Without further ado, let the chapter begin!

Aaron's screams of pain echoed around the vacant room that only had Van Kleiss and Michael. He grind his teeth together to stop him from screaming. Michael moved a switch from the wall to stop the electrocution. Aaron was strapped on a metal table and there was no escaping it.

"Had enough yet son?" Michael asked trying to ease the tension.

Aaron immediately glared at the doctor and harshly muttered, "Don't call me son."

Van Kleiss grinned and taunted, "Is there a reason why you don't want him to call you son? Perhaps its because of the strain relationship you have with your own father?"

Aaron knew that Van Kleiss was trying to get to him. He glared at the mad man and didn't say a word.

"I've done my research child. I know all about you. Tell me, how's your father after he has abandoned you and your siblings?" Van Kleiss asked.

He wanted a reaction from Aaron but it wasn't easy. Aaron continues with his death stare and kept his mouth shut. Van Kleiss knew the best way to make Aaron break was to continued with the interrogation.

"Did it make your blood boil when your brother didn't help you? He already graduated from college and found a stable job, so why was he selfish? The right thing to do after your father abandoned his family is to step in and take care of you and your sister. Am I wrong?" Van Kleiss remarked.

Aaron's right eye twitched slightly but he didn't want to give Van Kleiss the satisfaction that he broke him.

Michael approached Aaron and agreed, "He's right you know. The fact that your Aunt had to gain custody of you and your sister was interesting. Yet you decide to forgive your brother this year. Why is that?"

It was true that Aaron and Liam did have a long talk this year after they avoided each other for the past two years. They admit their faults are in good terms for the time being. Aaron didn't thought that he would forgive Liam for not helping their family during the trouble time. A certain someone suggested, "You know, forgiveness doesn't excuse their behavior. But forgiveness prevents their behavior from destroying your heart. Aaron, I know you want to have your brother back in your life. Try talking things out, if you won't do that for yourself, then do it for your Aunt and sister. Do it for me."

Van Kleiss grinned, "I think it has something to do with a certain young woman? Like Rosalind Holiday?"

Aaron tried to forcibly get the restraints off of him but only made the table moved an inch. Van Kleiss raised an eyebrow and then looked at Michael, "Continue the interrogation by mentioning the girl. I'm going to pay a visit to my children."

"No wait!" Aaron hissed as he kept pulling on the restraints.

"Your efforts are futile." Michael remarked until Aaron yelled, "I'll do anything you want, just leave Ava alone."

Michael looked at Aaron and then murmured to Van Kleiss quietly.

"He is a suitable test subject. He's athletic and might make it through the trails. Shall I get started with the nanite experiment?" Michael suggested.

Van Kleiss narrowed his eyes at Aaron and agreed, "Go through with the experiment. He might be good use for us."

"Very well sir." Michael bowed and went to out of the tables that has different contraptions and medical supplies. Aaron grunted quietly and thought to himself about staying strong. He had a feeling that Providence will arrive soon, but it won't be in a few days. It might be in a few weeks. Regardless to how long it would take, Aaron won't break down that easily.

Ava continued to cry as she stayed close to Rebecca. It was still late at night and after Aaron got taken, every agents were on high alert around the base. Six and Rebecca made it to Providence just an hour ago. They didn't take Rosie with them since she finally fell back to sleep by the time they got the call.

So they had to call Lucia to come over and watch over Rosie while they were gone.

"What happened while you were in your trance Ava?" Rebecca calmly asked while she wiped Ava's tears from her cheek.

Ava sniffled and rubbed her eyes, "I-I heard Aaron yell my name. Then I woke up to see Aaron getting taken away."

Rebecca held Ava close and comfort her the best she could. It was obvious that Ava was so much distress that she felt guilty about what happened.

"Any sign that Van Kleiss tried to get to Zane?" Rebecca asked Six when he entered in the lab. He shook his head and crossed his arms, "Security footage showed that Zane was still in his cell with nothing happened. He still refuses to say anything about what Van Kleiss could be planning."

Ava looked at Six and teared up, "Is Rosie mad at me?"

Both parents were surprised to hear Ava say that.

"Why would she be mad at you? Ava, you know Rosie cares about you and nothing you can do can make her upset." Rebecca reassured.

Ava covered her ears and cried, "Mama died to protect me...Zane is still mad at me. Aaron might die and then Rosie will be mad at me! I don't want that!"

The trauma that Ava went through still remains in her soul. It was clear that the therapy she has taken didn't work for her.

Ava sniffled and kept rubbing her eyes until she felt someone lift her chin up. She looked up to see Six, who has a more stern look.

"Ava, I promise you that no matter what happens, Rosie would never blame you for what happens to Aaron. I know if Rosie were in his position then she would have done the same thing. You can't blame yourself." Six explained.

Ava stayed close to Rebecca and looked sad, "But...Rosie loves Aaron, she'll be sad when she finds out."

Six took a moment to answer before he continued, "I know she loves him. But we'll get Aaron back in no time."

"Please don't tell her what happened." Ava begged.

Rebecca sigh, "We weren't planning to. With what's going on with Rosie right now, telling her about Aaron won't be such a good idea. For now, this will remain a secret until we get Aaron back and capture Van Kleiss and Dr. Rivers."

Ava squirmed a little, she didn't like keeping secrets after her visits with Van Kleiss. She knew lying is wrong and she should tell Rosie when she gets the chance. However, Ava was still scared about how Rosie will react. Rosie has been kind to Ava and she didn't want to make her sad. Whenever Ava was around Rosie and Aaron, she see the sparkle in their eyes whenever they were together.

It reminds Ava of the movies she sees with Rosie. Ava could tell it was true love.

Ava wants to make things right, she needs to find her father. Maybe if Ava goes to Van Kleiss then he can give Aaron back. The only thing that's holding Ava's plans back is that she doesn't know where he is. Suddenly, an idea came to her head.

Ava needs to see Zane in secret. He might know something that can help her.

Rosie stared at her phone for a moment while she was walking out of the student's parking lot.

There was no new messages from Aaron.

That seems odd to her but Rosie guessed that Aaron probably had a last minute mission at Providence. This sort of thing happens a few times ever since she met him. Rosie made a reminder to herself to ask her parents about Aaron's whereabouts after school.

Suddenly Farron appeared right beside her and smiled, "What's got you thinking?"

"Nothing. I was just waiting for my morning texts from Aaron." Rosie blushed.

Farron grinned and softly elbowed Rosie. He chuckled, "Come on, why don't you date him yet?"

Rosie gave him a look while they were walking to their ceramic class.

"Farron, think about what you said just now. Dad won't allow because of a few reason. Reason number 1, Aaron is twenty years old. I'm still a minor and in high school. Reason number 2, dad said I can't think about any boys until I'm finished with high school." Rosie went on about the reasons until Farron grabbed her phone.

He looked through the messages and remarked, "Aaron sends you some quotes? That's what you were waiting for?"

Rosie snatched her phone back and pouted, "You can't blame me. Aaron sends me some great texts. Like this one. One day I caught myself smiling for no reason, then I realized I was thinking of you."

Farron looked down at Rosie and smiled when he saw the fondness in her eyes. He felt his phone vibrate from his back pocket and pulled it out.

Mom

Farron immediately frowned and looked at Rosie, "Go on inside. I need to take this call."

"Okay. I'll get your stuff ready on the table." Rosie said while she walked inside the large art classroom.

Farron stepped away from the door and answered his phone.

"What's wrong mom?" Farron wondered while he held the phone close to his ear.

Amanda sigh, "Farron, something happened to Aaron and I want you to keep things a secret from Rosie."

Farron looked stunned and worriedly asked, "What happened to Aaron?"

"Last night, Van Kleiss tried to take Ava but Aaron got her away just in time. The only problem is that Aaron got captured. We're working on a rescue mission right now. Rebecca told me to tell you to keep an eye on Rosie. I suggest you take her out for something fun after school." Amanda whispered.

Farron exhaled quietly while he moved his hair back.

"I can try to think of something. Mom, I can't just hide something like this from her for too long. You said it yourself, girls can find out about things quickly." Farron stuttered.

Amanda promised that it won't take long. She knew she was asking her son for too much. She pleaded, "It'll only take a while sweetie. I promise it will be over."

Farron sigh and gave in, "Okay. But get Aaron back soon."

Farron hung up and turned around to head back to class. He stopped when Ryan was blocking the door. Ryan narrowed his eyes at Farron and demanded, "What's going on with Aaron?"

"This is Providence related business." Farron countered as he tried to push his way through the doors.

Ryan pulled Farron back and scowled, "Fine. I'll just tell Rosie."

Farron pushed Ryan away and frantically closed the door to the classroom. They were giving each other the darkest look possible. Farron warned, "If you tell Rosie about what you just heard then you're going to regret it."

Ryan retorted, "You know, real friends don't keep secrets from each other. Especially when it involves with the person that the friend might like."

That made Farron's blood boiled and he hissed, "What do you know about real friends?! If I recall correctly, you decide to choose a girl you barely know over Rosie. Who has been by your side since you two were kids. She was the one who encourage you to follow your dreams and help you through everything in school. And what's the thanks she got? Getting harassed and bullied by most of the kids at school and losing her best friend."

Ryan stood there and didn't dare to say anything else. Farron continued, "If you still care about her, then you'll keep your mouth shut. Right now, Rosie doesn't need to find about this. Got it?"

Ryan stepped away from the door and let Farron get inside the classroom. He slowly walked inside and looked at Rosie and Farron. She was looking at Farron with a concerned look while they were talking about something. Farron kept smiling and looked like he was telling her everything was fine. Seeing Rosie calm down and started smiling too made Ryan sigh quietly.

He went to sit down at his table and was next to Suzie.

Suzie looked at Ryan and frowned, "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing. Just regretting something."
