "Of course you do. Give me a few minutes. Emily, would you like anything from the snack shack?"

Emily politely declined and made sure Aaron was a good distance away from them.

She noticed Rosie was struggling to focus on her history homework. Rosie's cheeks were bright red and Emily had a feeling what's going on.

"You know Rosie, there's nothing wrong in liking Aaron." Emily calmly said.

Rosie tensed up and glanced at Aaron who was watching her from the snack line. He was watching her like a hawk, the teal eyes were sending shivers down Rosie's spine.

"Its not that I don't like him, right now is not a good time for me to be in a relationship. My parents are being foster parents to a little girl until we find her a good home." Rosie lied at the last part.

Emily looked excited and said, "A little girl? Rosie, this could be your chance at having a little sister! I'm happy for you."

Rosie chuckled, "Come on Emi, this is a temporary thing. We're taking care of her until we find a permanent home and family. Don't get your hopes up about this."

Although Rosie does want Ava to be a part of her family, she needs to focus on helping Ava. The little girl still hasn't act like a normal little girl. Rosie can tell that the fear that Ava has for Zane is still lingering around her. She's hoping with a little more time, Ava won't be afraid anymore and might have a better control of her powers.

Speaking of Ava, Rosie wonders how the little girl is doing right now with her parents.

Ava looked through some storage containers in the attic and noticed a worn out stuff bunny. She grabbed the bunny and hugged it tightly. Ava slowly walked to Rebecca while she was looking through some of the containers for more clothes.

"What's this?" Ava whispered causing Rebecca to look down at her.

Rebecca immediately smiled when she saw the stuff bunny and said, "I don't believe it. That's Bun Bun. He used to be Rosie's favorite toy when she was little."

Ava held Bun Bun and whispered, "Can I keep Bun Bun?"

"Of course you can. I'm sure Rosie will let you keep him. But I do need to wash him right now." Rebecca admitted and held her hand out for the bunny. Ava obeyed and gave Rebecca the toy.

They left the attic and Ava hurried to the living room. She peeked out of the window, Rosie still wasn't back and Ava began to pout. It was obvious that Ava miss Rosie, she was waiting for her to come home.

"She has three more classes left until school's over." Ava heard Six said causing her to jump. She looked up at the serious man and stayed quiet. Six knew that Ava was uncomfortable and decides to keep his distance.

"It should be lunch time, do you want me to call Rosie?" Six suggested.

Ava nodded eagerly and hurried to Six as she held her little arms up. Six picked her up and carried her to the home phone. Six called Rosie and handed the phone to Ava.

"Hello?" Rosie asked and Ava looked delighted, "Rosie?"

"Hi sweetie! How are you doing?" Rosie happily asked.

Ava smiled slightly and held the phone tightly, "I'm good...I learned my ABC's."

Ava kept telling Rosie what else she did and it was adorable to hear her try to pronounce some words. Six didn't hear Rosie on the other end and he assumed that she was listening to everything that Ava said.

After Ava spend the next few minutes talking on the phone, Rosie slowly interrupted, "I'm glad you're having fun Ava. The lunch bell ring, I need to go but I promise to come home soon. Okay?"

Ava pouted and held the phone tightly against her ear, "Okay..."

"Don't worry, I'll be back with Aaron. Maybe we can play once we get home? I gotta go. Bye." Rosie softly said and hung up the phone. Ava looked at the phone and back at Six, "Its going beep beep."

"That means Rosie hung up. She's going back to her classes." Six explained while Ava started to play with Six's tie.

Knowing that Ava wasn't paying attention to what he said, Six decides to take her back to Rebecca.

The bus stopped at Rosie's street, Aaron and Rosie immediately got off the vehicle. They began to walked to the house and Rosie winced, "I didn't expect for Couch to bring in the Seniors for the dodge ball game. I'm going to be sore for the whole day."

Aaron chuckled, "But you showed those Senior who was boss."

Rosie smiled and moved her hair back, "Well you did help me during the match."

"We do work well as a team." Aaron admitted causing Rosie to smiled even more. When Aaron opened the front door, Ava ran to Rosie. Rosie was caught off guard when Ava hugged her leg tightly. "Hey Ava, did you have a fun day?"

Ava reached for Rosie and said, "I know my ABC's! And I watched a movie about four kids! Their mommies and daddies are bad people but the kids are going to a school for nice kids."

"Are you talking about the movie Descendants?" Rosie asked.

Aaron frowned and raised an eyebrow, "How do you know about that movie?"

Rosie carried Ava inside and admitted, "I love to watch Disney movies. At least I have an excuse to watch them now."

Aaron shook his head before he closed the front door. He went straight upstairs to his room while Rosie was in the living room with her parents. Ava was sitting down on a small bean bag chair and looked at some DVD cases for the next movie she should watched. Rosie was sitting on the couch with her parents and they were talking.

"How's Ava doing while I was gone?" Rosie asked.

Rebecca smiled, "She's learning things fairly quick. I'm trying to teach her how to read and write."

It made Rosie feel happy that Ava was adjusting to the new changes quickly. She guessed that it won't take long for Ava to learn how to use her powers. However, Rosie wasn't sure what will happen to Ava once she's ready to find a family.

"Has her powers came out unexpectedly?" Rosie said and Rebecca shook her head.

"For the most part, the nanites inside of her are deactivated. I feel like her emotions might be the cause of this." Rebecca guessed.

Ava walked to Rosie and held up a DVD case.

Frozen

Rosie had a smug looked on her face when she turned to face her father.

"Hey, I thought you threw this away." Rosie commented and Six simply said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I found this in a box! There was more movies!" Ava said.

Rosie grinned in victory and said, "I knew it! You didn't have the heart to throw away my Disney movies!"

That's it for Chapter 19! This is a calm chapter and it was a fun to write. There will more interesting things happening later on. No worries, it will come but we must be patient :)

Thank you for reviewing the last chapter YellowAngela. Its true that Rosie is just a kid but she acts like a little mom to sweet Ava :3 Ava deserves the world :) I'm trying to make things realistic for Rosie so she will have some fears along the way. I really like writing about Rafael and Violeta. I have a feeling that Rex would name his kids after his parents :) I really appreciate your patience, it means a lot to me:)

Chapter 20 might come in next week and I will try to do a head start with it tomorrow. Depending on how far I get with it, maybe the chapter will be release earlier. Until then, I will see you guys later. Good night and stay safe out there:)
