Happy Thanksgiving! Here's a little short for the holiday season!

"Danny, be careful," Sam cautioned the hero as he held the shattered remains of some sort of crystal, "Even when it's in pieces, that thing is very powerful when it's with its other parts."

"Sam, we don't even know what this thing is!" Danny said as he cradled the pieces in his cupped hands.

Elsa raised a brow, "We should take it to Clockwork. He might know what to do with it."

Danny sighed as he changed back into Fenton form, "Can't. The portal is shut down so mom and dad can fix something having to do with the ecto-filtrator. It won't be up til the end of the month."

Tucker snapped his fingers as he got an idea, "What if well all took a piece and kept it safe. That way, even if someone does find one, they don't have the others."

Danny's back slammed into the wall behind him. He grunted for a moment before his eyes widened. He quickly moved to the side and dodged the pink ecto-blast sent his way.

"Everyone got theirs?" Danny ask as the group stood in front of the school on the law. Tucker lifted his PDA, showing the keychain he had fashioned out of his shard. Elsa and Sam both showed off their new necklaces, Sam's being a choker. Danny took out his wallet and showed them his piece. "Great," he breathed, "Every piece is accounted for."

Danny cried out as he was blasted into the floor and a foot soon landed on his chest. He weakly resisted, his form converting back to human. The ghost that stood above him turned him over and forced his head against the metal floor.

"Where. Is. It?!"

Danny glared up at the ghost holding him down, "Don't know what you're talking about Plasmius." Half of him was screaming to just give up already. Vlad was somehow stealthier this time and much quicker. Danny's stamina had been beaten down and Vlad had just been throwing him around like a rag doll.

"And if you know what's good for you'll surrender and give me the crystal!"

The boy struggled a bit but accidentally let his wallet slip out of his jean pocket, making a small dink! sound on the metal floor. Vlad's posture relaxed and his face grew smug, knowing he had won. He leaned down and picked up the wallet, finding the shard inside. His face scrunched up in annoyance when he found only a piece but his eyes then landed on the picture that sat in the front of Danny's wallet. His four friends, all laughing together and smiling. Vlad smirked again and released Danny.

The ghost boy immediately transformed and moved to fly away but a hand grabbed his ankle before he could. He was slammed back and pinned against the wall. "Not so fast Daniel," Vlad growled, "I've developed some new technology that I've been dying to try out."

Danny only raised a brow before he was turned to the side and something cold and metal was stuck on the back of his neck. Electricity shot through him for a moment before everything went black.

"I don't know Valerie," Elsa said into her phone as she sat with her knees to her chest on her bed, "I know he's crazy busy but I… I'm tired of waiting you know?"

Valerie smiled at her friend as she finished cleaning her room on her end of the phone, "I keep telling you to make a move."

Elsa sighed, "Yeah but then there's a chance of it being weird between us."

Valerie scoffed, "Girl, Fenton would be lucky to even catch your attention let alone date you. You gotta seize your moment, take a risk. You're gonna regret it if you don't-"

The blonde smiled at her friend but paused when she saw a familiar silvery figure by the window. "Uh, Valerie," she stopped her friend, "Something's come up. I gotta go."

"Alright, but you better do something soon because if you don't, I will!"

Elsa smiled as she hung up on her friend and stood from her bed. She straightened her clothes before opening the doors to her balcony, letting in the crisp early night air. "Danny," she smiled as she closed her door, "I didn't expect you to come tonight."

She looked up and was surprised to find, where ghost green eyes had once been, bright red eyes that bore into her with intensity. But in Elsa's high school sleep deprived state, she just quirked a brow, "Did you get a new power or something? I know your eyes turn blue when you use your ice powers."

He just stared at her, bags under his eyes, a few scratches, and his hair slightly ruffled. She just brushed it off as him having a long day and not wanting to talk. "Listen Danny," Elsa said as she sucked in a breath of courage before sighing, taking out her necklace and fiddling with it nervously, "We've been friends for a while and I don't wanna ruin that but… Would you," she paused and closed her eyes, "W-Would you like to go out sometime? On a date?"

There was only one moment of silence before he grabbed her and launched into the sky.

To say that was not the response Elsa was expecting is an understatement.

She squealed and clung to him as he zoomed away at inhuman speeds. She soon found herself in Vlad's lab staring dumbfoundedly at the two halfas in front of her. She then noticed the metal piece on Danny's neck, red eyes, machine beeping and whirring behind Vlad.

"You have got to be kidding me," Elsa groaned to herself.

Vlad face palmed, "I didn't need you to bring her here, just her piece of the crystal. Oh, nevermind. There are always kinks in these mind control things. Ah well." He reached forward and ripped the chain off her neck.

"Hey!" she protested, "There's no need for that!"

Vlad just turned to his newest minion, "Call Sam and Tucker and tell them it's an emergency. We might as well bring the whole gang to my secret lair."

Danny wordlessly pulled out his phone and turned away. Vlad just smirked down at the girl before him, "I suppose you want to know what I'm planning, hm?"

Elsa just rolled her eyes. In all honesty, she was beyond done at this point. She doesn't know how Danny deals with the theatrics on a daily basis. "I really don't care," she glared at him, "What I care about is what you did to Danny."

"Simple mind control," Vlad brushed it off, "But I wouldn't try removing that ecto-implanter. It could seriously damage major nerves on the spinal cord."

Elsa's eyes widened before stronger arms held her against a hard chest. She looked up to find blank red eyes above her as Vlad took the crystal further into his lab, doing god knows what.

She cast a worried look towards Danny and opened her mouth to try and talk to him but before she could the wall was blasted down and in flew the specter speeder. Sam and Tucker lept out from the vehicle with their weapons ready.

"Sam! Tucker!" she called and broke free of Danny's arms in his moment of surprise, "Danny's under control! It's a trap!"

They all ducked behind the speeder as Vlad's defense system activated and fired at them. "Elsa?" Sam asked, "What on earth is happening?"

Elsa sighed, "Your guess is as good as mine. Vlad's pulling another one of his stunts and this time he's dragged Danny into it. See that little metal chip on his neck? It's controlling him."

"So we need to get it off," Tucker said.

Elsa shook her head, "No, Vlad said it might hurt Danny. Even if he isn't telling the truth, that's not a risk I wanna take."

Vlad suddenly appeared in front of them and blasted at the kids. Sam was quick enough to fire a shot back at him but the force of the ecto blasts knocked them in three separate directions. Sam was the first to recover. She looked at her surroundings and noticed Danny staring at where Elsa had landed, his eyes slightly softer.

Sam quickly grabbed Elsa and ducked behind a lab table with Tucker. "Here," she handed Tucker her ecto gun.

He eyed it warily, "Are you sure you want me shooting the gun?"

Sam just rolled her eyes before looking back at the girl beside her. "Elsa, you gotta try to talk to Danny."

"What?"

"Listen," she tried again, "He reacted to when you were hurt. Maybe you can get to him."

Elsa looked over at Danny, who was now fighting to stay upright. Vlad had probably ran him into the ground, not giving him time to rest at any point. Her resolve hardened as she thought of Danny Fenton beat down and tired deep inside the town superhero. She gave Sam a nod before moving to try and sneak over to Danny.

Tucker, instead of actually attacking Vlad, had gotten into the lab system and now was turning Vlad's weapons towards him, keeping him distracted while Elsa stood from hiding and grabbed Danny's shoulders.

"Danny?" she asked. She only received a tired red glassy eyed stare. "Danny I know you're tired but snap out of it," she tried, "Come on Danny try to remember me, Sam, and Tucker. The stupid people at school. Your parents and Jazz!"

Those red eyes just stared blankly at her. She groaned in frustration. "Danny!" she yelled, "You can't just leave us like this. Come back to us. I know you're in there!"

Receiving nothing, Elsa had just about had enough. She stomped her foot angrily before grabbing Danny's face and kissing him. Danny's body tensed up for a moment before he relaxed into the kiss. The controlled ghost even so much as held her against him for a few moments until the little metal piece on the back of his neck fell off and clinked on the ground.

They pulled away from each other and Elsa watched as red eyes turned back to green. But he could barely stand, leaning most of his weight on Elsa. She helped him sit down on the floor behind another lab table.

He clutched his head for moment before he blinked at his surroundings, "Where-?"

"Vlad," was all Elsa said, cutting him off and placing a supportive hand on his shoulder, "He used you with mind control and tried to steal the crystal."

Danny's eyes snapped up before they narrowed, "He what?" The half ghost turned and peek around the corner to find Vlad still deflecting his own security system. "Stay here," he told Elsa before zooming out to promptly inflict satisfying payback on Vlad.

Sam, Tucker, and Elsa all stood in the Fenton's lab. Danny had gone to give the pieces to Clockwork and they were just waiting for him to return. Tucker smirked over at Elsa. "So," he drawled out, "Elsa, you-"

"Not a word Foley," Elsa warned without even looking at him, "Not one word."

After a while Danny returned, cheeks bright red. His eyes landed on Elsa. "I-I, um… Clockwork showed me what happened at Vlad's."

Elsa's eyes widened and her cheeks color instantly.

Sam and Tucker shared a look before nodding. "Alright you two, see you at school tomorrow," Sam said as the two friends hurried up the stairs, leaving the other two in the basement by the ghost portal.
