Without further ado, let the chapter begin!

Staying up wasn't a good idea in Rosie's opinion, but when she can't sleep then that's when she felt like it was justified. Lately Rosie couldn't get a good eight hour sleep and she doesn't know why. Normally when her sleep schedule is off, Rosie had some remedies that would help.

Her grandmother would recommend that Rosie would drink some tea before she went to bed. Most of the time, the tea helped Rosie when she was in middle school. Now that she's in high school, it doesn't hold the same affect like it did before.

Another thing Rosie would do to help sleep through the night was to go for a run. After she had dinner, Rosie would go jogging around her neighborhood until she felt tired. However, Gizmo would always accompany her and now that he's gone, it doesn't feel the same for Rosie.

Without much options, Rosie pulled out a CD player from her closet and grabbed a CD. She quietly went back to her bed and set the player on her nightstand.

After she plugged in the cord, Rosie placed the CD in the player and made sure the volume was on low. The sound of the piano playing helped Rosie calm down. She sat up on her bed and stretched her arms out.

"I just want a decent night's sleep. That's all I want." Rosie told herself.

She tried to close her eyes when her laptop was getting video call. Not knowing who it might be, Rosie got out of bed and approached her laptop.

Aaron.

Worried that something happen, Rosie accept the call and sat down at her chair, "Aaron? What's wrong?"

"I felt a disturbance in the force. What's going on?" Aaron frowned.

'He's good.' Rosie thought to herself.

Rosie grabbed her laptop and carefully set it on the nightstand. She made sure it was facing her bed as she went to sit down on her bed.

"I'm just having a little bit of trouble sleeping. Nothing new." Rosie admitted and wrapped her blanket around herself. She sat up and looked at her laptop screen. Aaron didn't look amused and he crossed his arms, "Go to bed."

Rosie made a face, "I'm trying. Nothing is working Aaron. Unless you have a few suggestions that can help me go to sleep?"

Aaron thought about it, he disappeared from the camera for a moment. Rosie heard some faint shuffling and noises in the background. She was wondering what is he doing.

After a while, Aaron appeared back with a guitar in his arms. Rosie seemed confused to see Aaron with a guitar.

Before she could ask, Aaron stared at her.

"Whenever Aurora has a hard time sleeping, I would play my guitar to get her to sleep. Trust me, it works." Aaron admitted.

Rosie went to lay down in her bed and said, "Why don't you give it a try? I'll try anything."

Aaron started to play his guitar in a soft tune while Rosie was closing her eyes. She was starting to feel drowsy but hadn't fallen asleep yet.

Before Rosie could officially fall asleep, she felt something on her stomach. She was confused to what it was and tried to ask Aaron what the thing was. However, she couldn't move her lips, there was no noise coming out of her.

After she opened her eyes, Rosie spotted a terrifying monster looking down at her. Its hand was covered with sharp claws and the monster kept applying pressure on Rosie's stomach. The strange creature started to opened its mouth, there was rows of teeth with some blood on them. It started to screech loudly and creep close to Rosie.

Rosie glanced to the laptop with her eyes and wondered what Aaron was doing.

Surely he sees the monster making its way towards her. Why isn't he doing anything to help her?

Aaron was busy fixing the strings on his guitar to noticed her. She tried to move, she tried to scream, she's trying to do anything. Her body wasn't doing anything, it made her feel like a rag dog.

Luckily, Aaron glanced up at the screen and noticed Rosie was awake. He noticed the fear in Rosie's eyes and she was starting to breathe heavily.

"Hey, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" Aaron frowned.

Rosie couldn't respond since nothing came out of her mouth. The only thing she could do was frantically glanced back and forth from the screen and the monster.

Realizing that something was wrong, Aaron grabbed his phone and called Six to warn him of the possible intruder.

"I think you might've experienced a sleep paralysis." Farron told Rosie while they were working on their ceramic projects during class.

Rosie explained to Farron what happened to her last night. Apparently when Six entered her room, there was no monster. Aaron had to explain over the phone that Rosie seemed terrified and couldn't say what's wrong.

So Rosie can assume that her mind was playing tricks on her. But something about that monster was real to her. She could feel those claws trying to slice her open like a gutted fish.

"I thought adults could only experience that?" Rosie whispered.

Farron frowned, "No, its common for some teens to first experience sleep paralysis. When you become an adults is when the sleep paralysis could frequently happen."

Rosie sigh and covered her face in misery. Just when she thinks her life is slowly getting getting on the right path, something gets int the way.

Farron saw Rosie pulled her hands away and had a gloom look on her face. Not wanting to see her upset, Farron decides to suggest something.

He pointed Rosie's shoulder to get her attention and smiled. Rosie glanced up at him and whispered, "What happened?"

"Do you want to go roller skating with me tonight? That can help lift up your spirit." Farron smiled.

Roller skating? Out of all the things Rosie had tried in the past, roller skating wasn't one of the things. How hard could it be to learn how to roller skate?

Rosie whispered, "I've never been roller skating before."

"Trust me, you'll get the hang of it. You need to have fun every once and a while. You've always had to think about Ava, Providence related business, or school. Its nice to try to do something fun to calm your mind." Farron admitted.

Rosie stared at Farron and started to smile. She felt a bit happy that she has someone looking out for her. It seems to fill the void in her heart after so many people left her. Losing Ryan and Emily was painful for her at first, then Ava and Aaron had to leave her too. That's when everything seems to piling on Rosie. She never liked it but she thought she could handle it, until now.

"Rosalind. Farron. Enough taking and more working. You know your participation points will be taken off if you just spend the whole class talking." Mr. Nelson scold at them.

Some of their classmates began to quietly snicker at them.

Rosie resist the urge to roll her eyes and started to work on the lid of her box. Farron glared at Mr. Nelson and started to work on wedging the sides together.

Once Mr. Nelson was walking across the classroom to check on the other students, they were relief.

"Did I mention how much I hate that guy?" Farron whispered to Rosie.

Rosie quietly giggled and shushed, "I hate him too. But focus on your work, otherwise he'll bring our A down to a B."

They smiled at each other then continued working. From across the classroom, Suzie narrowed her eyes at Rosie. She didn't like how Rosie was finally finding some happiness and she wanted to end that.

At lunch time, Ryan was walking down the hallway with a few students scrambling around. They were either heading to the cafeteria, the snack line, or the library. He already has his lunch box with him so Ryan started heading to where he usually meets Suzie at lunch.

He made a turn around the corner when someone bumped into him.

"Sorry." Ryan blurted out and was stunned to see it was Rosie.

The last time he saw Rosie in person was when they ended their friendship at the woods. Sure he would see her at school a few times a day but this was different. He was use to see her looking like a beaten up puppy when school started.

Ryan had a feeling that it was because Aaron wasn't with her.

"Ryan?" Rosie whispered when she looked up at him.

Ryan wanted to walk away, he knew Suzie wouldn't like if she saw them together. Except, Ryan couldn't bare to move away. Rosie smiled brightly and said, "Sorry for bumping into you. I really need to see Ms. Shields now. See you around."

Feeling pity for his former best friend, Ryan tried to tell her that she could talk to him when she needs it.

"Hey Rosie! Ready to go?" They heard Farron called out from the end of the hallway.

Rosie continued to smiled and jogged ahead, "I'm coming!"

Seeing Rosie running towards Farron made Ryan feel a sting in his chest. She wasn't putting on a brave face, Rosie was genuinely happy without him. Farron smiled at Rosie and they made their way to Ms. Shields' small classroom. Ryan stood at the hallway by himself.

"What...Why is she so happy? We were friends since kindergarten...she should still be depressed...how is she so optimist after what happened?" Ryan whispered and started to feel an ache in his heart.

'Do you have any idea how much you hurt Rosie? The day that you two end your friendship, she went to me crying. How can you choose a girl you barely even know over Rosie? She's known you since you were in kindergarten?' Emily's words echoed in his mind.

'Dude, girlfriends come and go. But a good friend like Rosie once comes in once. How can you do that to her?' His other friends would tell him.

Ryan muttered under his breathe and crossed his arms, "Its...not my problem anymore. She moved on."

"Are we there yet?" Rosie asked Farron as he was driving to the roller skating arena.

Farron chuckled, "Just a few more minutes. Have a little patience."

Rosie slightly pout but decides to text Aaron that she was almost there. When Farron came along, Rosie told Aaron about him so he wouldn't think anything bad about him. Seeing that Farron could be a good friend to Rosie, Aaron decides to give him a chance. Since Aaron wasn't there for Rosie at her last year of school, he wants Farron to keep her company.

But he wasn't going to let Farron be more than just friends!

Farron arrived at the arena and parked his car in an empty parking lot spot. He glanced at Rosie, she kept smiling at her phone and was blushing.

"Ooo, is someone in love?" Farron teased.

Rosie turned bright red, isn't of being in denial, she just continued to smiled.

"SHUT UP! You love someone!? And Six approves of this!?" Farron grinned.

Rosie smacked Farron at the shoulder and stuttered, "H-Hey! Just focus on the roller skating!"

They exit the car and made their way inside of the arena. Farron kept trying to get more information out of Rosie but she kept trying to avoid the questions.

"Wait, is it that guy that was your bodyguard? What was his name again? Barron?" Farron guessed.

Rosie stopped and looked at Farron.

"...How did you know about Aaron?" Rosie whispered.

Farron began to smiled, "Rosie, most of Providence know about Aaron. Your dad took an interest on him two years ago. He was brought to Providence because of Six and offered to train him."

Rosie wasn't surprised to hear that. Out of anyone, Six choose Aaron and it had to be for a reason. Her father never trust anyone else with her safety.

"Would you believe me if I told you that so many agents are placing bets on you and Aaron?" Farron joked.

Rosie blushed, "What!?"
