Without further ado, let the chapter begin!

"So how are things going in your end mi hermosa rosa?" Aaron asked as he was face timing with Rosie. He was at another Providence base for some extra training. After Aaron help his family adjust to the move, he decides to spend time with them before he went back to training with Providence for a month. It was nice for him to spend some time with his little sister.

However, Aaron notices Rosie was acting a little strange anytime he would call her.

"I'm okay...its been two weeks since I lost Gizmo..." Rosie whispered faintly and hugged her pillow tightly.

From what Rosie told Aaron is that Gizmo passed away in his sleep and he guessed it might have been because of old age. Gizmo was a few years when he met Rosie years ago. So it was obviously the beloved canine's time to go. Aaron still remembers when Rosie called him that day, he couldn't get her to stop crying and she fell asleep during their call. There were times he wishes that he would returned, but Aaron had to train himself even harder than before.

"He's in a better place now Rosie, at least he died knowing what it was like to be loved. You did everything you could and that's what made you special." Aaron gently said as he watched Rosie carefully.

She seems to be zoning out a lot lately and kept touching the necklace Aaron gave her before he left.

Rosie smiled sadly, "I suppose that's true...Aaron? Are you coming back tomorrow?"

"I wish I could Rose but I'm not finish with my training yet. I might be back in September." Aaron admitted while Rosie felt crushed. She quickly masked her disappointment by putting on a brave face. Rosie smiled brightly and cheerfully said, "That's great! I really missed you Aaron. We'll have a great Senior year! Believe it!"

Aaron knew Rosie was lying to herself but he decides to cheer her up before he hangs up.

"I believe it. Gotta go, I love you." Aaron said causing Rosie to immediately reply, "I love you too."

Aaron grinned when he noticed Rosie realized what just happened and she turned bright red.

"W-Waitwaitwait! Did you really meant that or did you say that to get me to blush!?" Rosie frantically said while her cheeks were pink.

Aaron shrugged and winked causing Rosie to squeaked. She frantically tried to end the call and finally pressed the end button on her laptop. It was obvious that Aaron and Rosie likes each other, but they were stubborn to do anything about it yet.

Aaron closed his laptop and set it in his bag, he pulled out a few files and said, "Alright, I need to go back to work. Where the hell are you Van Kleiss?"

The first two weeks of school went by quick for Rosie. She's focused on finishing her classes for Senior year and started to look for suitable colleges to attend. So far things hasn't gone that well for her.

Rosie can't decide whether to stay for the first two years to go to community college. Or spend four years in dorm at a state college.

It was a difficult decision for Rosie since she doesn't know what she exactly wanted to do for her future.

"Hey Rosie! Can you help me move some boxes?" Lucia smiled while she moved some things around the lab.

They were at Providence base to work on some important projects. Six and Rex were on a mission while Rebecca was in her lab working on some nanite research. Caesar and Julio were working on some inventions in the other lab.

Lucia was trying to organize some supplies for the laboratories and let Rosie tagged along.

She knew that Rosie would feel left out and decides to keep an eye on her.

"Sure." Rosie smiled and went to grabbed a small crates filled with glass containers from various sizes and shapes.

The girls carried the boxes down the hallway and Lucia perked up, "Hey Rosie, how's school going along?"

"Its fine." Rosie admitted.

Lucia smiled and said, "Well you are smart just like Aunt Becca. So school should be easy for you. Have you watched more episodes of My Hero Academia?"

Rosie nodded eagerly while they were taking the elevator to the lower levels.

"Who's your favorite characters so far for the Chisaki arch?" Lucia asked while they were waiting in the elevator.

"There's a tie for 1st place, Eri and Fatgum! They are my favorite so far. My second and last choice is Dad 2.0." Rosie replied.

Lucia began to laugh loudly, she looked at Rosie and giggled, "Are you talking about Sir Nighteye?"

"I'm calling him Dad 2.0. They are so much alike. They can kick butt in a suit, they wear glasses, they are serious, and they have the color green on them." Rosie admitted.

The elevator doors open, before the girls walked out, a few metal shards hit the wall beside them. Lucia began to yell, "WHAT DID YOU DO THIS TIME?!"

Julio was ducking behind a few crates with a few scientists while Caesar kept trying to work on repairing the robots that he build. One of the robots was spinning around rapidly while waving its arms frantically. The top of its head was on fire.

Lucia set the boxes down and ran to get the nearest fire extinguisher. Rosie touched her ear piece and said, "Um mom-"

"I know sweetie, we're getting more agents coming down to help. I'm giving your Uncle Caesar will be getting an ear from me once I get my hands on him. Be careful until we get there!" Rebecca sternly told her daughter through the ear piece.

"I'll try-WOAH!" Rosie screeched and ducked from an attack.

Another robot was going rogue and accidentally scanned Rosie as an enemy. She jumped back and started to yell, "Would anyone try telling me what happened?!"

"Julio! Papi! Care to explain?!"Lucia glared at them while she used the extinguisher to put out some fire in the lab.

Julio answered, "I tried to reprogram the robots for dad, it didn't go well!"

"You think?" The girls remarked while Rosie kept ducking some attacks from the robot.

Rosie held an ice pack on her head and was sitting on her bed.

The robot situation was finally done and over with. A few people had minor injuries, Rosie got a concussion, and Lucia gain a few bruises on the arms from getting a beating from the bots.

"Here are the aspirins. How are you feeling?" Rebecca asked in concern while she handed Rosie the pills.

Rosie gratefully took them while she took a few sips of water.

"Besides the fact that things went horribly at base, I guess it went well." Rosie sigh and rubbed her head tenderly.

Rebecca sternly said, "Don't try to lie to me sweetie."

Rosie felt a bit unease but she knew that she wasn't lying about anything. Well...not yet. She set the ice pack down and rubbed her forehead. Not wanting her mother to worry anymore, Rosie admitted, "What happened today is nothing new. But if you want me to spill about what's going on in my head, then I'll tell you. School is awful and I really don't want to go tomorrow."

"Are you still getting picked on?" Rebecca frowned.

Rosie shrink back at her back and hugged her pillow. If Rosie knows anything about her mother is that she's very protective of her. Regardless of how old she is, Rebecca isn't going to stop from being concerned for Rosie's well being.

Rosie hesitated but immediately gave in once Rebecca narrowed her eyes at her.

"Okayokay! I surrender!" Rosie quickly said and peeked over her pillow.

Rebecca soften her tone, "Are you being bullied?"

"Suzie's group of 'friends' have been picking on me since school started. Its nothing new. I can handle it but the thing I don't understand is...why is it hard for me to have any friends? Everyone thinks I'm a bad person or won't give me a chance. I thought maybe I could be friends with Ryan's old friends but they push me aside." Rosie whispered and looked sad.

Rebecca gave her daughter a big hug and said, "Give it some more time sweetie. I know its not easy making friends. When I was your age, the only friends I had was my teachers."

Rosie looked at her, "Really? I thought you were popular at high school."

"Believe me when I tell you this, I wasn't popular. In fact, no one even asked me to prom either." Rebecca admitted causing Rosie to look like she's in disbelief.

'Uncle Rex is right, the pretty girls don't get asked out...I thought that was a myth." Rosie thought.

Rebecca had an idea and got up. She said, "Wait here for a minute. I'll be right back.

Once Rebecca left Rosie's room, Rosie sigh quietly. She looked at frame picture on her nightstand.

It was a picture of Gizmo at the beach.

"I really miss you Gizmo." Rosie faintly said and tried to hold in the tears. It hasn't been easy for her, there were times that Rosie wants to cry everyday. However, Rosie realizes that the real world will be 10 times worse and she needs to stay strong.

Rebecca walked back to the room and sat down in front of Rosie. She smiled softly and set something in Rosie's hand.

Curiosity got the best of her and Rosie looked at what her mother gave her.

It was a small necklace that has a colorful stone in the center.

"When I went to get my PHDs, I had so many people not giving me a chance. My classmates thought I didn't have a chance because I was one of the few woman that were in the classes. Your grandpa gave me this necklace as a good luck charm to help me get through college. I normally don't believe in luck but having this necklace did motivate me. He told me to this necklace to my daughter if she's going through a rough time." Rebecca smiled and helped Rosie put the necklace on.

Rosie stared at the necklace and smiled slightly. She hugged Rebecca tightly and whispered, "Thanks mommy..."

Rebecca held her close and tried to cheer her up.

"Why don't we go out for dinner tonight? We could go to the Japanese Steakhouse that your aunt Beverly took us once." Rebecca suggested.

Rosie asked, "Is it where we sit in front of a large stove...and where the fire goes up like crazy?"

The last time that Rosie went with her parents to the restaurant, she was amazed by neatly decorated the Japanese Steakhouse. She liked the koi fish pond in the entrance of the restaurant. However when Rosie first witness the large fire, she immediately went to hide behind her father.

It wasn't her proudest moment but Rosie did loved the overall experience.

"Yes, don't worry Rosie. If the fire scares you again, you can hide behind your father again. I'm sure he won't mind." Rebecca giggled.

Rosie began to pout, "He's probably thought I was a little girl again when I cling to his arm that time. But you can't blame me! I was taught to run away from fire if I see it. I saw the fire and my first instincts were to run."

I'm back! I am so sorry the late update! I had a bad case of writer's block and it took a while to finish this chapter. When I first typed it out, I had to rewrite the chapter three times until I was satisfied with it.

Thank you for the review YellowAngela. I agree with you, personal experiences does help make the stories more real. Sometimes I try reading some books that I have. But the books I have are Manga or books from middle school. I feel bad for doing that to Rosie :( But things will get better, I always tell myself that if you're having bad moments in your life, then later you will have the best moments :) Van Kleiss is still out there, but where is he? Who knows... ):3

I'm trying to keep a schedule going for this story. My goal is to post a chapter every week. So chapter 26 will come out next week, so stay tune until next time. Stay safe out there everyone and have a great night :)
